Some things are easy to hide, but some truths are undeniable.
Booker
I follow the rules. It’s what I do. In school, at church, on the ice, and definitely at home. Because if I follow all the rules, and do everything exactly the way I’m supposed to, no one will see everything I’m trying so damn hard to hide.
But he sees. No matter how good I think I am at playing it cool, at staying under the radar (gaydar?!), Ian sees me. It’s like he understands my head and my heart better than I do. And I can’t risk that. I can’t risk letting him see who I really am and what I really want.
Because no matter how much I want it, I can’t have it.
But I can’t escape him, either. All of our friends are coupled up, and he’s the TA in my Human Sexuality class. So, the first thing on my to-do list is to drop that class. And the second is stop crushing on Ian McBride.
Undeniable is a full-length M/M romance with a lovable jock, a sexy know-it-all, and lots of steam. It is the fourth inter-connected STANDALONE in the Bainbridge University Series and it follows Uncovered, Unknown, and Uninhibited. They are all standalones, but for the best reader experience, they should be read in order.
RTC but I really enjoyed so many ideas behind this one and I really wished that I enjoyed it more than I did because it could have been a perfect book for me but sadly I just really struggled getting into this book. I still enjoyed it and I really liked the themes that it explored, I just couldn’t really connect to the story.
I received an arc of this book and this is my honest opinion
Undeniable, book four, the final book in the Bainbridge University series by Andi Burns- My rating for this book is 3.5, rounded up.
I went into this book being excited to finally read Booker’s story. While I enjoyed reading it, I feel like something was missing. It wasn’t anything to do with the plot, which was seamless from start to finish…Maybe it just wasn’t as exciting of a read for me, as the previous books in the series?
This book is the story of Booker and Ian. Booker is the quiet one of the Bainbridge boys. He keeps his head down, gets good grades and lives to play college hockey. He comes from a family headed by a religious zealot (his father,) and doesn’t curse, doesn’t really party and isn’t sexually promiscuous like his friends and most young adults his age. His dream is to play hockey professionally but his father believes thats a life of sin and wont be “allowing” Booker to continue to play hockey after college. The expectation is that he will get a real career and settle down when he graduates. Ian has met Booker previously through mutual friends and he works at The Drip, the campus coffee house so he’s seen Booker plenty of times. Ian ends up being the teaching assistant for a sex class that Booker is enrolled in. This class is when Booker starts taking more notice of Ian…
The pace was off a bit, I think. Booker and Ian spend a lot of time and effort trying to hide their attraction to each other and then BAM. They’re kissing and in a relationship. Instalove. The author has a knack for writing well developed support characters, the found family trope is very strong, much like the previous books in the series. They operate much like their own family unit and I love reading about them. There are strong religious tones, and we see Booker and his sisters questioning a lot of what their father preaches at them. There is fantastic LBGTQIA+ representation and disability representation. We really get to see the evolution of the relationship and growth between Booker and Ian, it was a beautiful thing to read. I liked how the book ended but again, I feel like overall the book was lacking excitement. I hope the author decides to write a novella or another book so we can see what everyone is up to in a few years.
I received an advance reader copy and am leaving my review voluntarily.
What a cute end to the Bainbridge series, but I’m so sad it’s over!!I got really immersed with this group of boys and their lives. I like that Booker was left for last, as he was the one I was most intrigued about, with his family being the way that they are. I was curious how that was going to play out, seeing as the only route I could imagine happening was going to get ugly somehow. But I loved reading Booker and Ian’s love story and how they finally came together (pun intended?)! Booker finally accepted and learned more of who he is, and Ian was there all along the way. I also loved that Booker really learned about his identity through a class Ian was helping teach. Like… perfect. What’s also perfect? This coupling of a hockey player and hot, nerdy professor.
Thank you Literally Yours PR, Booksprout and Andi Burns for the early copy and for giving me the opportunity to read all the books in this series. I am voluntarily leaving a review.
Booker's dad is a zealot, he has made his family miserable with his overbearing and his way or the highway rules and it continues to get worse and worse. Booker's only refuge is hockey. He promised his dad that he would play in college and that was it. After graduation he would work with his dad (which I don't think was ever made very clear). But Booker just wants to play hockey, yet he knows he can't stand up to his dad. When the athletic academic advisor signed him up for Psych of Human Sexuality, the class opened up Booker's eyes and helped him to admit some truths about himself and the TA for the class, Ian. Ian grew up in a small farming town when he was in eighth grade, so he has always known who he is and grew up in a house that loved and supported him. Even fought off bullies and bigots for him. The exact opposite of the upbringing that Booker had. Ian has always had a secret crush on Booker but always thought he was straight, so he always tried to push his crush deep down. But the more time these two spend together the more they both realize that can't keep anything buried anymore.
I have been very eager for Booker's story from the very beginning. He always intrigued me, and his story did not disappoint. It was heartbreaking and hard to read at times because of all that he went through with his dad. But he was such an amazing character and I loved who he was and the journey that he went on. And I do have to say that this is 100% Booker's story. About discovering himself, breaking away from his dad to chase his dreams and to go after what sets his soul on fire. Also loved seeing the interaction with all the roommates, how accepting they were, how fun and loving they are all together; legit found family those guys are, and I couldn’t love them all more. I am sad to see them all go but this has been a fantastic series.
Booker was the quiet, studious one of the group who only seemed to come alive when it came to hockey. He’d grown up with an overly religious father who didn’t approve of Booker playing hockey so definitely wouldn’t be supportive in his choice of partner…. Ian!
Undeniable was a story of Booker’s journey of self-discovery, of realising who he really was and accepting it. The differences between him and Ian really stood out. Even though he had grown up in a small farming town, Ian had always had the love and support of his family so was confident in himself. He’d crushed on Booker from afar, believing him to be straight, while Booker had an oppressive childhood where his father’s word was law and there was no room for individuality of any kind. This just made the development of his character all the more special as he realised, he had to be true to himself. This series has been a joy to read from the first book to the last. With fantastic characters, amazing friendships that showed family isn’t just blood and heartfelt stories, I’m sorry to be saying goodbye to Bainbridge University.
Undeniable by Andi Burns , Bainbridge University 4 …
A good solid read that kept me glued to the pages.. Booker, his sport is Ice Hockey , his father a religious bigot who tries to force his opinions directly to his son.
Their communication was non existent .
Ian, confident, his passion for everything , he was the glue to Booker.. Bookers selfishness is that wonderful part of him , a part that Ian wanted …
I loved the cast of characters, they bought humour into the story… An extremely slow burn that was all the better for waiting….
Booker and Ian story was absolutely breathtaking. I have adored these two from the start of this series. With out giving too much away I’ll say this. Ian is such an amazing friend, always there for the ones he loves. He is a great sounding board and gives the best advice. Booker does everything that is expected of him. Doesn’t swear, always follows the rules. But when you finally realize who you love and stop fighting it, you can’t help but root for such a great couple. Ian and Booker just make a lot sense. They make each other better. I honestly had a smile on my face throughout the whole book. And let’s not forget the bonds of friendship they have. I love how fierce and protective they all are. This series was absolutely incredible and this was such an incredible ending to an amazing series.
Finally Booker’s story!! It was the perfect ending to this series. Seriously I’m glad his was last. Ian & Booker we’re beyond adorable together! I’m going to miss this family of friends & I can’t wait to do rereads.
Ian’s personal life was different than I was expecting but so very him. He was an insanely great guy & busier than any one person should be. He was so open & honestly I found his class extremely interesting. Makes me wish I had went to college & taken a class like his.
Booker was one of my favourite characters since we met him. My heart broke for him with everything he had to go through with his dad. Although I really liked how everything played out in the end.
I do wish we got more of an extended epilogue with the entire gang because I’m not ready to leave them. Hopefully we get a novella with more of their future lives.
Undeniable by Andi Burns, is the fourth book in the Bainbridge University Series, to close this series it's the turn of Booker Zabek, this boy is a housemate and friend of Ty, Knox and Whit, he is a hockey player at BU and comes from a very strict christian family, his father dictates his life and that of his sisters, and although it's sometimes difficult for him, he has always tried to follow the rules that have been imposed on him, even if that costs him the ability to be honest with himself. , when he feels that there is nothing he can do to change his circumstances or give him the strength to face his father, this chnge when he meets Ian McBride for whom after establishing a friendship he begins to feel attracted and that is where, thanks to Ian, he goes to fight for what he wants and to be honest with himself without fear of others. Ian has always had a crush on Booker and when they start to give themself a chance and explore their feelings, those feelings multiply, but they won't have an easy time when they have to face obstacles and their own internal struggles. This story presents the struggle of these two boys to find their paths and be true to who they are, although it's not my type of story, it was the closing of a series that I loved since the first book and of which these characters had taken over my heart, so I have to read this story, in the previous books we had a small idea of Booker's path and that is why I decided to give his story a chance, which is sweet and full of challenges and growth, always surrounded by the unconditional love and support of his friends, who are this beautiful found family. Totally Recommended! *Thanks to Andi Burns and Literally Yours PR for my ARC. I voluntarily leave my honest review*
¡Totalmente Recomendada! *Gracias a Andi Burns y a Literally Yours PR por mi ARC. Dejo voluntariamente mi reseña honesta*
Undeniableis the fourth and final book from theBainbridge Universityseries by Andi Burns. Through dual perspective, it tells the story of Booker ‘Book’ Elliot Zabek and Ian McBride.
Following Booker and Ian’s story had Andi leading you on a quite an emotional and angsty journey. Creating very raw and deeply heartfelt moments throughout, given the paces that Booker and Ian are ultimately put through individually and together. However it wasn’t surprising given the battles they had to face with the hurdles and obstacles they were made to overcome. In Booker’s case he faced many, of which mostly took place at the hands of his religious bigot of a father, due to his extremist views. Leading Booker having to face constant verbal abuse that was truly disheartening to see him go through. Ultimately leading to a lot of tension filled moments that were intense. Despite that, there was laughter from the humorous moments to take away from the harder times. Resulting in a balance of light, sweet and romance leading to some Fiery steam between the two.
When it came to the narratives pacing that Andi set for Booker and Ian’s story in the beginning, it allowed us to get a real feel for both of the characters. Not only did we get to learn about them through their dual perspective. But having the further in-depth look into their journey of who they are, what they think and feel and how they deal with everything going on in their lives gave us all the answers needed to questions that may have popped up. In doing so all of this, Andi gave a genuine feel to the storyline as the book progressed onwards. And with the way Andi brought forth sensitive subject topics when it came to religion and sexuality, given the dilemma Booker faces in dealing with the two. The way it was handled was done so by giving a realistic answer and outcome that would be expected to be found in this day and age, within the real world. Adding onto that real-life feel.
Whilst the story was a good read, there were a couple of things that had me not so keen on. Considering that the narrative started off as a Slow Burn, once Booker and Ian officially established their relationship it seemed the narrative upped its pace with becoming a Fast Burn. All due to the fact how quickly Booker and Ian kept jumping ahead together in their relationship. Considering how long it took them to become a couple, it would’ve been nice to see them take their time with exploring their newly formed relationship instead. Also because IMO it seemed to contradict what they claimed they wanted with taking it slow. The other thing that Andi could’ve done was include more chapters from Booker’sPOV. Especially when it came to the steamy moments, just because with Booker being new to it all with still carrying his V card. It would’ve been good to hear about his experience and feelings going into it all, giving us even more of an understanding to his character.
All in all, Andi Burns did a good job writing Booker and Ian’s storyUndeniable.Especially considering this was her first MM book. And with this being the finale in theBainbridge Universityseries, she did a great job overall with still incorporating all the characters throughout the series. All whilst not taking away from the main story. Safe to say Andi has me looking forward to her next series.
*I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review.
"Undeniable" by Andi Burns is a fantastic MM college sports romance story. This is a slow-burn, chemistry-filled love story between Booker and Ty.
Both characters were introduced in the previous books, but now we get to know them both on a deeper level.
I enjoyed many aspects of the story and LOVED both characters, but I didn't connect with their relationship as deeply as I did with other books in the series.
Please, don't misunderstand me, though, because that doesn’t stop me from praising this book and its author; this is still a great story overall.
You'll laugh at the witty banter between these two and the other characters like Whit and Knox.
You'll probably cheer Booker on as his boundaries are pushed and explored as he gets to know himself. ❤️
"No kiss has ever felt this good. No touch this electric. No need this frantic. It's like I've been asleep my whole life, and I'm finally waking up."
You might even cry as you read Booker's journey to stand up to his father and pursue his dream despite his father's beliefs. I felt very empathetic and emotional towards Booker.
Lastly, you'll possibly swoon with Ty as he falls in love with a good guy and gets his HEA. He's a perfect fit for Booker. 🥰
"He leans in and kisses me. And right there, on center ice, my heart melts."
“Undeniable” explored some compelling themes that I am fond of reading about, such as personal growth, pursuing one's dreams, and the intersection of personal beliefs with family expectations.
5 Key Points:
Booker's Background: Booker comes from a religious family with a zealous father. He is a dedicated hockey player, focused on his studies, and doesn't engage in typical college partying or promiscuity. His dream is to play hockey professionally, but his father opposes this career path.
Booker's Struggles: The story revolves around Booker's struggle to stand up to his father and pursue his dream despite his father's beliefs, and this journey is a central theme of the book. Booker learning about himself and his sexuality is the other very prominent theme.
Ty's Background: Ty, on the other hand, has a different background. He is openly gay, has a supportive family, and is working towards graduate school to become a psychologist. He and Booker are in the same friend circle but are not very close.
Psych of Human Sexuality class: This is the class that puts them in each other’s orbits much more frequently because Ty is the TA. Booker’s boundaries are pushed and explored because of this class. This is good for several reasons; one of them being the opportunity for Ty and Booker to connect.
Connection to Characters: I felt empathetic towards Booker due to his religious background. I had an emotional reaction to his thoughts on sex, dating, and making choices that differed from his parents' expectations. In fact, some things just felt so familiar to issues I’ve had to face. It was both a positive and a negative thing.
I didn't connect with Ty as much as I would have liked. I did not connect with him as I have with the characters in the other books in this series.
The lack of a deep connection with Ty may have influenced my overall experience with the story, but this is still a high-rated read; I definitely recommend this book.
I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.
I wrote this review in my head in the shower and now can't remember any of it
(3.5 stars) My feelings are very mixed on this one. It's dual POV, slow burn, set in college, sports and LGBTQ romance—all my favorite things. Booker was raised in an abusive and religious home, and his sexuality is something he never considered until he starts falling for his TA in his Psychology of Human Sexuality class.
*I want to note that Ian is no longer Booker's TA by the time they get together*
TW: religious trauma/abuse, homophobia, ableism towards side character, side character with mental health scare
I love seeing religious trauma represented in books because it is SO common and still culturally taboo enough that it's not represented often. And this was mostly great rep for that! The religion is never specified, but it's part of Christianity and his dad is some sort of pastor I think? However, when the romance starts to pick up, Booker is ready to dive in headfirst to this same-sex relationship, a relationship that he was raised to believe is a sin. Add his virginity to the mix, and it seems super out of character. IDK maybe there are people out there who would be able to shed body insecurity, religious trauma, and cultural stigma just to get it on, but I am definitely not one of them.
Booker's family is super interesting, and I'm glad we got so many scenes of the dynamic. His sister is deaf and the other sister is rebellious AF and the exact kind of person I would be in her situation. I want books about them! They were way more interesting, and Fallon is old enough for a NA romance. I loved especially that the abusive dynamic is shown with more than just religious oppression, but in the ways that the father won't sign and insists on Fallon reading lips—even though the whole family knows ASL.
I think the representation is so great in this book, in all the aspects. A side character has mental health issues, the sports team dynamic was realistic. There is a huge cast of character because this is book four in an interconnected series of standalones, and they all live together. I love big casts of characters, but this is a tricky one to read as a standalone. And a few of the stories in the other books made me uncomfy (stepsister trope, being one) so I won't be getting to know the characters better.
Another problem I had was that I literally cannot remember anything about Ian's storyline. And this book hasn't been reviewed by anyone really so I can't cheat and see their opinions. I also know I'm missing some trigger warnings, but I read this one quickly and in the middle of the night, so I didn't have the foresight to take notes.
So while the characters could have used some work and the relationship felt rushed, there was great chemistry and representation. The sports element is pretty low, so if you aren't big on hockey like me you won't have to skim.
Thank you to Grey's Promotion for the early copy. My opinions are my own.
So I have to start off with saying that I'm breaking my rule of reading things in order and reading this one first. And before you think I'm crazy, I have a good reason! Cause I do truly hate reading things out of order LOL. So I received an ARC of Andi Burns's newest book Scoring Chance. I saw hockey and romance and having read her Moo U Hockey book, I jumped for a chance to read it. But after opening I learned that it was part of the Bainbridge University books. And with the book only days away from coming out, I didn't think I would have time to read all of Bainbridge University books before reading Scoring Chance on time before it released. I also chose to at least read book 4 of BU because when I saw the character list in Scoring Chance it mentioned Booker. So I figured I could at least read his story. And reading his story, I could definitely tell I missed things from the previous books, but with the focus on Booker and Ian, I still enjoyed the story and you don't feel lost. You just know that you aren't getting everyone's stories but you don't get too spoiled either. And it also just means I'll have to go back and read the rest later.
So! Now to my review about Booker and Ian's story! Even without their background and cameos I know are definitely in the rest of the series, I still loved their story and felt like I wasn't truly missing anything about them. Booker has been following the rules all his life. Despite the fact that in doing so, he is giving up some of his dreams and who he is along the way. He just doesn't see a way out at the moment or even something worth fighting for to finally be brave and stand up to his awful dad so he can live his life the way he wants. That is, until he finally acknowledges Ian. Ian who has become his friend in the past months and who he is realizing he is very attractive to. Something that hasn't really happened for him. But Ian wakes him up. And once he is awake and ready to finally stop burying who he is, Booker can finally be happy. Ian on the other hand has had a crush on Booker for a while. But never imagined the chance of something happening between them. But when Booker is in the class Ian is TAing in and they start to see one another more and more, Ian's feelings only grow. There are plenty of obstacles along the way. Whether it's outside stuff or just their own inner issues. But these two were just so cute, you can't help but cheer for them. They both grow as people as they fall more and more in love. I loved their story and I definitely want to go back and read previous books.
The final book in Andi Burns' Bainbridge University series was the perfect conclusion. UNDENIABLE was an emotional journey of self-discovery, friendship, and first love. Andi kept me captivated with her wonderful words, amazing friendships, and the love of a found family.
Booker Zabek has one great love and dream ... hockey and the chance to play in the NHL, running close second are his 'brothers', Whit, Ty and Knox, his found family. His own family is a mess, thanks to his tyrannical and bigoted father, yet his love for his sisters and mum has him returning home to ensure the peace is kept. Booker has always been the quiet one of the boys, he doesn't drink or swear, and always put others before himself. Ian McBride grew up on a farm near the small rural town of Laramie. He was constantly subjected to cruelness when he came out as gay, but his family's love and support ensured he never lacked in self-confidence. He's a respected TA at the University, a coffee shop manager, and is always the first person to give up his time to help another. Ian was the person you wanted as a friend.
From the moment they met Ian had a huge crush on Booker, but knew nothing would ever happen because Booker was straight, right? Booker always felt a pull toward Ian, yet he couldn't understand why. I loved the way their friendship developed and evolved into something deeper. Ian gave Booker the self-confidence and love he didn't believe he would ever experience. He enabled Booker to come out of his shell, be the person he was always meant to be, while Booker gave Ian a friendship and love he never thought he would have. I adored their banter, the strength they gave each other, and the "quiet" sexy times they shared. What will happen when Booker's father learns of their relationship, will his bigotry tear them apart?
UNDENIABLE was another superb read from Andi Burns. Once again, all the boys and their partners are present with the humour, sarcasm. friendship, support, and love, that I have come to love from this group. I adored Ian's family, they were close knit and had awesome sense of humours, whereas Booker's family was broken, his sisters were amazing though.
It is sad to say goodbye to this series of a found family whose love and support of each other has been at its core.
As far as I can tell, through my research, I think this is this author's first endeavor into the MM genre, and for just coming out of the gate, it was a good start.
I loved both Ian and Booker. They had good chemistry and were sweet together, but this is an extremely slow burn, and I honestly wasn’t sure they’d ever get the message that they were into one another. The first kiss doesn’t even happen until the 55% mark.
As slow burn as the first half of the story was, I found after Ian and Booker act on their feelings for one another, the storyline felt rushed. All of a sudden they were boyfriends and in a serious relationship. I wish things had moved slower and we’d seen them explore their new relationship and feelings on-page.
I also felt that the sex scenes, not the scenes themselves so much, although yeah, they could have been slowed down and fleshed out a bit more, but my real issue is that Ian is an out and experienced gay, while Booker is struggling with his sexuality and is, in fact, a virgin. For me, where I found the author missed the mark was that the majority of the sex scenes are written from Ian’s POV. As a virgin, and this being Booker’s first time experience with sex, let alone sex with a man, it would have been so much better to get Booker’s POV of the sex. What he was feeling and experiencing.
I loved Booker and Ian’s friends and I absolutely adored Ian’s family. I loved Booker’s sister and his mom, but his dad, well, I want to throw his religious zealot ass off a very high cliff and watch him fall to a slow and agonizing death. Just wait, you’ll agree with me.
All in all this was an enjoyable read with a great cast of characters. Although I wanted Ian and Booker’s relationship slowed down and fleshed out some, it was still good and I’d recommend it. Oh, and if she writes Booker’s teammate, Ollie’s story and it’s MM, hint hint, nudge nudge, I’ll definitely pick it up.

ARC Review. Thank you Andi Burns and Literally Yours PR for the advanced reader copy of Undeniable. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
Undeniable is the fourth and final book in the Bainbridge University Series by Andi Burns. Although there are four books in the series, each book is a standalone novel that follows the stories of four college roommates and their love interests.
Ok, I’m just going to come out and say it. Booker is the most adorable/sweetest cinnamon roll to ever grace the pages of a book❤️. This poor man grew up with the most oppressive/closed minded dad, but still managed to become one of the kindest and most supportive men in the Bainbridge series. I absolutely loved reading his story and watching him muster the courage to go for the man of his dreams.
Ian was also an interesting character to get to know. He’s been featured briefly in the other three books in the series, but we finally get to see what makes him tick. I really liked that Ian was the TA in a Human Sexuality course. It provided a ton of opportunities throughout story for open discussions about the sexual experience and its variety of spectrums.
One of my favorite scenes in the novel was when Booker came out to Whit, Ty, and Knox. It was such a perfect moment for all involved. If you’re looking for a book that portrays positively embracing your sexuality and supportive friendships, this is it!
In the pages, you will find:
🏒 Healthy and complicated family dynamics 🏫 Discusses gender and sexual fluidity 🏒 Hockey ❤️ First Love 🏫 Coming out 🍩 Cinnamon roll MMC 🏒 Supportive friendships 🏫 Tons of possibilities for future spinoffs
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️/5
Exciting news! 🎉 Andi Burns announced that the Bainbridge Hockey Series is coming this fall! I can’t wait to see which characters the stories will follow! Fingers crossed Emersyn makes an appearance! I need to know more. 👀
This was my first book by this author and as I stick primarily to MM romance I feel I should admit I did not read the first 3 books in this series as they were MF. This one is listed as a standalone, but I do believe I would have benefited from reading the previous books as the side characters are very present. That was actually a part of the book that shined. The comraderie and bond between Booker, Knox, Ty, and Whit was a joy to read about. They are all such an eclectic bunch. They protect each other fiercely and their found family is one to be admired.
Then there's Ian. He's an extension of the family. A friend of their group and he's been hopelessly crushing on Booker since they were introduced years ago. I say hopelessly because as far as anyone knows, Booker is not only straight, but he also isn't one for hooking up or dating. Poor Booker, he hurt my heart at some points. What he was doing before Ian wasn't living. He was basically existing to please others, most of all his verbally abusive father. I couldn't wait until he put that man in his place.
The romance portion of the book was sweet, but I did feel like something was missing. The steam was hot, however the chemistry out of the bedroom needed a bit more build up I think. This totally could be a case of it's not the book, it's me here. I'm not a huge fan of martyr breakups, especially when it's obvious that said breakup isn't going to magically fix anything. The ending was cute. I was really happy with how the family situations played out even though I felt it was quite the 180. I Loved that the epilogue showed us the MCs farther into the future. It's my favorite because I enjoy seeing MCs still going strong years later and this epilogue wrapped up Ian and Booker in a sweet little bow.
The final book in The Bainbridge Series - talk about drama!
I read other reviews and people have said they thought it was missing something, focus somehow and I get where they're coming from but I disagree. Although this is about Booker and Ian, it's also focused on Bookers upbringing. He's been rated in a staunch Christian household - although it seems more of a cult than Christianity especially with his dad. That man is a straight-up bully, he belittles his kids, he isolates them, controls them and basically puts the fear in them. So yes, this concentrates on that aspect for the first half -60% of the book and I'm not going to lie... It was hard to read sometimes. It's basically abuse the way Ian and his sister's where raised and my heart hurt for them.
Then we have Ian who has an amazing family, they're the kind that everyone wishes for, but that doesn't mean he didn't suffer - his family may be brilliant but the folk from his hometown weren't. Thankfully he had support.
When Booker finally admits he's attracted to Ian, it's all go. They gel so well, his friend-family are awesome but then it all goes to pot when Bookers dad finds out....
Then comes the part of standing up for yourself and it made me smile, everyone deserves a happy ending - that doesn't mean it's easy to get it!!!
All in all, I enjoyed it. I loved catching up with the rest of the guys and I highly recommend you read their books first.
I'm excited for what comes next and I'll admit, I'm hoping Bookers sisters are involved!!!
*I voluntarily received an arc and this is my honest review 4stars
I really did like this one, but for some reason I found I didn't love it as much as the first three in this series? I'm not entirely sure what it was, but there was something lacking in this book that the other three had .. almost like a focus? Don't get me wrong, I truly did like this one a lot and I finished it pretty quickly and was reading it during every spare moment of down time, but yeah, something was definitely missing. Maybe how underwhelming the resolution with Booker's family felt? That could be it? And it did feel a bit jumbled at times, so I don't think that totally helped.
I loved Ian, that self-sacrificing dumbass, and I ADORE Booker. Like, I truly adore him so much and it was so nice seeing him come into his own and actually find his own identity throughout this story with Ian's help. He was always a big of an enigma throughout the first few stories and I really did love getting to know him better. The love story was a bit insta-lovey? But I still enjoyed it a lot, and getting to spend time with the entire group was fun, per usual. Whit's t-shirts and cricut made an appearance, as expected, and I'm truly going to miss this entire group. UGH we've come so far since we first met Ty and Phoebe.
Anyway, I liked this story, it wasn't my favorite but it was absolutely enjoyable, and I truly can't wait to see what's next for Andi Burns.

Undeniable is the final book in the Bainbridge University series and what a way to end the series.
Throughout the series I have been intrigued by the almost elusive Booker. He was around all the time but it was almost as if we got very few glimpses into him.
Booker grew up with an overbearing father who oppresses his family in every way. It is always his way or the highway and he always has the last word. This made Booker a peacekeeper and a rule follower. He never colours outside the lines, he never pushes the boundaries and he falls in line with whatever his dad decides even if it goes completely against his own wants and needs.
Booker’s outlook on his life start changing after being enrolled in a Psych of Human Sexuality class. This class opens Booker’s eyes to who he really is and he helps admit some truths about himself.
Ian was the perfect person for Booker to come out to. He has been out since he was in school and had had a loving family supporting him through being bullied in this small hometown.
My heart broke for Booker growing up with a father who doesn’t love him for who he is and for how long he wasn’t able to be his true authentic self. On the upside, I loved how Booker’s boys, Ty, Whit and Knox, just accepted him unconditionally without even batting an eyelid. That is how families should love.
This book was such a good read and I would definitely recommend it.

I started my journey with this friend’s group backwards. I read Scoring Chance, where these amazing guys were lovable side characters. So as I’ve worked my way backwards through their journeys - I have been waiting so impatiently to get to Booker and Ian’s book! And not surprising at all that they totally stole my heart!
Booker has watched each of his best friend’s fall head over heels in love, but has never felt love or desire. He has kept his focus in his hockey career and unhappily following his father’s orders. Until Ian.
Ian, manager of the beloved coffee shop and psych TA, has made himself a part of Booker’s friend group. Their friendship grows and Ian becomes Booker’s safe space. While Ian has been openly gay his whole life, Booker finds himself feeling attraction and desire for the first time in his life - and to a man, which his dad has forbade.
Watching Booker find true happiness for the first time in his life and how fluidly Ian and him fit together is the best, but with the toxicity with Booker’s father demands, there are choices to make.
I loved this series as much as I knew it would and I’m so excited for more spin-offs from these characters! They’re quick and easy reads with so much heart and fun!
I was first introduced to the Bainbridge boys in Uninhibited, and I knew right then I was going to need more.
Booker and Ian's story was downright sweet. I can barely decide who I love more. (Booker may have the teensiest edge.) They had an interesting dynamic, and they really worked well together.
The pacing was a little off for me when it came to Ian and Booker hiding their feelings to suddenly confessing their attraction and declaring boyfriend status. It just felt a bit too abrupt to me. I was looking for something more to give them that extra connection.
However, I could NOT get over the antics of the secondary characters. Obviously, the boys were a complete riot, and I absolutely need to read Whit's book again. However, Booker's sisters and Ian's family were also pure entertainment. I laughed so many times throughout this book.
I need a story for Luke, Fallon, Emersyn, Mel, and Ollie, and Andi might as well throw in a couple more hockey boys as well. While I wait, I'll have to go back and read Ty's and Knox's stories and then probably re-read Uninhibited and Undeniable, too.

I received a copy of this book from the publisher/author to review for Stephanie's Book Reports.
Booker is a guy who follows the rules. Weather he is in school, at church, on the ice and for sure at home. He is following the rules always. However he is hiding things and the way he thinks he can keep anyone from discovering what he is hiding is again, following the rules. No matter how good he is at this, Ian is the one person who always sees the truth. Booker feels like Ian understands everything that is flying around in his head and his heart better than he knows what is going on himself. But he can't risk him really seeing who he is and what he wants. However he can't seem to get away from him since they have the same friend group and they all seem to be coupled up. He is also the TA in his Human Sexuality class. Booker has ever intention of dropping the class because of this. But more than anything he needs to stop crushing on Ian McBride. I liked this story but at times I was a little confused and had a little bit of a hard time connecting with the story itself. I like Ian and Booker though. I just wish whatever it was I couldn't connect with wasn't there and this would have been a five star read for me.
The story of Booker and Ian is definitely I would say on the cusp of a slow burn, which isn’t a bad thing as I do prefer a build up and anticipation of that ‘moment’ it happens.
This story is drenched in complexity, especially with Booker and is very detailed about his journey and how his family have shaped his life. There are a lot of characters in this story which does build a very realistic world of friends and family groups, who all have something to add to the story.
You certainly get the angst from certain ‘bigoted’ characters in this story which do make you want to hurl your kindle across the room, then on the other extreme you get the love and acceptance of others which makes you realise that love does completely block out the nastiness when you surround yourself in it. It’s a story full of message to the readers of acceptance and free love.
Ian and Booker’s story is, as I’ve already said, more complex than angsty but there is an incredible amount of sweetness with them and an almost childlike shyness.
On a side note, I did like Whit a lot, he is the kind of friend we all need. Everyone needs that quirkiness in their life!
I was never happy to get a story, but yet sad because this is the end of an amazing series by Author Andi Burns.
Booker Zabeck has always lived by his father’s hand, that was until he discovered what the words “Lose yourself” truly meant. For the first time in his life he is taking control. I can’t believe finally we are able to learn about Booker. This hero has intrigued me from book one in the Bainbridge University Series.
Ian McBride TA extraordinaire, Ian loves the path he is on. Leaving home Ian hopes to have saved his family any more hurt with him being gay. I could not help but be overly happy to see Ian in his own book. This man deserves his own HEA.
Ms. Burns thank you for the beginning of Ian and Booker’s stories, it helped me to connect with their story. These two men are amazing. I felt so deeply reading their story, as a mother of a bi sexual child I know some of the challenges they face. Undeniable this title fits the plot to a “T”, from the first chapter’s you can feel the pull between Booker and Ian. There are some moments of tears, happiness, understanding and some sexy-times. I felt them all as I read Undeniable.
Undeniable is book 4 in the Bainbridge University Series. It can be read as a standalone but best enjoyed in order. This particular book is an m/m romance whereas the previous 3 are m/f. It’s a bit of a slow burn but it works very well for this particular story. Booker has not had an easy home life and with a dad that is constantly preaching that he shouldn’t have anything to do with sex, temptations, etc etc…. This poor guy. He’s 21 years old and never had any freedom. It’s actually quite sad and emotional to read but I also know that unfortunately this is very true to how some people are raised and made to believe. Booker is an absolute sweetheart and cares fiercely and is always trying to make sure his sisters are ok. He doesn’t want to let anyone down. Ian is an absolute gem too. Always wanting and needing help everyone. His a loyal friend, brother & son. This is such an emotional read and involves a lot of religious beliefs, strict parents and more. I would highly recommend reading. It takes time to get into any romance but you won’t be disappointed and it was absolutely necessary for this story. Loved it. 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
I am sad to see this series come to an end, but it was a joy to read Booker and Ian's story. This is an MM hockey/sports college romance. It is a bit of a slow burn with wonderful characters. Booker is a hot hockey player and Ian is a teacher's assistant who is a bit on the nerdy side. Although Booker is a hot hockey player, he is kind of reserved, and naive, and has lived a sheltered life. Ian is friendly, outgoing, and well-liked. He knows what he likes but he hasn't been lucky in love. Booker has very little experience with relationships, having only briefly dated one girl. The more interactions Ian and Booker have, the more the attraction burns between them. But it won't be that easy because Ian is the TA in Booker's class and he thinks that would be unethical, and Booker is too shy and scared to make a move. Will they or won't they? You'll have to read to find out!
Overall, this was a sweet and sexy romance with family drama and heartfelt emotions. I loved the "found family" feeling and the way the friends support each other. This was a short read with a HEA. I can't wait to see what comes next from this talented author.
A moving M/M story that takes you on a journey of discovery, as you follow students Ian who has always known who he was and promising Hockey star Booker who has always struggled to understand who he really is.
Ian is from a farming family, they are just over the top fun, but Ian knew the farming life was not for him, going to college was his goal, he has always been gay and his whole family support him, but for ages, he has had a massive crush on Booker, they are all in the same friendship group but Ian believes that Booker is straight. Booker is from a deeply religious family, whose father rules with an iron fist and has already dedicated that he will not allow Booker to enter the pros, but deep inside, something is starting to awaken, and it is always when he is around Ian, the comfort and calm, the gentle hand on the arm all make him feel something he has never felt before.
Andi Burns has delivered a rather inspiring story and it doesn't hurt that the chemistry between Ian and Booker is of the charts
Booker is the alt-captain for the hockey team at Bainbridge University. He grew up in a home that was extremely conservative and you followed church teachings completely.
Ian is a psychology major who manages the university coffee shop Drip and is a TA. He has been openly gay since 8th grade.
Booker takes Psych of Human Sexuality. Because of how he was brought up Booker is still a virgin and has never had any interest in sex or sexual things. The closest he has come is considering his friend Ian as a good looking guy. Psych of Human Sexuality is a class where Ian is a TA.
Booker slowly starts to realize he doesn’t have sexual attraction to others and that he is gay. Ian and Booker admit they want each other. They spend Spring Break together and Booker realizes he has to come out to his friends and his parents. The only one not accepting his Bookers father who causes trouble.
Ian and Booker are eventually able to work through everything and get their happily ever after.
