You don’t date the Coach’s daughter. It’s the first thing you learn in Hockey 101. Except whoever made that rule had never met Nora Campbell. She came into my life like the blondest ray of sunshine, and I thought all my dreams had come true. Then I found out who she was. For two excruciating years I’ve crushed on her from afar, keeping my distance while she’s been working her magic rehabbing my injured teammates. For two years I’ve been concentrating on my game; honing my skills, my speed and my strength to become the best defenceman in the league. It all pays off the day I’m made Captain. Unfortunately for me, it’s the same day an injury forces me to seek help from the one person who definitely shouldn’t be putting their hands on me, and the only person I want. The more time we spend together, the harder it becomes to resist her. And the harder it becomes to remember the one rule I’m supposed to follow above all else. Because it’s the one rule that was made to be broken.
Lulu started writing by accident, and somehow found herself stuck in a fictional world of ice hockey, baseball and billionaires. A world she has no plans to leave. She's the creator of The New York Players Series, The Tuesday Club Series, and The New York Lions - the worst team in the M.L.B.
More recently she's ventured across the Atlantic to where her latest novel is set - the beautiful cities of Oxford and Cambridge, and the annual rowing showdown on the River Thames.
She's a big fan of strong heroines, because those fierce alphas need someone to keep them in check. You'll find her navigating her way through Romance Land one HEA at a time, and trying to figure out the latest social media platform she needs to post to.
He Falls First Hockey Romance Coach’s Daughter / Forbidden Vibes Dirty Talking Hero Found Family No 3rd Act Breakup Dual POV Open Door - Moderate
Huck, a professional hockey player for the New York Rangers, was immediately smitten with Nora the first time he laid eyes on her two years ago. They planned a date until Huck realized who she was. Not only is she the coach’s forbidden daughter, but she’s one of the team’s new physical therapists. He’s fairly successful at keeping his distance with the hope that it will keep his crush at bay. But a series of close encounters brings old feelings back to the forefront, not just for Huck but Nora, too.
Let me tell you, It was SO GOOD to be back in with The New York Players again. Huck is the FIFTH book in this series & while I definitely think you should start with book one (the men are too good to not go in order) you could get away with this one as a standalone. With some time passing between the last book & now, Huck feels like the start of a new generation of men with cameos & mentions of “players” of the past.
Lulu is the fluffing QUEEN of men written by women & she’s back at it with Huck. She gives you the best of both worlds: you get the cinnamon roll quietly pining for his long term crush to the determined & possessive alpha who realizes it’s worth it to take a chance.
Not only does Lulu write fantastic fictional men, she writes some of the BEST found family / friend groups I know. In Huck, we get a hilarious new hockey-bro group that includes a very wealthy, older divorcée. It’s the mix of heart & humor I look for in my best friend /secondary characters. I simply can’t wait to see Brogan & Carter to get their HEA’s too.
I ATE THIS UP! Huck and Nora are freaking everything. This is a coaches daughter hockey romance that is filled with so many moments that will make you swoon! Huck has just been appointed to be the new caption of the New York Rangers and his coach preaches how he has to be the example to all the rookies and keep it professional. The problem is, Huck has had the hots for the coaches daughter, who is a physical therapist for the team, ever since he laid eyes on her. The question is, is Nora worth giving up his spot at the club? Huck is literally so freaking sweet and such a softie I love him so much! Nora is such a badass and I love how both Huck and Nora have so much in common, they are literally soulmates. I laughed so many times reading this book because the side characters were so fun, and the main characters made my heart melt so many times. This book was so fun and cute I loved it, the spice was there, the drama, and of course the love. Order this book right now people!
Favorite Quote: “Any day of the week, I choose her.”
Special thanks to Valentine PR and the author for giving me an ARC of this book in exchange for an honest review.
‘Huck Sands was the perfect combination of salty and sweet. Intense and calming. And it was hot.’
If you’ve read and loved the previous New York Players books, I guarantee you’ll love this one too. Jasper Jacobs was the Rangers previous swoony captain, and now Huck Sands is following firmly in his footsteps.
The books in this series are my ultimate comfort reads, and Huck has definitely joined them. Reading this story is like being wrapped in a big hug by the Luluverse that you won’t ever want to leave.
Huck and Nora have been crushing on each other since they first met, but he’s just been made captain, and she’s the coach’s daughter, who also happens to work part time for the Rangers. Her Dad has warned everyone she’s off limits, and he means it. Huck’s initial awkwardness around her is both funny and sweet, and his friends Brogan and Carter are hilarious.
I loved them both, and loved their story. It’s low angst, there’s some lovely little appearances from some of our past favourites, and you’ll have a smile on your face the whole way through.
‘Huck the Hockey Hottie’ you’re going to be all over those top hockey book boyfriend lists very soon.
Book 5 in the New York Player series and it’s been well worth the wait.
Huck first met Nora in book 4 ( Felix ) Nora was helping Felix after his injury but poor Huck was told in no certain term she was off limit as she was Coach is daughter.
Roll on 2 years and we get to see if these two get together, Lulu again has written these two superbly and we get a quick mention of our other New York players :).
The friendship that Huck,Carter and Brogan have is like reading what the friendship was between Jasper,Cooper, Drew and Felix but that is what great team is like a family.
I smiled all the way through this apart from when coach had a moment .
all in all Lulu you have written a another fabulous book 5⭐️
New recent hockey romance fave right here!! This was such a fun and cute read.
Recommend this one if you like/ are looking for: 🏒 Mutual pining/ unrequited love 🏒 Forbidden romance/ coach’s daughter 🏒 Sweet baby terrorizing kittens 🏒 Hockey romance! 🏒 She’s the team physical therapist dynamic
I don’t know if there’s a name for this trope, but give me a super hot and confident athlete when it comes to his sport, but a bumbling dork when it comes to the girl he loves any day!! Huck made my heart melt! 🥰
These two had been mutually pining for each other for years when the story starts, to the point that Huck became nervous, clumsy, and would trip over his words whenever he was around her. 🤗
And I was so here for it! 🙋🏻♀️
This was my first read by this author, so I hadn’t read any of the previous books in the series, but was able to follow along and enjoy the story just fine.
And oh my gosh, the love story between Coach Campbell and Abby?! Please tell me we are going to get a bonus scene of their first night together. I loved them almost as much as I loved Huck and Nora!
I’ve got a copy of The Third Baseman, also by this author, and cannot wait to read it soon.
📖: Would recommend this author to fans of Elle Kennedy and Kristen Callihan.
I really didn't think I'd love a book more than Drew's, but here we are! I knew this was a winner from page one 😍 Huck and Nora were funny and sweet, and they balanced each other so perfectly 🥰 Huck was amazing 👏 always putting Nora's feelings and wellbeing before anything else 🥰 I swooned so hard with this man 🥰 Nora was fierce and smart, and I love that she didn't just wait and let others fix her problems, but was there doing the dirty work herself like a boss! The side characters were my favorite thing!!! Lulu has spoiled me (us) with amazing side characters/friendships and found family over the years that I feel so blessed 🙌 Carter, Bro, Jess, and especially Abby own my heart. The plot was great. I love what Lulu did with the forbidden relationship trope (and that she didn't make it cliche!!!) 🤗 I loved how everything was solved ❤️ that ending was everything! Now my only problem is that I'll have to wait for more of my favorite NYC boys, and I don't want to 😅 This book made me happy. Made me smile so hard my face hurts, but I love it. Read this series, i promise you won't be disappointed 👏
Thank you so much to Lulu Moore and Valentine PR team for the chance to read this book in exchange for an honest review.
The New York Players is one of my favorite series and I was so happy to go back to this world with Huck.
Huck and Nora have been pining for each other for over two years after originally meeting at a party. They set up a date that Huck canceled with no explanation after he found out that Nora was the coach’s daughter.
They ignore each other until circumstances force them back into each other’s orbit. Huck can no longer hold himself back and he maneuvers himself into Nora’s life in the most adorable way.
Watching these two fall for each other was one of my favorite things. Huck is a touch possessive and has a really hard time keeping the relationship a secret. Nora doesn’t think it’s a big deal, but respects Huck’s need to take his role as Captain seriously.
Secrets never stay that way for long, but Huck handles the fall out in the best way possible. If I wasn’t already head over heels in love with him, this would have sealed the deal. *SWOON
The OGs have retired so we are getting the next generation of NY Players in this book. Jasper has returned as an assistant coach and the cameos will make Lulu’s fans extremely happy while the new guys start a whole separate legion of groupies. The bromance between Huck, Brogan and Carter is EPIC. I’m so excited for more.
*This is book five in the series, but it can absolutely be read as a standalone. You don’t need to read the first four books, but you should because they’re AMAZING!
Thank you, Lulu, for letting me get my grabby hands on this one early! My squishy face was in full effect the entire time.
I had the honor of Beta reading Huck last month and let me tell you, he's freakin swoony yall! I hope you are ready for the PERFECTION that is Huck Sands.
Huck and Nora were honestly one of my favorite fictional couples. They're right up there with Jupiter and Marnie. And we all know how much I love those two! Huck met Nora before they knew who each other was and they were all set for a date when reality crept in like the bitch that she is. When Huck realizes that Nora is the coaches daughter, he knows he can't have her. So, what could have been great turns into nothing at all.
Fast forward two years later and Huck is just done. He wants Nora and decides to go for it. They way these two fell for each other was just really beautiful to watch. When the time came for the third act breakup, I basically held my heart in my hand and watched at Huck seamlessly handled the entire situation. WHAT third act break up?! I'm just in love with them.
If you love a good hockey romance with amazing plot, great tension, amazing spice and a super hot and loveable MMC, then you need to immediately stop what you're doing and go get Huck. You can thank me later!
Have I mentioned I love everything @lulumoorebooks ? If not, well I do and this New York Players series just keeps getting better! I loved Huck in Felix’s book and was so excited to see what would come of him and Nora once he realized she was his coach’s daughter.
Huck is the newly appointed team captain who has been crushing on Nora, the new acupuncturist/physical therapist for the Rangers. Oh and the coach’s daughter, so completely off limits! However Huck saw her before he knew that and it was love at first sight, but he decided the best course of action would be to pretend she doesn’t exist until he is forced to help her move into her new apartment at coach’s order and he can’t ignore her any longer.
Nora has also been harboring a crush on Huck since she first met him but when he started ignoring her she figured it would never be anything. Then Huck starts doing “boyfriend” things in the words of his teammates Brogan and Carter. Once he decided he needed Nora in his life everything changed. They were adorable and so supportive of each other. I loved how they put each other first.
I’m more of dog person myself, but Mayhem and Mischief sounded like adorable kittens I wouldn’t mind be gifted! I truly enjoyed the bromance of Huck, Carter and Brogan and I truly hope we get Brogan’s story next. I am not ready to say goodbye to this team! Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 🔥: “Now ride my hand and take what you need”
LULU MOORE - HUCK ✨️ ARC Review - Releases 28th June
I was so excited to read Hucks' story when you could see Lulu setting this up in previous stories, the awkwardness between Huck and Nora you could just see where this was heading!
Coach has given all his players one rule. There will be no dating his daughter Nora and as the teams captain, Huck is expected to set an example and ensure this rule is followed. The only problem is he's been in love with her from the moment he set eyes on her. 😂
Ohhh, the awkwardness at the start of this story was hilarious to watch as Huck tries to hide his feelings and navigate this relationship now Nora has come to work for the team. He actively tries to avoid her and doesn't really know how to act or behave in her presence, which causes some very amusing first scenes. Like with any Lulu book, there's lots of banter between the boys, and it was lovely seeing them interact with Nora & Abby.
I loved the cameos from the New York Players series we've all grown to love. Jasper is great in his new found coaching role. Drew and Felix will always have my heart so seeing these two come back for Halloween and watch their banter with the new boys felt like coming home.
Huck really reminded me a mix of Jasper / Drew so if these were your favourites you're going to love this one! He's equal parts sweet and swoony with some spice thrown in! 💕
I don't want to say too much & give anything away but make sure to add this onto your TBRs ready for release day ✨️
This new to me author just stole my hockey heart! Huck will have you swooning, and Nora will win your heart! 5 hot hockey stars for this one! Huck has pined after Nora for a while now, when he first met her, he didn't know she was the coaches daughter, but now that he knows that, he's keeping his distance. Nora doesn't understand what happened with Huck, they seemed to hit it off, then he went cold. Now he can barely look at her. When he helps her move into her new place, they hit it off again, and he explains the cardinal rule, you just don't date the coaches daughter! Read along and enjoy their story, I didn't want to put this one down, I need to go back and read the others in this series! Don't miss out on this great hockey romance story, grab it asap!
What a great return to the New York Players with book 5 - Huck.
Huck first laid eyes on Nora back in Felix’s book and now he’s decided (with help) that it’s time to jump off the cliff and make his move!
Nora is the teams Coaches daughter and part of the PT team so that can only mean one thing “untouchable”
Huck is so lovable and awkward but hot and makes for him being a fantastic MMC. Add him into his group with Brogan and Carter and we have the next group of players coming through who hopefully all get a story!
Low angst and lots of laugh out loud moments! All what we love from Lulu Moore books!
I cannot recommend this book enough the only downside is I read it to fast. Every time I read a Lulu Moore book I think I love this man the most (until the next one comes along)
This book has everything you could want. Huck is a dream come true. He’s hot, sweet and protective. I loved the banter between Huck, Carter and Brogan and I cannot wait to read their books too.
I loved both Huck and Nora separately and together they are electric.
Sooooooooooo many characters. Like so fucking many. And this whole story was just dumb tbh. Imagine your dad tryna tell you who you can and can’t date at 29 years old? Get out
When Lulu Moore said that we would love Huck more than Drew she was not kidding and that I totally loved Drew my baby but Huck oh my God 🥰
I totally loved the story of these two, I already knew what was going to happen after reading Felix's book and being able to know the whole story (after what happens) I loved it. Huck made me fall in love with him, I thought he was a playboy, but no, he's a great boy with a heart like a teddy bear and I just want to hug him, and our Nora is one of those main characters that will stay with you forever.
From Huck running away from Nora to give him two of the cutest kittens that can exist, I can say that this book is one of the best I have read this year, all the tension, how he goes for what he wants, the whole relationship between these two made me throw up rainbows AND THE ENDING? MY GOD HOW I CRIED WITH HAPPINESS!!!!!
You have to read this whole series (and all of Lulu's books) because it's hands down one of the best hockey series I've ever read 🫶🏻
Thanks to Lulu Moore & Valentine PR for the arc in exchange for my honest review 📚!!
________________________________
I ate this book UP 👏🏼 Finished it within just a few hours. Lulu was speaking to my little reader soul when she wrote this with some of my favorite tropes.
Huck is book #5 in the New York Players series. Huck Sands is a defenseman & newest captain for the New York Rangers. His biggest secret? He’s had a major crush on Nora Campbell, his coach’s daughter, for years. But her dad made it more than clear that she’s completely off-limits to the team. So when his first task as captain is to help Nora move into her new home, Huck finds it harder & harder to stay away from her. That is until he decides maybe he can have his career & his dream girl, so long as they can keep their relationship a secret…
Oh how I loved Huck. He was totally gone for Nora since the moment he laid eyes on her & when they finally made it official, it was so cute to see how possessive & protective he was of her. I love how Nora was so confident & stood her ground. She never backed down from an argument & always went after what she wanted.
I truly loved all the characters! I was laughing throughout this entire book at the banter between Huck, Brogan, & Carter. I’m a sucker for a series with a good friend group! & this book just made me all the more excited to continue the series!
Huck is definitely a golden retriever! Nora and Huck both have been harboring secret crushes on one another for almost two years so now that they are in each other's orbit, there are some really funny awkward moments at first like when she is moving. The kittens were the absolute perfect touch for the start of their relationship. Who knew that the captain was such a softy and was so awkward too HAHA.
Once the cat is out of the bag that they like each other, their relationship ramps up super quick and they both fall hard. These two just click right away and it feels like they’ve known one another forever. Even as a reader, I caught myself and had to remind myself they’d only been together for a short time. I think I just loved how there wasn’t a third act breakup and they were a team throughout the whole story and all the ups and downs.
The bromance between Huck, Brogan and Carter is incredible. They are all such goofs and act like brothers with their ones and jabs. Huck’s relationship with Abby is also so special in this book. After they met at the player auction, the guys really developed such a strong bond with her and I loved seeing them all interact with her too. I love how they are referred to as her kids. It gives me all the feels and a good amount of laughs too cause the boys are absolutely ridiculous with her. It was precious and endearing. I enjoyed watching Nora fit so well with Huck, the guys and Abby too.
It was so nice to see some NY Ranger favorites and get to attend the epic annual Halloween bash where something always happens. I really hope we get to see some extended epilogues in the future cause I love seeing all the guys several years after their books.
Move over Cooper Marks....... Huck Sands is my new favourite New York Rangers player 🥰
Lulu Moore has done it again with this book. I just can't get enough of the worlds she creates. The characters are all so different and amazing but all the men turn out to be sweet cinnamon roll cuties when they meet the right woman and the women are strong and relatable and take no shit especially from their men!!
We first met Nora when she was introduced in Felix, and Huck was absolutely head over heels until he found out she was the coaches daughter!!
In the beginning of this book, we see them both struggle with their attraction, Huck, because Nora is so far off limits that she is practically on another planet and Nora because she thinks Huck ghosted her because he changed his mind about them going on a date.
Well, let me tell you, when these two get on the same page, the sparks fly. It is hot!! Huck is the sweetest, most caring man Nora is a lucky girl!
We get to know a range of different characters in this instalment of the New York Players, and I, for one, can't wait until their stories are told.
This book has it all secret dating, forced proximity, hot spice, hockey, and the most lovable kittens! What more could you ask for in a book!! It's a must read, honestly this one is not to be missed.
Whenever they’re the biggest playboy, it seems they fall the hardest. And that’s exactly what happened with sweet Huck. After meeting his dream girl, two years ago at Felix‘s party, his dreams were quickly crashed when he realized that she was the coach’s daughter. Everyone in sports knows you don’t date your teammate sister and you don’t date the coaches daughter. Well, everyone knows this except apparently the coach’s daughter… so when Huck ghosts Nora, she’s totally unsure why.
After really cleaning up his act, and keeping his head on straight, Huck is offered the captaincy! But it comes with another warning from coach, not to date his daughter. And that’s totally fine, until Huck to help Nora move. I absolutely adore awkward Huck. Spending hundreds of dollars on kittens and gear for the girl you’re crushing on is a prime “boyfriend-y” move.
Slowly but surely, the two can’t stand to be apart. But there’s one big hurdle left- telling coach/ Nora’s dad. Unfortunately, coach catches on before they’re able to tell him and shit. hits. the. fan. Obviously coach WAY blew things out of proportion, but it was great seeing Nora not back down.
And I loved that Huck and Nora were both far too stubborn for there to be a third act breakup. I love when the couple works together to try to find a solution. Even when Huck was talking about getting traded, he never kept it a secret from Nora.
Huck and Abby’s relationship is just the sweetest! And I love that he roped Brogan and Carter into hanging out there too. And I loved that Abby got her second chance at happily ever after. And it was so great to see some of the retired Players!
Lulu Moore is the Queen of Bromance! The whole book was amazing, Huck and Nora were great but what stole this book for me was the friendship between Huck, Brogan and Carter. Once again a fabulous read.
If Lulu Moore writes it — IMA READ IT!! I want to say this was my favorite in the series but if I say that about every book she writes for the rest of my life don’t come for me. Huck truly has it all & I cannot get enough
5🌟 3🌶️ Every time I think I have a favorite book out of this series Miss Lulu Moore shows me how wrong I am. Huck was the perfect combination of stubborn but sweet. The way he treats Nora had me running to add him to my book boyfriend list. I also really enjoyed seeing a glimpse into Coach’s life as he is a side character that is occasionally mentioned throughout the series. I really love the friendship the boys have, but in this book we see new friendships and a different view of other friendships. Huck, Carter and Brogan are so funny and adorable it really makes the book. Nora is a strong female character, much like the other FMCs in the series. I simply could not put this book down and I’m so thankful I had the opportunity to read it as an ARC.
I love the New York Players series, and Huck is no exception!
Huck is a total golden retriever, and we love that for him. He’s so sweet and thoughtful, but don’t be fooled, he has a dirty mouth and knows how to use it. 🥵
Nora was the perfect FMC. She’s sweet and shy at first, but we definitely see her come undone and get a little feisty. Both of our MCs have huge hearts and were perfect for each other.
One other thing I loved about this book were all the side characters. There was so much fun banter, and I was smiling the whole way through. We also got to see so many of the characters from other books. Gah I love interconnected stand alones so much for this reason. 😍
Hockey romance, you will always be the most famous trope (at least for me), especially if it's hockey captain pining for coach's daughter.
Reading Huck felt like taking a breath of fresh air. It was exactly what I wanted it to be, in the best possible ways. Huck and Nora were, I'm repetitive but it's true, so refreshing. They're sweet and fun and honestly so perfect for each other. I loved how their secret relationship was handled and how the author didn't make it cliché, but it felt original. I also loved the side characters because they gave the story depth and honestly they had me cracking up.
I'll also mention how much I love the way the 3rd act conflict was handled and how Huck really put Nora and their relationship first.
Honorable mention to Mischief and Mayhem because they totally stole the show 👀
*ARC kindly provided in exchange of an honest review
This was my very first Lulu Moore book. I really appreciated the fact that these books can be read as standalones for that reason. Huck was the perfect book boyfriend in my opinion. I loved Nora’s character as well. I really feel like I got to know each of the characters & could feel their connection in the book. This was a quick intriguing read & held my attention from the very beginning. This definitely will not be my last Lulu Moore book! • Hockey Romance • Coach’s daughter
THANK YOU SO MUCH TO LULU MOORE & VALENTINE PR FOR THE OPPORTUNITY TO READ THIS AS AN ARC!
Re-read 6/2024 - I still love him and I licked him first.
Hunky Huck, I love you so.
Another amazing book boyfriend from Lulu. This book has it all - no third act break-up, two mature adult main characters, fun and interesting side characters, hockey, dirty mouths, cats, and all the swoon.
Huck the Hottie Hockey Player will have you heated up in no time!
I absolutely loved reading about Huck and Nora. The Angst is chef's kiss perfect, the awkwardness between Nora and Huck will have you smiling so big that your cheeks won't hurt. This book is nothing but a bundle of pure sweetness mixed in with hot passion. You will laugh, fan yourself, smile so wide you'll look like the Joker and absolutely swoon.
The unwritten Rule and unsaid rule of never date the coach's daughter is one that Huck has tried to follow ever since he found out who Nora really was. You can tell it's been eating him up inside this whole time. The interactions between the two is comical but also makes your heart hurt. Nora is such an extraordinary character you can't help but fall in love with her. When the inevitable happens and Huck finally takes the chance and tells Nora how he truly feels it's an explosion of swooning, passion and every good feeling there is.
Hiding feelings isn't easy ever and it's especially difficult for someone like Huck when his Poker Face is absolutely horrible. It's comical to watch all of this play out and then it's heartbreaking. Because secrets like this don't stay secret for long. When the coach finds out Huck has a difficult decision to make.
Huck by Lulu Moore was an absolute blast to read. Lulu can make anyone swoon with her writing. Huck and Nora's story will grab you by the heart strings and not let go.
What we get: -Coach’s daughter x Team Captain -Forced proximity -Hockey romance -Secret + forbidden relationship -Tons of laughs, sweet & spicy moments
Before I get into the review I just need to commend Lulu for a minute - she never ceases to amaze me with her writing. I always know I’m going to be laughing, giggling, swooning and melting when I pick up one of her books. Not only that, she’s perfectly and meaningfully descriptive in each and every one of her books. It's the perfect amount of detail where I honestly feel like I’m watching a movie play in my head - it’s so effortless to picture what I’m reading. I say it every time I read one of Lulu’s books that I’m just completely captivated and it must be said with this now being the 5th book in the NY Players series….nothing is repetitive. Each book is so different but they’re all intertwined so well & I love past characters making cameos where it makes sense. Bravo Lulu!!
Now on to my review…
We get a glimpse of Huck & Nora in Felix’s book and this book picks up where Huck has worked on getting his act & reputation together, now having what it takes to become captain. With the captain title also comes the expectation he’s going to “set an example” for the team. This means following Coach Campbell’s not so indirect rules of his daughter Nora, the teams part time physical therapist, being off limits.
The only issue is when Huck keeps running into Nora and being forced to help her move, the crush he’s tried to push down for the past 2 years comes roaring back to life.
A few things I want to note: I absolutely loved Nora & Huck’s first few awkward encounters 😂 their relationship grew organically through common interests, a few acts of service some (Brogan & Carter) might classify as boyfriends material 🐈⬛, and of course wise words of wisdom from Abby. Let’s not forget about the relationship Huck, Brogan and Carter had with Abby - SO sweet.
I highly recommend this book & series (and Lulu as an author in general.) Even if you’re not into sports romance, I really think you’d enjoy!!
What’s the number #1 rule in hockey?? Don’t date the coaches daughter!
What is Huck going to do? He’s been ignoring the feelings he has for Nora for 2 years now. But, now he knows he wants more than just hockey. Why can’t he have love too? Hucks good friend Abby a newly divorcee, is trying to get out into the dating world, and Huck is trying to help her. But she’s wanting him to take his own advice also. Get out there and date Nora!
Nora Campbell works for the Ranger’s hockey team as the team’s physical therapist / acupuncturist. She is also coaches daughter!! Nora doesn’t know that her father put a rule on her with his hockey players - she doesn’t know she’s ‘off limits’. She has always liked Huck and now she can date him.
They try to hide the romance from Coach, but he soon finds out. What will happen with Huck and the team? Will he just be benched? The rest of the season? Will Nora stop working with her father and the team?
I did receive a free ARC copy of this book. I am freely leaving an honest review.
Firstly, thank you so much to Lulu Moore and the Valentine PR team for selecting me for the privilege of this ARC!
The only thing I can legitimately think after reading this book, is how have I not read a Lulu Moore book before?! Her writing is short and sweet in the best possible way, I wanted a delicious romance and that’s exactly what she delivered!
Nora was everything a main character should be! Small but feisty! I loved her growth and even the character arc that happened pre book (which was explain in present time). Also her relationship with Huck was just to die for! I just love a well written forbidden romance. Also no third act breakup and both the characters had liked Escher other forever, which was just soooo cute!
Now Huck. Huck, Huck, Huck. Could hockey players get any hotter? (Probably cause they always seem to), however Huck is definitely my new favourite! And the way he treats Nora like she is his absolute world is just to die for, also, he knows how to talk dirty 🥵 he had me begging for more…
I so can’t wait to go back and read the rest of the series! Also I NEED TO BUY THESE PAPERBACKS BECAUSE HAVE YOU SEEN THESE GORGEOUS COLOURFUL COVERS?! A good book and a gorgeous cover = a happy me!
