I friendzoned Hunter Lachlan because I thought he could never give me what I needed. After a decade of pushing him away, I don't recognize Las Vegas's new Don. Maybe my childhood best friend knew me better than I ever realized... And maybe, just maybe, he's the one man for whom I'll kneel.

What a perfect ending to Hunter + Rory's story. I absolutely love these two and seeing them finally get their HEA, after years and years apart, made me so happy. I loved that this book was mostly about their journey as a couple; deciding when to tell Rory's family and the world, figuring out how to exist when their worlds were on opposite coasts and still skirting around those three special words.
Don't get me wrong, we did get some action. Especially in the beginning when they go to rescue Stan. Probably my favorite bit of violence was Rory letting Mia know how things are going to go from now on. So bádáss.
The steam level felt a little less than The Consigliere, but I think it was just that it was less taböö to both Hunter + Rory, but also myself. We get a little sëx club scene, which was fantastic. We also get to see Hunter finally give up kisses for free (who was he kidding with that anyway?!). I loved learning about a few more Döm/súb toys too.
The epilogue made me wanna cry and laugh at the same time. It was so incredibly sweet. We get 3 different looks into the future and they were all so good. We also get a chapter from Stan's POV which gives us a glimpse into what his book(s) will be about and I can't wait.
“forever. that’s what i’m asking for. nothing less than always.”
after the cliffhanger in which the first half of this duet ended, i wasn't expecting this to pick up off the action packed momentum and turn it into one of the most comedic exchanges in these crossovers series (and one of my personal favorites), but that set the tone for the rest of this story; the comfort in this book was in the familiarity the new dynamics being established put in motion the puzzle pieces needed to get to the end goal - "filthy feck". the interactions between aurora and lodestar and how it later paralleled hunter and conor meeting spoke to the bigger picture serena has been geniusly webbing ever since the first book in this universe, but most of all, it reassured everyone that's been on this journey with her that she not only knows what she's doing, she's also perfecting her craft. no one could write these characters, these stories, like her. no one could make them justice like she does. at the very core, the essence of these books goes beyond mafia romance, this is family, in every sense of the word.
* i was sent an arc by valentine pr in exchange for a honest review
Such a great end to this duet! Hunter and Rory not only work well together they respect and love one another. This is what over time allows them to be comfortable and vulnerable with one another. Fantastic power couple. Hunter is so attune to her nuances he knows what she needs before she does. Lots of action between factions and family members. Time to weed out who to trust. Love how they make time to explore their D/s side. Check trigger warnings.Well written and such a joy to read! All the love!
*This is book 2 of the Revelation Duet and The Consigliere must be read first
This series just keeps getting better! I could not adore Hunter and Aurora more and this was the perfect conclusion to their story.
Aurora is such a strong FMC and is wicked smart and loyal to those she loves. Her character development in this duet was one of my favorites. Hunter and her are the perfect match and I was surprised at how I truly adored Hunter and their D/s relationship. Hunter is not your typical Don, but I found him so refreshing as a different kind of mafia Don.
If you haven't read any of the Valentini Family books yet, I highly recommend! Loved this duet!
Oh my sweet lord!!!! Hunter and Rory are just straight 🔥 I was curious as to how things were going to play out with this couple as they were from 2 different factions on opposite sides of the country and I was not disappointed at all!! I do believe that Hunter may have taken a top spot in my list because this man is just straight up everything!!
I really liked how Hunter and Rory were able to eat each other so well and how they were able to break down the those walls they both had together without any judgement. Rory is a badass female and I’m so glad that Hunter let her soar and didn’t try to take control. He treated her like his equal and partner professionally. Personally now that is another story and I absolutely loved there personal relationship. I was seeing hints throughout throughout the book but once I read the authors note I was like YES!!!
The spice is this book is on another level….. chefs kiss for 🌶. It was so well written and very true to fact!! I even had to go look up a few things lol
This universe just keeps getting better and better with each release and I love seeing other characters show up as well as hints for the next books!! Another great read from the fabulous Serena Akeroyd!
Wow is all I can say right now. This was the fantastic conclusion to Hunter and Rory’s story! This book picked up where the last one left off and it did not disappoint. Once I started I couldn’t put it down. Hunter and Rory are fire together. This book was about them working and coming together. I loved how they were together. You will not be disappointed in this duet! What are you waiting on…. I now want Custanzu’s book. That’s coming at some point right? But really really want Star and Conor’s book.
The Oracle by Serena Akeroyd QueenZany 5 Star Review
The Oracle by Serena Akeroyd is a deliciously sinful adventure, that is guaranteed to tantalize the mind-body, and soul of its reader! Holy hell after that last cliffhanger. I didn't know what to expect next. But this book takes the cake!! Serena Akeroyd just encapsulates you in every aspect of this story. Just leaving you in a marvelous glow of sheer marvel!!
This was so good, it picks up right after the Consigliere and has so much action and the momentum just continues. I loved Hunter and Aurora I didn't want to stop reading. They had such a great story and of course the ending was amazing and I'm left wanting more.
I can’t get enough Aurora and Hunter. I devoured the first book in record time because I’ve been waiting for Rory’s story since The Don and it was everything I expected. That’s a wonderful thing but there was also a cliffhanger and it was absolutely brutal. Suffice to say the wait was long and drawn out because I have no patience. But that doesn’t matter anymore because their story is so worth the wait.
Aurora may be the queen of badass heroines, which is no small feat. I just love everything about her: the snark, the self-assurance, the stone exterior, the way she can do a controlled stop to incapacitate assassins. One of the things I like best about her is how she drops the façade completely for Hunter. She lets him in, lets him see her, gives him her all of weaknesses that she works so hard to hide from the world. He’s so good for her in every way. She carried a heavy load as Luciu’s consigliere just for being a woman but having him at her side changes everything. I love everything about her. Even the cover of this book comes through because the gorgeous model is exactly how I'd pictured Aurora when we first met her in Lucui and Jen's story.
Hunter is a dream in every way. He’s a ruthless killer who shows his enemies no mercy but he’s so gentle and sweet with her, it melts your heart. One of my favorite Hunter scenes involves the broken bed frame and it’s not at all what you’re expecting. I didn’t think any Don would ever surpass Bennett Mazzone on my book boyfriend list, but it’s a tie between Ben and Hunter Lachlan. The whole BDSM thing is usually a huge bore for me, but all the rules are out the window when it comes to Hunter. He’s just that good. The final chapters are a window into their future in more ways than one, which is my favorite ending. This is one of my favorite series of the year and I can’t recommend it enough.
Well again this author has blown me away. This book was incredible. It had me gripped from the very first page I read it all in one go , i couldn't put it down. So many twists and revelations that we've come to love from this author in this spectacular universe. Hunter and Aurora's chemistry is off the charts, it's so HOT. They're the perfect power couple and made for eachother. Everyone needs an Hunter in their lives , he is so yummy. Aurora is so independent and strong but knows she will always have Hunter by her side no matter what. Like all the other books in this universe , this book was action packed with plenty of steam. It's got me even more excited for future books in this universe , i think i could read about this universe forever. I loved seeing more of the characters we have come to love in this universe. This is why i love reading this author's writing she makes me fall deeper for all these characters everytime a new book comes out. It's a phenomenal read that i didn't want to end. Amazing five star read that I wish i could give more.
this picks up right where the consigliere ends and it did not disappoint. the way all of these characters are connected and how we’ve had so many of their POVs already makes it so special imo because we have an insight into how a lot of them think already. like jen & rory don’t have the best relationship and as a reader it’s so great to know the povs of both and see both sides. idk but i just love that a lot about this universe.
i love seeing hunter and rorys relationship grow and how they explore their k!ñk$ together. plus hunters mouth>>>>>>
the epilogue made me so excited for the future gen and also i just loved seeing them both as parents. so good!
I’m giving this a very generous three stars. I can’t say I am disappointed as I had no expectations for this after not loving the first one. This was boring and tbh pointless. I know Serena’s loyal fans will give this five stars but I have to be honest and say I didn’t enjoy this. It sucks because Serena is a really nice person and I have loved some of her books. I have been disappointed by every one of her releases this year. Like I said in my first review every book is blending into the same thing and it’s like deja vu. This book felt the same to me as Rex, Rachel and Filthy King. The characters feel the same to me as does the dialogue. The universe is getting so big now but the timeline in this book confused me. We already knew Jen had a second child from Filthy King but in this she was still pregnant with her first one. So the reading order means that we are still behind on some events in newer books which means we read about the same events over and over again. Rex and Rachel were not a necessary part of this book and that felt forced to make the books tie into each other. Aurora and Hunter bore me, I really don’t care about their relationship, there was a lot of sex in this but I didn’t care for it. Also the authors note said they are in a DD/LG relationship but without the daddy terms which annoys me. Either do it properly with all the titles or don’t bother. The books I’m looking forward to won’t be releasing for a while and it’s annoying that the books I want and others want get dragged out for ages. We have been waiting for Filthy Feck for ages. Maxim’s book might not release until 2024 or later. I’d rather have had Aspen and Misha’s book, North’s and Cade’s book instead of this. I think Stan will get a duet too and that already looks so boring. Stan also makes the drug red which has ended up killing women so why would I want a story from him. There was also mentions of the second generation which I don’t want and that doesn’t look promising. Instead of a second generation, Serena needs to focus on these books. I really think she needs to take a break and focus on the quality of the books rather than quantity because she churns out books but like I said they all feel the same. Plus as this universe gets bigger it’s harder to draw in more readers. Ultimately I just don’t believe in the story, and I hated how there was a contract for how many kids Aurora should have. Aurora is meant to be a strong heroine and a ball buster but these heroines just annoy me. They are not strong just annoying. This was also way too similar to Rex and Rachel, where Aurora had pushed Hunter away for years just like Rachel did to Rex. I much prefer heroines like Inessa, Camille and Aoife. They are more relatable and believable. The Sicilian’s don’t have the banter that the Irish do either so there is nothing to root for.
Joe Arden as Hunter and CJ Bloom as Aurora brought such a depth of feeling to the characters in The Oracle. I loved this book and listening to it made me feel that I was living in the story which flowed seamlessly from the previous 🎧 book. Such an enjoyable thrilling listen, and the steamy scenes were so hot, Dom Hunter! 🔥🔥 Such a perfect conclusion to this duet.

What a wondrous web Ms Akeroyd continues to weave, I am entrapped!
After being left tottering on the cliff at the end of The Consigliere, I was more than ready to dive in. I needed answers, and boy did I get them from the very start!!
I loved how Hunter and Aurora's relationship developed throughout the story. They both understood and complemented each other, recognising what they both needed in that moment.
Aurora is such a strong, intelligent, resilient woman who demands respect. Hunter recognises this and delivers in spades. Hunter assumes his new role as Don of the Camorra in his own inimitable way... both gung-ho and philosophical, showing the two very different sides of his nature. Wow!
The spicy scenes were scorching hot, and delved deeper into the chemistry and dynamics between these two.
As I've come to expect, there were twists, turns, intrigue, revelations, through-the-roof chemistry, and plenty of cameos from so many beloved characters from the greater universe.
Such a blindingly outstanding conclusion to the Revelation duet, 5 superlative stars.
Absolutely beautiful conclusion to the duet! Aurora and Hunter are #relationshipgoals as they learn how to navigate both being together along with the pressures from their new positions. I love how much they both grow emotionally both with each other, but also with their other relationships, now that they have each other to lean on. As always with Serena's books, the storytelling was phenomenal... SOOO many secrets laid bare and SOO many sprinkles for storylines to come! I'm not the biggest fan of BDSM-heavy storylines, but I found it to be both interesting and super hot in this story and am walking away feeling like I learned some new things, lol 🤷🏻♀️. Really, just an awesome friends to lovers read that you're not going to want to miss ❤️. Can't WAIT for Stan's book!
The Oracle is the second book in the Revelation Duet and cannot be read as a standalone. It is the fourth book in the Valentini Family series and while books one and two aren't necessary, the series is best appreciated when read in order. The Valentini Family series is part of the larger Five Points Mob universe by Serena Akeroyd.
After the cliffhanger from the first of this duet, I loved how this book jumped right in and reiterated what a bada$$ Aurora is. Not only that, Hunter continues to show what a fantastic hero he is. I absolutely loved the relationship between these two. Hunter’s love for Aurora is absolute, the way he knows exactly what Aurora needs leads her to finally be able to let go. There is a lot happening in this book, it was fun reading snippets of the going ons from so many of the previous books. The spice is spicy for sure, I did appreciate how the author provided trigger warnings in the beginning. And the author's note at the end was a revelation.
Overall, an amazing end to this duet. There seemed to be a tidbit of a story for the youngest brother, Custanzu (aka Stan), hopefully, he will get a book too.
The Oracle: Revelation: Part Two picks up right where book one, The Consigliere left off and it is a continuation of a story filled with constantly moving parts, twists and turns and memorable characters as Hunter, the new Don of the Camorra and Aurora, his new consigliere find their footing and work to maintain control over their territories and keep their friends close and their enemies, well…they deal with them how they see fit. Aurora and Hunter were childhood best friends and now as adults, their relationship is complex, explosive and forever! They are perfect for each other since not only do they understand the life in which they were born to but they also understand and are willing to meet the needs and desires of the other. Lastly, I want to say is that this duet is fantastic and kept me riveted from the first page until the last!
Well after that killer cliffhanger ending (no pun intended!) of book 1 i was wondering where this book would end up? It kicked off right where that first book ended and didn't lose pace from start to finish. Like other books in the Valentini family, Five Points, Sinners series the characters that crossover (which I absolutely love) engage and grip you for me Hunter & Rory's relationship/dynamic together are what made this duet great. It felt that they grew as characters together as their walls came down (more so Rory than Hunter) and let each other in. I couldn't put this book down. It was a cracking read
After this book I am left baffled even more than before I tell you. Not about Aurora and Hunter, who are absolutely smashing couple and might be one of my absolutely favourite from Serena. Aurora is such a ballbuster; I might mentioned it already but it's worth repeating. If there was more powerful couple than these too in this universe, I missed it. And we are not talking about Aidan Jr. or Rex, we are just not. I knew by this second part of The Revelation, I will be truly lost to Hunter. He could like do anything and I would still be on his side. But let's talk about EVERYTHING else what transpired about OTHER characters we SHALL not NAME at this time because CONNOR appeared and I just know December is going to take forever to come. (in other worlds I am not going to talk about it because I am not spoil sport) Okay, when is another Valentini book coming? Anyone giving me that info because I need THAT story too! And don't get me start about certain Russian. In other words, Serena is STAR (you see what I did here) and I am sure ALL of us appreciate her time to creating such an amazing place for us to get lost in.
Holy hotness! This book blew my mind... From the first chapter picking up from where The Consigliere left off. So it's important that you have read that first. This was a continuous fast paced read with events happening that kept me turning the pages.
The relationship between Hunter and Aurora was everything. She has always been a strong female character, t highlighted even more in this book. Especially with her taking on the two positions of Consigliere for the two separate factions. But she is also shown with her vulnerable side with Hunter. Where she needs to let someone else to be in control.
I loved everything about this book, bringing in characters from previous books, weaving in their stories. The author was so good at paving the way for Loadstar and Cono's book. Visiting old friends, introducing some new faces or some names we've heard before and want to know more. All slipped into they storytelling perfectly that leaves us wanting more. Especially more of the Valentinis, we want more of Stan and possibly the Bratva. Serena Akeroyd did a wonderful job of telling this story.Well done!
I loved this duet so much ❤️ Hunter and Aurora continue in this complicated relationship with Bert being a manipulator in their relationship. This couples growth and their dynamic is breathtaking and so perfect for them, that I could not put this book down. Serena’s world that she has created combines so many stories, with appearances of some characters from other books and a handful of who’s who combined into a jaw dropping and captivating story! Spectacular story!

Audiobook: Joe Arden and CJ Bloom did a wonderful job of bringing this book to life. The hotness factor is multiplied by these two narrator's. Between the authors story and the narrator's interpretation be prepared to need to fan yourself 🔥🥵🔥🥵
I don't know what else to say about this book except....I👏🏼AM👏🏼HERE👏🏼FOR👏🏼IT! I can honestly say that this book right here is in my top for 2022.
This book was soooo good! I don't have the words to truly express what I'm feeling. To be honest, Aurora was a character that I didn't like while reading The Don/The Lady. Now that we see her at a different angle in The Consigliere/The Oracle, everything makes sense. She is a ball buster. She has had to prove herself time and time again on her rise to the top. She feels SO much when you would think that she doesn't feel at all. When we see her underneath her layers, she is such a beautiful soul. My heart cried for her at one point.
As for Hunter...good God is all I have to say! He can baby girl me and croon at me anytime! All I can hear is "You were such a good girl.." Whew! I loved how he gave not just what Aurora wanted, but what she needed. The amount of dedication that he has for Aurora is just perfection.
I loved seeing Rex/Rachel and other Sinner friends. I cannot wait until Conor catches up to Star. Ah it's gonna be so good! I can't wait to see all of the other story arcs that come from this book as well. I am so jazzed to see what is coming in this universe! I am here for the ride!
🎧 Audiobook Review 🎧
Joe Arden and CJ Bloom are back at it again! The story is phenomenal and they just amped it up!
Review You know there are some books which you want to give more then FIVE stars ratings, The Oracle includes in those books. It's not 5 star book it's 10 star book because the author just wrote a book which is worthy to be featured on Netflix. The Oracle is second part of Revelation duet thus it started off where we left in Consigliere.
Aurora and Hunter surroundings are changing, they don't know who to trust and who to doubt. Only close family is trust able and in of all that they have to get some time for each other. We get to know where is Stan and let me tell you , there's no one intelligent as Aurora. She's so genius and I loved that she played a part and showed that a woman can be mafia and operate is better than any men. She's fearless and kind but she won't give you mercy if you mess with her. Hunter was always with her, he's so possessive which Aurora and us adores and he always put her first. Hunter is very straight forward man, if he wants you in his life, he will bring you and thats what I loved about him. plus the steam.... You ain't ready for this level of awesome steamy scenes 🥵
Now for those who love hints and Camoes 😉 - We get to see Stan (book hint very clear hint it is 😉) - we get to see Maxim and Aidan. Jr - We get a official title for Russian mafia 😉 And much much much more but I won't tell hehe
Steam 🌶🌶🌶🌶🌶/5 Hea Highly recommend this series and five Points, sinners Mc
Oracle is the second and last book in Revelation duet and the story picks right up from were the Consigliere finished. This is just as packed with excitement , twist and turns and what a rollercoaster ride off emotion especially for Aurora. Right from the start from when Aurora goes to meet Hunter grandfather in the prison to the very end there is never a dull moment for both off them. Hunter loved his grandfather and now that he has passed he has got some big shoes to fill with becoming the new Don but his grandfather has made sure he will succeed and live a long life as he has plans for Aurora to make sure Hunter succeed as Don with Aurora right by his side and what a power couple they make by joining the Cosa Nostra and the Camorra together. After everything that Aurora and Hunter have been in the end it all came together and I loved how the story end with a glimpse into the future off the power house that is Aurora and Hunter throughout everything in the end it all worked out and I absolutely love it and would highly recommend you read this series
Oracle is the last book in the duet and again, we get to listen to the delicious voice of Joe, Arden, and the lovely sweet voice of CJ Bloom, as Hunter and Aurora. I could listen to these two narrators all day long, but I have to say I have really enjoyed them being the characters of Hunter and Aurora in the story. As they just bring the characters to life, even more than when you are just reading the book. You feel you are there with the characters when you’re listening to them, both narrate the books absolutely love, listening to these books on audible, and I would highly recommend this serious by Serena Akeroyd, as she is an amazing author

Audiobook :
I loved this book when i originally read it but wow do i love the Audiobook more. Hunter and Aurora's chemistry is unreal and Joe and CJ captured that perfectly. This audiobook will have your heart racing and panties melting. Honestly you need to listen to Joe and CJ they both made me swoon throughout.
This particular book by Serena Akeroyd is NOTHING like I have ever read from her. Going through the Five Points, Satans Sinners and now The Valentinis, you see her writing evolve and it is at it's highest I've read, with this book. Bravo!
Now, the story... Welcome to the 2nd book of The Revelation Duet that goes through the story of Hunter and Aurora. Right from the beginning it jumped off into action as it picked up where The Consigliere left off. It's still very much interconnected throughout with the other series and you get a glimpse of each throughout The Oracle, which I loved! The banter between Hunter and Aurora didn't fade and neither did his protectiveness of her and his family. Aurora being a Valentini you still have plenty of plot with Stan *swoon* and Luc *double swoon*. It does end in a HEA and you get a glimpse into the future of Hunter and Aurora which is something I noticed the author likes to do at the end of a series and Hunter's POV had me loving him even more.
Another fantastic read and so worth the wait! Happy reading!
"And as I sank into his kiss, I reveled in the moment. I relished my new truth-I truly was his. The real me. Forever."
So, let me start by saying, I would've loved this duet a lot more if the author had pulled through with the DD/lg plot.
As for the book itself, I think the was a little issue with the pacing, especially toward the end. There wasn't any conclusive climax to this duet. It kinda fizzled out and left me quite unsatisfied. Plus, it meandered a lot too. There were just too many filler chapters for me to care about and adding to the unsatisfying conclusion to this couple's story, I was just not wholly impressed by this duet altogether.
However, the strength of this series is definitely the huge cast of characters and the dynamic between them. I do enjoy reading about the unique dynamic of the main couple. The whole thing with the soft Dom and alpha-ish sub is something I rarely see in my romance books and I appreciated that. I love how well they balanced each other out and how perfectly complimented one another. As much as I tend to stay away from BDSM stuffs, this one is alright.
Anyway, it was still a pretty decent duet. Started off strong and it fizzled out in the end there but I would still recommend this to anyone who wants a pretty nice BDSM/mafia book with an oblivious heroine and a very devoted hero.
Is the only way to describe these two. Although there is so much more to it than that. The years apart, the rebuilding a relationship, these two deserved a happily ever after. I love that once again other books and series are linked with this one. After that ending I cannot wait to see what’s in store for the future in this universe.
Serena never fails to amaze me with her writing. She pulls you into the world of her words and you are just enthralled with the story going on. It was so good. Another 5 star read for sure
