Taylor Sunshine lives in a small Jersey beach town called Cape May where she works as a wedding planner at Sunshine Bridal. She is the youngest of three sisters, and the one who wanted to spread her wings, explore and travel, but when life happens, plans change, and suddenly she's back home running the family business with her sisters. Dreams are put on hold, but over the years never forgotten. Then an opportunity presents itself to embrace something new and finally have the adventure and future she'd once imagined. Will she be able to walk away from her hometown and her best friend.

Pierce Powers has made a name for himself as a talented photographer in Cape May, but lately he longed for new experiences. He felt a sense of restlessness, and was itching for more. Cape May was a part of him, and so was his best friend Taylor. They'd been inseparable since high school, but things between them were strictly platonic. She was his ride or die, and they'd vowed to protect their relationship forever, by never getting involved romantically. He believes in her and supports all her big plans, even if they take her away from him. They were both creative souls ready to dive into their next chapter, but what will they do when one kiss changes their course? Soon boundaries are crushed and rules are broken as they surrender to their connection. As they explore some no strings attached fun over the summer lines are blurred and the easy friendship they share becomes more.

-He was the thread interwoven in the fabric of her life.

-She knew she got the very best of Pierce Powers, the part that no one else could ever claim.

-His presence seemed so much more overpowering than it usually did, as if he ate up the space and breath between them, drawing her in.

Pierce was the boy she grew up with that knew her best. Now a man, he was still her person, and the only man she allowed close. He was the one she could always count on, and accepted her completely. He made her feel treasured, but they were destined for different paths. She longed for freedom and something to soothe the wild restlessness inside her. At the end of summer will they go their separate ways, or risk it all for love?

Forever In Cape May (The Sunshine Sisters #3) by Jennifer Probst is a heartwarming friends to lovers romance about unexpected love, beautiful connections, friendship, family, loyalty, trust, and magical chemistry. This was my favorite of the series! I loved this story and seeing these characters evolve and grow. It's a fabulous, sexy, love story about self discovery and the beauty in allowing yourself to be vulnerable. Pierce Powers completely stole my heart! This man is just everything!!! <333

We're back in Cape May on the Jersey Coast with the three Sunshine sisters who run their own wedding planner business.

Taylor is the final sister to tell us her story.
She was never supposed to be working as a wedding planner. She always wanted more. She wanted to travel. To make art. To live an amazing life outside of boring Cape May, New Jersey.
And after years of being stuck at home, she's finally seeing an amazing artsy future on the horizon. Painting in Paris... and so much more exciting things to come.
And then there's Pierce. Taylor and Pierce have been besties since highschool.
They made a pact that nothing romantic will ever happen between them. It would destroy their friendship.

Famous last words ...

Let the fun times begin ...

WHAT WILL HAPPEN WITH TAYLOR & PIERCE?
WILL THERE BE A HEA??
READ THE BOOK TO FIND OUT ☺

I just loved this series ... so much!
And this final book is just as adorable as the first ones.

We so want those two to finally figure things out! Everybody knows they belong together!
It might take them a little while though. They're just too scared to lose their amazing friendship.

I don't want to say any more - I don't want to spoil anything.
It was a beautiful and funny and adorable and sparky love story.

It's an amazing series. Perfect location! Great cast!

Also - I want to move to Cape May asap!
And I so want to see this whole thing on Netflix!!!

FOREVER IN CAPE MAY was such an adorable + sparky & emotional + artsy + wedding-y New Jersey Beach Town love story! I loved it! Run to your nearest amazon for your own Pierce - this one is mine!

What I liked best about Pierce and Taylor's story is that since they were such great friends, it felt like I got couple time with them even though they weren't officially together. Knowing Taylor's feelings about commitment, I had serious concerns about if I would enjoy this one and I'm glad to be wrong. The only thing I really wish for this whole series was that all couples decided to be together sooner. I just really enjoy reading about a couple working together against drama instead of that drama being between them. I still enjoyed all three books due to the great writing and likability of all the characters.

ARC received for an honest review

You know when you pick up a JP book you are going to get a heartfelt, wonderful story that you are going to fall in love with.

But this time, I just didn't. I like the characters of Taylor and Pierce for the most part, but as a romantic couple? Nope, just didn't feel it, at all.

I think it was because there was such a fuss made at the beginning about how there was no sexual attraction between them, the deal they made etc, that when they fell into the sex-trap, to me there was just nothing really there.

And I got so frustrated and mad at Taylor at times for things, that that also took away from the heart eyes feelings I should have been having.

Things did speed up and get better in the latter half of the book, but not enough to bring my rating up - sorry Ms Probst

not loving a childhood best friends to lovers book always makes me more upset than when it’s any other trope…

for some reason i had a tough time truly connecting to the main characters of this story. it’s a good enough book, with a interesting premise, but it didn’t click for me and i honestly can’t pinpoint why that is.

for a book this short it took me a good while to finish because i wasn’t hooked at all. and it hurts to say this, because i truly wanted to have liked this one.

the guys’ friendship was my favorite part of the book, and obviously bella and gabe’s crumbs 😭

I enjoyed this friends to lovers romance. Taylor and Pierce have been best friends since high school. Now, Taylor can’t wait to get away and Pierce is happy where he is. One night, they make a pact - they’re going to be summer lovers, friends with benefits. Can their friendship survive, or will it turn into something more?

The chemistry between the two children was intense. Jennifer Probst writes characters that feel like friends, one of the reasons I read her books. Her plots are believable and keep the reader engaged. This was a perfect summer read! 4 stars.

Thanks to the publisher and NetGalley I received a complimentary copy of this book. Opinions expressed in this review are completely my own

I haven't read previous books in series, so I wasn't familiar with the stories about the other sisters.
I love friends to lovers tropes, that's why I requested that title. I read J. Probst earlier book series 5 year ago and remembered that I loved her, so I gave it a chance.

The book was great, I really love author's reading style, energy and connection between main characters were sizzling and great. I had emotional scenes but overall was funny and easy read.
I fell in love with all the characters and I will surely continue to read her works.

I enjoyed book 3 better than book 2.
It was very much like a friends to lovers story is. And I was ok with that I liked that Taylor still followed her plan to leave and explore.

Pierce was so epic in the way he loves her no matter what she wants to do he is there for Taylor.
I liked their friendship but I loved their romance more.

I just hate when they talked to each other about everything else but this!!! Like grrr frustrating but I get it, we needed the woe so we could enjoy the HEA.

I will say my favorite thing about this series was the bro love, their get together’s were awesome.

The narration was great in this book Teddy is my favorite CJ is great sometimes her male voices aren’t my favorite but still enjoyed.

Forever in Cape May is the third book in the Sunshine Sister series. It's about when best friends take their relationship to the next level and become lovers; what happens when two people think they know what the other wants and needs.

Taylor Sunshine is the youngest of the three sisters; she always wanted to travel, explore new countries, and become an artist. Although she didn't go far away from Cape May for college, she didn't think that she would be going back to help out her parents' bridal business either. However, when her sister's husband died in an automobile accident, she did the right thing, went back home, and helped her sisters out with the business. Now it's her time to shine to travel and see if she can make it in the art world.

Pierce Powers is Taylor's best friend and vowed to keep things platonic, so when things changed between him and Taylor, his world is thrown upside down. They have the perfect relationship, trust, loyalty, and friendship. Could it be any better?

I adore Jennifer Probst's stories; she takes her readers on a journey with every book she pens. This one is more of a contemporary romance and maybe one of my favorites. I hope we get a follow-up or a revisit to Cape May to check in on the Sunshine Bridal and the sisters.

This is the third book in The Sunshine Sisters series. This can be read as a stand alone, but would be better enjoyed in the series. Taylor and Pierce story is sweet friends to lovers with no strings attached trope.
Overall Forever in Cape May is a small town, feel good romance.

Taylor and Pierce work together with her siblings in the marriage business. They've been best friends forever. People in town might believe there's more than friendship between these two but after one or two kisses when they were younger, it's always been clear for them they'll never go there and there's never been any awkwardness. But it all changed on a drunken night after work. Now they can't seem to stop wanting each other. Is it because they're finally ready to face the truth or is it the fact she's leaving town soon to start a new career in another country that give them an incentive?

This friends-to-lovers romance is as its best once the characters let themselves be vulnerable. Jennifer Probst is an author I would recommend if you like seeing inside the characters' souls. I wasn't sure how she would make the relationship transition work for me since there wasn't any doubt for the MC about their friendship but JP did it flawlessly and it was so sexy🔥.

I'll keep this short: I've been enjoying this series, so I read this for completion's sake, but that blurb had all kinds of red flags in it for me. And they all came true. I can't really blame the book for delivering on its promise of a cringe-worthy friends with benefits arrangement between two longtime friends who should definitely know that they can't keep feelings out of the equation. We got a few peeks at this relationship prior to the start of the book, so I was already hesitant going in. It was predictable, went on way too long, and was generally a frustrating read. But not poorly written, and not unexpected based on the blurb. It just wasn't my kind of love story.

Taylor and Pierce have been the best of friends since high school, and one thing they know for certain is that they never want to have sex and ruin their special bond. It helps that neither is attracted to the other, and the couple times they kissed ended with giggles. However, after a long, drunken, emotional night, the pair ends up having sex and nothing is the same.

Forever in Cape May has all the best features of the friends-to-lovers trope. Taylor and Pierce are equals from the start; each loves the other and has no interest in more. They have different life goals, and everyday they realize how perfect their friendship is just as it is. They share everything, leaning on the other during the bad/difficult times, while celebrating the successes. So after they end up having amazing sex, I appreciate that they don’t just pretend it didn’t happen, rather they do what they always have done and talk it out. Neither understands why they are suddenly so attracted to the other. Why they suddenly feel so much chemistry and other feelings. It’s confusing and unwanted in that they liked how things were and are scared they’ll lose it. But after realizing that they share a strong attraction, they decide to continue having sex and fall into the rationale of “if we have the sex, we won’t want the sex and we’ll get it out of our system.”

They pair has the summer, working and playing together, keeping their affair from friends and family. And it all seems to work for the weeks leading up to Taylor’s departure for Paris and her new life away from Cape May. However, here is where the communication breaks down. Although they are open, each hides a little bit of themselves, and that little bit is the potential game changer. They both are feeling restless and unfulfilled, and each approaches the feelings differently. Taylor is so certain she is broken and can’t ever love fully. She’s certain she knows what Pierce wants. Pierce is afraid of driving away Taylor… although it’s typical for the trope, it’s an emotionally satisfying story.

Narration: The story is shared via the third person alternating POVs of Taylor and Pierce, with Ms. Bloom (CB) sharing Taylor’s POV and Mr. Hamilton (TH) sharing Pierce’s POV. Overall, both narrators do a solid job with their primary character. CB adds a lot of emotion to the dialogue when called for. However, she has a fairly high-pitched voice, which doesn’t work all that well for the male characters. Similarly, TH has a deep, slightly accented voice that works well for male characters, but his female voices only slightly higher pitched, but still convincingly feminine. One issue I had for both narrators was that their range of voices for the different characters was not all that varied and caused character confusion several times.

In the end, Forever in Cape May is my favorite of the series. The story of friends to lovers has all the familiar ups and downs, and the couple gets trapped in familiar pitfalls, but it’s worth the journey and risk.

My Ratings:
Story: B+
Narration: B/B-

I have always enjoyed the idea that even though there is history with years of friendship, there’s still much more to know about a person. I enjoy the anguish of deciding what the next move should be and which a person should follow, their heart or their head. This story is a prime example of that. Taylor and Pierce’s is sweet and wholesome. It’s the kind of relationship you hope for with your partner. One that is supportive and kind, while having a passion that is hard to extinguish. Though this is a part of a series, I had no problem jumping in while not reading the other two books. The author had a great way of making a new reader, like myself, feel as if I did read the other two books.

For as nice as this story was, there were times it felt a bit too generic for me and there wasn’t much to distinguish it from other books with a similar storyline. At times I had a hard time with Taylor as the lead female. Some of her actions irritated me and her stubbornness made it hard for me to root for them as a couple. For me the story was more captivating towards the end of it. I felt more chemistry and emotions than in the beginning. The pace of the story began to speed up and I found myself becoming more invested in the outcome towards the end.

Overall this was a good read and though there are some aspects of the story that I wish were different, I did enjoy a majority of it. Thank you to NetGalley and Montlake for this ARC

Forever in Cape May recalls the story of Taylor and Pierce, childhood best friends who eventually want more. This was a perfectly good story! I loved the beachy settings and the feel of summer the book gave. It was a good friends-to-lovers arc, but without anything special about it. It was a lovely relationship development, but was similar to maaaaaany things I've previously read. I wished there had been a more unique twist to it!

5 Star Review Forever In Cape May (The Sunshine Sisters #3) by Jennifer Probst
The third book in The Sunshine Sisters series from Jennifer Probst and what a great addition Forever In Cape May is. I have loved all the books in this series but this one is my favourite. Taylor Sunshine and Pierce Powers have been best friends for years, even though they have experimented with a kiss or two, both have agreed it can never be anything else.
Taylor never planned on working at Sunshine Bridal, her family’s wedding business and planning to travel and see the world, while Pierce has no plans to travel, content to stay in Cape May.
After one drink too many, Taylor and Pierce share a night of passion. Both know it can go nowhere as Taylor is leaving to pursue her art in Paris, while Pierce has his own photography business in Cape May. After deciding that a friends with benefits relationship is in order, neither have any idea that their lives and relationship have changed forever. I was frustrated with Taylor and Pierce at times, the lack of communication between them had me wanting to yell at them.
I really enjoy Ms. Probst style of writing, her characters are engaging and you quickly find yourself invested in their stories. I have loved each and every one of the Sunshine sisters. This was a fun and entertaining read with such a wonderful feeling of love and family that I was sad when the book ended.
I received a copy of this book from the publisher through NetGalley.

This is the third and final novel in the Sunshine Sisters trilogy. Having read the first two books, I wasn't really sure I wanted to read Taylor's story. The three Sunshine Sisters grew up in Cape May and were running a very successful wedding planning business. But Taylor was the one sister that never wanted to be a part of the family business, couldn't wait to leave Cape May and didn't believe in marriage! To say she was the black sheep of the family was an understatement. However, as much as I wasn't looking forward in particular to Taylor's story, I knew I wanted to see how everything worked out in the series. After having finished the book, I am very glad I didn't let my previous opinion stop me from reading. Although, frankly there were plenty of times I wanted to smack some sense into Taylor to get her to realize she was missing what was right in front of her with her best friend Pierce! This best friends to lovers romance was a great escape from the everyday with its descriptions of Cape May to the streets of Paris.

What a great way to end the fun Sunshine Sisters series! Taylor and Pierce's friends to lovers tale was fun! I enjoyed their personalities, I loved how the photography and art aspects of their lives evolved beautifully throughout, and especially loved how their no-chemistry friendship turned into a sizzling summer!

Even though I would have loved a longer "end" to the series, Taylor and Pierce got their amazing HEA, and we caught a glimpse of the happiness that would follow the Sunshine sisters and their men!

I will have to read more Jennifer Probst! Love her style. These three books were a great way to finish the summer!

WOW! I absolutely loved Forever in Cape May by Jennifer Probst, the third and final book in her Sunshine Sisters series! I can truly say, that Forever in Cape May is an incredible love story, that is filled me with a rollercoaster of emotions and I could not put it down. I loved every moment on every page. Jennifer Probst has once again shown that she is an amazing storyteller. Forever in Cape May was a bittersweet book for me knowing that it was the final book and it completed the Sunshine Sisters series. Each book in the series keeps getting better and better and I have loved each book, but I truly believe that Forever in Cape May is my favorite book in the series. Jennifer Probst has once again provided her readers with amazing characters. I love all the characters in Forever in Cape May, they feel like family! Who doesn't love hot sexy men, strong, passionate females, and loving families, who always support one another? I enjoyed the loving bond of the Sunshine sisters, and all their interactions, it felt like real family love and made me laugh at their teasing. Jennifer Probst delivered all that I love in a friends to lovers’ story and so much more. I really enjoy how the book is told from the perspective of the main characters. I love getting the insight and feelings from the different characters. Forever in Cape May is wonderful love story and is filled with heartbreaking and heartwarming moments. I love the lighter moments where I find myself smiling and laughing out loud and the bittersweet moments that cause me to sigh, say aww to myself with tears filling my eyes. Forever in Cape May is filled with such moments, and with so much emotion. It is filled with all those things that we have come to love and expect in a love story, especially the poignant and bittersweet moments that filled this page turner. Forever in Cape May is the story of Pierce Powers, photographer who works with Sunshine Bridal and Taylor Sunshine, co-owner of Sunshine Bridal with her sisters Avery and Bella. Taylor and Pierce have been best friends since high school and promised each other that they would never try to be more than friends. Taylor did not plan on returning to Cape May following college graduation, but everything changed when Bella’s husband, Matt was killed in a car accident. Carter put Taylor in contact with Luis, who is willing to show Taylor’s work in Paris. After a night of drinking following a bachelorette party, Taylor and Pierce’s relationship changed. As they spend more time together, they share secrets that they haven’t shared with anyone before, and realize they may have something more. Taylor believes the Pierce wants a wife and family in Cape May and makes a rash decision that jeopardizes not only their relationship, but their friendship. I love that both Pierce and Taylor were both willing to be so vulnerable and that each of them changed because of their love for one another. Then a surprise plot twist changes everything that they had built with one another. In order to get Pierce back, Taylor realizes that she has to do something big to win Pierce back and I loved her grand gesture! I love Pierce’s relationship with Carter, Gabe and especially, Zoe. I loved that Forever in Cape May is a more than just a romance, there are dilemmas that both Taylor and Pierce are facing that need to be resolved, Pierce’s decision to change the focus of photography and Taylor’s fears that Pierce will eventually resent her for giving up his dreams in Cape May. Forever in Cape May is such a beautifully written love story, that is such a fitting tribute to Taylor and Pierce. I love all the descriptions of the setting that Jennifer Probst details, it makes me want to visit. My favorite part of the book is that is concluded the series in such a beautiful way, with Avery and Carter’s stunning wedding, and a proposal for Bella and Gabe, I truly love how the story went above and beyond the happily ever after. Forever in Cape May is filled with the poignant and bittersweet moments in the story as well as the plot twists, that I have come to love and expect in Jennifer Probst's stories. I love the cast of characters in Forever in Cape May and loved catching up with Avery, Carter, Bella, Gabe and Zoe. Who doesn’t love family and friends that always have each other’s backs? I thoroughly enjoyed Forever in Cape May, who doesn’t love a beautifully written love story, that concludes an amazing series.

𝔽𝕠𝕣𝕖𝕧𝕖𝕣 𝕀𝕟 ℂ𝕒𝕡𝕖 𝕄𝕒𝕪 is the third book in the Sunshine Sisters series. It's about when the best of friends take the new step into the unknown and become lovers and think they know what the other wants and needs without really asking.

Taylor Sunshine is the youngest of the three sisters. She's always been an artist at heart and wants to travel the world, explore new countries and make her art her main focus.
After finishing college, when she's about to live her dreams she gets a devastating call from home, and spends the next several years helping her sisters out with the family bridal business, putting her dreams on hold.

Pierce Powers is her best friend and they vowed when they were teens that things were going to be kept platonic after 2 "failed" kisses.
So when things change present day for him and Taylor, his world is thrown upside down.

They have the perfect relationship. Trust, loyalty and friendship. But the attraction that both feel is the thing that stands between them, the fear of the unknown, and only thinking they know what the other is feeling.

Jennifer Probst is an amazing writer. Each book she pens takes you on an amazing journey where you feel like you are part of the story.

I'd like to thank the author, Jennifer Probst and Grey's Promotion for an advanced copy in exchange for an honest review.

5 Dreams May Change Stars!!!

I’ve so loved this series especially since I’m so familiar with Cape May having moved to the east coast several years ago. But more than that, Taylor and Pierce have intrigued me from the very beginning. I always wondered if there was more to their best friend relationship. The connection between them is strong and forevermore. But as Taylor is getting ready to leave for Paris to pursue her dream of painting, things change in one night.

Because Taylor and Pierce are such great friends, they decide to take advantage of their status change and this leads to all the emotional feels I love about a Jennifer Probst book. Her characters truly feel like friends to me, especially the Sunshine Sisters. They love and work hard so you can imagine how the friends with benefits arrangement between Taylor and Pierce may change the dynamics at work too!

I’m not going to say too much more because this book will give you all the feels both good and bad because things may not go the way we want them to go…. But you’ll need to read this book to find out exactly what happens when friends become lovers!!

Saved the best for last!

If you’ve read the first two books in the Sunshine Sisters series then you know that Taylor and Pierce are perfect for each other and destined to be together...too bad they don’t see it!

Friends since they were kids, they make a pact to never mess their friendship up with sex. When they give into the chemistry between them they both realize that their futures may look more similar than they alway envisioned.

I love the emotional journey that Taylor takes and they growth they Pierce fearlessly embraces. But be warned this one will have you laughing and fanning yourself from the heat these two generate but also might have you shedding a tear or two...or ten! It’s the perfect ending to a wonderful series.

I received a complimentary review copy of this book but all opinions are my own.

I was excited to read “Forever in Cape May” because the beautiful seaside town of Cape May is magical, welcoming and the perfect place to fall in love. I love Taylor and I couldn’t wait to find out how she really felt about Pierce. I love her pink hair, feisty attitude and infectious personality. The closeness of the Sunshine sisters and the fun they have at work and at home is refreshing and emphasizes the importance of family.

Taylor loves working with her sisters but she doesn’t love what she does. Taylor’s restless spirit called to her to travel and pursue a career in the art world. Leaving her family would be hard, but saying goodbye to Pierce would be heartbreaking. He was her soulmate, her better half and he was the only person who truly understood her. Taylor and Pierce are creative artists who share everything with each other: their hopes and dreams, nights on the couch watching movies, and fun days at the beach. Every minute they spent together was special and created more memories for their scrapbook. I enjoyed watching Taylor and Pierce fall in love even though they were trying to fight it. Their new feelings for each other were intense and confusing, but not unexpected. Perhaps this was what their relationship was always meant to become.

“Forever in Cape May” is a heart-tugging and emotional story of friendship, love and chasing your dreams. I could sense the deep feelings between Taylor and Pierce immediately and I desperately wanted them to be together forever! Pierce would never hold Taylor back from pursuing her dreams but the sadness Pierce was exhibiting was overwhelming and all-consuming. He wanted her to be happy but he couldn’t see a life without her and he was afraid she would never come back. It was inevitable that their desire for each other would be too strong to ignore. They came together in love because it had always been there. The only question was whether love was all they needed, or would their lives take them in different directions and lead to an uncertain future?

Taylor Sunshine and Pierce Powers have been great friends forever but have never crossed the line of being more.
Taylor has her heart set on touring Europe and making a name for herself as an artist. Pierce wants to put down roots in Cape May and stay there and raise a family.
Taylor is getting ready to have an art show in Paris and Pierce is already having trouble with the idea of her moving so far away.
But, one night changes it all....they decide that a Summer fling with no attachments is the only thing they can have.
How can these two figure out a new direction? Light story and great relationship betweent he two characters.

Picking this book out at my local public library was like picking a needle out of a haystack. Out of the 6 books I chose to give fiction books another chance I chose this as my first read. What a beautiful story 🥹🩷

The ending made me tear and I held this book for a bit once it was over because I was in my feels.

I love the feeling of love 💕 This story is about 2 best friends since highschool who never saw each other romantically growing up & both wanted completely different futures. After having shared a kiss a few times before and feeling nothing, one day after vowing to keep things plantomic electricity was felt. Pursue individual dreams or new dreams coming true? So good!

Taylor Sunshine and Pierce Powers have been best friends since being paired up for a highschool project. After a few awkward kisses when they were younger they decided platonic was the only way they could be. Fast forward several years and one drunken night, they discover their attraction goes deeper. Unfortunately, this discovery comes just before Taylor is planning to leave Cape May. Pierce and Taylor decide they can spend the summer having fun and return to platonic friends at the end of the 6 weeks. What's the worst that can happen? Their friendship has already survived so much.

I have been waiting for Pierce and Taylor's story since the first book in the series came out and it was worth the wait. I loved everything about it. Forever in Cape May is full of all the feelings, it's sweet, funny, has such good tension, and punched me in the heart a couple of times. I adore Pierce and Taylor as a couple, they're a little bit of an odd fit but so so good together. Watching them carefully navigate their feelings for each other as they changed made my heart hurt a little. Overall this is a fantastic read, I thoroughly enjoyed it.
