The second installment to the trilogy is full of suspense, danger, and adventure for Carter, June and Theo. As much as I enjoyed our trio (they were on fire together), I felt the romance was put on the back burner. With everything happening, there wasn't enough time for relationship growth or have something deeper. It ends on a cliffhanger and I shouldn't be surprised that what happened happened. I feel like I've read it something similar in a few of the Midnight Dynasty books. Anyways, I'm curious to see how this trilogy will conclude. 3.75 stars

4.5 Stars I'm loving this trilogy written by Skye Warren and Amelia Wild. They are a great writing team. This is a shorter read, and think it'd be better as one book. It's daring, steamy, heartbreaking, and beautiful all rolled together. It started where book one left off, giving us answers we were left with after that last breathtaking cliffhanger. I loved getting to know the characters better. Once again, we're left with a "you've got to be kidding!!! " cliffhanger. Cannot wait for the HEA.

I need book three yesterday!! Wow, what a trip this book takes you on. Just be sure to read book one, Forces of Nature first because Carter, June and Theo's story continues to unfold over the course of the series and yes, that does mean cliffhangers. The drama is juicy, the tension tantalizing, the emotions intense, the suspense edge-of-your-seat worthy, the action breath-stealing and the heat and steam ozone melting. Twisty and lush, this series is sinfully good and wickedly hot.
