“If sin weren’t pretty, it wouldn’t be so tempting.”
I was an accomplished music professor. Happily single. Perfectly content.
Now, I’m unemployed. Pining for a dark, brooding guy named Jack who lives in a garage with a piano. And I’m plotting to seduce a married man because his daughter is responsible for my nephew committing suicide.
I don’t know why teenage girls are so mean. I don’t know why rich men cheat on their wives. And I don’t know why Jack has serial killer vibes, even though he leaves me speechless every time he speaks.
All I know for sure is that I feel safe in a stranger’s arms and understood by someone I don’t understand.
“You should be a little scared of everyone because humans are unpredictable.”
How far will I go for revenge? More than that … How far will he go to save me?

༺ღ 𝐁𝐄𝐂𝐀𝐔𝐒𝐄 𝐎𝐅 𝐇𝐄𝐑 ღ༻ Is the sixth full length romance book within the (Jack & Jill) series by author Jewel E. Ann. Spoken in 'dual perspectives.'
This is the one book I've been highly anticipating, making me excited to dive back into this world, a series which made me discover this author and I've been riding that high ever since.
I may be biased when it comes to this series, my love for it knows no bounds, the characters each have a piece of my heart, book after book I fall deeper.
This is the Jewel e. Ann I love, this world she created, the suspense, the nail biting, the giggles, the swooning, the heartbreak, the love, the loss, this series brung it all.
Onto these two, god I didn’t think anyone would/could become Jackson’s equal, until her, Frankie. She surpassed all my expectations. I loved her! Around her he wasn’t such a badass, she breathed life into him, the grump and the sunshine. The music made them whole. She wrung out a softer side of him. She opened him up and slayed him.
My darling Jude Day/Jackson Knight you can finally let go and enjoy life. You deserve it. It’s no secret that I adore the Jack & Jill trilogy along with Out of Love which left an open ending to Jackson’s story.
Because of Her is his journey towards a HEA. It’s a fabulous romantic suspense. His opposite Frankie is so right for him even though it didn’t start out that way. Jackson did his best to keep him to himself, finish his mission and Frankie very intrigued by him so it was a tantalizing connection they slowly created and I reveled in it. Their chemistry was so good. I really liked they had music especially playing the piano and being a twin in common. It only deepened their connection as the story progressed. But their love for family was their strongest commonality. How far they both will go for family was truly heartfelt.
Jackson’s family appeared and I couldn’t be happier. I cheered and teared up cause they’re all about love and not giving up on one another and again they showed why they’re amazing characters. Because of Her gave me suspense, romance and a beautiful ending to some of my favorite characters I’ve had the pleasure of reading. Bravo!
Jack & Jill is one of my favourite series and as such, my expectations were high. So, it's fair game to point out that book #6 is the only book in the series that disappointed me. It can be read as a standalone.
The plot was good and fast-paced, sadly, the romance followed the same speed, leaving much to be desired. It didn't work for me. It felt extremely insta and superficial.
But hey, there are lots of 5 stars and maybe this is me living a book-crises.
I wish I could start this entire series over for the first time. I wish more people read this authors work because she is one of the most phenomenal storytellers in the game. I also wish I had a Jude/Jackson/Jack to call my own.
When I finished Out of Love I longed for “more”, I needed more of everything! I got that and so so so much more than that in this.
Told in dual POV, Frankie’s in first person and Jacks in third (brilliant if you ask me) this is Jackson’s finish! He is tying up lose ends trying to bring closure to the part of his and Jessica’s past. The one thing he didn’t plan on was Francesca Holter riding into town and turning his plans to crap!
My precious JACKSON😭😭😭I didn’t think I could love him more but I was soooooo wrong!!! He is the ultimate book bf and always has been but we get to see him in his element, whereas we only saw snippets of him in the earlier books. This is him, stripped down, vulnerable, hanging on by a thread. As we all know he lost something very precious to him and he hasn’t been the same. He thought he never would be the same until he met his match! I loved seeing this side to him, I loved his pov and his inner thoughts! He made me laugh with his dry sarcasm! The interaction he had with his twin Jessica made me laugh out loud! I also LIVE for him and Slade in the same room🤣🤣🤣freaking hilarious!!!
Frankie…Frankie…FRANKIE!!!!! What an absolute bada$$🙌🏻I live for fmc like her!!! She also was so heartbreaking for me. I didn’t cry but I could have in several scenes with her. She comes to Kansas due to tragedy, she makes a revenge plan and oh boy🤦🏼♀️it turns to crap in a HUGE way!! Lucky for her she meets a brilliant pianist and he becomes her hero in every way😭 I think the thing that drew me to her was she loved her family fiercely just as Jackson did. She was willing to do anything to get closure (having to choose my words because no spoilers right!). She was also the one that made many sacrifices for her family and had nothing to show for it other than a plethora of degrees and accolades. She in my opinion was just surviving and not living much like Jackson. The other thing I loved was she was the polar opposite to Ryn and I think at this point in Jackson’s life that was exactly what he needed. They complimented each other perfectly!
Eloise the neighbor was a breath of fresh air and I loved her! She became a friend to both Jack and Frankie and she cracked me up.
I wish I could go on and on but alas…spoilers😉and I tend to ramble. I will just say this. This book was the most perfect wrap up to Jacks story and JEA has written a sublime novel. It had everything you could want, angst, grumpy-sunshine, love, lust, mystery, murder, and HOT sexy time (this was really hot for her). This is a must read and although this is a standalone I would strongly suggest reading the Jack and Jill series prior to reading this book!!! You will not be sorry!!!!!!!
It was so much fun being in this world again! I think I honestly liked this version of Jackson better. Frankie was such a great match for him. I would've loved them working together for revenge. Slade & Jackson tho, literally the highlight for me. I need a whole book of just those two bickering
Jewel, thank you for this journey. I fucking love you so much.🥺🥺❤️❤️
"Love is so fucking crippling. It’s a minefield—a bunch of … potholes waiting to make you stumble. And when the source of that love dies, you’re left in the dark—lost and confused—until someone takes your hand and shows you the way out. Until you find a new light.”
“Take off your clothes before you play for me.” Frankie turns, resting her chin against her shoulder. “Is that your kink?” “I’m too fucking old for kink. I simply know what I like.” She removes her top and shorts, depositing them on the floor by the piano bench. “And you like watching me play the piano naked?” Jackson leans against the back of the sofa and crosses his arms. “We’re about to find out.”
Not the best romance I've read this year. This story made no sense to me. Franchesca is seeking revenge. Her whole family committed suicide? She blames her brothers suicide on his gf because of a letter. The gfs family are pretty much gangsters. Enter Jackson, who suddenly shows up, but we don't know why. There was hardly any plot or point to this story. I usually like Jewel E Ann, but this was bad. Just my opinion
Jackson. Book Number 3? 4? 5? 🤔 If you haven't read any of his books in the Jack and Jill series - PLEASE DO SO NOW. It might break your heart several times, but you need to get to know him and everything about him and his people! And after that you can come back here. And please don't keep on reading this review if you haven't read his books yet! Also - if you're easily triggered by suicide (off the page) and raperishy scenes ... don't read this book.
We're in Nowhere Kansas. Francesca just came into town to clean out her brother's house. Her brother killed himself three years ago. And then just a while ago Francesca's nephew Steven also killed himself. And the mom couldn't take all the pain so she killed herself just a day later. And now here's Francesca getting her twin brother's house ready to be sold. But the nice 80-something neighbor lady just gave her something very interesting. Something that points to someone who might be guilty in driving her nephew to kill himself. And that person - or rather that person's father is why our darling Jackson is in town too. He lives in the old lady's garage. And Francesca is super interested in this mysterious guy!
══════════════════
Ugh. Jackson! That poor guy. Is he finally getting his forever ever happily ever after ever with Francesca? But first he has to get rid of the last of the threats against his family. His sister, his daughter. His grandson. They won't have a safe and free life if Jackson fails in this Kansas mission. Francesca is so not the distraction he needs right now. But he also can't stay away.
It's so adorable and funny and sparky and sexy and heartbreaking and sad and griefy and dangerous. Ugh. We hope all through the book that those two will get that happily ever after. But it doesn't look good.
I loved reading this. I will miss these Jack & Jill people so much! These books were just amazing! I so need Hollywood to come and make an amazing show out of all of this!
BECAUSE OF HER was such a beautiful book. Adorable. Heartbreaking. Sweet. Funny. Dangerous. Dark. Sad. Hopeless. And all the things. The perfect finale in this amazing series! READ IT!
There is nothing more delectable than finding a book so addictive, I've not slept a wink till early Dawn Of The Day, utterly engrossed in the tale. A reminder of fragility of life as is, made me think about my own life. The force of grief, the art of surviving and a colossal effort required to Live. But mainly the power of forgiveness. Of others and thyself. Oh how jewel hammers home the forgiveness part, it had me a blubbering mess. The letter!!😢
"It’s not okay to check out. It’s not okay to take the do-over. There is no do-over. There is only DO BETTER."
With the ease of a literary gazelle, Jewel jumps from trope to trope with such ease and flexibility, it's hard to put her in a designated box of angsty writer. She crumbles the walls, breaks the ceiling, pushes the envelope off the edge of any established parameters of story telling. And that's why she's my number ONE go to author.
It is such a thrill to a zealous reader like me to not only realise that one of my favourite authors never fails to blow my mind with her stories, but that she also remains capable of surprising me, time after time, as I never quite know what kind of ‘journey’ she would take me on, always somehow managing to leave me utterly stunned in the aftermath of her extraordinary tales
"Letting go is hard. And holding on is an illusion"
She can make you laugh, cry, hoot & holler, gallop like a Cowboy, question your beliefs and also spin a grey-ish thriller of a story that sets your pulse racing with mystery and intrigue. I legit didn't know I needed this book, but after The Jack & Jill Series I knew there was something left unfinished. Jackson knight still had a story to tell.
"The memories of us will be her new god—the north of her new moral compass. "
Her vibrant imagination keeps the freshness alive, even if characters and setting are unconventional to say the least. And as this series just keeps on giving, I still find every book contains an intriguing story with a novel approach. In this one, Jackson knight is living in a garage of his neighbour Eloise. Playing his piano "Black Beauty" right next to his BMW and homemade gym. Francesca Holter is here to pick up the leftover pieces of her late brother's family, after his suicide, his wife and son have died too. Frankie wants closure and mementos. But before that, two catastrophic things happen that'll change her life forever. Meeting Jack is the third and jury is still out on that one. The entire book is filled with surprising twists and turns but the shared bottomline of sentiment remains the same.
"Grief changes people on a cellular level. It rewires the brain."
The path of vengeance doesn't discern the difference between casualties. Frankie learns the hard way what Jack has known all along - ignoring the past bestows failure upon the future or if it’s the only way to ensure its success. this dilemma has no answer.
I fell in love only deeper with versatility of a genius Jewel...AGAIN! What a powerful, distinctive story it turned out to be. I didn't know it but jewel knew, that we as readers WANT this story so desperately. And she in her inimitable quirky way winds up with a surprising, therapeutic twist we knew was compulsory for moving forward. I'm completely overwhelmed & shattered and made whole again. Crying and smiling at the same time. 6 stars for Day, Knight, and everything in between Follow me on: Email🌻 Bookbub 🌻 Twitter🌻 Instagram🌻 Blog🌻 Facebook🌻 Amazon 🌻
I fell in love with Jackson when I met him in Out of Love. I had no idea who this man was. Because let me tell you… Jackson is alllll man. When I found out he was part of a series I devoured that series (Jack & Jill). Jewel wrote about two men that blew me away. How does she do it… create these men that make you pause and take a deep breath. Because of Her is complete stand alone. This book is about Jackson later in life. And it’s also about Frankie. the woman seeking out revenge to those that have harmed her family. When I tell you these two are everything… my heart. I cried like a baby reading about these two. Because like I said… Jewel can write a man. Perfection. This book was perfection. It’s a book I want to hold on to and never let go. So fans of Jack and Jill will love it. And honestly, if you haven’t read this series… this book you will feel and then want to run back and read the series. Because Jackson is that good. I think I’ve rambled enough with this book. But maybe not really. It’s hard when the conclusion of a series ends. Especially one like this. Jewel you did it. Perfection.
“She radiates innocence. His sister always did too…
…Sometimes, innocence is nothing more than a sleeping monster.”
Because of Her absolutely blew me away. This is a story that starts off as loss, grief, and revenge and transforms into one of healing and love. I want to say so many things about this book, but I’m going to keep it simple. This was incredibly well written and I could not get enough of Frankie, Jack, and all the supporting characters. I knew what the story would be overall, but how things go and how things end up weren’t fully what I was expecting. I fell for Frankie so easily and while their story moves rather quickly, it worked for me.
On this being readable standalone. I think it absolutely is. THAT SAID… I had some background on some of the supporting cast and one of the main characters because I have read a couple of the other books in this series. This means, the background of the MC wasn’t new or a surprise to me at all and I got to enjoy reading how characters I’ve previously read are doing. I think maybe this would read a bit differently, but still standalone, if you don’t know as much about him and some of the supporting cast from reading the previous books.
All in all this was a fantastic read and while I know this was the end, end… I would read 100 more stories set in this world. If you like revenge, passion, main characters over the age of 40 and a love story that feels fated, then absolutely pick up Because of Her!
**NOTE** her chapters are first person and his chapters are 3PPOV. This is because the first 3 books in the series (where he is also a main character) are 3PPOV, so it kind of brings that nostalgic tie in to that part of his story I think.
Because of Her by Jewel E. Ann is an absolute gem for romance enthusiasts who crave a touch of mystery and suspense. The age gap between the characters adds an exciting layer of depth to their connection, keeping you hooked from the get-go. Jack, the enigmatic leading man, oozes charisma that will leave you guessing and swooning in equal measure. The playful banter between Frankie and Jack is pure magic, making their chemistry jump off the page.
Emotions run wild in this story, exploring themes of grief, revenge, and the power of redemption. The author has struck gold in balancing suspense with heart-melting romance, keeping you on the edge of your seat. Brace yourself for unexpected twists and turns that will have your heart racing with anticipation for what's next.
“If you carry me to the finish line, I’ll carry you for the rest of our lives.”
What sets this book apart is the refusal to take the easy way out with an abrupt ending. Instead, the story is allowed to unfold naturally, and concluded at the right time after dealing with some pretty heavy themes and emotional dilemmas. This choice not only adds depth to the characters' journeys but also provides a more satisfying and fulfilling reading experience. It's a testament to the author's skill in crafting a narrative that resonates long after the final page is turned.
Jewel E. Ann created a story that feels like a breath of fresh air in the world of romance. I can't wait to go back and read the rest of the Jack & Jill series.
I was so excited to read Because of Her and be back in the Jack and Jill World. Jackson and Frankie’s story was thrilling and did not disappoint. I loved the banter between these two, and the shenanigans they got up to. Their attraction and chemistry was palpable. There were also some emotional and sad moments to the story.
My heart was happy that Jackson got his HEA after enduring so much heartache and strife in his life. The feisty and strong willed Frankie was his perfect match. I adored her.
This can be read as a standalone but I highly recommend reading the series as it is fantastic and all consuming
If you haven’t read the Jack in Jill series, it’s not necessary to enjoy this book, but beware your going to want too after you read Because of Her. Such an enjoyable read, Jewel E Ann never disappoints. Wonderfully written, witty, and sexy. A great way to escape reality.
The Jack and Jill series is undoubtedly author Jewel E. Ann’s best work. Because of Her is the final book in the series. It’s billed as a standalone, but it would be tragic to miss out on the beautiful journey her unforgettable characters take.
I have such a soft spot in my heart for Jackson. He is a nuanced character, and to fully appreciate him you need to understand his past. If you don’t have time to read the entire series, you should at least read Out of Love. It’s the book that lays the groundwork for his dark path in Because of Her.
Frankie is almost numb with grief following the death of her twin brother, sister-in-law, and nephew—all by suicide. She travels to their small town to pack up their house and meets Jack, the intriguing man who lives in the garage next door. Just as she prepares to leave, she finds a letter that sets her on a mission of revenge.
Frankie is smart, strong, and ruthlessly tenacious—a good match for Jack, who is also on a dangerous pursuit and chasing his own demons. I enjoyed the tension between them and their magnetism.
This is a satisfying conclusion to the series, giving Jackson the ending he deserves.
Jackson için istediğim son tamda böyle bir sondu. Frankie onun için yaratılmıştı. Jessica ve Livy'i tekrar okumak çok zevkliydi. Yazardan yine mükemmel bir kitaptı
Frankie Holter's world has suddenly been turned upside down, and she feels like she's lost everything. She's unemployed and suffering the loss of family. She puts her life in Illinois on hold to head to Boone, Kansas to tie up some loose ends. While there she crosses paths with a mysterious, hot stranger whose living in her neighbors garage. He's a sexy, broody guy with a dangerous, dark vibe, but he intrigues her and somehow makes her feel safe. For the first time in a while she feels truly seen, but will a need for revenge get in the way of her happiness when she contemplates seeking justice instead of walking away.
Jackson Knight is on a mission and has a job to do, and it doesn't include a beautiful distraction. He's trying to mind his own business and focus on his own issues, but lately his new neighbor, Frankie is everywhere he turns. It's like the universe keeps pushing them together. She has no boundaries or filter, but she gets to him. He's affected whether he wants to be or not. They both have their demons, but she's on a self destructive path that could destroy her. Will he choose to let her go, or fight for love?
Because of Her by Jewel E. Ann is the sixth book in the Jack & Jill series. It's a neighbors, grumpy/sunshine romance full of emotion, angst, suspense, mystery, grief, revenge, tragedy, secrets, chemistry, fabulous banter and unexpected love. I really loved this story and these characters journey. Frankie was perfect for Jack! <333
This was a one, two punch to the gut. Pretty much the whole enitre book had me feeling like a heavy weight was on my chest, but it was so beautiful. Frankie has lost her twin brother, SIL and nephew all in the course of a few years, and all have taken their own lives. When Frankie comes to clean out their house, she finds so much more than she bargained for hidden there. Her nephew's girlfriend wrote him a letter, and for all intents and purposes, it looks like the ammunition he needed to take his own life. A plan for revenge is hatched, but she doesn't plan on the man who lives next door to try to thwart her at every turn. Jack wants her to leave town. He has a job to do and he can't rest until it is done and he doesn't need her getting in the way. He doesn't like the way she makes him feel with just one look and he definitely doesn't need to get involved with someone who he could possibly put in danger. Frankie is a wildcard and doesn't listen to reason. Jack needs to finish his plan and get out of there, and leave all that he feels for Frankie behind. He has waited so long to be able to get his family back and he won't let anything stop him. Until it does, because of her. I didn't read the Jack and Jill series, and I really wish I had because I think it would have hit harder than it did. I did read Out of Love and I highly suggest that because knowing that back story did help. I know everyone wanted Jackson's perfect ending and I really think he got it here. So deserved.
I don't think I could say enough good things about this book. From the plot, to the characters, and the emotional impact it was all just amazing. There are definitely some heavy triggers though so be mindful of that when reading.
While this is a standalone in the series I highly recommend reading the rest of the series first. You can definitely read this one alone but you may miss some of the emotional connection with a few of the characters that appear in the book.
Because of Her has you feeling every emotion. It will have you laughing, make you angry for some of the characters, and especially the ending had me crying. The way Jewel E. Ann writes just makes you feel everything, and the pacing of the book keeps the suspension there at all times without ever making it feel rushed or sluggish.
The characters are 🤌🤌🤌 Jackson is the broody tortured older man on a mission and Frankie is the, in my opinion, morally grey woman next door who is out for revenge. They truly make a lovely pair. They help each other grow, heal from trauma, and start loving life again. Told in Frankie's pov (first person) and Jackson's pov (third person) you get to see exactly how they both feel and what each of them is up to as things get a bit 👀.
Another fantastic read from this author that absolutely everyone who likes this type of book should read because you won't be disappointed.
This story is riveting! I am overwhelmed with emotion - I haven’t read a book this spectacular in a very long time! So powerful - I just head to read it in one breath! I couldn’t stop reading! I felt like I was in a trance. I missed these characters. I was Ryn’s biggest fan and thought I would most definitely hate the new girl! This couldn’t be further from the truth! I LOVED Frankie🩷🩷🩷 even though she had really grand shoes to fill.
I loved the full circle these characters traveled - the content, the feel of closure, this book embodied. These characters are charming and fierce. Needing to survive a walk down the path no one wants to travel - they stumble upon each other. They explode into each other - a connection so angsty and pulsating with emotion!
I also wondered for a long time why the letters of the title are all lower cases? I think it’s symbolic of the story/the book itself - the best, most precious, most miraculous things in life - are actually quite low-key. Don’t pass these things by. Really SEE them. The whole theme I felt was that Jackson is magnanimous and powerful - even when he finally can go low-key!
The intensity of this book, the drive, and the emotional tension are powerful and shearing!
Don’t get me wrong - Jewel Ann, for sure, rips your soul apart! She always does! With a powerful sword of words , she makes you kneel before the raw pain of life!
BIG TW: Suicide. While it is one topic I REALLY try to avoid in reading, I love her stories IN SPITE of it! Jewel Ann knows how to make the journey worth your pain and all the heartache you endure along the ride!
The feels with this couple were vibrant, deep, and daring. The finality. Full of melancholy, loss yet chilling, quiet, peaceful autumn breeze.
I couldn’t imagine a perfect conclusion to this series! This story has power! This story breathes and cries. It is alive and as human as the stories can be! Thank you for this beautiful closure ❤️ 💕
Chapter 41 🫠😱😱😱😅🤣🤣
Chapter 53 😭😭😭😭😭
**Age-Gap **Grumpy/Sunshine **Close Proximity **Touch Her and Die **Romantic Suspense
“I’m too fucking old for kink. I simply know what I like.”
Brilliant, sinfully good writing. I have been missing this aspect of JEA's writing voice. She is at the top of my "Instant Purchase Authors" list. However, this is the first book in ages that captures her talent for edgy, dark, and witty storytelling. It has inspired me to reread the Jack & Jill series from the start in 2024.
10+++++ stars I’m speechless! Wow this book is ABSOLUTE PERFECTION!
I don't know how to describe what I feel, this story is an explosion of emotions, Jewel E Ann does it again giving us the perfect mix of suspense, passion, love, and pain, it is MIND BLOWING!
Jack and Frankie are such complex characters, they are broken, tortured, their past haunts them, they have come and gone from hell. Jack is the ultimate book boyfriend, his way of loving takes things to new levels, everything feels so intensely. And Frankie is so brave, so stubborn, so sassy, and smart, I love her.
All the scenes are exquisitely narrated, it's pure poetry mixed with romance and passion, the sex scenes are intoxicating, emotions pour from each page, they suffocated my soul until they left me breathless. However, it's not an easy to read, it is raw and gritty and it has sensitive themes that are not for everyone. I can't help but marvel at the author's magical pen, no one writes like Jewel E Ann. I can't get enough of her stories.
Because of Her stole a part of my heart, crushed it and healed it, it is powerful, interesting and original, it is a MASTERPIECE! And the message about the importance of the family is so powerful. It's the end of this series I can't believe it, so many tears, so much love, so much feelings, so much passion.! MY TOP SERIES EVER! UNFORGETTABLE !
Superb! The writing, the characters, the story..just everything. Jewel E Ann brings us back to a world and characters I love and brings a tale packed with so many emotions that will make your heart squeeze! Being with Jackson again, meeting Frankie, learning about her history, her family, her present, her quest! It all adds up to a book that is so compelling that it is impossible to put down and to dismiss from your thoughts at the conclusion! That this talented author can take you back to characters you feel you know and bring their lives up to date, all while telling you a new, gripping story is testament to her skills as a writer. A part of me wanted to reject some of the new facts, but that's impossible. Instead, I embraced them and found something new and, while challenging, beautiful. Again, I am entranced by this woman's writing and imagination. Extraordinary! 💖💖💖💔💖💖💖
Why I thought Jewel would go easy on us for this one is beyond me. Holy hell! Jackson and Frankie fought hard for their “kiss good night” and I loved every minute of it. Jackson Knight/Jude Day deserved the world and it showed up in a rented garage in the form of spitfire Frankie. I didn’t think anyone could top the heartache of Jude and Jessica but Francesca certainly comes close to it and my heart broke for her. Jack and Frankie’s love was hard earned and often painful but they matched energies perfectly. I’ve loved the Jack & Jill series since 2015 so getting to visit with some of my absolute favorite characters was such a treat. Even though Because of Her reads as a stand-alone and can be enjoyed as such, I highly recommend going back to the beginning to fully understand just how far all of these beautiful characters have come.
This is definitely my favorite suspense romance and romance in general of 2023. I just love Jack & Jill world. Because of Her is a standalone in the world of J&J and you don’t need to read the series to get everything about Jackson and Frankie’s love story. However I have a feeling you will absolutely want to. Telling you it’s my absolute favorite series from Jewel’s. Because of Her give us the HEA we desperate wanted for Jackson’s character. I needed this book because after so much pain, tragedy, sorrow and tears my strong Jackson deserved a happy ending. The story had me hooked with the MCs fantastic and demented chemistry. You will laugh and there’ll be a lot of OMGs in your way for sure. The level of suspense was J&J perfect with all the secret and intrigue. The way Jewel plays with your mind while adding the decadence of classical music to the chaos is brilliant. If you love action in your stories you will absolutely have that too. Not to mention the laughter I had because of Frankie, Jackson and also some adorable secondary characters. Because of Her has so much tragedy, pain and dwells in strong topics like suicide, rape and dead. Beware if those are triggers for you. There’s also lots and lots of sexual tension, passion and love. It’s a roller coaster ride for sure and I feel like I need to re read every single one of this books because I can’t get enough of all this characters. So do me a favor grab this book and ask me to re read it with you. I’m so game to dive back.
“You’re the girl I kiss good night.” Can I *please* rewind time and read this book all over again? While reading Out of Love, I knew I wanted more Jackson. When Jewel announced we were getting more of him, I FREAKED. I went into this book blind and I'm so glad I did!! Because of Her was not what I expected, but had a bit of everything. Thank you, Jewel for writing this book 🫶
