I swear I get so frustrated with these Delons men!
Yes I know, you believe you are doing what is best for them
Protecting the woman who holds your heart and your soul
But when push comes to shove?
They show you just how strong they truly are
They can walk just as easily as you

I was waiting to see how Ivan would smooth things over with his "little mermaid"
Amberlyn had been pulled then pushed then pulled back into Ivan's arms but not into his world
Though every time she believed she was at her end and ready to walk away - he went and did something to melt her armor
But the heart can only take so much

Ivan keeps saying he will keep his distance from his "little sirenita", to protect her, until he has dealt with the past that haunts him and has removed any possible dangers that surround his family and his woman...
How's that working out for you Ivan?

I enjoyed watching Ivan squirm.
Amberlyn had been in his world for so long that I think he forgot that there were no guarantees she would stay, that she would keep believing.
But she said goodbye - She walked - and she had backup to protect her
The ladies of the Delons family (And let me tell you they are formidable opponents)
He didn't stand a chance

Another solid addition to the series packed with action, suspense, the sweetest of romance, and lots of feeding the pigs ;)
(yes this has some crimson and retribution scenes)

I loved mafia romances.
I don't know why, but I'm drawn to the violent, brutal and full of alpha ati-heros stories.

I wouldn't survive a second in this world, but one can dream 😉
I think that's why I like books like this one.

All this brutal emotions, killers, psychopaths and alpha ati-heros.
You could say that mafia romances are also anti-romantic, because real romance is definitely something else 😂
The amount of violence and blood that goes on in this book should evoke a different reaction, not swoony and romantic feelings.
I swear there's something very wrong with me because I love the raw violence and the unique and dramatic love story.

And don't forget all the scorching hot and very graphic erotic aspects of this book 🥵 🔥

Elena's mafia romances are definitely not for faint-hearted audience, but if you like this genre like I do, it's a must-read.

The male De Leons really set my teeth on edge with their questionable decision making when it comes to the women they love, and Ivan is no different that's for sure. In fact, he was almost worse in my opinion with the way he treated Amberlyn, and I wanted to choke him out more than once. See, Amberlyn was definitely his person, and he didn't even think about other women, but he kept making decisions for them which hurt her so much throughout this book. His heart was in the right place as she was in danger because of him, but still, this poor girl didn't deserve the ultimate hurt that came from him. One thing I love about this author is her heroines are strong, and they won't put up with things for long, and Amberlyn has finally had more than enough so she cuts him off (and man did I feel her pain like it was my own). On top of this emotional roller coaster ride, there's a ton of suspense with the twists coming in hot as Ivan is eliminating those who would take his little sirenita away from him & the action/violence is intense but cheer worthy LOL! I LOVE this author so much, so now it's time to wait to see what's coming next in her world! HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

Could this be the end of the series? If so Im officially sad. I will admit Ms. Reyes has been tight-lipped about it. This series has sucked me into the mafia cartel world.

If you read Mine then you know that this one is about Thiago's brother Ivan. Also in that book Amberlyn plays a big role as a side character. In this book Ms. Reyes stepped away from the infatuation of I have to be by her 24/7 to I need to walk away till she's safe. I was like oh okay I can get with this only to end up angry. (The crazy thing is Ms. Reyes warned me) I wanted to jump through that book multiple times and throw hands at Ivan. How dare he! Then to top it all off Amberlyn the sweet girl tolerated his ignorance and cruel words. Oh did this book have me go 0 to 100 in no time. One thing I loved the most was the support system Amberlyn had and that all started in Thiagos's book. Yes, they get their happy ending but what a ride it was. I just can't encourage you enough to read this series.

I have been reading Ms. Reyes' stories for a while now! It's been quite some time since I read Mine!

The intensity of this story! I was drawn in. Captivated by the characters.

You might not always like what's going on, but, that's why I read this trope! I love the intensity, the angst, the alpha males, their lady(ies)!

Amberlyn and Ivan deserve an HEA! It's for you to find out if Ms. Reyes give that to them!

I enjoyed the road, no matter the difficulties! Will you?

Ok guys get ready for another hot steamy read with a whole lot of alpha over the top protective.

Iván is intense I liked him from the beginning he’s everything you could think about the de León brothers if you like Thiago your going to love Ivan. He’s very intense cruel when needed to be and loving when needed. At first I was confused as to how amberlyn came to be sought out by the rivals I guess you could say because well they were keeping there relationship hidden or more like Ivan was keeping it a secret he thought by doing so he wouldn’t be bringing drama to her doorstep but like I said I was kinda confused at first as to how the enemy came to put their attention on amberlyn but the lord I read I got it I just felt like she was giving in so quick and forgiving Ivan so fast she should of made him work for her like Luna did Thiago. It came out to me like amberlyn didn’t respect herself enough to put a a stop to Ivan. He constantly put her aside he would allow to be seen in public holding hands or acting like a couple even thoug she stated multiple times she didn’t like it and wanted everything wanted him to acknowledge her he never did and she just kept on taking him back even after she did she was done so that was the only issue for me. Because amberlyn is very strong I liked her even though she could of stood up for herself against Ivan i like her she wasn’t everything Ivan needed in a women she was willing to be with him through everything and she was he just need to put aside his issues. Can’t wait to read more and see if there is going to be more to this series.

This is the story of Ivan and Amberlyn. He has wanted her for as long as he can remember but because of all the danger that surrounds him she has really had to stay away from him and at times she been really terrible about it to him. Maybe the time has come for him to move on and she to do the same. This book is going to be super emotional and is full of so many emotions and killers and the greatest alpha anti-heroes and we cant forget the psychopaths. This is a great mafia romance that I really can't get in to the story to much or I am so afraid I am going to give something away. This is a book and a series that you do not want to miss.

Once again Elena has hit it out of the park with this newest addition to the Beautiful Sinners series. This book was filled with angst and heat. Ivan, due to circumstances that happened in his brother Thiago’s book, feels he has to make certain things right to make up for mistakes he’s made. In doing so, he feels he needs to keep Amberlyn at a distance to keep her safe even though he wants nothing more than to be with her, loving her. Amberlyn feels torn between loving Ivan and feeling as though she’ll never fully have him. As with each of the books in this series, there are foul plays at work with people trying to take down Ivan’s family and use his weaknesses, Amberlyn, against him. I wanted to smack them both at times for their miscommunications. In the end Ivan shows us he’s just like his brother when it comes to the love of his life. There’s nothing he wouldn’t do to protect and love her.

I've been wanting to pick up more of Ms.Reyes's books! After having read Risqué i've been looking forward to diving back into this series! As soon as this next installment was announced i knew i had to pick it up next! I started reading it and got back into the Beautiful Sinner world! I so enjoyed this sixth installment!

Amberlyn and Ivan's journey captured my attention quickly! Going into their story i wasn't sure what all to expect and that got me into it even more! I was glad that i got to jump back into this world!

I really liked that these two had been through things together. I wasn't sure how these two would tackle things. I really liked getting to see how everything would play out for them. From start to finish both Amberlyn and Ivan had me going through so many emotions!

With Own, Ms.Reyes has created such a good mafia read that will pull you in, keep you on your toes, and make you feel so much! I am so looking forward to more from her!

Intel Chicky Reads Romance (Kara Merideth)

An intense, mafia love story from a new to me author full of action and suspense. Women always love the bad boys anti-heroes. The men with dubious reputations but their own moral code. Criminals and gangsters all but I actually found myself simply liking Ivan De Leon…. well for the most part. At times I wanted to slap him stupid but for me there was a layer of fun about him that made me smile even though he was a 100% alpha male. Together with Amberlyn they make a fantastic couple. They have history, knowing each other from childhood and she’s almost as badass as he is. The chemistry between the pair is sizzling even if their story isn’t smooth sailing by any means as Ivan breaks her heart and his own in the process. I would’ve liked it if Amberlyn had made him suffer a bit more – why are the heroines in books so quick to forgive?! No matter, I was sucked in from the first page of this turbulent and angsty tale as they fought their way to their happy ending now and I’m looking forward to reading more from Elena M. Reyes

Ivan believes he has dues to pay and Amberlynn’s safety to secure before he can publicly claim her. But when a direct threat against her comes to light, he believes he must push her away and keep her in the dark to keep her safe.

This was a pretty good read that you won’t want to miss if you’ve been following the series. I’ve read some of the previous books, but not all and I felt a bit lost in the beginning. I also can’t say that reading books with the relationship in progress are my favorite. The story moves quickly once it gets going and is well written. I also enjoyed all the information about Cuban/Miami culture that is included.

Oh, how these sexy De Leon men frustrate me to no end! I just wanted to scream and shout at Ivan and his ability to shut out Amberlyn when he thinks he needs to protect her. UGH – he had me raging and needing to pound the wall a few times. But the man is so fierce, domineering and sexy that he could talk the panties off anyone! I know he made mine combust!

This story kept me completely riveted to my seat with my adrenaline pumping and my heart ready to explode. It was dark, gritty, violent, gruesome, bloody, emotional and damn sexy.

The writing was perfect and invoked all kinds of different emotions from me while reading it. I loved every deliciously dark second of Ivan and Amberlyn’s story and I can not get enough of these dark mafia men.

Love or hate him, Ivan definitely will make you take a side. Is he a devious, secretive, inconsiderate arse or is he desperately trying to put wrongs right before making his intentions known? Amberlyn discovers something that puts her rage and sadness over the top and in very dramatic fashion tells his family to "forget she ever existed". Sissy's Romance Book Review

Wow, what a great read. This is actually the first book I’ve read from this author and while it’s part of the De Leon family, it’s certainly a standalone. I so loved Ivan and Amberlynn. She was a strong kick butt heroine which I so enjoyed. I would highly recommend if you like mafia type romances. I received an advanced reader copy and I’m leaving this review voluntarily.

OWN by Elena M. Reyes is book 6 in the Beautiful Sinner Series. This is the story of Ivan De Leon who has wanted Amberlyn but due to the danger has kept her away....sometimes really harsh. So I do recommend read the previous books to fully enjoy their story but you can go without do so. This book Ivan cannot keep away from Amberlyn after what has happened. I don't do spoilers but this book was so good...just loved this series too. I do hope to read more from this author.

I was so so mad when I started reading this book that I just wanted to slap myself...
Wanna know why? Because I had this book on my kindle since June... June guys and I only read it two months later...
Sometimes I really hate to be a grown-up...
But when things slowed down, I grabbed it and couldn't stop.
Elena M Reyes is this amazing author that can hook you up with just one chapter... Just one.
Have you read any books from her?
Own is the last book from The Beautiful Sinners series.
I advise you to read this series from the beginning. It will make more sense.
This book explores the lives of Ivan and Amberlyn.
Ivan is one of the De Leon brothers.
He's into the mafia world. He's hard around the edges. He's dangerous and a bit infuriating...
When he started a relationship with Amberlyn, he thought if he kept her a secret she would be safe from his world. But guess what? He wasn't able and...
Amberly is this sweet girl, but she's not dumb. She's feisty and knows what she wants. She wants Ivan, but she can't truly have him. Not because of her, but because of him.
How can she still be in love with someone that doesn't reciprocate?
Why... Why did it take me so much time to read this book?
I honestly want to slap myself...
This book was so good, so perfect that I didn't want it to end.
Amazing plot, well written, super engaging, and intense.
Each chapter was even more addictive than the latest and I couldn't stop reading it.
The characters worked perfectly with each other and I just wanted to keep reading and see what was in store for us.
There were parts of the book that I wanted to slap someone silly, jeez, stubborn much?
I honestly don't know if I could handle the unknown, the cold shoulder, the secrets.
But for these characters, it worked.
You could feel the love they shared. It was beautiful.
The first books from this series were intense but this one... Oh boy.
And the hot stuff? Lord have mercy.
Another amazing book Elena. You rock girl and I can't wait for the next book. I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.

Ooooo, this is probably the most angsty romance I’ve read from Elena. We met Ivan and Amberlyn in Thiago’s book (Mine) and I was immediately hoping we’d get their story. But holy crap, I was not expecting this angstfest. I wanted to throat punch Ivan so many times and just hug his little mermaid. I’m so glad Amberlyn had a strong support system and that’s really the most redeeming part of this tumultuous romance.

Ivan, Ivan, Ivan…my dude, ya ticked me off big time. There’s a recurring theme in this world where the men try to protect their women by pushing them away only to realize the women are stronger than they think. Because the women are FIERCE, especially in the De Leons’ family.

My heart ached for Amberlyn. We knew, as the readers, how much Ivan loved her but her poor heart gets a beating so many times in this book. She was so fragile and I really wish she trusted in Ivan a bit more and realized that even though he was a dummy, it was all for her.

Overall, a fantastic addition to this incredibly sexy and addictive world. I’m not sure if we’re getting more but I’ll be here for anything!

OMG!! Wow what an amazing book, the story was written well and the characters were fantastic. This story was full of action, danger, suspense, violence, murder, torture, kidnapping, enemies, drugs, guns, turmoil, struggles, secrets, arguing, pain, threats, twist and turns, rivalry, anger, fear, confusion, betrayal, lies, protection, healing, determination, happiness, courage, passion, lust, romance, love and many more emotions on this rollercoaster ride. Ivan De Leon will do any thing for his family he would deal only with the males and his mum and all the other women will deal with the females that cause trouble which mean no-one crosses the De Leon family. When her best friend was getting married and Amberlyn is in the bridal party and for some reason she does not know she is in danger even though she is a friend not family. Will the De Leon family protect her. This story will keep your adrenalin pumping, I loved how this story captured me from the start.

This is the story of Ivan and Amberlyn, Thiago’s brother and Luna’s best friend. Sad to say this is the last book in the beautiful sinners series, but I can’t wait for Beautiful Heirs to start! This book is all about how Ivan is trying to save Amberlyn and the people of Cuba.

If you haven’t read the other books, stop now and go back, you will want the backstory of each member of the Imperium.

As with Ms. Reyes’ other Beautiful Sinners books, Ivan acts like an idiot, and does things that make Amberlyn think he doesn’t love her, in a misguided attempt to protect her. I can’t help but wonder if dense runs in the De Leon blood? LoL. What I don’t get is how Ivan could watch everything that happened between Thiago and Luna, and still didn’t learn from his brothers mistakes.

Anyways, this book is another winner for Ms. Reyes, and if you haven’t read her books yet, give them a try, they are a lot of fun.

This book was about Ivan and Amberlynn, and it was hot! Ivan is Thiago’s younger brother, a member of the De Leon family, and just as ruthless and dangerous as his brother. However, Ivan’s punishing himself for a mistake that he made years ago that put Thiago in jail, and he can’t be with Amberlynn until he atones for this mistake. But no matter how much he tears himself away, he’s always drawn to Amberlynn and would do anything to protect her.

This book was hot! Ivan and Amberlynn had many sexy times, and I loved how possessive her was of her and how much he wanted to protect her, and swooned every tine he called her bebe. Of course, he should’ve communicated more with her, and trust that she would be there to help him. I loved that he came into his own and will be ruling Cuba with Amberlynn at his side.

*Some graphic violence* I absolutely loved it! Very gripping.
Ivan and Amberlynn are trying to be sly about their relationship but everyone knows. Ivan is keeping Amberlynn in the dark about what he does only to protect her. Amberlynn over heard something and realizes she wasn't anything to Ivan but a piece on the side. Things get out of hand and Amberlynn feels ultimately betrayed and goes off to be alone to think. Ivan needs to find her to make it right but will it be in time?
Elena is such a great writer I love all I've read by her thus far, looking forward to more. I live the darkness she brings out in her stories, it's just the right amount and she did a fantastic job with Ivan and Amberlynn. Highly recommend! A must read!

I have read a little of this authors work but I will definitely be checking out more!

Readers should heed trigger warnings this is a dark mafia romance.

So much to like about this book :

Mafia storyline
Interconnecting characters
Such sizzling chemistry between main characters of Ivan and Amberlyn ( aka Mermaid , Sirenita )
Plot twists I did not see coming

You really feel for both characters especially when Amberlyn overhears something that’s so far from the truth but leaves her questioning everything about Ivan !

I really enjoyed getting to know these two characters and their story!
