More about the books inside:

WARNING TRACK

Colleen Callahan is exactly where she’s always dreamt of being.

Hayes Swindell would prefer hell over the place he ended up.

Fate has other plans, though. If their forbidden chemistry is found out, it could mean the end of both of their careers. Except hurtling so close to the danger zone has never felt more right.

Should they head for disaster together, risking it all, or course-correct and save themselves the ultimate price of heartbreak and scandal?

STEALING HOME

Walker Callahan has loved from afar for as long as he can remember.

Hannah Giraldi never wants to fall in love again.

Can Walker risk his own future and show her how to trust again? Or will the feelings he’s kept hidden for years throw him out of the game before he can even attempt to play?

Is there a way to heal all of the broken parts, or will Hannah go down swinging while attempting one more shot at a happily ever after?

CHECK SWING

Sinclair Callahan is a trust fund baby.

Francesca Kade is an independent goal-getter.

Can he shoulder the responsibility he’s always shrugged off? Or will he balk at the real-life complications and strike out completely?

Will she ever be able to trust that he’ll put both her and his responsibilities before his vices? Or will their differences cost them the game?

CONTROL ARTIST

Dahlia Akana has no idea where she’s going in life.

Garrett Chester has always known exactly what he wants.

When secrets, lies, and a humiliating public scandal rock their world, will she be able to stay with him? Fight for him? Or will her age-old tactic of fleeing erase any shot at a happily ever after?

Can he put the rumors to rest, piece together a career in shambles, and be the hero she needs?

TAGGING UP

All Anna Callahan wants is her independence.

Clark Nyle swore a long time ago he’d never be committed to anyone.

But, when their secret is finally discovered, it sends the already skittish bad boy running for the hills. And although she claimed to want freedom with no strings, Anna can’t help but feel the sharp pull to be with him forever.

When they’re found out, he’s forced to choose between his demons and the disapproval of his closest friends … or her.

Author of romance novels such as Fleeting and Love at First Fight, Carrie Aarons writes books that are just as swoon-worthy as they are sarcastic. Her stories are fueled by vanilla lattes, meloncholy music, and copious amounts of candles.

When she isn't writing, Carrie is busy binging reality TV, having a love/hate relationship with cardio, and trying not to burn dinner. She lives in farm country with her husband, two children and ninety-pound rescue pup.

Warning Track – When Colleen finds herself managing the family baseball team under less than ideal circumstances she is determined to prove she is qualified. Hayes is a professional baseball player who finds himself traded to a team he doesn’t want to play for. They know that a relationship between them could hurt both their careers but if the risk of them being together worth the reward.

Stealing Home - Walker has had feelings for his teammate’s wife even before they were married but now that he knows what she has had to endure he is determined to not only keep her safe but to show her the life they could have together. Hannah has been living a nightmare but she needs to remain focused on her daughters, so she believes the last thing she needs in her life is another man.

Check Swing - Sinclair has made some mistakes in the but he has worked hard to turn his life around and is trying to find his place within the family business. While at spring training he meets Frankie, one of the team’s trainers, and appreciates that she doesn’t know his connection to the team or his past. When she is promoted to the major team their steamy relationship isn’t the only challenge they must face.

Control Artist - Dahlia placed her adventurous lifestyle on hold to be the auntie that her sister needed. There is no denying the skill the Garret brings to the baseball field however it is his off-field activities that are drawing attention. From the moment he meets Dahlia the sparks fly but when things between them are challenged will they realize what they have is worth fighting for?

Tagging Up - Anna knows what she wants and after one steamy encounter with her brother’s best friend Clark she needs to convince him that what they shared wasn’t a mistake but a beginning. Clark wants nothing to do with love or relationships but one night with Anna changes everything and even though he knows that she deserves more than he can ever give her he also can’t stay away.

It is great to have the entire series in one set.

Original review

This book was provided by the author in exchange for an honest review. Thank you Carrie Aarons!

I highly recommend the Callahan Family series if you’re looking for 5 amazing Sports Romance books! Carrie Aarons is a talented author and her Sports Romance books are so well-written and fast-paced. I really enjoyed getting to know the Callahan Family, and falling in love with the characters and their stories. Each book in the series has different tropes, and some of them have some hard topics in them as well. What I also really like about this box set is the extended epilogue. It was nice to read about the characters set 8 years later than the 5 books.

I love Box Sets so much since I'm an impatient person in life so waiting on new books makes me crazy to be honest LOL! Carrie Aarons put this baseball family together & for the bonus round, new content that wasn't out before, and let me tell you, that new content was AMAZING so all authors should be doing it. It's a five book set in a small town with a baseball & family theme. However, not all family is good, nope, in fact the Callahan's are scrambling to fix what their father broke when he was put in prison. There's a ton of emotion in the pages, heat, family drama of course, and twists to have the f-bombs dropping so you really can't ask for anything more to be honest, and again, that bonus content is the delicious icing on the fantastic cake. I'm not going to talk about all the books individually because I went in blind, so I can say that it's the best way to go which is why I don't want to give anything else away. So yeah, just hit those one click buttons as you won't be sorry since I HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

I just LOVED this boxset. Every book was entertaining and enjoyable to read. The stories are very well written, and you really get a good sense of the characters and get so involved with their emotions. I loved how I can go from one story to the next, and already have a sense of the chemistry between the main male and female leads. I thought these books were such a fun read, and a great addition to my library.

I received a free advanced reader copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving my fair and honest review.

⚾️ WARNING TRACK

Warning Track is the first book in a new series by Carrie Aarons. I love Carrie’s books and when she announced a new series i was beyond excited. A baseball family? Yes, please! That’s all I really knew since I don’t read blurbs.

Colleen has been training for this her whole life. She never expected it to happen at the age of twenty-eight while her father was carted off to prison but here she is...the new GM of the Packton Pistons. A baseball team that needed to work on its reputation after the family was disgraced by her father. She knew it would be hard being so young and a woman but now it’s all she has time for. Work. To prove she was made for this. To prove she earned her position. To prove she can bring this team to victory. And after meeting their new-star player, she is even more determined to prove that she is not her father.

Hayes doesn’t want to be there. He was supposed to be in LA with his team. Instead, he was in PA because of crooked Callahan and his illegal trades. He was stuck for one season then he was out. If he didn’t love the sport so much he would just slide by on this team. He hated the Callahans for what he did. They were enemy number one in his book. The problem? Colleen. She was beautiful, smart, professional, and he wanted her bad.

Off-limits: not to be interfered with, considered or spoke of. Yep! That is exactly these two. They don’t want a scandal or a bad reputation. A GM and a ball player would do just that. Then there is love. They just clicked even when they first met. Is love worth it? What will happen at season’s end? Will she prove to everyone including herself that she deserved her title? Will he go back to LA?

I ♥️ Hayes and Colleen!! If I didn’t start this book on a crazy day then I would had finished it in one sitting. I loved their banter and flirting. The sexual build-up. Their overall characters. They are just good people. I can’t wait for the rest of the series. I don’t know who is up next but I have an idea and I am for it. Thank you, Carrie for another amazing book and start to a series. 💞

Quotes:

Her body is liquid sin, flowing with its petite curves and exposed skin, that if I reached out and touched, would most likely slide like warm butter under my fingertips.

“You’re fucking beautiful like this. Hair down, wild and uninhibited.”

Right now, I have no idea what my future holds. But there is a ticking clock counting down in the back of my head, like something out of Peter Pan. Eventually, it’s going to catch up to me, like that goddamn crocodile.

⚾️ STEALING HOME

Stealing Home is the second book in the Callahan Family series. Each can be read as a standalone but I highly recommend reading Warning Track since it will give you a better look into the family. It is also where I started to fall for Walker, and wanted to hug Hannah and punch her husband in the junk.

Six years ago Walker watched the woman he loved walk down the aisle and towards his teammate, Shane. She was always Shane’s but he felt something for Hannah from the moment he met her. That connection only got stronger and stronger through the years from afar. They chatted at parties but never in a flirty way. He knew she didn’t belong to him but to an asshole. He didn’t get it but they had a family together. What he didn’t expect was what happened that night outside of the stadium. The night that changed everything...

Six years ago Hannah married a man she loved. Five years ago he started to show his true colors. He was an abuser. She stayed for her kids. She stayed because she thought she was weak. Now, she was done. She had to be strong for herself and for her kids. She couldn’t go back. It was time to start over but first she had to go through more hell. And by her side was Colleen the owner of the baseball team Shane used to play for. She also found safety with Walker. A man who was so sweet and was there for her one of her worst days. She saw and felt something between them but it was too fast to give her heat to another man. Could she even trust another man after what Shane had put her through? She also didn’t want a knight in shiny armor. She had to do this on her own.

Wow. I think Carrie did an amazing job at writing such a hard subject. I knew this one wasn’t going to be all hearts and rainbows. It made it more raw. Hannah is a badass woman and mother. Walker is a hot sweetheart. I loved them along with the littles. They are adorable and deserve happiness. All of them. I am excited for the next Callahan to find his!

Quotes:

Hannah doesn’t lean in, but she doesn’t back away. Coaxing, ever so slowly, I kiss her with the tenderness of a thousand feathers.

“Walker … you don’t want to date me.” She leans her head back against the seat, sighing as she looks at me.
“You have no idea how false that statement is. I’ve been waiting six years for a date with you.” My voice is quiet, but deadly serious.

“I know I’m not just seeing you, Hannah. Your girls are your world. I want to be a part of that, too. I’m not shy in telling you that I want every part of you, especially the part where you’re this fantastic, strong mother.”

⚾️ CHECK SWING

Check Swing is the third book in the Callahan Family series by Carrie Aarons. You can read as standalone but I highly recommend the series since they are all unique, beautiful, and amazing. I have been waiting for Sin’s story. The bad boy in the family. Just his name is swoon worthy and trouble.

Sinclair is the black sheep of the family. The party boy who can’t keep a job even when they are handed to him. His family ownsthe Packton Pistons, each member works for the team in some capacity. He hit rock bottom a little over a year ago and now it was his time to get in the game of life. One year sober and his father sends him to spring training to be an assistant video production manager. A job he didn’t earn but one he hopes to enjoy and stick with. What he wasn’t planning for was her. A woman who intrigues him from the moment he sees her. And, the perk was that she had no idea who he was. He hated not telling her, it let him be himself though. To not just be a Callahan but Sin. A man who made her laugh, hot and bothered, and have a spring training fling with.

That was what it was only supposed to be. Three months. No strings attached. Frankie didn’t want anything more than that but when he left, she was heartbroken. Now, she was in Packton with a promotion. She was excited about her new job. What she didn’t expect was to see him. And gets the shock of a lifetime when he is a Callahan. He might want to start fresh but can she trust him after lying about who he was? Was it all a lie? His feelings? His troubles? What else was he hiding?

I loved these two! Sin is more than anyone expected. I knew he was something but damn. And Frankie is a badass. She knows what she wants and doesn’t play around. They are both determined and motivated. Together, they are full of passion, love, and laughter. I am so hoping there are more stories in this series! I can see the next book...

Quotes:

Sinclair is trouble, that’s for sure. Just the kind of trouble I want to try several times before I know better.

“I wasn’t aware you were emotionally off-limits. Now my plan to get you to fall in love with me is thwarted.” She snaps her fingers as if to say aw shucks.

Like she said, trying harder is worth a lot. In this instance, it’s worth everything.

⚾️ CONTROL ARTIST

Control Artist is the fourth book in the Callahan Family series by Carrie Aarons. Each can be read as standalone since they are different couples but I highly recommend reading the series since they are tied together. If you have then you have met Dahlia (Hannah’s sister) and Garrett (the rookie).

Dahlia moved to Packton two years to support her sister and nanny her nieces. It was supposed to be temporary but she hasn’t had the pull to move on. Yet. Which is surprising to her since she was a nomad and loved to travel and not settle in one place. Her family doesn’t get it. They just want her to be happy and Hannah doesn’t see that. Dahlia doesn’t see her future tied to one man! Children, and a white picket fence. She doesn’t want that. She wants to be free. Garrett would be perfect for just that. A roll in the hay with the rookie with a Texas drawl except he was just too young and too cocky for her. But he was persistent, and someone who is that cocky about his bedroom skills usually can back them up. Would giving up her resolve be worth it?

Garrett was new to this lifestyle. Money, women, parties, and everything he could ever ask for. He grew up poor and was living it up. He finally made it to the Big Show and after his rookie year, he was living high. Too high. No, not drugs. The lifestyle. He was arrogant, cocky, and stubborn. He knew his game was on top but now his personal life was hitting the tabloids. Baseball was his life. He wouldn’t go back to the trailer park. But what was wrong with having a little fun? And he knew he would have fun with the feisty Dahlia. He wanted her and he wasn’t going to just walk away from a challenge. But once he had a taste, he wanted more and more. To know her. To enjoy her. He might have been the playboy but she was the nomad. Would should take the risk with him to become more than sex buddies? Would the tabloids ruin everything before they could really get started?

This series just keeps getting better and better. I am not sure if there is more to come but I sure hope so! Garrett is cocky yes but he is also sweet, misunderstood, and a hot mess. I loved seeing all of his sides. The shameless flirt. And he met his match with Dahlia. She is a badass who feels a little lost but knows she will find her way. I love them both. Together, they are explosive and a little out of control, and sweet and it’s them. They made me laugh, cry, and get hot and bothered. ♥️

Quotes:

“I just met you, you’re my boss, and you’re complimenting my boobs? I think I found my new best friend.” I laugh.
She winks at me and takes on a valley girl accent. “That’s because I’m like, a cool boss, not a regular boss.”
“And a Mean Girls reference? Marry me.” I wink back at her.

“You feel like dancing, darlin’?” That deep voice is much too close to the sensitive slope of my ear. I don’t move though, and stop my body from swaying, not wanting to give him the upper hand.
“I hate country music.”
“Aw, sweetheart, that’s not what your hips were saying a moment ago.” That tone is pure sex.

His mouth is vicious, searing hot, and skilled beyond his years. He wasn’t lying when he said he could make me come so many times I’d lose my voice, because with the way his tongue is filthily commanding mine, I can feel an orgasm building. From just a kiss.

⚾️ TAGGING UP

Tagging Up is the fifth book in the Callahan Family series by Carrie Aarons. I do believe this is the last book in the series but there is potential for more so here’s hoping! Each book can be read as standalone but I recommend reading the series since they are all unique in their own ways.

Clark was there drowning his sorrows. Anna was there after losing a patient. Two single friends. A little bit too much drinking. Some pent up lust. This book starts out with a bang and I am here for it.

Clark knew it shouldn’t have happened. Anna is his best friend’s little sister. She was off-limits and he was so not a relationship guy. He never went back twice. And he has known Anna since she was only sixteen. She was too young for him even if she was twenty-three now and he was thirty. She deserves someone who could give her more than one night. She was beautiful, sweet, witty, and didn’t let anyone especially him bullshit her. She told it how it was. And now, Anna was telling him that she is a woman who knows what she wants and it’s more sex with him. Without strings. Without telling her cousin, Walker. It’s none of anyone else’s business.

Anna was tired of everyone treating her like a child. A fragile child who can’t make her own decisions. She was a nurse for f*ck’s sake. She might be the baby of the family but she wasn’t some kind of princess. She was a badass who has wanted Clark since she was seventeen years old and if sex was all he was willing to give, she will take it. In the bathroom. In bed. In a plane. Up against the wall. You get my point. But she also wants to show him that he is good enough. He deserves more. But what will happen when feelings latch on?

I have been slowly falling for Clark throughout the series and his story was so worth the wait! This man has layers. He isn’t just the team playboy and fun guy. He is so much more. And Anna, I love her too. Together, they are fire and complications. It’s one hell of a ride!

Quotes:

I will never, not until the day I die, forget the look on his face when he stepped into me and grabbed the back of my neck. It was possessive, so fucking hot, and like he knew exactly how I wanted to be kissed.

My soul must be floating somewhere up above my body, because I swear I just died. Fucking died and went to lust heaven, because holy Christ, Clark Nyle is dirty talking to me.

“You have no idea how good you can be.”

⚾️ OPENING NIGHT

It’s eight years later and Opening Day for the Callahans! I absolutely love this family and their loves and children. It was so awesome catching up with all of them. It’s fun when we get to see them in the future with each getting their own POVs. It also makes me want more! Come on, Carrie…second generation? Pretty please. If not, I will forgive you since you wrote this extra epilogue. ♥️⚾️

*I was sent a copy of this box set in exchange for an honest review*

Beware, this will be your next binge-worthy series!

Warning Track
*This is the first story in the Callahan Family Box Set*

Warning Track introduces us to the Callahan Family of Packton, Pennsylvania and their baseball team the Pistons. It begins with 28 year old Colleen Callahan being prematurely thrust into the role of General Manager after her father Jimmy was charged with felonies for conspiracy and lying to the feds. He not only faces criminal charges, but numerous civil ones stemming from his criminal acts, as well as a pending lifetime ban from the MLB. Colleen has been preparing for the job since age seven by going to games, trainings, & later scouting trips learning from both her grandfather and father how to run the organization. With all the negative media it’s up to Colleen and her Uncle Daniel to not only salvage the organization financially, but rehabilitate its image and rebuild trust within and with the public at large.

Hayes Swindell was one of the dirty trades made by the former GM and he’s less than thrilled to have left LA for Packton, Pennsylvania. He’s furious and unwilling to give any Callahan an inch. His love of the game is the only thing keeping him sane and his emotions in check.

Will Hayes and Colleen be able to see beyond their pain, anger, and misconceptions to find a common ground and make the season a success for not only themselves but for the Pistons organization?

This first book delivered on so many levels. It has all the drama, angst, and a sweet love story while it simultaneously tackled some very real issues like domestic abuse and the sad state of the foster care system. Your heart strings will be pulled and your thoughts provoked.

You won’t regret picking up this quick read and will be salivating for the next installment in the series.

Stealing Home
*This is the second story in the Callahan Family Box Set*

I really liked the second installment in the Callahan Family series. It was so fun to catch up with Colleen and Hayes as well meet or get a deeper glimpse into some of the other family members and their stories.

In this book we take a journey with Walker and Hannah. Their story covers some tough topics including domestic violence/abuse, the mental state of the victim(s), the reality of how our legal system is flawed and doesn’t always protect the victims in these circumstances, and the ugliness that surrounds a criminal trial and divorce proceedings in these cases.

Without going into graphic detail Carrie delivered another heartfelt story in which both our characters had to confront the ugly reality in front of them. Walker must deal with the mounting pressures of familial obligations to the Callahan baseball dynasty, while also trying to help his brother with his addiction, and keep a lid on his growing resentment of those obligations. Simultaneously Walker wants to support Hannah, his former teammates “wife” in whatever capacity she’ll allow after stopping a beating that could’ve been far worse. Walker has hidden deep feelings for Hannah for years (before and during her marriage), but was always respectful. When he noticed her decline and knew things weren’t right he had no proof of abuse until it was almost too late. His internal battle to give her space and also support in the aftermath was like walking on a tight rope.

Hannah finds herself beaten not only physically, but emotionally. After years of abuse she has been broken down and left a shell of her former self. Like a Phoenix she must rise from the ashes of her former life. Her struggle to find her confidence and fight back against her abuser for not only her self but her children was well done.

Carrie took the time to examine how and why abuse victims return to their abuser even when they have every reason to leave-it was eye opening. The cognitive dissonance that can be the reality of these victims is just terrible. The story illustrates how strong you need to be and how having a support system is so crucial and necessary.

Can these two characters find a path to love. Their spark and chemistry is undeniable, but can these two work through all the “baggage” they each carry. Will they be strong enough to both let go of their insecurities, trust in their connection, each other’s intentions and walk the path forward together? I rooted for them, and so will you.

Check Swing
*This is the third story in the Callahan Family Box Set*

I really enjoyed this third installment in the Callahan Family series. I loved getting a deeper glimpse into Sinclair and the obstacles he had to overcome and how he battled back when he hit rock bottom. Sin had to rebuild his life and adjust his mindset and opinion of himself. He needed to accept he is more than the forgotten brother/Black Sheep of the family. Sinclair had to fight his personal demons and addiction, while also repairing the damage caused to his reputation by the careless and reckless actions he made while using.

Francesca swoops in like a refreshing breeze from the surrounding ocean. She is beautiful, smart, tough, determined, and the hardest worker in the room. Frankie is great at what she does-whipping athletes into shape and honing their bodies for maximum performance without causing injuries. This fiercely independent and snarky red-haired beauty has been taking care of herself for a long time. She has her own set of demons and that allows her to be tough, yet compassionate and show empathy for the struggles others face.

This story is truly a winding journey. Sin and Frankie find that true spark, but fear feeding those flames and taking down the walls protecting their fragile hearts. Keeping your soul mate takes work especially when your normal is being a work-in-progress and finding healing your life.

I found this story refreshingly honest about the struggles many face and the steps it takes to triumph over them. It was so nice to catch up with Colleen & Hayes, Walker & Hannah as well meet new characters and/or get a deeper glimpse into some of the other family members.

Control Artist
*This is the fourth story in the Callahan Family Box Set*

In this next installment of the Callahan Family series we get to truly meet Garrett Chester and Dahlia Akana.

Garret is very handsome, driven, and talented beyond measure. This rookie oozes raw natural talent and has the makings to be a baseball legend. He is also known for being difficult and cocky, a huge player, and for being impetuous (he does what he feels like when the notion strikes).

Garrett has only had himself to truly rely on since he was a small child. When you exist solely for yourself with no example of how to live well, to love, and be loved you control what you can. His tragic childhood full of neglect has made him resilient and strong, but also unable to look beyond himself and the right now.

Garrett makes it to the major leagues on talent and grit. He is able to carve out a better future for himself than the lot he was dealt in his rural hometown. When you come from nothing and suddenly have so much, it is easy letting the fame and money take the wheel. Garrett falls into this trap giving him a less than stellar reputation amongst his teammates, the Pistons organization, and makes him tabloid fodder.
Between the media hits, his game slipping, and the realization that he has fallen for Dahlia harder than he ever imagined or thought he could; Garrett feels his control dissolve like quick sand and no matter how hard he tries he can’t seem to regain it.

Will the demons of his past, the follies of new wealth, the impetuousness of youth, and the vapid media machine crush his career before it can really begin?

Dahlia while exotically beautiful, is tough, direct (some would say brash or ballsy), and loving and loyal to those in her circle. She is courageous, has a zest for life, and a wandering spirit. This desire to explore, soak in the culture wherever she lands, and learn from her experiences has taken her across the world. Dahlia works as needed to support her wanderlust, giving her many skills and friends, but has also allowed her to keep them all at arms length. She can just move on, as a means to run away from her trials and the hard questions we often have to ask ourselves. Dahlia has become proficient at pushing her emotions to the side and moving on to the next adventure like nothing ever happened. When her sister needed her Dahlia came to Packton, PA and was there to help Hannah pick up the pieces of her life and begin anew. After two years, Dahlia has found joy in being with her family, caring for her nieces, the bonds of friendship with her girls, a job she enjoys, and the undeniable crazy chemistry with the frustrating but gorgeous rookie Garret Chester.

When it all comes crashing down in a hideously public way, where can Dahlia go? What can Garret do to contain and control this debacle? For Dahlia, her wanderlust seems to be at odds with the life she created in Packton. Her soul feels pulled in opposite directions. As everything implodes Garrett goes from panic to survival mode as the instincts developed as a child take over. The routine of the game and the demands of the sport keep him afloat while inside he has gone numb.

Can these two lost souls find the courage to be honest with themselves and each other? Will they stop running in fear and be truly vulnerable? Can they repair the damage to their lives and their hearts? Will Dahlia follow the advice and wisdom of an ancient Hawaiian proverb-strive to reach the highest. Can she help Garrett do the same?

Tagging Up
*This is the fifth story in the Callahan Family Box Set*

In this conclusion of the Callahan Family series we get to take a journey with Clark and Anna.

Clark Nyle is the stereotypical heartthrob athlete. He is incredibly sexy, hard-working, charming, and a little bit damaged underneath the cocky, playboy persona he projects to the world. Clark is the man every Jersey chaser wants to catch but can’t. While he revels in the attention and is not shy about his many conquests he is not a repeat customer. He doesn’t do relationships, feelings, or any type of emotional intimacy. This aversion was learned in his youth from parents that showed him that love is a destructive force to your mind, body, and soul.

Anna Callahan, the baby in her generation, is a caregiver. She defied the family status quo and became a nurse in lieu of working for/in the Pistons organization. Anna is stunning, but her looks cannot outshine the light and goodness she brings to the world. She is smart, determined, dedicated, sassy, and (as the youngest) has been sheltered by her entire family. She yearns for the freedom to chase her dreams and goals without the guilt trips or dejected looks from her parents. Her caring nature can be a roadblock when faced with hurting or disappointing those she loves as she strives to forge her own path.

Clark and Anna have a long history being in the same orbit. They have been in the same circles as one another since she was 16 and he was new to the league and Pistons organization. Now almost a decade later he is a seasoned player and she is working full time after getting her Master’s degree. It is here where their story truly begins with a chance meeting in the local bar to chase away a hard day. Within a few minutes it is like a veil has been peeled back, their chemistry ignites, and they throw all inhibitions to the wayside. In the aftermath of their moment Clark is torn by loyalty to his chosen family and the team as well as his unexpected burning need for Anna.

Clark and Anna must navigate not only their feelings and growing bond, but how to deal with the many complications their relationship will bring just by being who they are within the Piston’s organization and it’s periphery. Will they let fear and the opinions of others dictate their relationship or will they choose to love and be wholly loved in return?

All this drama and more can be found in this final installment of the Callahan Series.

Opening Day
A Callahan Family Extended Epilogue

It’s 8 years into the future and we get to see where the lovable Callahan family and their friends are and what they’ve been up to. It was wonderful to get a peek into how families have grown, or started, and what adventures have occurred. We see how jobs/places within the Pistons organization and league in general have shifted or evolved.

Each of our beloved couples is in the thick of life and the dealing in various ways with the stresses of married life, work, and parenthood. There is beauty in the mundane, in the change of the seasons in their lives; but the constant that guides and inspires ALL of them is their love for one another. The love of familial ties-biological and chosen-ground them and plant roots that can’t truly be severed.

I love me a good sports romance and this author has created another fantastic read. Colleen has been raised on baseball her whole life, been groomed from a young age to take over her family team so baseball is a part of who she is. She is trying to fight against the stigma her father created with the family name and baseball by doing illegal dealings, etc. It isn’t an easy road for her because of being a woman in a man’s sport and her last name being tainted she has a lot to prove but she is fierce, strong, and believes she is the best at her job. I loved how strong she was even when it would have been easy for her to give up, she preserved and held strong. When she first runs into Hayes, he is resentful and out to hate everyone in the Callahan family especially her, yet she holds her head high and persists. Hayes hasn’t had it easy lately with his baseball career being shifted to a team he hates so he wants to hate Colleen, but he finds himself wanting to know more about her. They fight attraction because it would be unethical and the media would blow up with such a scandal, but attraction can only be fought for so long before chemistry takes a part and turns into more. I loved Hayes, he was the strong silent type with a slight of a cocky edge but mostly he liked keeping his life personal and not showboating it. He was such an amazing sports character that I found loving everything about him just because he was so different from most I have read about and Colleen was such a strong hardworking woman that believed in herself and knew she could do this, but can they keep things a secret or will feelings grow into more and they find it hard to stay in the shadows with their relationship? Will Colleen finally realize her father’s actions do not ever determine who she is, or will she give everything up because things get too hard? Such a great read and loved all the secondary characters as well.

In this book we get Walker’s story and after that ending in Warning attack we know it’s going to be a long and epic journey for him to find his happiness. He is one of the best baseball players in the world, he is the epitome of perfect man, he keeps his reputation clean, likes his privacy, loves his family but baseball is his number one in life. Yet when he saved Hannah from that horrible situation he finds himself wanting more especially if it’s with her, but Hannah comes with a lot of baggage. She is in the middle of trying to leave her husband, file for divorce, protect her kids, and be the best mother she can be while leaving the bad behind. She has a long road ahead of her but she also starts to find herself and help with Walker. They don’t rush into anything because they want to do the right thing and protect her and her kids. I loved Walker a lot and hated that he felt he had to do what was expected of him all the time instead of finding his happiness. I also enjoyed Hannah and hated all the things she had to endure or was constantly questioning the things she had to do but she was strong. I loved this story and the journey it took us on. Can’t wait for Sin’s book!!

Sinclair’s story was such an amazing read. I knew from Walker’s book that Sin’s story would be a tragic yet beautiful read with all he was going through. He was a trust fund baby that threw his whole life into partying, not caring about much, and basically throwing his life away until one day he has a life altering accident that changes his course he is on. A year later he is on the straight and narrow tired of being the black sheep of the family he goes to work for his family’s baseball team trying to prove himself worthy. He broke my heart so much because he thought himself worthless and not worthy but when he meets Frankie sees in her a light that brings him hope. Frankie is out to prove she can make it in a man’s world so starting things with Sin is the last thing she tries to do but the attraction is too strong, and they find themselves getting deeper and deeper in a relationship. Can they make things work or are their pasts always going to haunt them to let them down? Can Sin ever learn that he is more than worthy for all the great things in his life or will he always carry his burdens to be deemed the odd man out? Such a great read that will break and heal your heart all in one. Can’t wait for more!!!

I have loved this series each book is amazing in its own way so I was excited about Garrett’s story. From the previous book about Hannah and Walker’s story we got to see a glimpse of the type of relationship that Garrett and Dahlia would have. They love to rile each other up and get underneath each other’s skin but Dahlia has a wanderlust spirit and loves to run from problems or uncomfortable situations. Garrett is the team’s cocky playboy who is known for his antics inside and out of the bedroom and ballpark, so Dahlia tries to steer clear of him. The more we learn about his past the more I felt so bad for him and seemed to understand him better. I really wanted to love this story, but I found myself not caring that much for Dahlia because it seemed she was so judgmental towards Garrett when she herself hated to be judged. I kind of felt he deserved more than someone who is constantly always looking for an escape exit. Garrett could be a jerk at times while he was working through his feelings and he deserved some of Dahlia’s ire, but he has never had anyone to be there for him before and that’s no excuse for his behavior but maybe deserves some understanding. These two were almost total opposites and somehow it works for them and I did enjoy their banter and steamy times, I just wished I connected more with Dahlia. Hayes inspirational speech for Garrett was a little infuriating at first then it made sense no one knew the real Garrett and he did need to ground himself, but would Dahlia be running away the first chance she gets when things get too real? Will Garrett finally grow up and stand up for himself when he never really was the one doing those things the media loved to label him with? This was another amazing story in this series and even if I didn’t connect with Dahlia, I still respected her tenacity and spunk for life but I completely understood how Garrett felt he was being abandoned by those around him yet again when he needs someone the most to stand by him or with him.

As being the youngest sibling of the Callihan family, Anna has always been looked out for and overly protected by her family. In a way she is sheltered and tired of not being able to live her life on her own terms. Anna tries to step up and find her way in life, craving her independence it will be hard to convince her family that this is something she can do. While I might have gotten aggravated with her parents’ behavior, I always understand their hesitancy to let her go, the fear a parent has when a child gets sick stays with you for a while and in this case, it has clouded their judgment when it came to Anna. Clark is a professional baseball player for the Callihan family, his best friend is Walker who is Anna’s cousin, so things are kind of taboo as they enter this arrangement to be together. Clark came from a rough past with parents who were rarely there for him and never really showed him what a relationship or love was like. He is always afraid that he will end up like his mother, hurting those that care about him, so he treads carefully never letting anyone in too close. Clark and Anna become very close, the attraction and chemistry is off the charts, but can things progress? Will Clark let Anna in and can they be open with her family? They both don’t want to hurt each other or her family, but they can’t seem to stop with each other so what will happen? Will they stand for each other or walk away? I loved this story and I think it and Clark are my absolute favorite of the series. Watching Anna stand up for herself and go after she wants was also amazing and these two were pure perfection!!

Opening Night Epilogue:

In this epilogue we get the whole Callahan clan, their significant others, and children. We see were they are now, what is happening in their lives, and how they are all so close and continuing to grow.I loved seeing the guys and that still give each other hard times but still have their tight bond. This series has been an amazing one, full of ups and downs, twists, turns, and lots of love. I will say that Hayes and Clark are still my top two favorites but they all hold a special place in my heart. I hate that its over but have loved the ride.

Warning Track

A great start to what became one of my favorite series. I know that I started reading these books backwards, but finally reading Colleen's story, was incredible. As a woman she was always overlooked, nobody thought she could step into the role of GM of her family’s baseball team. She has a lot to prove, while resurrecting a team. Falling in love with one of her players is the last thing she needs or wants.
Hayes hates his current team, he was bought in a shady way, so he has no interest on bonding with anyone, he wants to play until his contract expires, then hopefully going back to his old team. What he didn’t plan, was falling for his GM.
It's the worst possible timing for both of them, yet love comes unexpectedly.

I loved how easily they accepted their feelings, but as any secret, it can only last a while. Living in a bubble is amazing facing reality is not. When their character is questioned as their jobs, they'll need to decide what is more important.

Stealing Home

Carrie Aarons writes powerful women, I love the variety of her female character, she’s trying to show us, make us understand it doesn’t matter if you’re a stay at home mom, or have a thriving career, what matters is you loving and accepting yourself. Do not let anyone belittle you, leave behind the people who are trying to drown you, you'll find someone who wants to be your floating line.
Hannah had a rough few years, being married to a controlling and abusive husband, she's finally trying to break free and give her two little girls the childhood they deserve.
Walker was in love with Hannah since he first saw her, respecting her marriage, he silently pinned for what his teammate had, so when the opportunity arises, he'll not make the same mistake of not letting his feelings know.
Leaving an abusive relationship is not easy, writing about it it's hard, especially if you didn't get through it, yet the author as always made her homework and delivered a relatable and beautiful story about healing and second chances at love. I understood Hannah's struggle to accept Walkers love.
I love nothing more than a man loving a woman’s children as his own, some are incapable of loving their own, but once again the author reinforced the saying that while you can't choose the family you are born into, you can choose to make your own.

Check Swing

I love secret /surprise pregnancy books, and this one was the perfect combination of starting over, second chances and accepting parenthood.
Sinclair "Sin" Callahan is one year sober, after almost dying in a car accident, he decided to change his lifestyle. Being rich is a privilege, but also a burden.
Francesca "Frankie" Kade is a coach in a men's world and finally promoted after years of proving herself.
When they meet, working at his family facility, she doesn't know exactly who he is, and it's working in his favor, since he's still being judged by people for his former self.

What started as a hook up, soon becomes a somewhat relationship, but none of them have the courage to bring up feelings, so it ends with spring training.
Only it doesn't, the aftermath is something permanent, someone that will bind them forever, in what capacity, it's left to be seen.
I loved the way this story developed, I related with the characters. It was steamy enough to make you sweat, but the relationship didn't revolve only on the sexual part, which made me enjoy it even more.

Control Artist

Book four in the Callahan Family series is actually not about two Callahan’s. It can be read as a standalone, but Dalhia is Hannah’s sister from Stealing Home, and we met Garrett in Check Swing, where he forms an interesting friendship with Sinclair.
Dalhia is a restless soul, always traveling , until she moved to Packton to help her sister with her daughters, after her divorce. Even after her sister remarried, she's still living in their guest house to help with the girls.
Garrett is the new addition to the Packton based baseball team, owned by the Callahan’s. His throwing arm might be something that comes once in a decade, but his attitude is making sure his chances at becoming the best are dwindling. Couple that, with rumors spread by someone who has it out for him, he needs to take a serious look at his life choices.
How to best describe these two? Hmm... Dalhia is a stubborn woman, trying to do everything on her own, never admitting that sometimes she needs to rely on someone.
Garrett hids behind his arrogance, underneath all that attitude is a lost boy, needing someone to be there for him. Never would he have thought he's going to find that in a woman three years older than him. A woman, that turned him down, until one day when she didn't.
I love the way their story unfolds, as soon as I started reading I couldn't stop reading, wanting to know what's next.
Sad thing was, when they all gathered at Hudson's for girls night, I found myself joining their conversation. Nobody wanted my opinion sadly. Yes, that means these characters wormed themselves into my heart and now I practically want to be part of the group.

Tagging Up

Tagging Up by Carrie Aaron is the last one in the Callahan Family series and a beautiful love story of two beloved characters, who had small cameos in the previous books. Anna Callahan, the baby of the family took a different path, and became a nurse.
Clark's professional career reached it's peak, but in his personal life something seems to be missing lately. One faithful night, they are sitting in our favorite bar, Hudson's , trying to forget their day. Everything and nothing changes that night, Anna is still Clark's best friend little cousin and for him, that friendship is more important than any woman.
Anna is one of my favorite Callahan, despite growing up in a rich and overprotective family, she found her calling and fallowed that path. I also loved how mature and level headed she is. Clark was a pleasant surprise, he is such a great friend, but his self-esteem needs some work and he underestimates his worth as a person. He is thoughtful and loyal, but needs to change his priorities.

Overall series: 5-stars

Carrie Aarons has released a boxed set of the Callahan Family series with all five books and I am so excited for it! I loved all five books so much. Here is what I thought of each book in the series:

Warning Track – Book 1 – 4-stars

Warning Track by Carrie Aarons is the first book in a new series of interconnected couples, the Callahan Family, and I loved it! This enemies to lovers slow burn sports romance was emotional, touching and had all the best feels. For Colleen Callahan, baseball was in her blood. Her family owned and operated the Packton Pistons and she was raised knowing she would one day be the general manager, but after the family name was marred with bad publicity, everyone expected her to fail. She was determined not to do so. I loved Colleen. She was so strong and determined, but also vulnerable.

Hayes Swindell does not want to play for the Pistons. He is counting down the days until he can leave and go back to the team he loves. Hayes was angry and stubborn, but he also showed a caring side to those he cares about. When Hayes and Colleen meet, their connection and chemistry is instant and steamy. But with all the bad history with the team, nothing can happen between them, right? Nothing comes between either of them and their love of baseball, but what if this is meant to be? Their story was heartbreaking, poignant and sweet. I loved it and am excited to read more of this series!

Stealing Home – Bool 2 – 5-stars

After reading Warning Track by Carrie Aarons, the first book in the Callahan series, I could not wait to read Walker and Hannah’s story. I knew it would have all the feels and it did! Stealing Home gives us a friends to lovers story that is emotional and touching and kept me captivated from start to finish.

I loved Walker in the first book, but we get to really know him here. He is protective and caring. We saw that with his cousin in her book, but I just swooned seeing him with Hannah and her daughters. Hannah is trying to find her new normal. After years of abuse and feeling lost, she is trying to be strong for herself and her daughters. Walker is willing to be there for her as a friend, even if he has to hide what he feels for her. I absolutely loved reading Stealing Home by Carrie Aarons. It was heartbreaking and heartfelt. Their journey was not easy, but it was honest, raw and captivating. I loved it and cannot wait to read more of this series!

Check Swing – Book 3 – 4.5-stars

Check Swing by Carrie Aarons gives us Sinclair Callahan’s story and I was beyond excited to read it. We have gotten glimpses of him in the two previous books and know he is the black sheep of the family. Can he turn his life around after the events from the last book? Sin seemed to care about nothing, until he almost lost it all. Now he is walking a fine line to turn his life around when Frankie enters his life. She is just what he needed, but it was supposed to be fling. Imagine his surprise when she comes back into his life full of surprises.

I loved Sin and Frankie’s story so much. When they met they each had their secrets, but when everything changes, can they learn to trust in the other? I loved how much growth we saw in Sin. He was a good guy trying to deal with the bad choices he made in the past. Frankie is strong and determined. Can they find their happily ever after? I just loved their journey so much and highly recommend Check Swing by Carrie Aarons.

Control Artist Book 4 – 4-stars

I absolutely loved reading Control Artist by Carrie Aarons. The fourth book in the Callahan Family gives us the story of Dahlia and Garrett and though it could be read as a standalone, I would suggest reading the series in order. I have enjoyed reading them all and highly recommend them.

Dahlia has always had the wanderlust bug and craves to see the world. She has never seemed to find just the right place for her. Garrett has fought for everything he has. Life has never been easy, but baseball was his dream and way out. Nothing else could ever matter as much. And yet when they meet, their world shifts. Can they be what the other has always been looking for?

I loved the chemistry and connection they shared. They were both a bit broken and lost, but strong and determined. They definitely were not looking for anything serious, much less love, but sometimes love throws you a curveball. I loved their story. It was emotional, angsty and had the best feels.

Tagging Up – Book 5 – 4.5-stars

Tagging Up by Carrie Aarons was an emotional, sweet, and charming forbidden romance that was so steamy and captivating. Anna just wants to live her life. Her family loves her, but they are very over-protective. Clark works for the baseball team owned and run by the majority of her family. She has made her own path, but they still treat her like a child. Clark is the team’s playboy but dedicated to the team and deep down a good guy with so much baggage. I loved them both so much.

Though they have known each other for a while, when they meet while going through some personal issues, suddenly the sparks flew. They started as friends with benefits in a secret relationship because of her family and his best friend. Suddenly what started as fun and easy starts to blur when lines are crossed. Can they have a future together or was it over before it truly started? I loved their story so much and highly recommended it!

I loved this series and highly recommend it.

Happy reading!

This is an amazing boxset, and consists of the following:-

#1 Warning Track
This is the 1st in a new series and is Colleen and Hayes’ journey. Colleen had been groomed from an early age to become the GM of her family’s baseball team, and when circumstances have her to take over sooner rather than later, she has a hard journey I front of her. Everyone expects her to fail in her mission to clear the clubs name and that includes her own family and going forward to make a success of the team again. Hayes has a huge chip on his shoulder at having to join the team, and he is determined to bide his time and get out of town as soon as his 1-year contract is up. From the moment Colleen and Hayes meet the chemistry is off the charts, but will they take a chance on moving from enemies / lovers? This is a well written story which this talented author has done an outstanding job in penning, and is filled with angst, and is a heart-warming and entertaining read.
#2 Stealing Home
This is the 2nd book in this awesome series and is Walker and Hannah’s journey. Walker is a baseball legend who has a lot of responsibilities and pressure on his head from his family, and he has loved Hannah for years, but she is married to one of his teammates. Hannah is married to an abusive Shane, and when things go too far, she ends up with Walker taking her to the hospital, and she knows that for the sake of her two little girls she needs to escape this situation before it is too late, and she needs to find a job. This is a well written story which is an emotional roller coaster journey throughout, and is raw, gritty, heartwrenching, and has secrets, humour, and is an all-consuming riveting and addictive page turner.
Be aware that the sensitive topic may contain triggers for some readers!
#3 Check Swing
This is the 3rd book in this amazing series and is Sinclair/Sin and Frankie’s journey. Sin is the bad boy partying black sheep of his family, and when an accident nearly costs him his life, he knows he must get his life back on track and rebuild his life. Sin is sent to Florida to work in the marketing department of his family-owned baseball team during the spring training. Frankie is the only female strength and conditioning coach in the league of a male dominated world. Sin and Frankie are instantly drawn to each other and the chemistry between them is intense, but after the 3-months are up Sin leaves without a word. When they reconnect 5-months later with a secret, how will this effect Sin? This is a well written flawless story which is a wonderful 2nd chance romance, which is entertaining, has realistic and engaging characters, and with secrets, betrayal, lies, love, and overcoming and healing from addiction.
#4 Control Artist
This is the 4th book in this amazing series and is Garrett and Dahlia’s story. Garrett is the small towns new rookie pitcher for their baseball team, and my heart broke for the trauma he has due to his childhood, and even though he is on a path of self-destruction, this cocky bad boy, just needs to be loved and have his own family. Dahlia is a feisty free spirit, who is a tad lost, and her wanderlust spirit has diminished slightly as she is nanny for her nieces and was there for her sister when she needed her. Garrett has set his sights on Dahlia, but the more she rejects his pursuit, the more determined he is to convince her to give him a chance. These two are well matched and they complement each other perfectly. This is a beautifully written story which is emotionally charged, and with secrets, lies, emotions, passion, and love.
#5 Tagging Up
This is the 5th book in this awesome series and is Clarke and Anna’s story. Anna is strong and feisty, and she is the youngest in an overprotective family, and all she wants is her independence, as she feels that she is being smothered. Clarke is Anna’s older cousins’ best friend, and he has the reputation as a notorious playboy, who is steering clear of relationships and commitments. When Clarke joins the family team, the sparks fly between them, and when they spend a night together, they both know it is not enough, so they start a secret affair, which is sure to have consequences. What will happen when Anna’s family find out about the secret, and will Clarke stick around to face the music? This is a well written story which is sweet, heartfelt, heartwarming, and emotional, with secrets, family, drama, and love, which leads to a steamy all-consuming read.
I look forward to reading more from this talented author whose work I highly recommend.

5 stars! The Callahan Family is a fantastic sports romance series, and it's so convenient to have them all in one box set.

I'm a sucker for sports romance, especially baseball (it's my favorite sport of them all). So this series was right up my wheelhouse and I was excited to dive in.

Warning Track - 5 stars
As a woman in sports myself, I know the challenges, the hurdles, the obstacles that one faces. So I related to Colleen and this book so strongly. However, I didn't have a Hayes to help fight for me! The journey that Hayes and Colleen go on together is bumpy, but it makes them grow closer. It was a slow, slow burn, which usually has me skipping ahead in frustration, but it was so well done that I was engrossed in every single word. You'll find yourself cheering them on to find their HEA, I'm sure of it!

Stealing Home - 4 stars
Walker and Hannah - oh boy. What a sensitive subject to write about, and Carrie handled it with grace. Walker has been in love with Hannah for as long as he has known her, but he was respective of her relationship with his teammate - whom she was married to with kids. Now, this isn't a cheating story. Hannah's husband is actually incredibly abusive, and once these secrets are laid bare, all bets are off. While I loved Walker in book 1, I didn't connect with him in this book. I think Hannah needed a friend and a shoulder, not pressure for a relationship so fast. However, I loved that Walker wouldn't give up. While Hannah wanted to be able to stand on her own two feet without needing a man, Walker showed her that they could be great together without her "needing" him. This was an emotional one, but well worth it.

Check Swing - 5 stars
This is the third novel in the series and my favorite of them all! Sinclair has been sober for a year and as a trust fund baby, has had everything handed to him his entire life. He's trying to find himself and figure out what he wants to do. While his next opportunity is again handed to him, he wants to prove he truly deserves it. Sinclair is another woman in sports (woot woot!) and is constantly trying to prove she's as good as (if not better) than her male colleagues. They meet and sparks fly (instalove) but neither want nor are ready for more. Fate intervenes and they meet again, but it's not smooth sailing. There are a lot of hurdles and obstacles, as is Carrie's M.O., and they have to fight for their relationship and each other. I thought the character development in this one was above and beyond, and it was my favorite of the series!

Control Artist - 4.5 stars
I LOVE Garrett. While his cockiness could've been a turnoff, it just fit him so well. He had so much swagger. He grew up rough, very rough, and thus became the cocky bad boy to protect himself. But deep down, he just wants a true connection - love and family. He immediately sees that in Dahlia and boy do they have some serious sparks. The more she rejects him, the more he wants her. It's a game of cat and mouse, and it isn't long until the cat wins. These two are well-matched, and I loved them together - I just am not a fan of age gaps. Overall though, I highly recommend you read this one and continue the series!

Tagging Up - 4.5 stars
We've seen Clark throughout the series and it's time for him to be front and center in the final book of the series. Anne Callahan just wants independence from her famous family. She wants to be a nurse and shirks the family business of baseball. But, she's surrounded by baseball and baseball players because of her family, and that's how she crosses paths with Clark. He's a star pitcher, but she's young and just trying to figure out her life. Their friendship later turns into sparks and they both have feelings for the other. But if we've learned anything throughout this series, it's that no relationship is easy. They have their ups and downs, including many opinions from friends and family. However, that doesn't stop them from going after their HEA. They were good for each other and their relationship felt so real and so genuine.

The best part of this box set, even if you've already read all five books, is the epilogue! I loved seeing what everyone was up to years later, instead of glimpses we saw throughout the series. It was amazing seeing how the relationship progressed, and I hope this isn't the end of the Callahan Family.

As always, YMMV, but I highly recommend this box set!

*Received ARC for honest review

3.5 Stars

This is a series revolving around the Callahan Family and baseball. There are five novels to this series and there are definitely some that I like more than others, but overall, I think the series was pretty okay. It didn’t’ blow me away but it still kept me pretty invested.

The first novel is about Colleen Callahan and Hayes Swindell. Colleen is someone who, throughout the series, represents a strong female who does what needs to be done despite others expecting her to fail. Her first run-in with Hayes was not so great and he was clearly not shy expressing exactly how much he despises her family (the Callahans) at the moment. Through everything though, Hayes starts to see more of Colleen beyond just her family name. I feel like this is a classic enemy-to-loves and you find yourself wanting more from these two. This was a great start for the series.

The second novel is about Walker Callahan: best friend to Colleen, son of the Piston’s owner and one of Piston’s best player. He is also such a charmer. This one was my favorite out of the whole series. There’s just something about Walker that I could not get enough of. His story revolves around Hannah, someone who has been in an abusive relationship for quite some time. When things turn for worse, it’s the last straw for Hannah and she finally says enough. After separating from her husband, one of Walker’s teammates, she sets out to make something of her life for herself and her daughters. Every time Walker is in the picture, you can expect something heartwarming. He is charismatic and has a very attractive personality. I absolutely loved watching him pursue Hannah. He and Hannah deserve every bit of happiness. They are so perfect for each other. I think I can read another novel about them. That would be something to look forward.

The third novel is about Sinclair, Walker’s younger brother. He is known as a party animal and heavy drinker. You’ll never find him far from alcohol or from the party scene. In this novel, he grows up after almost dying and believes that it’s finally time to do something about his life. This takes him on a journey of meeting his match. Frankie works for the Pistons Organization and doesn’t know that Sinclair is a Callahan, in which he glorifies it. Their encounter and progress in relationship is quick but it’s an experience that humbles Sinclair. I was actually hesitant to dive into Sinclair’s story just because of how he was in the other novels but he’s grown on me and I find it endearing.

The fourth novel is about Garrett Chester, a rising rookie, and Dahlia Akana, Hannah’s sister. Garrett is your typical playboy running his money everywhere because of all the things he never had growing up. He may seem off-putting at first glance but he’s kind of like Sinclair. The more you get to know him, the more you find him charming. This is the one novel though that I wasn’t sure if I was satisfied with the ending. It was like a piece of his story was taken away and never given back. May be just me but while I enjoyed reading about Garrett, I also wished for something else. Dahlia on the other hand, I won’t lie but I found her annoying sometimes. And I don’t usually gravitate towards older women/younger man relationships but this story, you never really felt that.

The fifth novel is about Clark Nyle and Anna Callahan. This one was actually my least favorite. It wasn’t that I didn’t like Clark or Anna but there was something about the story that didn’t appeal to me as much as it did the others. Although I would say, the deep friendship and brotherhood Clark has with his best friend, Walker almost broke me when they argued. Literally, I wanted to reach out and save them from saying regretful things to each other. Haha. This story also seems like it was the most frustrating with the other characters, the situation, and everything all around. I got through it but I felt the story needed a little something more the second half.

Overall, Walker and Hannah’s story is the one I enjoyed the most. I ate up the page every time they made an appearance in another couple’s novel. Looooved them. There’s something about these family series that is so satisfying and entertaining seeing each story unfold one by one. The epilogues at the end of the whole series were a nice treat too.

(The author provided this book in exchange for an honest review. Thank you Carrie Aarons!)

People here know I've been a huge sports romance fan for a while now. I luckily stumbled upon Aarons' books in 2020 and fell in love with the writing. I'm definitely a character over plot reader; give me a sympathetic set of protagonists and minor characters, and I'm happy. And Aarons really has this figured out. The Callahan Family belongs to one of my favourite series because of the loveable characters. They seem human and relatable, and there's no chance you can't root for them.

I read book 1, "Warning Track" back in 2020, and I think it's still up top after a re-read. Aarons has such an engaging writing style (that goes for all of her books) that you don't want to put it down. With Hayes and Colleen, the reader gets to meet two fantastic characters. I loved their chemistry and how much both of them love baseball. I have read quite a few sports romances, but those two definitely make it to the favourites list. Colleen is such a great female lead, too. I loved her determination, wanting to prove that she is good at what she is doing.

With "Stealing Home" (book 2), this doesn't die down. I loved the dual perspective since Walker and Hannah are both so interesting characters. After getting a little teaser in "Warning Track ", I knew this wouldn't be an easy ride. I should give a trigger warning for mentioning of abuse; Aarons handled this sensitive topic with so much care while writing about it in a realistic way. Hannah's feelings have been portrayed so believably, the anger and terror, her vulnerability. Her character growth throughout this book is probably what I liked most.

"Check Swing" (book 3) had me from the first page. The storyline is so thoughtfully planned out, entertaining and full of surprises. Aarons did a great job capturing real-life struggles, again creating enjoyable and human characters you can't get enough of. I loved how readers got a deeper glimpse into what Sinclair went through - the obstacles he had to overcome. Francesca is this smart, strong, compassionate, and hard-working person. Also dealing with her own demons, she can show empathy for what struggles others might face. Which is why I think she's such a brilliant character. Honestly, it's competing for best book of the series with no. 1. Sin and Frankie's story is refreshingly honest. It looks at many people's struggles and what it really takes to overcome them.

I read book 4, "Control Artist", as part of this box set. I don't know why I didn't pick it up for its original release because I really enjoyed it. Every time I've mentioned these engaging characters, this doesn't change with Garrett and Daliah. In the beginning, they really are like water and oil. It was such a great fit, reading about them bouncing off one another. One would consider the male lead a bit cocky and over-confident, and it was everything to read how Daliah put him in his place. And don't get me started on the sweet, sweet slow-burn romance.

In "Tagging Up" (book 5), we meet Anna, who has had a hard time as the youngest sibling. She's the only family member who's not partaking in the baseball business. She's feisty and confident and fights for what she believes in. Yet, she cares about her family, which puts her in a difficult situation, not trying to hurt them by making her own choices. And Clark, where do I start. After reading "Control Artist", I was already intrigued and even more excited about this book. He's a character with so many layers other than being handsome and charming. The fact that Clark's so passionate about the sport, pouring his all into it and just generally being awesome, definitely puts him high on my favourite male leads list. And as the author herself mentioned, this one would be a scorcher.

I've said it before, and I'll repeat it: This series is a must-read for all sports romance lovers who enjoy a sprinkle of family drama and small-town vibes. If you love yourself some well-designed characters whom you can root for, this is it. You can even read the books as standalones, but why would you when you can get the full experience reading all five of them.

Warning Track –

This book is a forbidden romance, between two people that have off the charts chemistry. The build-up to Colleen and Hayes was EPIC, and their back and forth had me furiously turning the pages to find out what was going to happen next between the two. Colleen and Hayes are explosive together, but even separately they were two amazing characters.

This book is truly an amazing story and it’s full of romance, witty banter, and a lot of baseball. I love sports, and baseball is one of my favorite sports, so this was just an added element that made this story that much more loveable for me! I’m excited to see what happens next for the Callahan family as this series continues!!

Stealing Home –

I thought there was something special between Walker and Hannah in the first book in this series, so when Carrie announced that ‘Stealing Home’ would be Walker’s story I was super stoked! She fully delivered for Walker as well as Hannah. I love that we got a more in depth look at how abuse affects different people, and how she didn’t shy away from the hard stuff. And I also really love that Hannah wants to do things on her own. She could have jumped right from her abusive ex Shane to Walker, but she wanted to be independent and prove that she could make it on her own. She is such a strong and powerful woman even when she feels like she isn’t.

And Walker is the sweetest man EVER. I loved Hayes, but I think Walker is my favorite Carrie Aarons hero to date! He’s patient and kind, and just wants to do right not only by Hannah but by her girls as well. I love that he isn’t pushy, even though he wants to be. He’s just an all-around good guy, even when he screws up, you still can’t help but love him, and sympathize with why he made the choices he made. These two were made for each other!

Check Swing –

Hands down Sinclair Callahan is my favorite of the Callahan family. Absolutely in love with him! Reading about him in Walker’s book I had a feeling that he was going to be my favorite!

Sinclair has come a very long way from his drinking and partying days. I loved everything about Sinclair, and how he grew as a person. He’s stronger than he gives himself credit for, and is one of the most loveable hero’s I’ve read.

As for Frankie, she’s sassy and independent and I love her for it. She doesn’t take crap from anybody, and when she found out who Sinclair really was, I loved that she stood her ground and didn’t immediately let him charm his way back into her life. They both have been through so much, and watching them both thrive in the face of adversity is admirable.

Control Artist –

The chemistry between Dahlia and Garrett was off the charts, but their push and pull was in a league of its own. I loved that Dahlia wasn’t so easily swayed to jump into bed with Garret. She’s strong and feisty, and she wasn’t afraid to stand her ground. And Garrett, it was nice to see him have to work for a woman, not just smirk and she falls at his feet. He’s cocky and self-assured on the outside, but the vulnerable side of him was even more attractive. They seem like complete opposites, but the two of them together are explosive.

Tagging Up –

I adore Clark and to see him finally realizing he’s more than his playboy ways…. swoon worthy!!! He’s cocky and self-assured, but underneath that, he’s hurting and just needs someone to show him unconditional love.

As for Anna, she’s a spitfire in the best way. I couldn’t get enough of her putting herself out there and standing up for herself against her family and friends. I loved that she said what she wanted, and she didn’t sugar coat it for anybody.

Opening Day –

I absolutely loved this quick catch up with the Callahan Family and their crews. So much has changed but yet their bond is stronger than ever. I adored every book in this series, and getting to catch up with all of them made my heart so full. This was just what I needed and a perfect bonus epilogue!

Warning Track – Faced with an uphill climb of taking over as General Manager of the Piston's while her father sits in a jail cell, Colleen feels the pressure of not only her father's crimes but also the fact that she is a female in a man's world. What makes it even worse is that the last player her father dealt a wrong deal is now the one player that can make or break the entire season. When the sparks fly between Colleen and Hayes will it be the beginning of a HEA or the last straw that breaks the team open to more criticism and more hatred? Nothing is better than baseball and love, and throughout the entire book not only does the reader get great characters, an underlying plot that came out of nowhere and just enough of the day to day baseball to feel like they are part of the team, but they also get a heartwarming story of knowing that the heart wants what the heart wants and nothing should get in the way.
Stealing Home – From the very beginning Walker Callahan has been in love with Hannah - unfortunately Hannah is married to one of his teammates. But from afar, Walker has watched the light dim in Hannah's eyes and the abuse from her husband is to blame. When the abuse escalates it leaves Hannah broken and alone. Will Walker be the one person she can lean on for comfort and strength and will that lead him to be friend zoned or so much more? Although this is a very touchy and emotional subject, Carrie Aarons writes it with such dignity and appreciation for the abused that the reader cannot help but cheer her on from the sidelines. Completely heartwarming, this proves the broken can rise and flourish. 5 stars are not enough.
Check Swing – With a one year sobriety chip in his pocket Sinclair Callahan needs to prove he can live up to his name within the family dynasty. A chance meeting with one a beautiful woman in a bar and having her not know who he is just adds to the instant connection Sin feels. But once spring training is over, Sin decides it is best to leave without strings. Which only comes back to haunt him when Frankie is given a promotion to the big league - where his identity is not the only secret revealed. Can the two who built their relationship on lies really come together? Or will Sin's not so flattering history make or break the relationship? Filled with characters the reader cannot help but route for and a storyline that will leave you with a smile on your face, Carrie Aarons once again brings the best of baseball and the best in family together for a fantastic read.
Control Artist – Getting to the major leagues has been a dream for Garrett, not only to be financially stable but to keep his life growing up in the trailer park in Texas in the rear view mirror. So when he crosses paths with Dahlia at a teammate’s picnic, he finds himself at a crossroads. Can he put the womanizing and flashiness aside and become the man for her? Or will things beyond his control make it so that he not only losses the girl but the career as well? With characters the reader cannot help but fall in love with from the opening pages this was a fantastic read. I found myself on numerous occasions wanting to grab Garrett and smack him upside the head while at the same time needing to give him a hug. Simply put, this was the best story in the Callahan Family series!! Bravo Carrie Aarons!! Bravo!!
Tagging Up – With a penchant for running through woman like water, Clark is at a turning point when one night of passion leads to so much more with Anna Callahan. The problem is that she happens to be a relative of his best friend and owner of the team. Can he cross that boundary with the baggage he has from his past? Or will the two find themselves keeping their relationship under the radar in order to stay together? Completely filled with emotions and connections that just leap off the page. Nothing is better than figuring out that your past will not define our future. The perfect combination of romance and baseball.

Warning Track

Colleen Callahan has always dreamed of becoming the General Manager of the Packton Pistons. What she did not dream of was the scandal that would force her father out of the position and the bad publicity that would follow her family run team. And least of all did she suspect to fall in love with the team’s new player, Hayes Swindell. Hayes is a little angry over how he got traded to the Pistons. He doesn’t trust anyone, especially Colleen, but the more time he spends with her and sees what she plans to do with the team he starts to warm up to her. Hayes and Colleen had a really beautiful road to falling in love and it was really sweet how much they truly cared for each other.

Stealing Home

Walker is Colleen’s cousin and he plays for the Pistons. Hannah is the wife of one of the other players for the team who we previously witnessed being abused by her husband. Walker has been waiting on the sidelines for Hannah to want him the way that he wants her, and now that she is going through some major life changes, he wants to be there to support her and help her heal. Hannah is used to suffering in her marriage, so to have Walker be genuinely sweet and kind she just doesn’t know how this is real. Carrie did a beautiful job with their love story, the slow burn made it more realistic considering Hannah is coming out of an awful marriage and still having to battle him. Walker was incredibly sweet in the way he cared for and protected Hannah.

Check Swing

We have seen a lot of Sin throughout this series but especially in the previous book in which we saw Sin crashing his car and ending up in a coma. Now a year later he is trying to take life more seriously and actually hold down a job. His job as an Assistant Video Production Manager takes him to Florida for spring training. Here he meets Frankie, the head of strength and conditioning. Frankie and Sin start off as fling but end up as so much more. It was packed full of steam, laughs and all the emotions. It was so beautiful to watch Frankie and Sin learn to express their feelings, something they were trained to keep to themselves. When Spring Training is over and Sin heads back to PA, will they continue their relationship or will they be too afraid to admit what they want?

Control Artist

Garrett comes on pretty strong when it comes to Dahlia and at first she resists. Garrett has been pursuing Dahlia since he met her, but Dahlia has been turning him down (very harshly). Dahlia has seen the awful sides of marriage thanks to Hannah and her ex husband and has decided she wants no part of that. Eventually Dahlia gives in to Garrett’s advances and their chemistry is as explosive as Garrett thought it would be. Dahlia and Garrett understood each other in ways they didn’t expect, they seemed to be a perfect match. Garrett was having a bunch of negative articles written about him. Who is behind all of it? How will it affect his relationship with Dahlia? I for sure was very surprised at the way this one ended!

Tagging Up

Clark and Anna had that kind of chemistry that they couldn’t ignore. As many times as they told each other that they couldn’t keep this going, they still couldn’t stay away from each other. While their age difference was mentioned, it was barely felt because they were the same age emotionally. Clark might have been the biggest playboy, but when it came to Anna, he fell hard and fast despite knowing that she was forbidden because she was his best friend's cousin. I really felt bad for Clark, he didn’t have any supportive figure in his life. His only person is his best friend Walker, and when Walker finds out about Clark and Anna, will he still be that person to Clark?

The bonus material at the end brought us quite a few years into the future. I loved seeing where all these family members ended up, what has changed and what is still the same. I think it was done perfectly and did each character justice.

Get the entire Callahan Family Series by Carrie Aarons in one box set -- and an awesome bonus epilogue set eight years later!

Warning Track:
You can't go wrong with this awesome enemies-to-lovers romance between the Pistons new GM, Colleen, and one of her players, Hayes. In the wake of her father's arrest, Colleen is trying to make the most out of an awful situation while keeping her head high as the GM of a baseball team that has been shocked by a public scandal. Hayes is one of the players affected by her father's corrupt values and blackmail schemes, and he wants nothing more than to play the season he's contracted for and then get the hell out of there. So of course, Hayes and Colleen will fall in love. And I fell in love with them!

Stealing Home
Despite the underlying story of domestic abuse and all that Hannah goes through with Shane's manipulations, this is a wonderful story of strength, resilience, respect and hope. Walker is a swoony hero, who shows Hannah an incredible amount of respect from the very start. And even though Hannah sees herself as weak, she is incredibly strong and comes out of a horrible situation on top, with grit and determination. These two are magic together, and Walker is such a great father figure in the lives of her daughters. I found this story incredibly moving, and I was so thrilled to see Hannah and Walker get the HEA that they both deserved!

Check Swing
Sinclair's story is EVERYTHING! I didn't like him much in the first two books. I chalked him up as an arrogant, lazy, trust fund kid who was refusing to grow up. Which is exactly what Carrie wanted readers to think, I'm sure! Because when Sinclair Callahan fell, he fell HARD. And his climb out of the ashes was wonderful! And Frankie... I really loved her fire and gumption. She is a strong, independent female, so of course she felt totally betrayed when Sinclair's true identity comes to light.

Control Artist
Starting up a no-strings fling with the Pistons’ cocky rookie, Garrett, is the last thing Dahlia wanted to do. He’s a few years younger, a player, prone to media scandal, and she although she desperately tries to stay away, she just can’t ignore the pull between them. For Garrett, Dahlia is a breath of fresh air. She challenges him, doesn’t Dawn all over him, and made him work for a shot with her. The more time they spend together, the more Garrett and Dahlia begin to think that the other is what they’ve been missing in their life. But when Dahlia finds herself drawn into Garrett’s latest scandal, will it being them closer together or break them apart for good?

Tagging Up
Anna is the youngest Callahan cousin. She's led a very sheltered life as a result but is ready to strike out on her own. She's been around hotshot pitcher Clark for years, and a night at the local bar where they are both drinking away their pain leads to a steamy quickie in his sports car. And then another quickie at a party. And then another... Being friends with benefits suits them both well since she is focused on her career as a nurse and he is a commitaphobe with major emotional baggage stemming from a difficult childhood. But Anna brings out a sweet, vulnerable side to this playboy, and it's so amazing to see the two of them together. But when feelings get involved and their relationship is exposed, Clark goes running rather than face the music.

The Extended Epilogue was an incredible complement all of these books and I loved getting to catch up with each of these couples and see where the next generation of Callahans is headed. Please, please, please do a spinoff NextGen series, Carrie!

I received a complimentary copy and voluntarily left a review.

Title: The Callahan Family Boxset
Author: Carrie Aarons

Warning Track
Hero/Heroine: Hayes & Colleen
Tropes: Forbidden Romance/Sports Romance/Small Town
TW/CW: Toxic familial relationships, gaslighting, verbal abuse, domestic abuse

This book was sexy, sweet but at the same time made me feel so angry. It highlighted the situation that many women face on the daily - choose between a successful career or love. Who the fuck deemed it impossible for us to have both? Colleen, badass that she is, has taken on an impossible job and made it her own, despite everyone’s objections and scorn. And Hayes, the delightful (if grumpy) baseball star, is in her corner, and I was here for it. He never stepped on her toes or tried to fight her battles, and I loved that about him ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Stealing Home
Hero/Heroine: Walker & Hannah
Tropes: Forbidden Love/He Falls First
TW/CW: Domestic abuse, mentions of alcoholism,

Heartbreaking story about one woman’s battle against her abusive husband, and the one person who only wants to make her happy
Walker and Hannah were seriously sweet; both dealing with their own personal issues, they continue to fight against their feelings for one another. Hannah was a great character, I loved how, when needed, she could be strong and stand up for what she wanted. Walker, fighting against his fathers expectations, wants nothing more than to take Hannah’s troubles away, but they both know this is a battle she has to fight on her own. Very enjoyable story ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Check Swing
Hero/Heroine: Sinclair & Frankie
Tropes: Workplace Romance/Surprise Pregnancy
TW/CW: Pregnancy, mentions of an eating disorder, mentions of alcoholism,

I really struggled to connect to Sinclair in the previous books, however in Check Swing he completely changed my opinion of him. When he meets Frankie, strong, sassy and takes no crap, he finds himself drawn to her. They’ve both battled addictions throughout their life, so in each other they found a kindred spirit. I loved witnessing these two slowly grow as a couple, even if fear and lack of self belief sometimes held them back.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Control Artist
Hero/Heroine: Garrett & Dahlia
Tropes: Reverse Age Gap/Workplace Romance

I have to say, much like Sinclair, it took me quite a while to warm up to Garrett. I found him to be a bit too arrogant and rude. Dahlia was the perfect match for him, however, at times, I found her quite difficult to warm to. I still enjoyed the story and loved the growth arc of both characters, with Garrett tackling some issues from his childhood.
⭐️⭐️⭐️✨

Tagging Up
Hero/Heroine: Clark & Anna
Tropes: Age Gap
TW/CW: Toxic familial relationships, mention of childhood illness

This was a great story to round off this collection; Clark and Anna were a great couple and I loved how Anna wasn’t scared to go after what she wanted when it came to Clark. Clark, for all of his confident swagger, was so worried about repeating his parents mistakes that he vowed never to fall in love. Boy did he get the shock of his life. Steamy, sweet and humour filled, I really enjoyed this story.

thanks to the author for sending me a copy of this boxset in exchange for an honest review.

warning track :
this followed the story of colleen and hayes, who started off as sort of enemies. the fact that hayes is stuck in packton makes that he instantly feels resentment towards colleen, which makes the instant attraction they feel for eachother all the more complicated. i really enjoyed seeing colleen grow more and more confident in her new job and how hayes helped her grow and was always reading to fight to make others see her worth too.
besides this, the author also did a really nice job of setting the vibes the entire series will have!

stealing home :
this is my second favorite book in the series, which surprised me, because normally i am not the biggest fan of a single parent romance. i think what made me like this as much as i did, is that from the very first page, walker understands that even though he is attracked to hannah and has been for years, her kids always come first. it also, in a gentle way, shows the effects an abusive relationship can have one somone.

check swing :
now, as this is an honest review, i have to admit i didnt really enjoy this book. i liked sinclair but couldn’t really connect with frankie. there was a fight towards the ending of the book that didn’t really sit right with me, and we never got the apology that was needed here. there’s also an unexpected pregnancy trope, which was fine, but not really my thing. although, credits for the author for making it feel like they still would’ve ended up together, even if frankie didnt end up pregnant!

control artist :
this pairing surprised me, as the previous books kind of made me think that dahlia wouldve ended up with clark. but, this was a good surprise! i love people who just speak whats on their mind, so I instantly liked garrett. dahlia knows her worth and is not afraid to show some teeth. they were an unexpected match, but once you see them together, you know they in some weird way just work. really enjoyed the moments where they came out of their comfort zones and were vulnerable with eachother. out of all of the books, this one was the least predictable and even had me wondering where the story would take me!

tagging up :
i’ve been waiting for clark’s book ever since i started the series, so it’s no surprise this ended up being my favourite out of all of them. just as clark, anna says whats on her mind and always makes sure to go after what she wants. there was a bit of an age gap, but i didnt even notice it all that much. just a simple love story, attraction, opening up emotionally to eachother and the needed dose of drama!

Warning track (Book 1) - I was pulled into this story with the first chapter and went along on a ride filled with tears, resentment, discovering that you can try and fight the attraction but come up short because feelings have a way of finding their way to one's heart.

Stealing Home (Book 2) – I fell in love with Walker in book one. My heart was breaking for Hannah and everything that happened to her. Together they made sense and you could feel the attraction growing with each page I read. So when they finally got together to say my heart was singing is the biggest understatement of them all.

Check Swing (Book 3) – I've been on the fence about Sin since book 1 and I'm so glad he finally found himself and proved his was so much more.
I loved Frankie as his match. She was strong, independent and wouldn't take crap from anyone. I even loved her when she was keeping him at arm’s length because let's be honest for a moment, he did deserve it. But what I loved most of all was all the love Callahan Family wanted to give her and when she finally gave in?? Pure happiness in my heart.

Control Artist (book 4) Garrett and Daliah were like water and oil at the beginning. He was a bit cocky and so confident, and I loved how she put him in his place. The slow burn was driving me up the wall and I was so happy when they finally gave in to the attraction.

Tagging up (book 5) - I really liked Clark in previous books; his boyish charm and easy-going attitude spoke to me. He's battling his demons and getting involved with Anna seems to keep them at bay. She herself has her own matters to fight without adding his problems to her plate. But she is unable to stay away and when they start opening up to each other we finally get to realize that they are meant to be.

I've read the whole series as it came out and getting to read the epilogs now i can fill in the blanks that i had before. I think this series was my first read by Carrie Aarons and I've been a fan ever since.

#1 Warning Track
Holy cow! I might have a new favorite series by Carrie Aarons! To say that I devored this novel seems like an understatement! Warning Track is the first novel in a new sports romance series by Carrie Aarons.

Colleen Callahan is the new general manager for her family's baseball club. And while she didn't get there how she expected to, she's determined to do what she can to turn around her family's name as well as the club's.

Hayes Swindell is not somewhere he ever thought he would be. In his eleventh season as a professional baseball player, he will just have to deal with it, but it doesn't mean he has to be nice about it.

Colleen is the epitome of strong female. In a leadership role within a male dominated field and sport, she may not always see it, but she aboslutely is. Hayes is man enough to admit that he might want something he isn't supposed to have. I absolutely loved these characters and the world that has been built in Packton. I cannot wait for more from the Callahan's!

#2 Stealing Home
Stealing Home is the second novel of the Cahallan Family series by Carrie Aarons. It follows Walker, Colleen's cousin and the star and face of the Cahallan family baseball legacy.

Walker has been in love with another teammates wife since before they were married. He's been patiently waiting on the sidelines since their reception night. When their marriage explodes in a very public way, he decides he can no longer wait for her.

Hannah has more going on her life than most people ever experience. Her husband abused her and it finally came to light. Now she is on her own trying to figure out be a single mom and how to get back on her feet.

I absolutely loved Hannah and Walker and Hannah's little girls! This story could probably have some triggers, but the journey Hannah goes through is truly emotional and touching. I cannot wait for the next novel in this series!

#3 Check Swing
Check Swing is the third novel in The Cahallan Family series by Carrie Aarons. It follows Walker's brother Sinclair on his personal journey of change.

Sinclair is a Cahallan. He is the black sheep of the clan. Riding on his trust fund and family name, he has never rwally done anything for himself. As he earns his one year chip from AA, he starts to understand personal accomplishment. And a job at spring training begins to shine a light on the possibilities there are out there.

Francesca "Frankie" is a woman strength coach at the spring training facility in Florida. She has fought her whole adult life in a man's world and is finally making some progress. She is independent and tough as nails. But what happens when the unexpected comes into her life and changes her goals?

I absolutely loved getting to know the sober Sinclair and Frankie! The Cahallan clan is fun as always and I just love the world that Carrie Aarons has built in Packton, PA! I cannot wait for the next novel in this series!

#4 Control Artist
Control Artist is the fourth installment of the Callahan Family series by Carrie Aarons. It follows the Pistons new team rookie, Garrett.

Garret is young, cocky, and knows that he is able to be one of the best in the league. He chases skirt like most of the atheletes, but one look at Dahila, who is Walker's wife Hannah's sister, and he has a new challenge. Little does he know his new challenge will give him a run for his money!

Dahila is a traveler. She works when she needs to and travels where she likes. She's been in Packton for a while now living wmin her sister and Walker's guest house. She has no interest in rising star Garrett though, despite his very obvious advances and suggestions.

Can Garrett convince Dahila to give him the time of day? If so, will they connect? The answer is yes - their chemistry is red hot ND off the charts! But will that be enough?

#5 Tagging Up
Tagging Up is the fifth and final installment of The Callahan Family series by Carrie Aarons. It's a wonderful story to end an amazing world in Packton, PA.

Clark Nyle is the starting pitcher for the Pistons and is baseball's ultimate playboy. While he has seen Anna at Callahan Family events, he's always kept his distance. She's too young and too connected to his team and it's owners. But one night at Hudson's changes all of that.

Anna Callahan is the young cousin of the group. Always treated like the baby and the only girl and youngest of her immediate family. Always having a crush on Clark, the sexy older playboy ball player.

Can Anna and Clark make it work or will the rest of the Callahan clan ruin everything? I loved this series and the world in Packton! I hope to one day get to experience more of them soon!

The Callahan Family by Carrie Aaron's is the boxset featuring books 1 to 5. All five books in the series could be read as standalones but they are also interconnected through the series.

The first book in the series Warning Track we follow Colleen and Hayes. Colleen has just taken over Packton Pistons as their new GM after her father was sent to prison. Hayes hates the Callahans for what they did. They were enemy number one in his book. I loved these two characters their interaction so much of banter and chemistry.

We meet Hannah and Walker in the second book Stealing home. Hannah and Walker have known each other since Hannah married Walker's team mate. Hannah has been through a lot with her ex and Walker is there for her and kids caring and protecting them. These two are so good together just loved the second installment of the series.

Next is Sinclair and Frankies story Check Swing. Sinclair is known as the black sheep of the family but we see him going through change to become a person who can depend on. Frankie is snarky and a perfect match for Sin as they get their HEA whilst sorting misunderstandings.

We follow Garrett and Dahlia in Control Artist which is the fourth book in this wonderful series. These two are full on chemistry, Dahlia is a wanderer and she puts roots to help out her sister in nannying for her kids. Garrett goes through so much of change as he meets Dahlia and she helps him grow while she finds her own path.

Fifth book in the series is Tagging Up and we meet Clark and Anna in this book. We've seen bits and pieces of Anna throughout this book you will just love this little spitfire! Clark is that playboy baseball player he loves fiercely and is loyal to his friends. I love how Anna and Clark connect with each other.
I loved all the books in the Callahan Family boxset with their entwined stories.
I highly recommend this boxset to any romance lover.

Thank you to the Greys Promo and Carrie Aaron for my ARC in exchange for my honest review

This was my first look into the Callahan family and those friends that are as close as family. I love them all! This collection has so much involved with the characters, each with their own struggles, their own hard decisions and amazing connections. I loved the emotions that were pulled from me, the heart felt moments, the frustration for them and the smiles that comes with these strong friendships and bonds that they all have. It’s a great collection, a must read!

Warning Track

This is a great read! I really enjoyed digging into this story, the great characters and getting to know Collen and Hayes. The story flows well, was able to keep me involved in their lives, the ups and downs, the shocks and emotions. I’m looking forward to the next book in this series.

Stealing Home

Wow! This is a more emotional read, sensitive topics that drew me to Hannah. She’s been in a bad situation for a long time and going along for the ride as she pulls herself out of that is intense at times. I loved that unrequited love that Walker has for her. That longing from a distance adds so much to their connection. Their story is a journey with ups and downs, sadness and pain, along with sweet and happy. I adore her little ones and the bond that they have. Overall the story works well, shows us different sides of situations and is able to keep the flow going.

Check Swing

Love this one! I love Sinclair and Frankie, they connection and growth, the spice and the sweet. There were moments that twisted my heart and loved how Sinclair has worked so hard to better himself, to get past his old ways. The two of them definitely have some ups and downs but those things just add to their story. There’s bits of emotions, and a lot of love!

Control Artist

Oh my! He’s such a player, but Garrett was able to wiggle his way into my heart. I loved his journey, dealing with his past, working to make his future better. I love Dahlia and enjoyed her in previous stories so getting to see this side of her was great. The story is full of ups and downs so be prepared for the ride!

Tagging Up

This is another great read in this series. I loved getting to dig into Clark, his heart, his loyalty and that pull he has to Anna. She’s strong, determined and standing up and doing what she wants, despite what her Callahan family wants. These two have a great connection, lots of heat and a back and forth that kept the pages turning!

I received a copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving an honest review.

Colleen & Hayes
The relationship between Hayes and Colleen was so well written. We loved that they didn't just immediately fall in to bed with each other, they built an actual friendship. Friends to lovers, we love to see it. While Hayes was falling in love with Colleen, he was also falling in love with Packton. He was building lasting friendships!
We also loved that the book didn't end with a marriage and pregnancy. While we do enjoy that trope, we really felt that Colleen and Hayes choosing to foster fit their story so much better!

Walker & Hannah
We think this was our favorite story of the bunch. Seeing Hannah overcome her trauma from Shane to make room for her love with Walker was so sweet. We absolutely loved how much Walker adored Hannah and her girls, and we will never forgive Shane for being such a douche. Hannah completely deserved all of the love and affection Walker so desperately wanted to give her.

Sinclair & Frankie
Oh our sweet boy Sinclair. To overcome his alcohol addiction and come out on top was so great to see. We really enjoyed seeing Sin come in to his own and find a career that he actually loved and wanted to do! Sinclair really turned his life around and Frankie was a big part of that. We didn’t love that she kept her pregnancy a secret and had no plans to tell Sin, but we were so glad to see them come back together in the end to raise their little family!

Dahlia & Garrett
We absolutely fell in love with Dahlia in Walker & Hannah’s book so we were very excited to see that this one was about her! Honestly, we were a little surprised that she didn’t end up with Clark but loved how this book ended up! Garrett needed someone like Dahlia in his life, he worked so hard to get out of his little town and do well for himself. Both of them needed to work on themselves and they grew together so beautifully.

Anna & Clark
Clark is such a playboy and we enjoyed seeing him finally settle down, he just wanted someone to love him completely and we were so happy to see that it would be Anna. Anna and Clark had some amazing chemistry and we found ourselves deeply engrossed in their story. We were so sad to see this series end but what an ending it was!

"'To friends who became family,' Colleen says and we all clink glasses. 'And to the Pistons. One way or another, this ball club brought us together.'"

What a wonderful small-town sports romance series! You're going to fall in love with the Callahan crew and the extended Pistons family. There are 5 books and an extended epilogue 8 years later, so we get to see what the future looks like for each couple.

There are so many amazing tropes included in this series, like workplace romance, age-gap romance and forbidden romance. I've linked each book below so you can see my individual reviews, but spoiler: Warning Track was my favourite of the series. Colleen and Hayes were something else! But then Stealing Home was a close second and a total emotional rollercoaster.

1. Warning Track
2. Stealing Home
3. Check Swing
4. Control Artist
5. Tagging Up

Thank you to Carrie Aarons and Grey's Promo for the early copy of this box set.

I absolutely adored this family. Colleen and Hayes will forever be my favourite, but I loved Sinclair and Frankie’s story too!

Colleen is this wonderfully badass woman who is so determined to succeed. I kind of hated Hayes in the beginning, but he becomes this absolute sweetheart throughout their story and it just melts your heart how they are together.

Walker and Hannah have this connection they both can’t seem to ignore anymore and it just gets explosive and wonderful. Hannah is freaking superwoman and deserves the WORLD, who better to try than Walker?

Sin and Frankie have this undeniable chemistry right from the get-go. Sinclair, being his usual irresponsible self, causes trouble constantly and Frankie really helps kind of mellow him out and get him on the right track. I loved them together from the start.

Dahlia and Garrett have to deal with so much in such a short time. Seems like it’s scandal after scandal and Garrett can’t catch a break, but When Dahlia finally gives him a chance, it’s like a whole knew world for the young baseball god. Until he goes and screws it all up. Just as they fix what he almost broke, another scandal comes in to the mix. But the ‘grand gesture’ every romance novel has? This ones PERFECT for them.

Anna and Clark are this unbelievably wonderful couple, until Clark goes and rips her heart to pieces, then takes off for training camp. But, fear not, he comes back and (unlike any man I know) can’t seem to contain his feelings and blurts them all out. I loved the way Anna and Clark were together, even if it started after a hospital visit 😉

THE REVIEW FOR THE BOOK: The Callahan Family Box Set
GENRE: Contemporary Romance
AUTHOR: Carrie Aarons
TROPE: Contemporary romance, sports
TYPE: Callahan Family #1-5
MY RATING: 5.0 Stars
POV: Dual First Person
The Callahan Family Box Set includes five standalones:
• Warning Track
• Stealing Home
• Check Swing
• Control Artist
• Tagging Up

If you love sports romance, then you’re going to love diving into this series. I’ve been a big fan of Carrie’s work for a while. I would have to say that Tagging Up was my favorite book of the series.

These stories all have different couples in them but are interconnected. You’ll see a lot of the characters appear in all the books in the series. I found that this was a more adult sports romance where these are grown up professional ball players. I think that it adds more drama to the overall story. The issues that the couples face are less high school/college and more “real world”

The banter in these books is hilarious. I loved the back and forth between the love interests. Surprisingly, there is a lot of steam and smut in these books. These are not the fade to black type of romances. I can’t wait for readers to pick up this box set and get a chance to fall in love with characters that I’ve grown to know over the last year.

Side note - Anna and Clark will always be my favorite.
