J. Nathan’s moving romance between a heartless football god and the fearless housekeeper’s daughter is the stuff of angsty perfection.

When Grace is forced to live with her mother at Grayson manor after her father’s untimely death, she knew life would never be the same. She just never expected to suffer Seren’s anger.

The oldest Grayson is a force to be reckoned with both on and off the football field, but so is Grace. Something Seren never expected.

As the two are forced to see each other at the manor and duel during English class over Mr. Darcy and Elizabeth’s relationship, that much like their own, started on the wrong foot, they discover that they’re two halves of a whole. But will outside forces tear them apart?

J. Nathan delivers two potent, well-crafted characters: Seren in angry with many layers, Grace is strong and determined. Both have broken souls, making their love feel special because it’s hard-won and healing.

I can’t adequately express how much I enjoyed this entire story from start to finish. I loved Seren’s growth and Grace’s character. I enjoyed their banter, the contentious, the sweet, the sexy and the swoony. I loved how J. interlaced Jane Austin’s Pride and Prejudice, and included subjects such as being true to one’s self.

I’m not above begging her for Saint and Sawyer’s (Seren’s younger brothers) books.

SEREN is a standalone young adult romance by J. Nathan. Told from both points of view, with a happy ending. Tropes: high school bully | tortured hero | tortured heroine | enemies to lovers

“When I’m with you, I don’t feel so broken.”

I just met my first J Nathan book and it was love at first sight! From the moment I sank into Seren, I was instantly smitten. I hungrily devoured every word, drowning in the pages that were my air to breathe. With its drool-worthy cover, delicious dialogue, crush-worthy hero, and soap opera-worthy storyline, what’s not to love? Seren mesmerized my mind while hugging my heart and soul.

A new adult love story of two broken souls becoming whole, Seren features an angry football god and a beautiful housekeeper’s daughter whose lives collide in the most unexpected of ways. I love how this hero and heroine are deeply drawn, their pasts weaving them together in a way that makes them kindred spirits … soulmates with a love that’s inevitable. It felt like unwrapping a gift as I discovered Seren’s many layers, a hero whose hidden heart is the best gift of all.

Told through the eyes of Pride and Prejudice, Seren is a moving tale that shows the repercussions of quick judgements, and what it means to truly be loved. Weaving in Jane Austin’s timeless love story makes Seren even more special. I applauded its themes of being true to oneself and daring to be different, which strike straight to the teenage soul. This gripping, guilty pleasure of a romance bleeds angst and blazes with fire and feels … exploding off the pages! Intense. Intriguing. Intoxicating. Irresistible. I loved this love story.

💋💋💋💋💋 bold and breathtaking kisses

allow me to explain why this book was not it for me.

Characters: no actual character build. Things didn’t actually make sense with things they did because it didn’t go with what the author laid out for them from the beginning of the book. The main characters said and did things just to move the plot along. None of it was thought through to create something worth while.

Plot: dull as dull can be. Angsty? Not at all. It was basic. Bully romance? What bullying. Literally the crap that they were doing came out of a children’s book, and this is not a children’s book. The situations that came up was not enticing or funny or even worth while either. So so many tropes being used in this book, and not even well. Pride and prejudice trope. Mean girls trope. Rich family scandal trope. Everything I could have guessed. Another lack luster detail in this lack luster book.

Writing: the overall writing style was not up to par with what I thought this book was capable of. I felt like some details were rushed and others were dragged on for no reason.

I feel as though the author needs more time in developing their writing. Great bones to a possibly great story. But this didn’t hit the mark. Could have been sooo much better.

I received an ARC of this book and this is my voluntarily, honest review of it.

J. Nathan is one of my favorite new adult writers so I’m always excited when she publishes a new story. And just like her other books, I really enjoyed this story!

Grace never expected her father to die when she was 17 years old or that she would have to leave her house and home town to move to the Grayson manor where her mother lives and works as a housekeeper. If all that wasn’t hard enough, the three sons who live there aren’t really happy with her presence there. The youngest brother Sawyer may be kind to her but his two older brothers Seren and Saint are cold, spoiled and selfish. Their handsome looks may have girls falling for them but Grace isn’t one of them. And especially the oldest brother Seren seems to dislike her very much! But Grace isn’t afraid to stand up to him or to the other rich bullies. And the more Seren pushes her, the more Grace pushes back but somewhere along the way, Grace and Seren get to know each other better and Seren shows Grace a side of him that nobody else knows. Something is blossoming between them and feelings are growing but not everyone is happy about that, especially not the rich girls on Seren’s school. And there is also a secret enemy with their own secret plans to harm Seren and his family. Can Grace and Seren keep each other safe and can their newfound love overcome all opposition against them?

‘Seren’ is a high school bully romance story. I read a lot of different romance genres but I haven’t read many bully stories. I think part of the reason for it is that I’m afraid that the main character will take the bullying too far but knowing J. Nathan’s writing style, I knew that I didn’t have to worry about that in this story and I was right! Yes, there was bullying in the book but it wasn’t anything too dramatic or emotional. And the fact that we got both POV’s in the story, gave us also more insight into Seren’s emotions, actions and thoughts.

The main characters Grace and Seren may only be 17 years and 18 years old but I still found them mature for their age. Especially Grace acted sensible and wise in difficult situations. At first glance, Grace and Seren couldn’t be more different but if you looked deeper, you saw that they shared things too. Both lost their father, someone they loved very much. Both had big dreams for their future. Seren wanted to be a professional football player and Grace wanted to work in a rescue sea center to work with wounded sea animals. Both worked hard to achieve their goal. From the start there was chemistry between them but where in the beginning Seren’s focus was more into bullying Grace, later into the story it changed into something else, his focus became thoughtful and more sensitive. Seren’s focus was always intense, he never lost that, not when he was doing bad things or good things. really liked that about him! Grace and Seren may be young but their feelings for each other were very strong and intense. Neither of them doubted the other or their feelings. Maybe also interesting to know, there were a few sex scenes in the story.

The secondary character were also interesting. Some character we got to know better than others. There was Grace’s mother Rosalie and Seren’s mother and stepfather. From the two brothers, we got to know Sawyer better than Saint. Saint stayed a bit of a mystery. But I have my fingers crossed that maybe the writer will give us him and Sawyer’s story too. I would really love that. Grace’s friends Holly and Laney were wonderful friends, there were kind, funny, supportive and very protective of Grace too.
I’m really happy that the writer have us an epilogue at the end. I’m always curious to see a glimpse into the couple’s future.

‘Seren’ is a great story, it reminded me a bit of ‘The royals’ series by Erin Watt, if you have read those books and liked them, try this book too.

4.5 stars!

One thing I can always count on with a J Nathan book is that I’m always left satisfied. She knows how to write a great story with refreshing characters! I always love her heroes! They’re flawed and broken but they’re real and relatable and you always root for them! And her heroines are always strong and feisty. They never take shit or let the hero walk all over them. And our girl, Grace was no different.

I haven’t read many high school bully romances in the last several years but this was a great one! Both Seren and Grace are dealing with some heartbreaking stuff when they meet…although their first chance encounter was not the best meeting but it set up for a great story.

I loved watching their relationship develop from enemies to friends to lovers. I loved all the side characters and hope we see books about them, especially Seren’s brothers.

Definitely pick this one up when it releases. And then pick up all of her other books while you’re at it! She’s been a auto-buy author since Until Alex and Since Drew.

I adore a good bully romance and this one almost hit the spot.
Seren was a definite page turner with it’s swoon worthy chemistry between the characters, the mystery (not that much) but I’m going to perhaps go with the “it’s not you, it’s me” excuse. I did however enjoy the banter between Seren and Grace.

A quick read for sure…

Review: Thank for the ARC
My first bully romance that I didn't hate...
The book is about Grace moving into the Grayson manor with mother after her father passed away, which is where is meets the Seren Grayson. He treats her like sh*t because she is lower-class(the help), but he is intrigued by her because she is the only one that is not intimated by his stare and status.

My thoughts on the book is that it was good, however it would have been great(4 stars) if I got to see a bit more of how their relationship changed from Enemies to Lovers, it was really rush for me. The plot was ok, although I would have loved to see a little bit more about their relationship than the drama within the Grayson manor.

Maybe I’m getting too old for teenage drama, or maybe the bully to instalove transition gave me whiplash, but this just didn’t do anything for me. It’s the first time I’ve disliked a book by Nathan - the other five I've read from her have been great. We'll call this one a fluke! Our introduction to Seren is less than appealing, and then he continues to be an unappealing (anti)hero throughout, even after he starts to get a little sweeter. I’ve read plenty of bully romances in the past, and the best ones always have the kind of tension that grips you - keeps your eyes glued to the page even when you hate what’s happening. I just thought Seren was a pushy, obnoxious jerk who happened to have a hot body... and it kinda felt like Grace thought that too.

The story follows Grace, an almost-18-year-old whose father just passed away. She's trying to finish up her last few months of high school, but in order to stay in the district, she's forced to move in with the wealthy family her mother works for. Grace has already been warned about the three brothers who live there - they lost their father too, and they've been acting out ever since. So when Grace runs into Seren, it's dislike at first sight. He may be hot, but that's where the attraction ends. As Grace's life continues to fall apart around her, there's only one guy to blame: Seren. He's been warning her away since the moment they met, but it's possible there's more than meets the eye.

My favorite part of Nathan's books is their bingeable quality; I don't think I've ever read one in more than one sitting. And this does have the same kind of appeal - it reads quickly, doesn't have a dull moment, and even brings a bit of suspense. I liked a few of the twists and turns, I just wish I liked Seren better. He's mean to Grace right away, then expects her to be along for the ride the moment he changes course. He felt SUPER pushy - he's the driving force behind every turn in their relationship, and sometimes it felt like Grace was pressured into agreeing (to a date, to sex, to love). Given the fact that she just lost her father and she's reeling from all of the changes in her life... that didn't sit well with me. I loved that she stood up for herself through much of the book, so it was surprising that she let him pressure her like that. So, while I find Nathan's writing style to be easy to devour, I couldn't get behind the romance. This definitely feels like a series starter, and future books with Seren's brothers could be interesting. If you like a bully romance that doesn't get too dark, then this might be up your alley, but it definitely wasn't a total win. I received an early copy and am voluntarily leaving a review of this new adult romance.

I received a copy of this book in exchange for my honest review.

I really wanted to like this book. I’m a big fan of bully romances, but something about the characters did not sit well with me. I felt there was a lot left to be desired when it came to character backstories and development as a whole. It was very abrupt that Seren fell for Grace, and not in an instalove way, but in a total 180-degree way.

I did enjoy the ending and how everything was tied up, even though it was all a bit too unrealistic for my taste. I would definitely be interested in a Saint and/or Sawyer book just to see where those crazy kids go.

This was a super quick read, perfect for fans of light high school bully romances and a little bit of mystery.

if you like bully high school bully/ sports romance and shocking plottwist this books is perfect for you!!

Grace is a very strong and lovely woman. Her father recently passed away and he was one of her absolutly favorite people She not only have to move away from home but also herefore is not able to see her friends as often as normaly.
Despite the circumstances Grace always remains positive and fascinates everyone with her strength of will.

Seren is hot, football player and not at all a big fan of Grace.
His father also died a few years ago, which is why he has had a strong character change since then.
He is used to getting his own will and wrapping everyone around his finger. Grace, on the other hand, is not affeced by him ,cause Seren to reconsider his feelings.

Seeing both together was so interesting.
Both could not have been more different but also on the other hand absoltly equal.
Their development was just beautiful, to be able to watch how Seren changed from not caring to would do everything for Grace was just lovely.
I love them both so much!!

I'm a sucker for a strong male character who's closed off to most people but sweet to his romantic partner and family. I like the change in attitude and find it cute that they have a soft spot. I also love a strong woman who doesn't let others push her around and this book has both characters!

This was easy to get into as it starts quickly and there's almost no wait for Grace and Seren to meet. They clash right away and there's a definite tension between them. I enjoyed watching them circle each other and finally come together. There's also a bit of murder mystery to amp things up and add some intrigue.

I've enjoyed every book I've read by this author and I can't wait for more of the Grayson boys.

I voluntarily read and reviewed this book and all opinions are my own. Thank you to the author for a copy.

A solid 3.75 stars
This is my first time reading J. Nathan and I enjoyed reading Seren. I am a die-hard bully-highschool/college-romance fan and I was quick to sign up for an ARC copy. The story was solid but predictable, I loved Grace's character and strength, her ability to not care what the school bullies were doing to her. She was much more mature than the girls in most of the bully romances I have read.
But what I did find a bit lacking was Seren's character development in the initial parts of the book. I would have enjoyed it if we could have gotten a bit more of his inner thought process, his struggle with his father's death, his dilemma with choosing his father's dream vs his own. Also would have loved to see his struggle with his attraction to Grace and not just the 'in your face, 'I like you' scenario that we got in the book. Once they became a couple, I really enjoyed their compatibility and Seren's thoughtfulness in the dates that he planned for Grace. This would have had a bigger impact if we got a bit more of his inner struggle vs his outer bully persona.
The plot didn't have too many twists and turns and you pretty much knew the path it would take. But I did enjoy reading J. Nathan's writing style - it was smooth and kept me engaged throughout.
To all readers who like the lighter side of bully, then this is a book for you and I would totally recommend it.

Grace and her mum move into the mansion of Grace's mum’s employer, after the ill-fated demise of her father. Her mother and Maureen “the lady of the manor” were best friends growing up. A lucky blind date set Maureen on a road to riches and her mum to a life of servitude. Maureen thought she’d done her a favour by gracing her with a job. But what she didn’t realise was her mother saw it as a favour to Maureen, always keeping an eye out for her once best friend. When you had money, people used you. And her mother hated seeing that happen to Maureen. And, even when Maureen lost her husband to a heart attack three years before, her mother was the only one to be there for her and her three sons—well, her mum and Mr. Grayson’s business partner Martine, who was now her new husband.

An unspoken line in the sand had been drawn long ago between the lady of the manor and the help. But, despite their change in status over the years, Maureen had suggested they move to Grayson Manor. She even handled selling their home.

Her mum wears a Downton Abbey-style uniform.
“It’s not the basement. It’s the helps’ quarters.”
“The help? You grew up with Maureen. She refers to you as the help?”
“Would it be okay if I explore the grounds or do they have security—or vicious dogs—patrolling the premise to keep the riff-raff out?”
“Everyone knows you’re here now. They’ll leave you alone. Just be sure not to wear a ski mask or press your back against the wall and act suspicious.”
I laughed. “I think I can handle that.”

“The boys will be at school until two-thirty.”
“They’re not on spring break?”
“They had it last week and spent it in Mexico. But when they do get home, stay away from them.”
“Why?”
“They haven’t been the same since their father died.”
“What does that mean?”
“It means…their idea of a good time is not the same as yours.”
“Trust me, Grace. They enjoy hurting others. Let me rephrase that. They enjoy watching other people get hurt. They’ve changed over the past three years and neither Maureen nor Martine can control them.”
“Okay. No fraternizing with twisted rich boys who torture others. Got it.”
“I’m not joking, stay away from them”.

At eighteen Seren — is an arrogant, brooding, promiscuous teenager. Their introduction is a girl yelling and Grace thinking it’s a call for help.
“Oh my God!” I looked around, searching for the girl whose voice had carried across the property.
“Seren!” she said, but she no longer sounded scared. More like she was urging someone on. And it was coming from inside the pool house.
“You like that?” a deep voice asked, causing the hair on my arms to stand on end.
“Yes,” she said all breathy and unafraid.
I took another look into the window and spotted two people in the corner of the room. A shirtless guy with his back to me had his hands splayed on the wall above his head with a girl caged between him and the wall. I couldn’t see beyond the sofa blocking my view but from what I could gather, his hips were moving.
“Just like that,” she begged.
I’d seen enough to know what was happening. And I’d been very wrong.
I removed my hands from the window to get away from the embarrassing situation, but my elbow knocked against the glass.
I froze and my eyes widened.
The guy looked over his shoulder, locking his eyes on me. I winced, hoping my features conveyed my apology for stumbling upon the two of them. I expected him to stop what he was doing, but he didn’t. He kept me locked in his cold emotionless glare as he continued thrusting into the girl.

Grace has such strength of character in the face of adversity. She is dealing with the loss of her father, alienated in a school of over-indulged, entitled brats. The people in school pride themselves on their parents’ wealth, thinking that somehow made them superior to everyone else. He’d become one of those people.

He gets his buddy Clay, who’s a cop to ruin Grace’s night out with her friends in Cooperville.
“I was jealous as hell, I wanted you to stay here. Not hang with some drunk guys where I couldn’t keep an eye on you.”
“That’s not normal, you know that, right?”

Then someone contacts the school administrators making them aware that she no longer lives in the district forcing her to transfer to Windham…the last two months of high school, subjected to a never ending barrage of hazing, and he expects her to be gracious that he defends her.

“Is that any way to treat the person who just saved your a*s?”
“Saved my a*s? It wouldn’t have been necessary if you hadn’t brought me to your school in the first place. What? Did you think it would be more fun watching me get bullied by your rich friends? Are you disappointed that I haven’t shed tears in a room full of vipers? Are you not getting the response you hoped for? Tell me, Seren. What the hell more do you want from me? I thought my dad dying was as bad as it could get, but then I had to move here. I got torn away from the only friends I’d ever known. Now, I’ve got to endure entitled a*sholes who want to hurt me for no reason other than it’s entertaining for them. How much more should I have to take?”

He confesses that he had nothing to do with the hazing at school saying it’s because she’s new—and the girls are jealous.
“Then, what did you do?”
“Let the air out of your tires.”
“Why, Seren? What would you gain from flattening my tires?”
“You’d need me.”
“Need you?”
“I would’ve gotten to spend time with you”.
“But you hate me,” I said, completely confused by what he’d revealed.
“I hate the way you look at me.”
“I’m just giving you back what you give to me.”
“You would’ve seen I wasn’t such an asshole if I was the one driving you to school. You’d get to know the real me. But then Sawyer offered you the Jeep, and that just made me hate you more because you clearly didn’t need me.”
“I came to your room that morning, you could’ve offered me a ride then.”
“I don’t like being accused of something.”
“Accused of something you did! You’re not making any sense.”
“Jesus Christ, Grace. Do you need me to f-g spell it out for you?”

Since Grace’s arrival, Seren had been horrid. His words. His actions. His disdain for all things Grace. And, he admitted he’d let the air out of her tyres and then resented her for blaming him for it. But he did it‼️

Had he really been treating her dastardly because the alternative was falling for her? It all seemed far-fetched.

They had gotten off on the wrong foot when she arrived at the manor. She’d
assumed he’d done all the awful stuff to her, but she’d been wrong. Maybe he needed to forgive his actual indiscretions because now she knew they were done out of conflicted feelings he was having for her. He’d put a stop to the misfits in front of the entire cafeteria. He’d tried to get her reliant on him so she would see there’s much more to him than meets the eye.

Kiki then taunts her about having reported her school residency violation to the principal forcing her to transfer her last two months of school to Windham, subjecting her to their relentless hazing.

She then amps up her crazy by having Seren suspended so he cannot go to the Prom with Grace.

Grace and Seren's relationship progresses throughout the book from being bitter enemies to actually falling for each other, with drama and angst in between, along with some mystery and suspense regarding his stepfather Martine thrown in for good measure! Grace makes him feel less broken, with a thoughtful and sensitive core behind his cruel exterior.

Excerpt:

“We did and she snapped a few photos of us. I really hoped she knew what she was doing and didn’t cut off half his head. Scratch that. She knew exactly what she was doing and likely cut off half his head.”

The homage to Pride and Prejudice was beautifully woven into the fabric of the story.

I’m the kind of person who watches a mystery and can figure out who did it before anyone else can. I’m a voracious reader too so that many times I can figure out where the book is going, but I enjoy the story and the characters so much, I don’t mind. J Nathan, though, well, she always manages to sneak in a twist or two that I never see coming. This is why she’s a one-click, consistently 5 star author for me. And with Seren, she doesn’t let me down. I really loved every minute of the story.

Seren’s main character Grace, is a 17 year old young lady who’s surprisingly responsible, strong, and mature (in good ways) for her age. The story starts out with her father passing away and she goes to live with her mom who is a live-in housekeeper . Now I must be honest, I’ve read many Bully romances. Maybe too many of them because now I sort of steer clear. But since it was J. Nathan, I knew she would do this story justice. And she did.

The bullying, by the boss’s son isn’t overdone. And Grace is no pushover. In fact the characters seem real and well-rounded and well, of course, you gotta root for them.

As I mention, J Nathan surprises us with some twists and turns and lots of feels. Really, Seren had it all - some mystery, romance, family dynamics, strong heroine, handsome hero with two handsome younger brothers, and just enough sexy scenes. It kept me hooked from the start and I finished reading Seren in one day. Honestly, now I’m ready to go stalk the author to find out when we get more …maybe the brothers? And extended epilogue… really, I just want to see these characters again…

Speaking of which, if you’re a J Nathan fan like I am, you might notice a few mentions of past characters too.

I highly recommend Seren!

I received a complimentary early release of this book and I am voluntarily leaving an unbiased and honest review.

This had so much potential to be good and then at about 70% the book jumped the shark over the hover dam in a paper blimp. The most convoluted unnecessary plotline ever. For one thing, why on earth would this mastermind of espionage who has already gotten away with murder just let the girl who figured him out go with a bunch of useless threats. If he was capable of killing anyone, he just WOULD. Also, she never thought to write anything on paper? Or to buy a burner phone and contact one of her friends and have them find a way to get in contact with Sawyer or Seren or even her mom? There are a thousand ways she could have done something which is EXACTLY why no mastermind criminal would just let her go under the threat of "recording everything" really? He all by himself is going to monitor every moment of like 7 peoples lives in multiple states JUST in case they say something? Come on! Just because it's fiction doesn't mean you can just smack anything on paper and expect us to believe it. This was basically a "pride and prejudice" retelling with an ending the writers of "Sharknado" would envy.

This is a fast paced story and on one hand that’s great, nothing is dragged out too long and it gets to to the point. On the other hand I felt it skipped over character development and I didn’t connect with the characters because of that.
I did like the connection Seren and Grace have because they both are grieving the death’s of their fathers. That made me feel like they understood each other in that way.
The scenes when Seren is open and vulnerable are great. I love that he only shares his feelings with Grace.
I like that Grace doesn’t cower to the wealthy, entitled bullies at her new school and home.
There were some very cute and swoony moments when Seren was thoughtful and sweet, it was surprising and adorable.
It’s very insta-attraction and insta-love. I’m not a fan so I think this is another reason I didn’t really fall in love with this story.
I’ve read and loved previous books by the author.
This one is a very different trope than usual for this author, it’s a bully romance so it could be a case of me being used to very different stories from the author, I’m not sure.
There’s a twist towards the end, it was one I saw coming, it was an interesting addition. It adds some cloak and dagger aspects.
I liked the way that situation was handled by the characters. I liked that it was what caused their separation instead of a silly or immature reason.
Seren’s brothers are great secondary characters. I liked the quips and banter they provided. Both are likable in very different ways.
I would recommend this book to someone wanting to dip their toe into lighter, bully romance that’s a quick read.
Nothing is too heavy. It touches on serious issues in a light, easy way.

4 Stars!

J. Nathan is back with a brand new release, a bit different from what I've read from her in the past and y'all... this was quite the romance. Unexpected in many moments and so unforgettable in others, Seren had all the components for a romance that I've expect from this author... in a whole lot of good ways y'all.

Seren and Grace. Whew these two. They had a complicated, complex in their own rights, angsty, all in your feels journey to tell. The ups and downs.... gahhh my heart**.... never ever overpowered the chemistry and intensity that flowed between these two from very early on. While it wasn't easy at times for Seren and Grace, both together and and apart, it was soooo very very worth it by the end.

I'll be honest, I went into this book a bit blind as I just saw J. Nathan's name and immediately wanted to read it. Over the past couple of years, she's written quite a few of my favorites and while bully romance isn't typically my thing.. this author is. With that said, I really enjoyed this book. It had everything that tends to run in the bully theme (I've read a handful now), but one thing she did that many others fail to do- she made BOTH characters so likeable that you can't help but root for them on their journey, even in the most broken parts.

A must read by fans of the ya bully trope and author.

I totally recommend this book.

Wow! this is the first book I have read from this author but I will have to check out more because I totally enjoyed this book. It was a bully romance about Grace and Seren. They both had lost their father's and were still dealing with that loss. Grace went to live with her Mom who worked at Seren's families' mansion in another town. Seren was rude to Grace from the beginning so she tried to stay away from him. Seren was being mean to Grace because he wanted to keep her away from him because he thought he was not good. This book was exciting, steamy, and even emotional when the characters were dealing with their father's death. I hope we get to see stories about Saint and Sawyer, Seren's brothers because I definitely don't want to say goodbye to this family yet. I received a review copy of this story and am leaving a voluntary honest review.

It's been a long time since I read a good bully romance and a heroine that not afraid to bit back😄

Grace & Seren love story is brillaint and I hope the brothers get their own story too🙏 This is a slow romance and there are LOADS of tense scenes between them. And him begin protective around but not releasing that irration of his group & brothers is his reactions to his feelings for her and how she feeling. She breaks him very slowly and so does he with her❤️

Now I got very very interested in Grayson Industries because I do not trust the step father...no spoilers

Seren, Saint and Sawyer are all brothers and each brilliantly different. They have a nickname in the school Grayson God's. Yes they a handsome and beautiful green eyes😍

What I truely love about the book is that they have one thing in common. They both lost their fathers and it had left a mark on them. Both cope in different was and I cried when Grace plays a old video of her Dad because I have videos like that and I rayed to her that way. Because when I miss my family and they are ALIVE! playing the video makes smile and reminds me to keep going. This to me make Grace more human

Bully & full of heart romance perfect read, trust me 😄

This book was bad, it was not a bully romance.
In one chapter the characters would do one thing and in the next one they would do the opposite, it was quite difficult to follow.
There wasn't character build; like when Grace met Sawyer, they exchanged a little conversation, then already liked each other and were best friends immediately. It wasn’t natural.
And they talked about Saint being worse than Seren but until 80% through the book he probably just said 2 or 3 phrases.
Seren was supposed to be a villain but he actually did NOTHING, he was just arrogant.
Probably the only thing that I liked was that Grace didn't back down when it came to Seren.

Seren and Grace started out as enemies before Grace even knew why or what was happening other then her life changed completely in a blink of an eye and she wasn’t about to let some entitled jerk think he can bully her and I loved her for never cowering. Seren had no idea how important Grace would be to him all he knew is he was about to make her miserable

Angsty, sweet and full of intrigue and feels, Seren was a captivating read.

With wonderfully written characters, tension and a lingering air of suspense, this book just had it all for me. Grace is such a great character, with her backbone, maturity and tenacity. Seren is so much more than meets the eye, with a thoughtful and sensitive center behind his cruel exterior. Their chemistry together is captivating and the little homage to Pride and Prejudice was spot on and perfectly woven into the fabric of this story, giving it an extra dose of magic.
Even the supporting characters were perfectly crafted and Saint and especially Sawyer have managed to snag my heart and I'm willing to offer a bribe for them to get their own HEAs.

4.5⭐️

Grace has just lost her father and moves into the Grayson mansion where her mother works.
There she will live the remainder of her last year of high school with the 3 brothers, each one different, but it will be Seren, the older brother, who is going to bring her the most problems.
Seren and his brothers have not yet gotten over the death of his father years ago, nor that their mother married his father's partner in the company so soon, especially Seren, who holds a special grudge against her for this.
At first, Seren will seem like the typical asshole, rich and conceited, but as he opens up to Grace, you find a most tender and romantic boy.
❤️ it from start to finish.
The discussion between Seren and Grace about Pride and Prejudice was especially funny to me because they reminded me of Hardin and Tessa in After.

“Why do you like me?” I asked again, not letting him off the hook so easily. He didn’t hesitate. “Because when I’m with you, I don’t feel so broken.”

Seren is a contemporary, new adult/ coming-of-age, bully romance and my first ever read from the author.

I liked the narrative of the story. It is direct, no unnecessary prolonged drama, and no OTT alpha. The FMC is relatable, definitely not a push over and a bad-ass without being a snowflake. Because of these reasons, this book acts as a palette cleanser for me among the other bully romances.

The main characters are well fleshed out and you can feel their chemistry. I loved that Seren and Grace had each other to heal from their personal losses. I think that in itself attracted them to each other as both of them were feeling lost and lonely even in company of their present loved ones.

I'm intrigued with Saint and Sawyer (Seren's brothers), most especially Saint with his behavior towards Grace as the story progresses. So, my fan theory? I think he is secretly in love with Grace but had to stepped back because of Seren and the kicker is, Saint saw Grace first.

Overall, a very nice, must read for lovers of this trope.

Wow did I hate Seren at the beginning of this book! I probably hated him as much as Grace did! But he definitely grew on me. Grace is a senior in high school and has lost her father. She now has to move in with the rich family her mother works for and live is the same house as their 3 spoiled sons. If that’s not bad enough the son that is her age hate her as much as she hates him…..or does he? This was a extremely emotional read I was not expecting it to be as emotional as it was for me, but I really enjoyed the journey it took me on. This was a great story about loss, family, high school drama and the dysfunction that comes with it. Both Grace and Seren have been thought a lot and have the emotional baggage to prove it. This story had several layers that had a few twists and turns. The characters had great depth and I really enjoyed the brother banter and bond. I am looking forward to reading more books by this author and hopefully in this series.

Seren is a story about perseverance and the strength that can be found when you allow yourself to be loved!

Both Seren and Grace carry deep wounds! Their pain is their armor and together these two clash in the best ways! When Seren finally admits to himself his true feelings things start to turn and they both start to heal each other! What they didn’t count on was a hidden enemy that will stop at nothing to keep them apart!

Grace is the epitome of strength and dignity! The way she took on not just Seren but other jerks around her was awe inspiring! I have to say that the Pride and Prejudice references seriously solidified this story as a fave!
