Anna Durand is a bestselling, multi-award-winning author of contemporary and paranormal romance. Her books have earned bestseller status on every major retailer and wonderful reviews from readers around the world. But that’s the boring spiel. Here are some really cool things you want to know about Anna!

Born on Lackland Air Force Base in Texas, Anna grew up moving here, there, and everywhere thanks to her dad’s job as an instructor pilot. She’s lived in Texas (twice), Mississippi, California (twice), Michigan (twice), and Alaska—and now Ohio.

As for her writing, Anna has always invented stories in her head, but she didn’t write them down until her teen years. Those first awful books went into the trash can a few years later, though she learned a lot from those stories. Eventually, she would pen her first romance novel, the paranormal romance Willpower, and she’s never looked back since.

Anna has once again taken back to the lives of these hot Scots/British and the women that bring them to their knees.
Callum is a firefighter that has been injured on the job month ago and not only it this injury affecting him physically, but it is taking its toll on him mentally. He is set up unbeknownst to him with a therapist that has a dual specialty. She will help heal the body and the mind.
Katie is looking for a new start. She is recently divorced and decided to take the leap and move across the pond and take on a new home, job and country all at the same time. What she isn't expecting is finding a gruff, grumpy, stoic quite attractive man in her waiting room as her next patient. They get off on quit the wrong foot and she soon finds she is requesting help from Callum's best friend Hugh.
Now we seem to have both men with a bit of interest in this wonderful woman. Callum must find the strength within to heal and be honest about what and who he really wants. Callum and Katie are funny, sweet, have great banter and now let's add in Hugh for a bit of sassy conflict!

This is heavy on the comedy - a fun ab workout I truly enjoyed

I dropped into the series here so I had no idea who some of the characters were but it did not impact my understanding or connections. The author does a great job of giving small intros as we go -
However, it did leave me wanting to go back and read the first book
This was a fun back and forth romance that left me feeling good and wanting more

I enjoyed the hither and thither romance between our surly Scott (he carries guilt that he should not) and his drill sergeant head shrink Kate
Hugh was more of a handful (I think he fears being alone )as the story played out but I know he will get his HEA as well

One kiss and things just go all cattywampus for the three of them
This is where the American Wives Club come in - though they were already intending to fix things - think meddling family and best friend's friends stepping in because they know what is best and can see what you cannot

Things work out but as we all know - the real fun is in the journey

This was my first book from this author and I enjoyed it.
This cover was a little deceiving though because the last thing I expected was a love triangle.

Best friends Callum and Hugh both fall for Kate.
She's recently divorced and living overseas, looking for a fresh start. Callum is her newest therapy patient. He hurt himself while on the job and resigns because of his injury. His best friend Hugh comes to offer support when Callum reaches out to complain about his forced physical rehab.

Callum is grumpy and Hugh is determined to win her over.
Who will she choose?

With a little help from the American Wives Club, Kate will be able to make her choice and the guys will be able to settle their differences and clear the air.

Thanks so much to the author and Grey's for this ARC to review.

This is a story about a Scottish man Callum & an American girl Kate.
This is a fast paced, sweet story about their love story. Although I found it more comedic than romantic. There's also some spicy scenes which you may like. It has a story of love triangle between Callum, Kate & Huge.
It started greatly, but honestly did not reached to my expectations at the end. But I liked it anyway, mostly because of the comedy & sarcastic scenes.

Although I have to admit, that Callum seems to me more sexier with his Scottish accent 🤭

I need the MacTaggarts to stop finding their true loves so I can marry into the family.

Callum suffered an injury nine months ago and Jack, wanting to help him, sent him to a new physical therapist and psychologist. And paid for his time. And Kate has a no-nonsense approach to her work. And after one session, Callum does his homework and called his friend Hugh.

Hugh meets Kate and once he knows Callum isn’t interested, pursues him. But one frustrated kiss from Callum changes all his feelings for her. So when this turns into a sort of love triangle, the American Wives Club mobilizes and comes to the rescue.

Callum and Kate get their happy ending in this stand-alone book in a series. Hugh’s happy ending seems to be upcoming.

I loved how involved the American Wives Club was from just complaint calls early in Callum’s recovery. And I hope Callum is there for Hugh when he finds his true love and inevitably messes things up to begin with. Maybe with Kate’s help.

And although this is a Hot Scots/ Hot Brits/ Au Natural crossover, I would have loved to have more of an update from the Au Natural group. But it was fun to see Damien show his skills. And even though I was hoping for more, it didn’t detract from the book.

I received an advance review copy from the author in exchange for an honest review.

'What a return to my first Anna Durand read of 2022, and to bonnie Scotland itself! I had a hard time slowing down reading this book, I simply devoured it with gusto!

Thank you to Greys Promotions for sending me an ebook Advanced Readers Copy of this book to read and review. This is my honest, spoiler-free review of 'The American Wives Club' by Anna Durand'

------------------------------------

Where to start with this read? There's just so much to unpack and only so many characters to write a review with. I haven't been this blown away by an Anna Durand read since Rory in a Kilt--which still remains my firm favourite till this day--, and I'm very pleased to have The American Wives club as another 'top read' of 2022 to add to my growing list. Read on in this spoiler-free review to find out why.

First of all, I'm in awe of this three series crossover! Not only do we have some Hot Brits in this read, we also have some Hot Scots and a few Au Naturels in the mix too. There's definitely more than enough players in this read for a game of shinty, or two, with firm favourites returning for cameos here and there when we both expect it and least expect it. I was certainly glad to see a few of my favourite characters pop up--Rory of course is one of them--, as well as an array of MacTaggarts and their relatives. You're truly spoiled for choice between beasts of Brits, big bears for Scots and a dash of Americans in there too, besides the American Wives Club themselves. Yes, we get the men too!

Praise must be given to Anna for writing and creating a sensitive side to a male lead, without it coming across as demeaning or degrading. As you'll discover when reading The American Wives Club, Callum (one of our two leading men) meets Kate (our leading lady), by roundabout way of his brother, Jack, and the why's behind how he came to be in need of Kate's services isn't easy for Callum to deal with or speak aloud. Hence Kate intervening to make his life easier, though it is anything but at first. Men aren't usually written to show their vulnerable, softer side, and we get a peek at Callum's at various points throughout the novel and as he opened up his heart and mind to Kate, it was hard not to fall head over heels for the once surly Scot.

Of course with any Anna Durand read, you're 1001% guaranteed that the heat will be brought. The American Wives Club--or rather, Callum and Kat--step up and raise that heat to a burning inferno. Callum is, of course, a Hot Scot, after all. I'm very much looking forward to hearing this novel in audiobook format, I just know my cheeks will be blushing crimson at many of the scenes throughout! Bring water with you, or a cool flannel, for those cheeks of yours when you read this book, dear readers. You're going to need it!

I do have to thank Anna for one thing though, as I did over on Instagram when she posted about this book, is that I will never be able to in a good way, re-watch the shinty scene in Outlander the same way after reading this book. I don't think I've both laughed and bit my lip so hard at a moment in a book for a very, very long time. And it's safe to say that I will be picturing that moment in this book when I watch that scene in Outlander again. More specifically, how much more I'm going to enjoy the scene thanks to Anna. So, thank you Anna! Thank you very much! :D

Suffice to say if I could give this book more than a five star rating, then I would. So for review's sake I'm giving it the full five stars, but it truly deserves at least 100.

Thank you Anna for a read I would honestly and totally put on my bookcase with pride, and will keep on my kindle app for forever and a day.

Five stars to The American Wives Club & to Anna Durand!

*Audiobook Review*

Don’t tell Rory MacTaggart or Jamie Fraser, but Callum may just be my new favorite Scottish hero! I loved this mashup of Anna’s Hot Scots, Hot Brits, and Au Naturel series. It’s Lord Steamy vs. the Highlander to win the heart of the American lass. In the second tri-series crossover, Anna knocks it out of the park with this Brit v. Scot matchup. It’s a low-angst, funny, steamy love triangle romance. What’s at stake? The heart of the fierce American physical therapist who has sworn off love. After being badly burned by her ex, Kate Wagner is career-focused and has zero interest in being romanced. That is until the suave Lord Steamy and the gruff grumpy highlander darken her doorstep. Callum is the brooding, damaged MacTaggart who just wants to wallow and move on from his career-ending injury. When his brother sends him to physical therapy in Inverness, Callum travels far from home to rehabilitate his injury. When Kate Wagner meets Callum MacTaggart, sparks fly and tensions run high. It is truly sunshine vs. the grump; the rigid American she-demon vs. the rude as hell highlander. Their working relationship runs stiff as their personalities clash. When Kate and the likable Lord Steamy meet, he oozes enough charm to melt even the most hardened heart. Is it instalove for the Viscount and the vivacious redhead? Will the seductive ladies man win the dame or will the lass fall for the grumpy, standoffish Scot? If you’re a fan of grouchy, swoon-worthy Scottish bikers who smolder, you’ll love Callum! Are smooth-talking Brits with charm for days your thing? You’ll swoon for Hugh Parrish!

“Normal hasn't worked out so far. Might as well try a holiday in crazy town.”

The MacTaggart Clan is up to their usual shenanigans, which means sexy Gaelic phrases, shinty, and even a wee bit o’ witchcraft. Determined to help each MacTaggart find their happily-ever-afters, the American wives club has earned a reputation as meddlesome matchmakers. With a one-hundred percent success rate, who can blame them for keeping up their efforts? If you think the American wives club does all the meddling though, think again! The MacTaggart men enjoy sipping the tea and meddling, perhaps even more than their American counterparts. I love Anna’s well-rounded, dynamic characters. The MacTaggart family is so closely woven, I love how they have each contributed to the other’s stories. Anna flawlessly combined her stories in this multi-series plot. I enjoyed how each element of the Hot Scots, Hot Brits, and Au Naturel series emerged throughout The American Wives Club. If you’re a fan of hot accents and a strong heroine, you won’t want to miss this audio!

“I need to show her I am not a grumpy Scottish bear and that we can have something good together if she'll give us a go.”

Zach, Stella, and Shane are all go-to narrators for me. The three of them together are absolutely fabulous! Broody Scottish Zachary Webber is hands-down my new favorite Zach! His accents are flawless and he gives a distinct voice and personality to each character. I love Zach’s range and characterizations in this audiobook. There are a lot of characters to bring to life, and he did so, fantastically! Stella Hunter is a magnificent force as Kate Wagner. As the unrelenting physical therapist, she gives the character a passionate, funny, sultry personality. She brings Kate and every other character to life beautifully. Her accents are on point and she seamlessly alternates between female and male characters. Shane is perfect as the consummate charmer, Hugh Parrish, AKA Lord Steamy. Shane’s honeyed, seductive voice masterfully embodies Hugh’s lighthearted and suave personality. Shane and Zach balance each other perfectly as they bring the effervescent Brit and the prickly Scot to life. Stella magnificently rounds out the trio with her feisty, brilliant, sensual American heroine.

This is a cross-over story of Hot Brits, Hot Scots and Au Naturel Series by Anna Durand. It gives us a chance to catch up on quite a few beloved characters from those three series. It's about Callum MacTaggert , his physiotherapist - psychotherapist Kate Wagner & his best friend Hugh Parrish. Callum and Hugh end up competing for the same woman that causes a rift in their friendship. Callum's brother Jack has paid for Callum's therapy with Kate so he has to go. Jack thinks his knee injury is mostly psychosomatic & wants to help him get over his grumpiness that is out of character. This story is chocked full of family meddling that they are all so very good with. Eventually we get a happily ever after between Callum & Kate, and between Callum & Hugh, but it takes a bit.

This story felt like it had two parts. I loved the second half of the book. It was all about the family getting Hugh & Callum face their individual problems and get their friendship back together. This was typical family manipulation, an intervention if you will, at the family castle. This intervention was fun and enjoyable and I ate it up. I loved seeing everyone come together with their particular talents using them to help Callum and Hugh. Hugh & Callum have to do some real soul searching to sort out and face their hurts. I thought that was good. I can't wait for Hugh's story.

The first part I just didn't buy into, but the second half was delightful. You just have to go with it and buy into the story.

***Spoilers from her so stop if you don't want to read my problem with the story+++

Kate violates her oath of doctor & patient by getting physical with him. This just hit me wrong from the start. She as a licensed therapist let it go on too long before she referred him to another therapist in my opinion. Apparently they are drawn to each other from the start even though it looks like they take an instant dislike to each other. Yes they are hot together, but the rule breaking is a no go for me.

I voluntarily read and reviewed and advanced readers copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

**Audio Review**
The American Wives Club by Anna Durand was a fun, hilarious, and entertaining good time! I loved the first Crossover book in her Hot Brits/ Hot Scots/ Au Naturel worlds, so I was super excited to dive into this one. Callum and Kate's romance had me hooked, laughing and loving their relationship from start to finish! Who doesn't love a grumpy Scotsman falling for his sassy, sexy therapist!

This audiobook is narrated by Stella Hunter and Zachary Webber with Shane East. I was absolutely blown away with their performances. Zachary Webber can perform an Scottish accent like no other! His ability to switch seamlessly between a Scottish, British, and American accent is so impressive. Zach is also great conveying Callum's conflicted emotions, as he comes to terms with his true feelings for Kate, and mending his friendship with Hugh. Stella Hunter gives a bold, sultry performance of Kate, really showcasing Kate's passion for her job, and her magnetic pull to Callum. Shane East narrates a few chapters as Hugh, Callum's best mate, who also has an issue with hearing the word no. I love how Shane's narrates Hugh's sexy arrogance! All three narrators were entertaining and had me captivated by their performances!

Overall, I enjoyed this audiobook. If you love a Hot Brits/ Hot Scots/ Au Naturel Crossover story with a grumpy hunky fireman, a fierce devoted therapist, a complicated best friend, a meddling American Wives club, catching up with all your favorite MacTaggarts, games, trips to castles, secret sexcapades,
meeting the family, mending relationships, Scotland, and an HEA that will have you believing in second chance love, then you will love Kate and Callum's story! I always look forward to more from Anna Durand.

I voluntarily reviewed a copy of "THE AMERICAN WIVES CLUB" (HOT BRITS, HOTS SCOTS) This was such an addicting humorous, heartwrenching story, full of passion, secrets, intrigue, betrayal, twists that make this a page turner.
Kate Wagner is a no nonsense therapist dealing in the physical & mental healing issues she works with Jack MacTaggart who pays for his brother Callum MacTaggart's treatment worried about him since he injured himself during a rescue at a house fire.
Callum is a hot brooding, grumpy, Scotsman who thinks he's doing fine not happy about the therapy sessions with Kate they butt heads from the beginning he invites his Best Mate Hugh Parrish a Brit to come visit.
Hugh is taken with Kate but she rebuffs him at every turn but he's determined he'll win her over Callum told him to go for it he want interested but Kate had feelings for him but didn't act on it until that one kiss.
Hugh & Callum get in a big fight because he thinks his Best Nate betrayed him even though Kate turned him down told him she felt nothing for Hugh outside of friends.
The American Wives Club intervened getting everyone to Dundubhan Castle where everyone goes for the intervention between Callum, Hugh & Kate to repair what happened & tell the truth about everything this was so interesting to read,
I definitely recommend to get this amazing read my first book by Anna Durand she did a great job writing this book I thoroughly enjoyed this story & all the characters.
I'm so looking forward to the next book "RELENTLESS IN A KILT" "Magnus MacTaggart & Piper Lang's" story in this terrific crossover series.

The American Wives Club to the love and friendship rescue
The American Wives Club (A Hot Brits/Hot Scots/Au Natural Crossover Book 2) by Anna Durand is an unintentional, sort of, love triangle. There’s only two people involved in romance, and even that happens unintentionally! Callum and Kate, although attracted to each other, only seem to bring out the worst in each other to begin with. However, in Kate’s defense, she really is trying to help Callum. Grumpy, surly, contrary Callum is downright determined to ignore all his problems, one of them being communication, and thus, the reason for the American Wives Club’s need for intervention.
Callum, Kate and Hugh take the reader on quite the emotional roller coaster ride while the whole cast of characters from three fantastic series bring levity through a rather unorthodox intervention. There’s plenty of Gaelic insults, testosterone, competition and even nudity involved that creates a very entertaining visual picture! Thank you Ms. Durand ;) I absolutely loved this story, characters and especially swoon-y, toe-curling, dirty, flirty Scot Callum. Hugh and his perspective, as well as his subplot is a unique, sticky, anger inciting and somewhat awkward (for the characters) addition to Callum and Kate’s developing relationship while also creating interest and speculation about Hugh himself.
Overall, Callum the most recent Hot Scot finds his forever love in American, Kate who is the next member of the American Wives Club. With all the MacTaggert’s behind them, a HEA is guaranteed.
I read an ARC of this book and voluntarily share my review.

This multi series crossover is an accent filled love triangle of fun.

Because this is a crossover you're getting exposed to a lot of characters from various series that have already found their Happily Ever After. That being said, it completely stands alone and you never feel like you're lost not knowing their various tales. If you've read some of the stories before and recognize characters/couples it's a fun nod that will make your heart happy. But for the others, it's just be a nice hint that there's more to explore in the greater world of Anna Durand's books and you can go consume more.

Callum is a former firefighter turned carpenter recovering from an injury to his knee and to his spirit when his brother convinces him to try physical therapy with Kate. She also does emotional/mental therapy so he's in for a double whammy of healing intentions.

Kate is trying to help Callum heal both physically and emotionally, she can see there is more to his story than he is sharing. But in addition to fighting his grumpy demeanor, she has to fight her growing physical attraction to him.

Hugh is Callum's long time best friend. When Callum reaches out at Kate's request as part of his therapy, Hugh takes it on himself to come and help the grumpy Scot get better. When he arrives, he sets his eyes on Kate. Lord Steamy has acquired a new target and he will use all his tools to win her.

The three get into a tangled knot of intentions, attraction and secrets that only honesty and the meddling of Callum's family and their significant others (the self proclaimed "American Wives' Club") can sort out saving Callum and Kate's budding relationship as well as Callum's friendship with Hugh (Lord Steamy is an honorary MacTaggert after all).

This story is mostly told in Callum and Kate's point of view but the fun part of how this story has been told is that we get a few instances where we get to be inside Hugh's head too.

The audiobook is performed by a super swoony Scottish accented Zachary Webber, the ever talented Stella Hunter and for 4 chapters, the British perfection of Shane East. Each of these narrators are amazing at bringing these characters to life. Zach's Callum is grumpy and bitter and very reluctant to trust. Stella's Kate is hesitant at first with Callum, torn internally with how to handle her feelings and his. Shane is arrogant and pompas exactly as his character "Lord Steamy" needs to be.

I received an advance copy of the audio in exchange for my honest review.

This is the second book in a series crossover. It can be read as a standalone book, since others in the series have introductions as the book progresses.

Callum was injured in the line of duty as a fireman. Even though it has been months, he has not recovered physically or mentally been prepared to consider returning to his duties or considering an alternate career. His brother, Jack, is done leaving Callum alone and signs him up for both physical and psychological therapy with Kate. All prepaid. Callum fights hard against the help Kate wants to give him. Kate has no intention of giving up on Callum. As they clash, Callum complains to his best friend, Hugh, who rushes to his side. Callum finds himself at the same time infuriated with Kate and wanting to kiss her. When Hugh asks if he can make a move for Kate, Callum tells him to go ahead because she just drives him crazy.

So starts a love triangle. Hugh, used to women swooning over his British title and good looks, not figuring out why Kate isn't responding like normal. Callum finding himself more and more attracted to Kate but not wanting to act on that attraction. Except when he really does. Kate fighting off both men due to a bad experience in her past making her want to concentrate on just her career. Will they work it out without any heartbreak? Will the very big MacTaggart family and all their American spouses be able to keep from interfering or will they be all over finding a solution for the trio?

I am a big fan of Anna Durand's romantic comedies, and this cross-over reunites us with characters from her most popular romcom series - Hot Brits, Hot Scots and Au Naturel.

Every MacTaggart man is a force to be reckoned with, and their true loves always turn out to be fierce, determined and amazing. When Callum MacTaggart meets the woman that is destined to make him believe in love, a little bit of intervention from The American Wives Club, the American women that married in to the extended family.

After suffering an injury on the job, Callum has been sidelined as he recovers, and his brother Jack has set him up for therapy with Kate, who is both an physical therapist and psychologist. Kate is no-nonsense and is determined to make sure that Callum takes his recovery seriously, and he calls in his best friend, Hugh Parrish, to come to his aid. The result is a bit of a love triangle, but it's no secret that Callum and Kate wind up together. Anna will have Hugh's happy ending in another book.

The America Wives Club definitely understood the assignment and meddled to make this HEA come true. And the time spent with prior characters was so much fun - it's like visiting with old friends! This book is full of classic beloved MacTaggart swagger and charm, Anna Durand humor, heat and headstrong and heartstrong characters. Loved it.

I received a copy from Booksprout; this is my honest review
-We get pretty fast why Callum is grumpy and altogether really not happy in his life. Kate is unprofessional on so many levels I'm not sure what to think.
-Hugh is a great BFF and I had to admire his tenacity with Callum but not with Kate.
-It came up 2-3 times, but yes it's possible to have s** on a motorcycle while one is driving so stop thinking it's impossible and put your dream to reality!
-There are many repeats such as Hugh wanting to date the woman Callum is not interested in (4x) or about the Scotch pies nicked from Callum's mother's kitchen (5x) and that Callum is not as good a flirter as Hugh (3x).
-For a person who went on rehab for 12 years, saying Callum is in rehab for a tiny knee injury is a slap in the face. Try moving your toes, or fingers or just blinking. That would be rehab. If Callum quit after 2 days of rehab/therapy, he's a coward. Real rehab is so much worse.
-The lavender colored cuffs scene was a total riot.
-LOL impossible picture. Kate is plastered to Callum's backside and yet, he likes to have her bottom touching him! So ... she's looking backwards?
-The naturalists are back and of course everyone intervenes and they have events (clothing optional) to put a couple back together. I love those Scots.

I love when Anna Durand writes a story with crossovers because you get the best of all of her worlds together.

Callum is in Inverness to help rehab his knee he hurt as a firefighter. But being a stubborn Scot, he doesn’t think he needs any help and especially from the take no nonsense American, Kate. Even as he is putting up a stink, there is clearly an attraction neither wants to acknowledge. It isn’t until his best mate, Hugh, shows up and tries to turn the charm on Kate that Callum realizes what a numpty he is. But the two have a misunderstanding and this causes the American Wives Club to dispatch their meddling services to straighten out the mess they have caused.

This was such a fun story and I loved it so much. We get characters from the Hot Scots, the Hot Brits and the Au Naturel series so it’s an amazing set up with some of her best characters. I loved getting updates from everyone. Callum is a delicious grumpy snack who will win you over with his big heart. Kate is the perfect person to tame that grumpiness and she’s able to match his moods. Hugh was a swoony sweet Brit who portrays a player but he wants his HEA. The story had me laughing and swooning at the same time. The sneaky hints we get for the next two books has me anxiously waiting for them.

4.5 Stars for The American Wives Club ( A Hot Brits/Hit Scots/ Au Natural Crossover #3)
This may be a kind of love triangle but it is still ultimately a love story, this is Callum McTaggert and his physiotherapist Katie Wagner and his best friend Hugh Parrish’s journey.
Katie and Callum have an instant attraction but they only seem to bring out the worst in each other. He is grumpy and broody and she is trying to do her best by him, with plenty of miss communications and mixed messages this means we need an invention and that is where from The American Wives Club come in. The American Wives Club is coming to the rescue for love and friendship as they try and put the love back in Callum and Katie’s relationship and they also try to mend fences in his friendship with Hugh so will there be a HEA or will the roller coaster of a ride be just too much ……
This is a wonderful romantic comedy that will appeal to a wide range of audiences, it has characters you will relate to, it’s full of witty banter and Gaelic insults, it’s swoon worthy, it’s flirty and dirty and I highly recommend it.a great read to escape with.

Anna does it again!!! I love the Hot Brits/Hot Scots/Au Naturel crossovers. It's one huge family reunion and lovely checking in with the prior couples who got their HEAs.

Callum, Kate, and Hugh definitely brought the steam and the funny. I snort laughed my way through this one when I wasn't fanning myself. I appreciated Kate's confidence in knowing exactly what she wanted in the bedroom. Get it, girl! Callum's vulnerability and sweet side were so unexpected and completely melted my heart into a gooey puddle. Hugh's confidence was as expected and smooth as a fresh jar of Skippy. BUT, his big revelation made me want to wrap him in a hug and tell him he's so much more.

Stella, Zach, and Shane were soooo swoony and as fabulous as ever. It was my first time hearing Zach's Scottish accent and... *DEAD* Please give us more!

I can't wait wait until the American Wives Club mobilizes again and the ensuing shenanigans that are sure to follow.

Anna Durand continues to leave me enthralled with the Family MacTaggert in this Hot Brits, Hot Scots, Au Naturel, crossover book narrated by the fabulous trio of Zachary Webber, Stella Hunter, and Shane East.
And Gaelic is flowing throughout! Zachary Webber displays his narrating skills as he switches effortlessly between his Scottish accent and Gaelic in his portrayal of growly, stubborn, hot Scot Callum MacTaggert. Stella Hunter’s sultry voice is a perfect blend in her portrayal of feisty, independent, Kate Wagner. Then enter in Shane East as the smooth talking, never-been-turned-down hot Brit Lord Steamy Hugh Parrish, and it’s a melting pot of steamy situations and well-protected secrets.
I loved getting reacquainted with all my favorite meddling MacTaggert wives as Anna Durand skillfully wove them into this story. Love this entire series and always look forward to more more more!
Thank you Anna Durand for the opportunity of an alc.

This is one of my favorites of these series! I loved Callum, Hugh and Kate! Each one has their own uniqueness. Callum is all grumpy and frumpy! He is being forced to do something he doesn't want to do. So a bad attitude is all Callum. Hugh is his bestie Brit who comes to save him from the American Wives Club. He becomes more involved than he intended. Kate is one of my favorites. She is no nonsense and takes her job seriously. I loved all her “Mmmmm-hmm”’s toward Callum when he is complaining. These three are the heart and soul of this story.

Then we come to a point of the American Wives Club has become mobile and is fixated on Callum. There is a lot of Scots, Brits and a few nudists involved. What these guys are up to make me laugh. Poor Callum and Hugh.

I did listen to this gem on audio. It has an all star narration that rocks all those accents! Zachary Webber, Stella Hunter and Shane East all do an outstanding job and really enhance this for my listening pleasure!

I highly recommend to listen to the previous series for a better enjoyment. OMG! This crossover series is amazingly funny and steamy. Callum, Kate, and Jack are fantastic characters! Callum is stubborn and very handsome. Kate is sassy, feisty and independent. Jack is handsome and charming. I liked their direct and straightforward honesty. This isn’t a triangle neither a menage romance. The storyling is captivating, and it has some unpredictable twists and turns. This second installment is so good! Impossible to stop listening! I love the MacTagharts and their American Wives! They are amazing! The narration brilliantly brings this story to life. Stella Hunter, Zachary Webber and Shane East did an outstanding job with the narration. This definitely is a formidable team author/narrators, and the audiobook production is flawless. This audiobook is very pleasant to listen to. I enjoyed it, and I HIGHLY recommend this series!

This was my first taste of Anna Durand's world of hot Brits and Scots. Quick summary: Boy meets Girl (his physical therapist), they clash. Boy's best friend flies in to help, meets Girl and likes her. Boy realizes he likes her too. Girl is in bit of a pickle.

Callum MacTaggart is a bit of a grump, but underneath there's a soft side to him. Hugh Parrish, aka Lord Steamy, will charm the knickers right off ya. Kate Wagner is a boss lady who can put both of them in their place. I loved the story. There was humor, spice and a few heartfelt moments thrown in. The scenes with the MacTaggart clan were hilarious!

The performances by the narrators were great. I thought Zachary Webber's Scottish accent was top notch. His imitation of Shane East's voice was pretty spot on as well. Stella Hunter killed it as usual. Her voice is smooth as honey, and does so great with accents.

I highly recommend checking the book out!

I loved this book where the whole bunch is reunited again: the Scots, the Brits and of course the American Wives Club on their special mission.
And it’s definitely the hottest book written by Anna Durand so far.

The heat is on when Callum meets his physical therapist/psychotherapist Kate. They “don’t get along”.
Meanwhile Callum’s best friend Hugh is doing his utmost to seduce Kate. Which is fine by Callum, he doesn’t like her anyway. Sure! That is until….. Nope, no spoilers. But I could feel the heat radiating off the pages.

Favourite quotes:
Emery (one of the American Wives): “We’ve made it our mission to ensure no one in our family wrecks a chance at love out of fear.”

Kate: “MacTaggarts really are amazing. Generous, brave, smart, caring, and a thousand other things I can’t articulate.”

I received an arc of this book and this is my voluntary and honest opinion.

You think this is a love triangle but it's not! It's more of a cocky yet charming Brit, Hugh, who's never been shot down by a woman.
His bff Callum, the hot Scot, his attracted to his therapist/physical therapist (it was a weird concept but I went with it!). Katie finds herself with 2 suitors even though she repeatedly said she wasn't attracted to Hugh.

There were so many laugh out loud moments when you get this crossover of characters together! I haven't read/listened to all the books but that didn't prevent me from keeping up and enjoying all the banter, especially when they got to the castle.

I loved the setting, I loved the characters and I loved how this trio resolved their issues.

Narration by Stella Hunter, Zachary Webber and Shane East .. and you know it was stellar performances by all!

I enjoyed every moment of this book and most definitely the day they first meet! Callum is so grumpy and does not want to comply with his brother Jack’s wishes for him to get therapy, both mental and physical. Kate means business and not going to let Callum get away with anything. She does her best to help him no matter how much of a fight he puts up. She suggests he turn to his best friend to talk to him about what’s bothering him in the hopes that will help him learn to deal with his issues. What she was not expecting was Lord Steamy, Callum’s best friend Hugh Parrish, to try to put a monkey wrench into the whole situation. This book was funny and hot and I LOVED IT!
It was an absolute pleasure to listen to Stella, Zach and Shane in this book. They were fantastic with each character and their accent work was on point!

I thought this wa a fun romance. To be honest, I wasn’t sure about Callum at first as I thought he was a bit of a rough one, and so whiney! However, he eventually grew on me, and turned out to be a total sweetheart. I loved his chemistry with Kate and coulnt’ help but to giggle at some of their interactions/conversations. And once the “American Wives”/MacTaggers start interfering, I found it funny yet sweet. Though this was book 2 of the series it is a standalone as it still made sense though it is better if you have read the first book just so you know some of the minor characters.

I received a free advanced review copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving my fair and honest opinion.

*****This review is for the audiobook*****
Anna Durand is on a roll, so another MacTaggart bites the dust! I’m glad there are so many of them out there to keep us entertained with all of the Hot Brits, Hot Scots< Au Naturel shenanigans. Callum is very grumpy and a reluctant patient, so it’s a really good thing that Katie is feisty and up to the challenge. She is a no-nonsense therapist who specializes in the combination of physical and mental healing with a unique approach. Toss in there the complication of his sexy, adorable best friend, Hugh, also finding Katie to be irresistible. This has elements of an unintentional love triangle with some forbidden romance, all with some great humorous moments, sexy firefighter, and meddling by the American Wives Club make this a fun, steamy read that fits right into the sexy world of Hot Bits/Hot Scots/Au Naturel crossover hawtness.

Narration by Stella Hunter and Zachary Webber with Shane East is the chef’s kiss (no surprise). Accent work and performances are wonderful!

It's always fun to revisit with the crazy of the McTaggarts, Dixons, and their extended brood of misfits!

This story centers around Callum, Kate and Hugh. Kate is Callum's therapist and both he and Callum take a liking to her. It becomes a battle on who can get and keep Kate's attention and how else to settle the score than to duel it out, McTaggart-style.

This book had all the ingredients for an Anna Durand rom-com. It was fun, light hearted and silly and steamy.

The audiobook was so well narrated by Zachary Webber, Stella Hunter and Shane East. Zach Webbers accents I have heard before and have always been impressed; but definite hats off to Stella Hunter on this one. Her Scottish accent was magnificent! Shane East is always awesome as a grumpy Brit.

This is the second book in this amazing series, and this is Callum, Hugh, and Kate’s story. Callum and Hugh are best friends whose friendship is tested to the limits when they both want the same girl, Kate, who insists she does not want either man. Can Kate be convinced to take a chance on the two men? This is a well written fast paced story, which is sweet, humorous, entertaining, and with witty banter, meddling family, friendships, emotions, passion, secrets, intrigue, twists, betrayal, and love, which leads to a heartwrenching all-consuming page turner.

ALC review - This might be my favorite Anna Durand book yet! What a delightful funny romance! Zachary Webber just made me laugh out loud over and over! He is the perfect grouchy injured fireman who refuses help and Stella narrates a sassy but stoic divorced therapist bent on helping him while battling their inevitable attraction. The banter and the little bit of angst made this crossover story so much fun to listen to. Its spicy, humorous and mischievous! Cant wait for more crossovers especially with the Au Naturel world ! That was a wonderful surprise!
