This was my first read by this author, and far out! I was gripped from the first page and devoured the entire trilogy over a weekend. Each book was quite different, but each had it's own brand of darkness, intensity and suspense. Christopher and Ember's story will stay with me for quite some time - so very thought provoking, uncomfortable and heartbreaking, but also filled with hope for a true HEA for two people who survived hell and the machinations of others to find true and lasting love.

** 3.5 stars 🌟 ** This includes the complete trilogy. It's dark and oftentimes frustrating. The relationship between Christopher and Ember starts off on a twisted and depraved note. It's not a story for the faint-hearted. Kidnapping, captivity, forced marriage, stalking, murder, just to name a few of the things you will experience while reading this book. It's a ride, but in the end it was a rushed ending that brought the trilogy down. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
