From the New York Times bestselling author who brought you Damien Stark comes a sexy and suspenseful romance between a woman in jeopardy and the reluctant hero determined to save the girl but not lose his heart.
What’s more dangerous—a killer attraction that breaks all the rules, or the true killer who’s closing in?
Security consultant Ronan Thorne might be sex on a stick, but that doesn’t mean I should want him. After all, I’m Brandy Bradshaw, the Girl With the Worst Luck With Men. As for that one kiss we shared? That was nothing but a drunken mistake between friends. I know perfectly well that Ronan’s not a relationship guy. He’s got dark edges and dangerous secrets and so many scars.
But when I find my landlord dead in my living room, shot with a single bullet to the head, Ronan’s the man I cling to. I feel safe in his arms, and he has the skills to figure out what’s happening.
Except what he learns is that a case of mistaken identity has made me the next target.
Now we’re on the run together, but I’m not prepared for the heat that flares between us, or the tantalizing things he does to my body when we give in to temptation. He soothes my fear by showing me a different type of danger, sensuous and wild. It’s miraculous and wonderful, but terrifying, too. Because as soon as we catch the killer, I’m afraid Ronan will leave. And when he does, I know my heart will shatter.
This story is part of the Saints & Sinners series, but can be read entirely on its own.

════════════════
YAY! Finally Ronan and Brandy's story! They were in the first three books a lot as besties of Ellie and Devlin. And now here's their own book. And it was super exciting, mysterious, sparky, sexy, adorable... I really enjoyed reading this! I would've just wanted a tiny bit more. It felt a bit short. It wasn't really short, but still, I love that world and I wanted so much more about all of them! A bit more from their pasts and a bit more epilogue and a bit more danger and a bit more everything! But I liked it the way it was. The perfect little romantic suspense love story!
Can't wait to see what Julie will bring us next!
And can someone please get Netflix on the phone for this series please??
SINNER'S GAME was a very suspensy + mysterious + sparky + adorable romantic suspense love story! Run to your nearest amazon for your own Ronan - this one is MINE! ☺
Thank you to the Author for sending me an ARC! +releases feb 15th
The entire premise of the story was intriguing. Brandy is falsely accused of murder, and is the prime target of a killer. Ronan is there to help and protect her, going on the run with her, but despite his opinion on relationships, lines blur.
I loved the romance between the two, the build up tension with lingering looks and secret touches. The only comment I’d make is that I wish it was longer! I wished the climax had a bit more development, because I think it was rushed.
I also hadn’t realized this was part of a series, and even though this can be read as a standalone I wished I had read the other books first!
The adrenaline is still flowing! A fantastic book filled with romance, secrets and mystery! This story had very little angst and flowed from scene to scene. Raw emotions are challenged and the fast paced mission is written so well that I felt like I was there!
What a great story by J. Kenner, true to her form she takes you on a journey of hot love, excitement with a twist of danger! I loved this one! Brandy and Ronan have been dancing around each other for months now, and after a kiss at the wedding, she wants him more now than ever, but she's not a casual sex kind of girl, and he's not a relationship kind of guy. But when he finds Brandy in danger again, he's there to swoop in and protect her at any cost. Can he keep her at bay and not fall anymore for her than he already has? Read along and enjoy this story, I couldn't put it down it was so good! Grab this one asap
5 Star review of Sinner’s Game (Saints & Sinners #4) by J Kenner
Ms. Kenner writes a strong story that drew me in and had me riveted from the first to the last chapter. There was plenty of suspense, drama, heat and intrigue in Brandy Bradshaw and Ronan Thorne’s story.
Can Ronan protect Brandy from the danger she finds herself in? There is a good balance of romance and suspense and Sinner’s Game ticked the boxes for me. A fast paced, emotional story that was entertaining and one that kept me on the edge of my seat.
Ruthie – ☆☆☆☆ This is the fourth book in the series, but rather than concentrating on Devlin and Ellie, we are instead given the chance to see whether the chemistry between Ronan and Brandy has a chance. I would suggest you read the earlier trio of novels, but I think you could enjoy this story as a standalone and go back afterwards.
I really enjoyed this fast-paced, exciting mystery interlaced with a sizzling romance between two very unlikely companions. Brandy is an up and coming bag designer, who is Ellie's best friend. She is shy, and whilst she thinks Ronan is the most handsome man in the world, she considers herself very average, and so her crush will remain just that. Ronan works with Devlin, and his life is all about danger, and not making any commitments, in case he causes harm to someone he loves. In fact, love is utterly unacceptable in his life.
Obviously we know that somehow it will work out, but the unexpected complication of a murder with a twist and the ensuing drama makes this a really engaging read on a number of levels. I have to say it was a lot less stressful than Ellie and Devlin's story, but very entertaining, with a deliciously satisfying ending.
Avid Reader – ☆☆☆☆ M/F Romance
Ronan and Brandy are somewhat of an odd pair. They have this insane attraction, and both let it slip at their friend's wedding. But when Brandy finds herself in a situation that puts her life in danger, Ronan is not going to let his own personal agenda stop him from protecting her.
Brandy is a vivacious woman who has had bad luck in love. However, she is having fantastic luck in her business life. When Brandy finds herself the center of a murder investigation, she will have to rely on her friends to help her figure out who is killing in her name.
Ronan has lived his adult life seeking revenge. When he's just about to avenge his first love, he finds that he can't leave Brandy alone to face a murderer who's out for their own revenge. He has to make sure the love in his life, even if he won't admit it, will be safe. He owes her this, in his mind.
Ronan and Brandy will have to figure out if their past, present, and future can meld or if they are doomed to circle around each other for the rest of their lives. Logic and the heart sometimes don't make sense and in order to make sense of everything that's happening, the past will come to roost, the present will mesh their hearts, and their future is up for grabs.
This is a fast-paced story, and you will read faster and faster just to see how it all pans out. It's a great story and it was fun seeing the other characters from the previous books too. However, I would say that you don't necessarily have to read them in order to know what is happening in this book. But you'd be missing out if you didn't read the previous books.

: SINNER’S GAME is the fourth instalment in J. Kenner’s contemporary, adult SAINTS AND SINNERS, erotic, romantic suspense series focusing on the Devlin Saint Foundation that finances the programs for the rehabilitation of victims of trafficking, and the ultra-secret Saint’s Angels, that seek out and go after the traffickers and criminals. This is security consultant Ronan Thorne, and business woman Brandy Bradshaw’s story line. SINNER’S GAME can be read as a stand alone without any difficulty. Any important information from the previous storylines is revealed where necessary.
Told from first person (Brandy), and several third person perspectives including Ronan Thorne, SINNER’S GAME follows in the wake of the murder of Brandy’s landlord, a man she has never met, but a man whose secrets run dangerous and deep. As the team at the Devlin Saint Foundation and Saint’s Angels begin to investigate the who, what and why of the man who was murdered, all clues and information point the finger at our story line heroine. Desperate to protect the woman with whom he would fall in love, Ronan places Brandy under his protection but struggles with the memories of a loss long ago. What ensues is the building relationship between Ronan and Brandy, and the potential fall-out as Brandy is caught in the direct line of fire, and Ronan is unable to let go of the past.
Brandy Bradshaw knows evil first hand, and battles the memories and betrayal every day of her life. Falling for Ronan Thorne was easy but walking away was about to destroy her heart. Ronan Thorne doesn’t do relationships, and Brandy is all about love and a happily ever after. On the run with the woman who has stolen his heart, Ronan momentarily reconsiders his stance on relationships but memories from the past continue to push him over the edge.
The relationship between Ronan and Brandy began years before when Ronan was part of the team that rescued our story line heroine. Brandy had easily fallen for the man she considered her hero but Ronan wanted nothing more than a one-night stand. The $ex scenes are seductive, passionate and intense without the use of over the top, sexually graphic language and text.
The secondary and supporting characters include Ronan’s best friend and business partner /boss Devlin Saint, as well as Detective Lamar Gage, and several security specialists who work for Saint’s Angels. The requisite evil has many faces.
SINNER’S GAME is a story of betrayal, power, desperation and love. The premise is edgy, intriguing and captivating; the romance is provocative and hot; the characters are energetic and dynamic.

This one was a lot of fun. It does have characters who appear in previous books, and does reference some of those events, but it's done in a way that if you haven't read the books, you are still fully able to follow along with the events in this story, as it's focus is on things that happen on the page in this book.
Brandy and Ronan have a connection, and when he is not focusing on the reasons why they can't be together (and, well, he kind of has a pretty good one) his attraction to Brandy is one that he really doesn't want to fight.
The problem? He knows he should, or at least he believes he should. This makes him willing to be the guy who has a one night stand, but not a relationship. Due to things in her past (which are explained well enough for you to understand her) Brandy needs a relationship, to be able to trust any man that she is intimate with.
Through the events of the book, which I won't spoil, both come to see that they want to be together, as well as find themselves willing to see where things might lead if they end up giving in to what the other wants.
I thought this was really realistic. I think we have all been in places, and situations (even those that aren't romantic) where you find yourself needing something from someone that they are not able to give...so the decision becomes whether you adapt to meet them where they are, or let that potential stay unrealized. Neither choice is necessarily wrong, but it's at the crux of the relationship between Ronan and Brandy.
I was definitely engaged with the story and the characters, and I recommend this title.

J. Kenner is at it again, writing another perfect romantic suspense. SINNER'S GAME brings back Ronan Thorne and Brandy Bradshaw, the two best friends of Devlin and Ellie Saint, who I secretly hoped would get together. Even though this is a standalone, i highly recommend reading the previous books in the Saints & Sinners series, if only for some character background. So, settle in and prepare for a nail-biting suspenseful ride.
Ronan is an alpha, and like most men in his line of work he has an aura of dark and dangerous, but beneath the facade is so much more. Ronan is not a man who wants or needs a relationship, no this man is only interested in one-night-stands. Brandy is the opposite to Ronan, she's such a sweet woman who, because of her past, is looking for a relationship with a man she can trust.
Finding the dead body of her landlord, Brandy turns to the only man she trusts and who can protect her ... Ronan. These two have an attraction that is undeniable with sparks constantly flying, however Ronan continues to fight his growing feelings, but cannot deny the attraction. The more time they spend together, the closer they become. Can Ronan keep Brandy protected while also protecting his own heart?
Yet another superb read from J. Kenner, with romance, mystery, suspense, and action all rolled into one.
"I want him. His touch. His protection. I want to lose myself in his kisses and forget everything that's going on around us."
Let me start off by saying, I have loved The Fallen Saint series. Devlin and Ellie's story was just amazing! And now, we have the story of Brandy (Ellie's best friend) and Ronan (Devlin's closest friend and holder of all of his secrets).
There's nothing I love more than a broken hero that doesn't think he deserves the woman he wants, and keeps her at arm's length, until, that same woman shows him how wrong he is. That's what we have here with Brandy and Ronan. I liked the back and forth, the pushing of buttons, and of course, the steamy times. But, the story line seemed a bit far fetched for me and I just wish we had seen a little more in the previous books of these two that would have strengthened their back story and chemistry for this one.
Overall, I liked the book, and I love the series. I would recommend the Fallen Saint series to everyone!
I wanted to love this book. Really, I did. I give it 3.5 stars and it hurts me to do so. This book has amazing characters, we get to see some of Ellie and Devlin. We even get a little of Lamar. Of course we all love Ronan and Brandy. This rating was not about the characters so much as it was the story. The build up was not expected because everything was thrown at you immediately back to back to back. People were shooting, dying, etc and no one knew why. I finished the book and still don’t understand why the heck things happened how they did. It was so much stuff going on that I will have to do a few rereads just to understand what and why. Where the heck did the dog go and how?!?! ( I know where really, but how it was written he just disappeared) See!! Too much going on and too busy, made this book a tough read for me. And I hate that I feel this way.
This is an action-packed romance that had me turning the pages to see what was going to happen next. Brandy wants the whole shebang in a relationship and Ronan only does one-night-stands. The chemistry between them is off the charts and they just can't keep their hands off each other, but they have different outlooks on life. Will they be able to get together or are their worlds too far apart? This book is part of the Saints and Sinners Series and even though it is about a different couple, I just felt that I was missing part of Brandy and Ronan's story. A great addition to the series.
I received an early copy courtesy of Valentine PR in exchange for a honest review.
I was really excited for this book, but it was just okay. While Brandy and Ronan are acquainted from the previous books, this book lacked the the build up of their relationship (including their friendship). There is a little bit of character development, and while I enjoyed seeing Brandy's courage and Ronan's vulnerabilities, something about it felt very rushed. The idea behind the story is fabulous and I could see this being made into an action movie, but it just didn't work for me as a whole. Part of the reason I love this author is the spicy factor and for me, the author hasn't been delivering on that, which would be fine if she wasn't eluding to all types of spice, but only delivering on half of it. Maybe if this book had been a little longer, maybe it would have worked for me.
Its great to see finally Brandy and Ronan. I know just starting this book its going to be very hot between them. Poor Brandy she can't catch a break. She is such a sweet and loving girl but somehow chaos finds her. Lucky her she has Ronan to protect her. Which is exactly what they needed to force him to see he wants her. I wonder if we will get to see Cara or Lamar next love story. Great characters that are more than friends who become family.
J. Kenner once again intertwines the best of romance and danger. Ronan and Brandy have felt a connection that both do not want to admit, but when danger has Brandy in it's site Ronan makes the decision that he has to put it all on the line. The pages flew by and the story got better and better. You will not be able to put this one down.
Talk about a wild ride. I went through all of the emotions while reading this, once I picked it up I couldn’t stop. Brandy has already been through so much and once again bad things are happening. And once again Ronan is there rescuing her. Danger. Suspense. Love? All. Of. It. Definitely a must read!
Ronan and Brandy’s story was a good mixture of everything. Brandy to me is the epitome of resilience, she has been through so much she’s amazed me that she wasn’t scared afraid of her own shadow and enter Ronan who was perfect but he couldn’t see it and didn’t want to but protected her with everything that he had in him. These two were an inferno!!!!
Brandy and Ronan’s story definitely kept me on the edge of my seat, wondering if they would find the killer, if they would find love with each other and everything in between. I love that we got to see into Brandy and Ronan’s world and go on their journey together! A very hot, sexy couple! I want more of them though! Thank you Julie!
It is so great to finally see Ronan and Brandy find their way. It was a tumultuous journey full of action, drama, twists and emotion but worth the ride.
A stunning, suspenseful romance filled with murder, mayhem, secrets, lies, a distrustful hero who will never trust another with his heart and a fearful heroine who only wants love. Can Ronan keep Brandy safe and his heart intact without hurting her or will he lose it all? Loved it!!
This story was unpredictable and packed full of drama and suspense. I enjoyed the undeniable connection between Brandy and Ronan and that they both were struggling with demons from the past. An entertaining read that kept me on the edge of my seat.
Yes yes yess loved loved loved. Really loving this series. I definitely need to binge read this series again. I want to get the butterflies again diving in. It's a fantastic addition to the series full of suprise and intrigue. Read it ..I dare you

Interesting read. This book starts off rather abruptly for me, and after realizing that this book is part of a series, I think it might have to do with not reading the previous books. Brandi is living her best life after living on her own terms and doing things her way. All of that comes to a halt though when she is falsely accused of murdering her landlord and all the signs and evidence point to her. Ronan is attracted to Brandi, but he cannot get involved with her after his past, but when her life is in danger and someone is falsely accusing her of the unthinkable, he sets his revenge plans aside to rescue her first. We find out early on who the true murder is, and we realize that this storyline focuses on the bigger picture of Ronan’s past rather than Brandi’s accuse, and it turns out that both events intertwine. I definitely will be going back to read the previous books and see if that makes a difference in reading this book. I voluntarily read and reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.
It took a New York minute to for me to be excitedly transported back into the Saint and Sinners World with Sinners Game!! Sinner’s Game is a spin off book from the Saints and Sinners Trilogy. Only this time it is with Ronan and Brandy, besties with Devlin and Ellie. And let me tell you that it takes no time at all for these two to find themselves embroiled in life threatening situations. Furthermore, you are in for one undeniable page turning book… filled with lots of suspense, action, danger, plus there is plenty of sizzling sexy times too.
Ronan is a member of Devlin’s Saints Angels, men who work behind the scenes when a dangerous situation arises. Devlin and Ronan’s friendship spans years and as best man at his wedding he will be taking charge of things while Devlin and Ellie, Devlin’s wife are away. Then there is Brandy, best friend to Ellie who is there not only as her friend but as her maid of honor too. With the wedding over and the booze flowing it’s like a game of hide and seek between Ronan and Brandy as they watch each other from afar. That is until Ronan gets the nerve to seek Brandy out. And then there is a kiss between them, one she can’t forget. Was it merely a slipup by Ronan or was there more to it?
It's when Brandy meets a mystery man, whom she later learns is the landlord, that her world starts to spin a bit out of control. A man who acts as though he knows her, seems agitated with her, yet she has no idea who he is. Pushing this all aside when she notices that Ronan is at her home early, there to fix a plumbing issue for her. It’s then that she and Ronan find the same man shot to death in her home. This is when Ronan goes into protective mode with Brandy. Of course Brandy, who is confused by the day’s events quickly agrees to stay with him at his home. After all, Ronan kind of has a special place in Brandy’s heart and being with him has always makes her feel her safest. It's while staying with Ronan that the sparks really begin to fly!! After flirting around with self-restrained feelings, it’s the titillating nights alone that lead to some lines being crossed. But there is also an understanding that Ronan doesn’t do relationships, for reasons you’ll find out about. But Brandy will take what she can, while she can, broken heart be damned.
“Do I want you? Hell, yeah, and more than I want to admit. But that’s as far as it goes. I don’t do relationships. I don’t do courtships or slow builds. Not now. Not anymore.”
But things really begin to get complicated when they find a hidden camera in Brandy’s house. Not only that, but there is a Brandy look alike that shot her landlord, and is out there up to who knows what!!
So hang in there as the many twists and turns make you feel like you are in a windstorm. One thing is for sure, you’ll fall in love with Ronan!!
Absolutely recommend the Saints and Sinners Trilogy to everyone.
If you haven’t read the Saints and Sinners Trilogy, it is most definitely a One Click!! The series of books, in order are as below: My Fallen Saint My Beautiful Sin My Cruel Salvation
I’ve been excited for Brandy and Ronan’s book and it was worth the wait. They are so good together! Both have traumas in their past and while we know Brandy’s history, we did not know Ronan’s. He shares with her his reason for being unable to engage in a relationship yet neither can stop it from happening. It’s inevitable with them. And they make each other better, they make each other happy.
But while all of this is going on, she’s in hiding because of a murder. I can’t say more without giving it all away, but theft and murder cross her doorstep and nearly take her down and Ronan is the only person she trusts with her safety. And when all is said and done, she walks away because he is trapped in the past and cannot see what is right in front of him. But. And it’s a big BUT! Ronan jumps on his dark horse and comes riding in with weapons and agents to save the day!!
Brandy is tucked in the alcove under the staircase getting a breath of air. She is the Maid of Honor for her best friend Ellie and is so excited that she and Devlin have gotten married after everything they've been through. No, she's hiding from the Best Man who is heading directly for her. She has had a crush on him for the longest time and the last thing she expected was to be kissed.
Brandy's career of designing handbags is finally getting noticed and the last thing she needs is to be distracted by Ronan who has never shown anything for her except friendship and even though he kissed her at Ellie's wedding he let her know it wouldn't be happening again.
Ronan was an independent security consultant and Devlin's right-hand man at the Devlin Saint Foundation, a humanitarian foundation for victims of human trafficking. But hidden within the Foundation was the secret Saint's Angels. The members of the Saint's Angel do behind the scenes what the Foundation can't because Devlin is the billionaire vigilante who goes after the actual traffickers and stops them permanently.
Ronan is determined to keep his distance from Brandy. He is a one-and-done type of guy since the one woman he had ever loved was killed because he was unable to protect her. He has finally located the man who had been hired to his fiance Michelle and he was determined to avenge her death, but just before he was leaving Brandy comes home to find her landlord murdered. And when they find the hidden security cameras, they are shocked when it is Brandy who killed him.
I loved this book! It is very well written and drew me in immediately. The characters are full of depth and relatable. This is the first book I have read by J Kenner and although this book is a stand-alone novel, it is a spin-off from the Saints & Sinners trilogy and I can't wait to start at the beginning.
This book is action-packed and full of intrigue, suspense and danger. There are major twists and turns that will keep you turning the pages. I love Brandy and Ronan. Brandy is well-aware of the Saint's Angels after what happened to Ellie, but this is the first time she had been pulled into their dangerous world.
This book is a mix of 007 and Face/Off. Highly recommend this book and will definitely be reading more books written by J Kenner!
