Cinderella retelling with a beast!

The heroine: Elena - Elena works for a family with a wild daughter. Her and her friend aren’t invited to the Cinderella Ball for the Bachelor Beast reality show, but they have to sneak in to find the daughter before she is recognized. If the lady gets picked by the beast or hooks up with any man, then that guy is in danger from her family and Elena is supposed to make sure that doesn’t happen.
The Hero: Tane - he is an Atlan warrior who is the next one to be the Bachelor Beast. Though the producers of the reality show have gotten smarter after the first two beasts found their mates outside of the women who were selected for the show. Tane is the main event, but there are three other beasts and all of them are meeting hundreds of women at a Cinderella ball, with all the beasts dressed as prince charming. Though Tane knows as soon as he gets there that none of the women are his mate.
The Story: Warlord Tane knows that Elena is his mate the moment he sees her, and he immediately sweeps her off her feet and out onto the dance floor. I can’t say that I really loved the whole Cinderella/Prince Charming parallels. I wasn’t all that up on a massively huge muscular man in tights. Though I did like the story about Elena not being invited to the ball and sneaking in and leaving something behind when she had to run off.
I liked the characters, the steamy scenes and the fact that they were fighting against a villain who wanted to ruin them in a totally contemporary way. Though I didn’t like that they were pretty stupid about it all, when they knew the guy was up to something and out to take down the aliens, yet they just did what he wanted without thinking about it.
This audiobook was done in dual points of view via dual narration. It was narrated by Tor Thom and Marlaina Garrett. Tor Thom has an extremely deep voice which is perfect for the large beastly alien males. Marlaina Garrett has a clear feminine voice which works well for Elena.

This book was everything. First for me from Grace Goodwin and I loved it, loved it.
This is how I like my books. Short, steamy and quick to read. Elena and Tane were the perfect couple. The insta-love between them was soo soo good 😍😍😍.
I didn't know that the Interstellar bride universe consist from soo many books, soo soo many and every single one nice and steamy like this one. First chance that I have, I will go and read them all. That's a promise.

Beast Charming is a sweet and swoony story that will have us all wanting an Atlan!

Y’all, I can never wait to read a Grace Goodwin book…every time I open the pages it is like coming home to a fantastically fun, steamy, and entertaining family.
Warlord Tane is the newest Atlan on the hunt for a bride. Tane is Beast Charming this time, not "Bachelor Beast"... and he's searching for his Cinderella on live television. What could possibly go wrong with another Atlan warrior on TV looking for his mate? Tane greets all of the show's female invitee’s politely and graciously...He is slowly getting frustrated with the cameras and the costume when…. Uh oh… could that be? Cinderella?
Elena, our Cinderella, does not want to attend the Beast Charming ball, but she has a job to do and will do whatever it takes to get in and out! As she and her friend Dominique enter the ballroom, they split up in search of the errant young lady they need to rescue before she is recognized. Elena takes in her surroundings when she notices the mighty Atlan warrior across the room... the mighty handsome Atlan warrior.
That was the moment…their gazes met across the room... Atlan detects his mate's scent... and lust takes over! Yes, please! I'm a huge fan of the Interstellar Brides series! But it isn't all hot alien sex... It's also a fun story full of suspense, fantastic characters, emotions, and hot possessive aliens. I would gladly volunteer for the Interstellar Brides Program!
I enjoyed the characters and had a great time reading this book. I highly recommend this book and am excited to see what happens to Dominque and Abby!

Even if it's dressing up like a Prince on a live TV show. But it's not one of the contestants that catches his eye, but rather Elena, a girl who wasn't even supposed to be there. Beast Charming is everything you expect from a Grace Goodwin alien story. Hot, smexy alien. Fated mates. Scenting her from across the room 😅. Cute, quick, and steamy. Absolutely love it!

I am trash for fated mates and Beast Charming delivers! You get a bit of a twist on Cinderella, a dash of intergalactic racism, and a heap of hot romance!
Elena is a great heroine because she is smart and resourceful. She loves her job, but HATES her boss. With good reason as it turns out he is super xenophobic. When he realizes she has caught the eye of an Atlan Warlord named Tane, he encourages the relationship so he can twist it to fit his racist rhetoric.
Overall, I found this story absolutely charming! This will melt your heart and send your ereader up in flames!

I love a good fated mates read, and this book is just what I needed.

Tane, an Atlan warrior, is looking for a bride on Earth. His search is now being televised in front of millions of TV viewers, and the line of Earth women wishing to be his mate is long but fruitless. It turns out that the woman he is looking for is late to the ball, sneaking in not to be his one and only but rather to find her charge.
Elena is looking for the teen she watches over, and she's not happy that Abby has snuck away into the alien warlord's ball. Her mood changes, however, once the Atlan warlord sets his sights on her and claims she is his mate. But things are not as easy as they seem, because it turns out Elena's employer strongly opposes the presence of the warriors on Planet Earth and is using his power to banish them once and for all.
I love, love, love this insta-love alien romance. It is loosely based on Cinderella, but Cinderella was not quite as spicy as this book. And this Prince Charming is big, bad, growly, and I am here for it. While Tane might be an intergalactic super-warrior, I really enjoyed that Elena was no damsel in distress and that she and her friends held their own.
This is part of The Interstellar Bride Program series, but it can be read as a standalone. There are references and character cameos from other books, but Grace Goodwin does a great job in providing context so you don't get lost.
If you are dipping your toe into science fiction romance, I would consider this book a great starter into the genre. If you are an SFR veteran, this is a nice quick spicy read that you will enjoy.

Elena sneaks into the Bachelor Ball and catches the eye of Warlord Tane, who also scents his mate in her. Elena only went there to get her boss's daughter had a stolen invitation and a borrowed gown. Tane, the Atlan Warlord gets to dance with Elena, but she does get young Abby and quickly runs away to protect the teen from her father finding out she was anywhere near the aliens he hates. Once she leaves the Miami Event Center, Tane searches for his mate and when he finds her, both he and his Beast do everything they can to convince Elena that they are hers and she is theirs. I loved the Elena came to love both Tane and his Beast equally and even communicates and has very smexy times with both. As usual, anything by Grace Goodwin and a story about the intersteller brides is my kinda book.
I hope to see her friends find their alien loves in the future books to come.

Not going to lie, I do like these books (I’ve read the first 5). They’re always fast-paced and pretty hot (the Atlan warlord usually ‘scent’ their mate and then are all ‘mine!’). The storyline in this one was engaging and it had good action, but some of the writing felt a little overdramatic. Or maybe Elena had too much main character energy. I still enjoyed it though - the whole Bachelor Beast reality TV show just kills me, and I’m not tired it of it yet!

Beast Charming offers a unique twist on traditional fairy tales, blending romance and fantasy. While the concept is intriguing, the execution sometimes feels rushed, and character development could be more nuanced. Despite these shortcomings, the book provides an entertaining escape for those seeking a light and imaginative read.

The Interstellar Brides series takes place at a time where aliens are real and there are several different planets and species. There is a galactic enemy known as the hive, which is a technological species that invades planets and either kills its inhabitants or transforms their captives into one of them. A coalition was formed between the planets who are at war with the hive. Each member of the coalition is required to supply soldiers and brides to the cause. Soldiers to fight the hive, and brides to repopulate the diminished that have fallen victim to the war. Earth has become a member of the coalition. The Colony Series takes place alongside the interstellar bride series, but focuses solely on the residents of the Colony. The colony houses veterans of war, tainted with Hive technology. They cannot or will not return to their home worlds because of their cyborg hive tech, so they live the remainder of their lives on the colony. Even though brides have been sent to the colony through the interstellar testing system, it hasn’t been enough. Especially for the Atlans and their temperamental beasts. That’s where this spinoff comes in. Through hard work and PR, the human females of the colony have inspired a network to create a reality show for Atlan aliens. Similar to the Bachelor, women are narrowed down until one remains, and the beast offers his cuffs to the winner (opposed to the final rose and a proposal). Unfortunately, anyone who knows how Atlans work, would know that this setup is doomed to fail. Atlans are humanoid. They are massive in size (the largest of the alien species), and they have a split personality of sorts that is referred to as their “beast.” Their beast lives inside them, very much with its own personality, and only comes out during danger or mating fever. When the beast comes out to play, they grow bigger - with elongated fangs, sharp facial features and bulging muscles - and their main personality takes a backseat behind the scenes. Their beast won’t accept just any mate. They are very particular about who they consider “mine.” Did I mention that the Atlans are my favorite of the alien species? 🫶🏻
Written in first person, Beast Charming is book 5 in this series and follows the human bride Elena Garcia and her Atlan cyborg Warlord Tane. We first met Tane in book 6 of the colony series. He was the one in the fighting pits, fighting for the rights to court Gwen. He, Makarios and Braun were the only 3 who survived and escaped the capture from the hive in their group, and returned to the colony as brothers in arms. He was on Earth as one of the 5 beasts selected to participate as bachelor beasts in book 3 to replace Braun, but that book followed Bahre, who was also one of the selected. Tane, being the honorable Atlan he is, followed Bahre to end the threat against his mate Quinn from Cerberus. In this book, Quinn threw a Cinderella ball, with Tane as its Prince Charming. Elena wasn’t supposed to be at the party. She snuck in with someone else’s invitation in order to rescue her friend from making a mistake and angering her wealthy father, who was against aliens and the coalition. And, of course, she happened to be the one Tane’s beast recognized as his mate. Elena wound up running away at midnight, Cinderella style, until Tane hunter her down and claimed her. There wound up being a scandalous sex tape released, the work of her employer and best friends father. After everything was straightened out, they had a massive wedding ceremony that was broadcasted around the world before moving to the colony to live happily ever after. 🫶🏻
There have been way too many romance novels I’ve read that had me frustrated and yelling “Jesus Christ, when are they gonna fuck?! Get to the good shit already!” When we’re 50% in, and the main characters have barely kissed each other, leaves readers like me aggravated. Don’t get me wrong, I love me a well written buildup to sex, but most are anticlimactic. This is NOT one of those books. While Grace Goodwin has added more adventures as the series progressed, it is still, quite literally, word porn.
If you are reading this book, and all its associated spin-offs, in chronological order, I recommend reading this after book 4 of the Beast series and before book 22 of the IB series. As I’ve read through this series and all its spin offs, I can attest that the plot is incredibly addictive. I am way too invested in each book, in all its adventure and romance. This book was no exception. Highly recommend.

This is Atlan Warlord Tane, and human female, tutor, Elena Garcia’s story line. BEAST CHARMING can be read as a stand alone without any difficulty. Any important information from the previous story lines is revealed where necessary. THE BEASTS are a spin off/interconnected series with the author’s original Interstellar Brides Program.
Told from dual first person perspectives (Tane and Elena) BEAST CHARMING is a Cinderella-esque story line focusing on the mating of Atlan Warlord Tane, and human female, tutor, Elena Garcia. Bachelor Beast is a reality television program that focuses on the search for a mate but no human females are stirring Atlan Warlord Tane’s inner beast until the arrival of Elena Garcia, whose appearance has nothing to do with the show but the rescue of a young woman who has escaped her father’s home. Warlord Tane knows he has found his mate in Elena Garcia but a sexual encounter in the garden brings the mating of ‘aliens’ and humans into focus when discrimination and speciesism raises its’ ugly head. What ensues is the quick building relationship between Tane and Elena, and the potential fall out as Tane and Elena’s sexual encounters become fodder for the press and those hoping to end the Interstellar Brides Program.
Elena Garcia didn’t have any plans to meet a potential mate but removing her student from an impossible situation brings Elena face to face with her future in the guide of Atlan Warlord Tane. Their attraction is immediate and palpable, and separation from one another feels like heart break for our story line couple. Tane’s inner Beast demands to claim their mate but outside interference is about to bring their relationship into the public domain. The relationship between Tane and Elena is erotic, fated and intense.
We are introduced to Elena’s best friend Dominique, eighteen year old podcaster Abby, show host Chet Bosworth, as well as Tane’s fellow warriors Buhre and Quinn (Beauty and the Beast), and Warden Egara.

I love the Atlans so much. I'm always happy to see an Atlan warlord get his Bride. I'm even happier when it comes to the guys on the Colony, because they have sacrificed so much already, they deserve all of the good things ever.
Tane is on Earth and is appearing in a reality show to find his Bride. There's a huge ball, a la Cinderella, where he has to meet hundreds and hundreds of eligible women, even if he already knows that none of them are his mate.
Then in walks Elena, who isn't supposed to be there. She's only there on a rescue mission. Her goal is to save her young charge, Abby, from showing up on TV because it would cause massive problems with her father. That is until she meets Tane. Then her goal is to also mate this gorgeous Atlan.
I really liked Elena. She's really strong and protective. She's willing to do things that she didn't know she would do until she did it. I have some mad respect for her.
Tane is really brave. It is hard for him to stand there at that ball, but he knows the reason to do it isn't just for himself, but also for every one of the other Coalition fighters there as guards and everyone on the Colony. That has to take a lot of courage to do, especially with Chet Bosworth standing right there.

Warlord Tane (H) has been convinced to star in a televised Cinderella-like ball where it's hoped that he’ll find and claim his mate on live television - hmm, thinking back to first book's video performance. Elena (h) has snuck into the ball to follow the heiress she's supposed to be protecting. There's an instant attraction between the Tane (and his beast) and Elena but they’re interrupted before Tane can claim her and she leaves the ball just at midnight. Tane has to track Elena down and then they have to work together to thwart plans to bring down the Interstellar Brides Program. There's lots of hot, sexy action as Tane and Elena try to find their HEA. Love the heat and intensity of all the Beast books! This was such a fun take on Cinderella!

Grace Goodwin’s latest bachelor beast was fab. I’m loving the alien-beast take on the popular bachelor shows and everything that could be remotely considered typical for these types of ‘contests/shows’ goes to the extreme when a beast spies his mate. Having read book 1 in this series, I love how the contestants have shifted their reactions, and then of course, we have mayhem when the beast gets involved. Chet is an epic character who deserves his own story. If you like Ms. Goodwin’s Interstellar Brides program, then you definitely want to read these.

Elena doesn't want to have to attend the ball but it's her job so she has to take it. The best thing about this was the moment they locked eyes on Tane the story took off, I devoured it in a couple of hours.
Any book that has a Disney theme, I want to read because I'm a huge Disnerd and I love reading different people's perspectives on it and how they portray the couple. Emily was able to write a wonderful story that made my Disney heart happy, I'm now going to have to go and get the last 4 books in the series and any in the future.

I love this series! I can never get enough of the Interstellar Bride Program. I was thrilled to see Warlord Tane of Atlan get his story.
Tane is the latest Atlan to find his bride on the TV and at a Cinderella ball. Elena needs to get in the ball to get someone out. She doesn't imagine anyone like Tane though. They have a powerful connection. Tane and his beast have chosen Elena as his mate. Will they be able to find their happily ever after?

Another great book to the series! The author does a great job building the story and paints her scenes perfectly. She brings strong characters, pulls them together and finding their mates. I enjoyed reading their story.

I absolutely love Grace Goodwin books, especially the Interstellar Brides ones. This story was semi-short, sexy, sweet, and an enjoy to read. I really liked the characters and found the story very easy to follow along with and get sucked into. Can't wait to read all the rest of this author's books!

It's Tane's turn to find his special someone and the big guy is having a MAJOR Cinderella moment. Because Elena showed up, enraptured his beast, and then disappeared. Finding her wasn't necessarily difficult, but she's in a bit of a tricky situation they're going to have to work their way out of.
So, yeah. Cinderella ball with a Cinderella lady. Tane isn't about to let her slip through his fingers, but following her and staking his claim comes with its own set of problems. Mainly, her employer and his utter hatred of all things alien.
On Elena's end, she's sticking around because her employer's daughter needs her. She's knows her employer is ruthless, but she didn't expect to be caught in the middle of his machinations. And when Tane is targeted? Our girl shows the aliens (and everybody else in the world, really) what human ladies are made of. Let's just say that they get a whole lot of exposure on more than one level.
Yeah, Elena goes all in when she claims her beast and Tane (and the other warlords) are there for it! *thumbs up*

I love this series so I’m kind of biased! This storyline was modern and funny. I found both the hero and heroine to be mature and handled things in a way that made sense. In other words they didn’t do stupid stuff to create angst. It was a great plot, and the story was well told.
The steam was off the charts as usual! I love that about this series! This horn dog definitely gets satisfied with these tales of love, lust, and action! 🐶 🥰😍😍😜😜
As far as the narration I’ve heard way worse tbh. I’m so happy there was at least duet narration because I HATE when men try to feminize their voices. More often then not they do not sound right.

So this book was like a fairy tale made for t.v having the hot alien dressed up like a fairytale prince hoping to meet his mate at the ball.
She wasn’t on the list but luckily for the beast he found her and things got hot & heavy right away only she had to get a friend out of there so she left right after.
He found her and they were having a great time mating that is until her boss who hates the aliens uploaded a fake “rape” video to make everyone hate the aliens. So she decided to release the real tape to prove the first one wrong that she was a very happy willing participant!
The story was okay, the spice was great
