I really don't want to get into too much of what this book is about. It's a second chance love story with an edge. Lexi and Andrew were in love. The kind of love that most of us search our entire lives for. But outside forces were desperate to break them apart. Secret agendas, dark betrayals, and heartbreaking lies finally succeed at separating these lovers. Through the years, Lexi has held on to her anger and Andrew has lived his life with only her best interests in mind. Time and distance couldn't kill his love for her. And no matter how much she believes that she should hate him, Lexi can't help but still love him too. Will these two figure out the truth and will this knowledge make them an even more powerful force than ever? Read this delectable tale to find out!
This story was so freaking hot! Despite the fact that no actual "sex" happened until almost the end, the intensity of the buildup made my body all tingly.
So when Andrew and Lexi finally did the deed, it was the culmination of a lot of pent up frustrations, for them and for me. Their every interaction was heated by the way that these two wanted to tear each others clothes off. Whether love or hate was ruling their minds, their hearts knew that the touch of no one else would quench the thirst.
I'm a true sucker for second chances and this one was satisfying in ways I didn't even imagine it would be. It was hot, it was twisted, it was dramatic and it was entertaining. I'm not done with this couple yet and I'm beyond thrilled that their story will continue in Mortal Siege, the conclusion to their series.

The synopsis revealed this was a second chance romance with dark themes. I love a good second chance romance and despite rarely reading stories featuring dark themes; I looked forward to diving into Lexi and Andrew’s story.

Twisted Heartbreak is a second chance romance that will take you on a wild, intense, twisted and emotional journey. It introduces readers to Andrew and Lexi, who fell in love as teenagers. However, at the point of them exploring and embracing their feelings for each other, a cruel turn of events ripped them apart. From that moment on, their lives were never the same.
Fast forward seven years later, both Andrew and Lexi are a shell of the persons they once were having experienced horrific life-changing events. Determined to re-connect with Lexi, Andrew begins a search which revealed her closer than he imagined. Soon, both will embark on a journey of revenge to take down all who hurt them in the past.
My Views
Twisted Heartbreak was dark, and it delivered an interesting tale of revenge, obsession, and love. This was my first time reading the author’s work, and I enjoyed every moment. I definitely will pick up the next book as soon as it’s available.
Told from alternate POVs, the story moves between the past and the present. This allows the reader to understand the protagonists’ mental and emotional state, while providing insight into past events that has brought everyone to this current place.
The characters were complex and well fleshed out. We come to see how their pasts groomed them to become persons they are in the present. The manner in which they are portrayed will elicit different emotions. One will either dislike, like or emphatise with them. I am at a crossroads where Andrew is concerned. I had empathy for him as a teen, but as an adult, he’s done some questionable things in the name of love and revenge. Things which were cold and calculating. Lexi, despite still having feelings for Andrew, believes the worst of him. She blames him for the horrific incident which changed their lives. Even now, when evidence proves her blame may have been displaced, she finds comfort in holding him responsible. As a result, she placed herself in a precarious position, which led to serious repercussions for both her and Andrew.The story which moved quickly grabbed me from the first page. Entertaining, riveting, heartbreaking, and twisted at its core, Twisted Heartbreak took me on a dark and gritty journey. After that twisted ride, it left me hanging off a cliff. Triggers: Mention of rape, drug usuage, Alcohol addiction & Suicidal thoughts and attempts....
This is the first book that I've read by this author and it had everything that I love in a dark romance, the second chance love between two characters whose known one another since they were kids and how they were torn apart by something that happens in their lives, I also love how one of them despises the other for something that the other person didn't do but later on life they find their way back to one another and it continues like no amount of time has passed. One more thing I want to share is that before you go in it has a few triggers so look them up before you decide to read this and also this ends on a cliffhanger and I can't wait to read the last book in this series which will be called Twisted Rage so I can see how Andrew and Lexi's story ends.

This is Andrew and Lexi's story ...the story of 2 people who fell completely in love when they were young and before they had the chance at something amazing could happen between them,something horrific happened to change something beautiful and rip their love cruelly away from them. Now Andrew will stop at nothing to find his lost love, Lexi and get her back. It's when he does find Lexi that he soon comes to realize that there is so much more than meets the eye than he knew about everything.
This is a complex, unique, dark romance that will have you glued from start to finish. There is angst, heartache, despair, anger, twists, turns, passion, heat, action, tons of heady romance and love that never died. I loved Lexi and Andrew's characters. They will have you rooting for their 2nd chance at love romance. This is such a beautiful romance- I look forward to reading more of their continuing romance.

Twisted Heartbreak by N. Isabelle Blanco is a friends to lovers romance with plenty of darkness and twisted feels. Andrew and Lexi thought they can be each other's soulmates even if their families were enemies but fate intervened. After years of heartbreak, can they get revenge?
This story goes back and forth in timeline in alternate chapters. And that was a bit disorientating to me. Andrew is now this big bad wolf in business world who inherited his father's ruthlessness while tackling his enemies. But he is not vile and rotten like his father. Rich. Powerful. Dominating. And Lexi was his everything. He has searched for years for her and now he has found her in a broken shape and he will stop at nothing. His love and dedication for Lexi is palpable. My heart breaks for him. I loved this man so much!
Now I have mixed feelings for Lexi. It's right that she has been brutally tortured and used and she has been fighting a lot. But I feel she didnt really give Andrew a chance to say the truth. Even now, when she can feel how desperately in love Andrew is, she is still doubting Andrew. They are trapped into a complex web of lies, secrets, conspiracies and mind games. I still want to know how they beat the villains. I feel we spent a lot of time in tiny details of past that took away the tension of the story.

N. has outdone herself with this book. I was like holy batman when I started to read it because I could not put it down. Right from page one I was captured by Lexi & Andrew and the love they have for each other. I will say this I rarely hate a character but I HATED Andrews father because he was a mean son of a bit@# He took Lexi from Andrew and that just about destroyed him. What I love most about Andrew was his fight mode he went into and never stopped looking for Lexi. Lexi was his one and only and he knew he needed her no matter what the cost is.
When they finally get together it is amazing and this is where the novella kicks off and things start to get real. I will say there are some dark themes and triggers in this story it all fit together to make it complete. This is a must read by N. and I can't wait to read book two in the series. The ending had me like WTF but I love those kind of endings because it makes me stalk the author to see when the next book comes out. Team Andrew all the baby!

I’m addicted to this book. I love Lexi & Andrew. From page one I was hooked and once I started reading I didn’t want to stop. Andrew still and will always love Lexi and will do anything to get her back and protect her. Every time Drew & Lexi are together their chemistry is off the charts and their sex is HOT. I can’t wait to read more especially how it ended, Wow. Another amazing read that everyone must click.

Twisted Heartbreak by N. Isabelle Blanco shocked and surprised me. I went in with a vague notion of the plot and came out with a heavy heart and curiosity about what was going to happen next. There is a lot to unpack when it comes to Andrew and Lexi's relationship. Their story is dark, action-packed, full of revenge, and incredibly erotic. I wish I understood why Andrew was so obsessed with Lexi but I can only chalk it up to lust and obsession—at least for now. The trauma that Lexi had to go through because of certain individuals is horrifying. Although she appears fine on the surface, Lexi is broken and running on fumes. However, I loved how she is still resilient, determined, vengeful, and vulnerable despite everything that happened. For the past seven years, she was hidden away and unspeakable things were done to her. All because of one single moment that irrevocably changed both hers and Andrew's life.
As the foil to Lexi's character, Andrew is rage and darkness personified. He is willing to do anything for Lexi—including murder. Following that terrible event seven years ago, Andrew has also changed for the worst with only the constant thought of finding Lexi again. Throughout the book, the story often shifts between the past and present. I appreciated this aspect because it brought to light what exactly happened between Andrew and Lexi as well as the main antagonists that caused such turmoil and pain for these two. I'm disgusted, appalled, and heartbroken over what happened. It's no wonder that Andrew and Lexi are hellbent on revenge and ruining the lives of those who caused them to walk down this path in the first place. Another thing I appreciated was the chemistry and sexual tension between Lexi and Andrew. The love/hate made for some excellent and emotional scenes.
In the end, I enjoyed this book and walked away from it with a heavy heart because of how dark it was. I don't typically read these types of books where the heroine goes through unspeakable tragedies and trauma but I still appreciate N. Isabelle Blanco for writing this type of story. I look forward to seeing how the story will end in Twisted Rage because the book ends in a shocking cliffhanger. Lexi and Andrew have unintentionally become accomplices for murder. There lies a special place in hell for people who engage in sexual acts without consent. If you love reading dark romance that focuses on revenge, intense and lustful moments between the main characters, and second chances, you won't be disappointed in this book!

OH MY EVER LOVIN' HELL! I'm a dark & twisty girl so I was intrigued by the description of this book, but lawd, I never saw it coming to be honest. This right here sums up the book...

Like literally you really don't need anything else to know it's going to guy you like it gutted me. The evil in this book poured off the pages & frankly, I could have gone on a murder spree myself after everything that took place, and it's not even over. Poor Lexi, she really got the short end of the stick & my heart absolutely broke for her so I had her back all the way no matter what she did. Andrew had a hand in things but he wasn't the driving force of Lexi's darkness as he's gone dark himself. He's finally able to actually start making things right & finding the girl he never stopped loving so buckle the hell up for a wild ride that leads to a brutal cliffhanger so I was very close to breaking things as the wait for the conclusion starts. Please be warned, there are triggers upon triggers that could mess with readers so proceed with caution as it's not for the faint of heart. HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

The chemistry between Lexi and Andrew is off the charts and there certainly is a very dark theme running through this novella that may be a trigger and upset some people (rape).
The author really got both perspective down well so we really feel the emotions of both characters and how damaged they both are as a result of their pasts.
I really enjoyed this novella and look forward to reading the next revised book.

I absolutely loved this dark romance between Andrew and Lexi. They fell in love with each other a long time ago but because of acts from the people that they knew and loved, their chance at happiness was striped away from them. Now Andrew will do anything and everything to get Lexi back even though she is mad at him for his apparent betrayal of her trust. This story pulled at my heartstrings at because of some of the things that Lexi went through. The story was steamy and exciting and kept me anticipating what would happen throughout the whole read. I was rooting for Andrew and Lexi from the very beginning. I can't wait to see what happens to them next! I received a review copy of this story from the author and am leaving a voluntary honest review.

What a book!
N. Isabelle, found a way to incorporate different POVs and different timelines seamlessly. I never felt lost, I knew who I was following and who’s mind I was in.
We follow Lexi and Drew, two individuals are equally dark, but a different kind of twisted. Drew has an obsession and will not let her run from him. Lexi is vengeful, trying to get back at all the individuals who hurt her, but even more so, who hurt her family. One has been taken care of but what about the others who have damaged her inside and out?
The sexy scenes are that and more! Sexy, hot, steamy, descriptive and always a little (a lot) different from each other. Makes you feel things, reminding you, you aren’t dead!

Twisted Heartbreak is an intense and gripping read that hooks you from cover to cover!!
"I know what type of monster I'm about to become. And for her, it'll all be worth it"
This story really consumed me, it's raw and gritty and deals with some pretty hard subjects that are written well, it's hot as hell without taking anything away from the storyline, I did in parts feel like screaming at Lexi to open her damn eyes to what's going on but hey that's what's supposed to happen right!!
For me the last 20% took this story to the next level and wow that ending 😳 I'm eagerly awaiting the next book I need it like ......yesterday 🤣

This story really consumed me, it's raw and gritty and deals with some pretty hard subjects that are written well, it's hot as hell without taking anything away from the storyline, I did in parts feel like screaming at Lexi to open her damn eyes to what's going on but hey that's what's supposed to happen right!!
For me the last 20% took this story to the next level and wow that ending 😳 I'm eagerly awaiting the next book I need it like ......yesterday 🤣

HOLY MOTHER OF HOTT!!!!!!!
I went into this completely blind and was blown away. Such an engrossing story I had to remind myself that I had to go be an adult and couldn't just hole up and finish this in one setting. This was really good and I loved the dual POV.
That ending though????? I scrolled back and forth twice looking for more. LMAO. Can't wait to read the next one!

I received this book as an ARC so very thankful
very great book the pace of the book moved quickly i love Andrew and Lexi they are amazing together. It is a dark romance so there is violence and killing and Andrew is probably a tiny bit of a psycho but im vibing with it. This book was spicy but not super spicy im assuming since its the first book it will only get better. The way it ended though i do need the second book because i want to know what happens next. The spice was good it was 2/5 on the spice level for me. Check the triggers before reading this book.

It took me a minute to grasp what was going on BUT WHEN I DID ... holy smokes was I hooked. I really loved how it went back and forth between the past and present giving us the history we needed along the way. I really loved past and present Lexi. What Lexi and Andrew have is a once in a lifetime connection and I'm here for it. THAT CLIFF HANGER THOUGH !!! My mouth was wide open the whole ending. I'm super glad the next book comes out shortly after cause I need to know what happens next !

Ohhhh. What a book! I'll be completely honest I saw this on greys promo and thought it was a bit of me. I hadn't heard of n isabelle blanco before so she is a new author to me. And I'll ya what, I bloody loved it.
What a sad state off affairs Drew found himself in. My heart hurt for him.
Then there was Lexi. My heart hurt even more for her.
And that arsehole that shan't be named. I hope he gets his comeuppance!
Only issue is that i was disappointing that it ended so soon! I need more. I want more. Lexi and Drew are nowhere near finished. But I'm hoping, so hoping they sort their shit out. The tension and chemistry between them is off the charts hot!! And the cover is stunning!

I first discovered this author when she co-wrote a dark series and twisted series, unlike anything that I had ever read before. I had no idea which author wrote what. All I knew is that it was so seamlessly done that I needed to get in this authors mind further. I have gone on to read just about everything she has written. One thing that stands out is that regardless of whether she is writing Paranormal, suspense, or erotica there is a layer of darkness that weaves itself through each and every word which in turn takes the reader on a journey that no amount of preparation can truly prepare the reader for. She bleeds for her characters which is part of the reason that I am so thankful that she is a one-click author for me.
This book was previously released in small sections but has been compiled together. It shows how fragile first love is and how easy it can be torn asunder once power, greed, and money get involved. It is told in a dual POV and has quite a few flashbacks which at times are jarring but as the story progress, it becomes apparent why they are used.
There is a definite need to heed the trigger warning, It most assuredly is a dark romance. It is shocking and very twisted. I look forward to the conclusion coming in a few weeks because I know that while this author has put me through hell with this story, she will give Andrew and Lexi the happily ever after they deserve and show that love can survive everything, even darkness, and extreme obsession.

I’m pretty sure that this book had me in a chokehold until I finished reading it. I just could not stop reading this book. I was just so invested in this story. And now I cannot wait to read the second part of this duology because I just must know more about these people and their story.

I Received an e-arc in exchange for a review. My review will be my honest thoughts on the book.
I read Isabelle's Ryze series and had enjoyed those books. I liked her story style and writing. So since I knew I liked her writing, was thinking of picking up her other works and had my eyes on this one. First released as a series, Systematic Siege is now a full length novel.
Let me start by saying its a Dark Romance. Its not for everyone. It puts you in situations you cant imagine yourself in. Its brutal and Intense and one hell of a ride.
Andrew the Male Protagonist is super intense and is hell bent on getting revenge on all who took away from him, his Lexi, finding and getting her back is all that matters to him. She's the girl he has loved since his childhood and when people, his family, his friends manage to separate them again, after he gets her for a brief period of time he loses his mind and goes off the deep end for a few years until he realizes he could never get her back if he carries on the path he is, and starts to pull himself together and sets in motion a plan for revenge and love which is called the Systematic Siege.
Lexi comes from a loving family until Andrews dad breaks hers apart. Best friends from when they were kids, a lot goes wrong for Lexi when Andrews Father betrays hers. Until she and Andrew get back together for a brief period of time, and then Lexi takes of and her journey is NOT pretty. She bears terrible incidents and breaks her and instills a darkness in her that she never had before. And in her quest to break-free from her monsters she finds Andrew without realizing he has a plan for vengeance and enlists his help.
I enjoyed reading this book. We get Andrews and Lexis perspective giving us insight into their thoughts and how they have grown. Also their chemistry sizzles throughout. I loved how determined and strong Lexi was in her love for her mother and Andrew in his love for Lexi. Looking forward to picking up the next in the series to see what happens !

Andrew and Lexi have my heart <3. A great 2nd chance romance. Amazing, I loved every second of this story. Thank you once again, Ms. Blanco, for such a great story.
Easy 5 stars for this read. It is a dual POV and you get to go back in time to get the absolute full effect from both Lexi and Andrew.
These two grew up together and became quite attached that is until Andrew's father does something unforgivable and life-changing to Lexi and her family. Andrew and Lexi are forced to cut communication but they never do and feelings begin to develop until one night neither of them can contain the passion that they both have for each other. Things get messy as all things do when you're a teenager and Lexi is hit with something life-changing not by Andrew's father but by Andrew himself. This time Lexi has to learn to move on with her life and forget Andrew altogether. It's easier said than done considering he still lives in her mind rent-free and she works with one of Andrew's closest friends from high school. After 7 years Lexi is presented with an opportunity to confront her demons and leave the past in the past, the only catch is she would have to work for the man she despises yet loves the most. Andrew Drevlow. When Andrew finds out that Lexi, his Lexi, the girl he has been after for the past 7 years, is in his building he sprints and comes face to face with the woman that stole his heart and never gave it back. They both look at each other and realize they are not the same people they used to be, they can hide their scars from others but they know themselves they could never hide things from each other.

WOW! Okay I think I can breathe now after finishing! But holy crap that was one hell of an emotional rollercoaster ride filled with such intense pain, anger, betrayal, passion, obsession and love. I went through so many different emotions while absorbing this fantastic story. It continually kept me on the edge of my seat, biting my nails with anticipation and holding my breath throughout.
Lexi and Andrew (ugh my heart), these two go through so much together and then are torn apart due to such hurtful secrets and betrayal. I loved how the story only gave us snippets of the present and then gave us little snippets of the past and with each snippet we slowly peel back all of the layers of deceit, secrets, obsession, pain and heartache. These little snippets at times were gut-wrenching and at other times helped us to understand the intense obsession and pull that Lexi and Andrew have towards one another. Their connection is undeniable and their chemistry was utterly explosive and earth shattering.

That infection that has been festering in my soul for almost a decade.
The wound that I pray never leaves me, even if the disease keeps on spreading.

And that ending – OMG – I was not ready for that! I shall now pick my jaw up off the floor and hope I get the rest of the story immediately.

What a dark and twisted tale of first love and second chances this is. Andrew and Lexi fell in love as innocent teenagers but everyone was against them. From his father to his friends they conspired to drive them apart setting Andrew off onto a downward spiral of alcohol and drug addiction until only the thought that he could one day get Lexi back gave him a sense of purpose. He would play the game and climb to the top and then look out world, they would have their revenge on everyone who had played a part in keeping them apart.
This wasn’t the easiest book to read. It’s dark and angst-ridden. Lexi has gone through more trauma than Andrew ever imagined. The girl he loves has gone but that didn’t change his feelings if anything he was more obsessive. I got the impression he was balancing on the edge of insanity anyway and it would take very little to push him over the edge. Told from alternating points of view this is a tale of revenge. It’s slow burn with very little intimate contact between them until late in the book but still the chemistry and emotion between them leapt of the pages leaving me feeling slightly voyeuristic as I read…. not that it made me put this book down! It does end on a massive cliff-hanger but fortunately it’s not long before the second part of this duet releases.

I fully loved this book! Usually, I don't like second chance romances but I was so drawn into this story, and seeing how hot Lexi and Drew burned for each other made me shiver. This book rates pretty high on the spice level!
Drew is such an unhinged character and I really want to see more about what he went through after losing Lexi. He truly suffered and something in him is so very dark...but that makes him so much more lovable! Who wouldn't want a man that would burn the world just for you to plant a garden, y'know?
Lexi is also such a strong character and I hate everything that happened to her. Been there, done that, and darling, I would never want to go back. I can't wait to see her develop more and start healing from the trauma she's faced. I don't typically like characters that go through what Lexi has gone through (especially on page), but N. Isabelle Blanco wrote this character with such spiteful hope that I want to see Lexi get the revenge she deserves.

Wow what a twisted story this is.
Where greed and evil selfish men turn the lives of innocent people upside down and inside out.
This was an intense story of young love turned horribly wrong.
Not by their own doing but by the hands of those who should have been the most trusted.
When Lexi disappears from Andrew’s life the saying he “spiraled downward” is a freaking understatement!
His life went to hell in a hand basket.
Nothing gets him through his horrific nightmare except planning and plotting his revenge.
Poor Lexi seems to be on everyone’s radar.
She was so innocent, naive and sweet she had no clue the vileness that was looming over her.
I really felt for Andrew and Lexi.
What was done to them was unconscionable.
And what it turns them into lays at the feet of those that wronged them.
I loved the way Ms. Blanco setup the story.
She does past and present chapters so when everything comes together it’s a bone chilling effect.
I was on pins and needles through the whole books.
My heart rate skyrocketing and holding my breath so many times.
This was a fast paced action packed page turner story.
And that ending definitely has me wanting more!

Dark romance is something I’ve recently started giving a try and Twisted Heartbreak sounded like something right up my alley. The synopsis caught my attention and I just had to know what it was all about. Also, the gorgeous cover helped a lot as well!
I won’t go into the plot too much, because I do think a story like this is one you need to have revealed to you as you read. Lexi and Andrew were destined to be together, but the world has been working against them. Family secrets, betrayals, and stuff you can’t even think of come at them.
Andrew’s emotions were jumping off the pages and hit you in all the feels. Lexi is clearly dealing with a lot of aftermath. And their connection is so real I really hope they can get back to what they were. I loved the short chapters, because I felt like I flew through this book. That being said, I did have a harder time connecting to this story and characters. And there were a few events that just didn’t completely fit the story for me. Definitely a case of it’s me and not you.

My heart physically ached for all that Andrew and Lexie has gone through, and while this did end on a cliffhanger, I can't wait until we get all of our answers.
