Bad Boys Don't Die #1-3

Bad Boys Don't Die: The Complete Collection

Rate this book
From the Wall Street Journal bestselling author of 44 Chapters About 4 Men (inspiration for the Netflix original series Sex/Life) comes an immersive romantic suspense trilogy with a dark, dystopian twist.

With only three days left until the predicted apocalypse, the small town of Franklin Springs, Georgia, has become a wasteland of abandoned cars, abandoned homes, abandoned businesses, and abandoned people. People like Rainbow Williams.

Rain isn’t afraid of dying. In fact, she’s looking forward to it. If she can just outrun her pain until April 23, she’ll never have to feel it at all.

Wes Parker has survived every horrible thing this life has thrown at him with nothing more than his resourcefulness and disarming good looks. Why should the end of the world be any different? All he needs are some basic supplies, shelter, and a sucker willing to help him out, which is exactly what he finds when he returns to his hometown of Franklin Springs.

As society crumbles, dangers mount, and secrets refuse to stay buried, two lost souls are thrust together in a twist of fate—one who will do anything to survive and one who can’t wait to die.

Perhaps, together, they can learn how to live.

Before their time runs out.

BB Easton is the Wall Street Journal bestselling author of 44 CHAPTERS ABOUT 4 MEN, the hilarious, steamy, tell-all memoir that inspired the Netflix Original Series, SEX/LIFE. Within the first month, SEX/LIFE was viewed by 67 million households worldwide, making it the 3rd Most-Watched Netflix Original Series of all time.

BB was a stressed-out school psychologist and mother of two when the inspiration to write 44 CHAPTERS ABOUT 4 MEN struck. Through that process, she rediscovered her passion for writing, became dangerously sleep-deprived, and finally mustered enough courage to quit her job and become a full-time author.

BB went on to publish four more wickedly funny, shockingly steamy, and heartwarmingly autobiographical books in the 44 CHAPTERS series: SKIN, SPEED, STAR, and SUIT. Since then, she's been hard at work writing fictional stories that appeal to her love for us-against-the-world romance, including a dystopian trilogy (PRAYING FOR RAIN), a psychologist-client romantic comedy (GROUP THERAPY), and a dark mafia romance (DEVIL OF DUBLIN).

“None of this matters and we’re all going to die!”

The following ratings are out of 5:
Romance: 💚🖤💙❤️
Heat/Steam: 🔥🔥🔥🔥
Story/Plot: 📕📗📙📘📔
World building: 🌏🌍🌎🌏
Character development: 🤓☹️😙🥰
Narrator(s): 🎙🎙🎙
Narration Type: Dual Narration

The heroine: Rainbow “Rain” Wilson - she is nineteen years old and wakes up one morning after getting high the night before and finds that she has cut off her long braid. She has some secrets going on at home, including a drunk father that is paranoid and mean. Her jerk boyfriend has gone to Tennessee to be with his family.

The Hero: Wes Parker - he has a plan and needs someone to help him out. He came to Franklin Springs, Georgia where he grew up till he was nine years old, to survive. He arrives at the local burger joint where he sees a girl being beaten for a bottle of pain meds that accidentally fell out of her pocket.

The Story: After everyone in the world started dreaming about the four horsemen of the
apocalypse coming on April 23rd, everything began to devolve to the point where it is now the 20th and governments are no good, newscasters don’t bother reporting, and most everyone thinks they will die in a few days. Rain is just waiting for it all to happen, until she is saved by Wes, who comes to town with his plan to survive. He plans on using Rain to get the things he needs (since he doesn’t remember his way around town, her drugs can be used as currency and she is nice looking as well).

Narrated by Madeleine Dauer and Alex Kydd, this trilogy is told in dual points of view via dual narration. This is the first time I have heard either of these narrators. Madeline Dauer does a good job, she sounds age appropriate for Rain and does a good job with both the male and female voices. However, Alex Kydd was hard to listen to at first. Wes Parker is described as a man, when Rain is used to boys. He is tall, muscular and very good looking, but he sounds like a typical teenage stoner boy. The voice just doesn’t match the character.

Though I did start getting used to it after a while and the story was original and I liked it and wondering what would happen next. Rain had gone through a lot and all the bad things she just pushed away into a vault in her head because she couldn’t face them, but after a bit they started coming out when she least expected them.

There are some big revelations in book two about the apocalypse. I couldn’t have been more surprised and I love that about this book as so many books are predictable, especially in romance where everything is leading to a happily ever after. Though I don’t really read many dystopian stories, I do love the walking dead and some of the same themes apply in this though the main storyline was original from my point of view and I liked it. It got better and better as it went. Though Rain was so weak at times, it got me so frustrated. I just wanted her to stand up for herself and hurt some people that were treating her like crap. So when she finally starts to get some lady balls, I wanted to cheer.

The Rain trilogy is made up of Praying for Rain, Fighting for Rain, and Dying for Rain, with each book being highly addictive. Each will have you desperate for more, ensuring you’re happy to dive from one book into the next.

Packed with dystopian fun and romance, the Rain trilogy packs a punch on many fronts. Event after event happens, hitting hard with all that plays out. The characters have you falling in love, the events have you theorising how details will play out, and everything ensures you cannot put it down.

Without a doubt, this is a must-read for fans of dystopian romance.

When you fall in love at the end of the world, you live every day like it’s your last.

This was a banger. It’s stressful and overwhelming, but it’s also deeply emotional. A trilogy following a young woman named Rain and her hero/captor Wes. It’s the end of the world and she’s just trying to get through the last few days. Wes shows up in town looking for something, but what he finds is Rain. Their story is hard, sad, and gut wrenching, but it’s also beautiful two souls rushing in to love when things feel hopeless. I don’t want to give it all away, so I’ll leave it at that.

TW: drug abuse, graphic violence, explicit sexual content, suicidal ideation, suicide, murder, graphic injuries, gun violence, rape, bullying, I may be missing some.

Loved this series!!!

Oh I cried at least once in each book.💙

Rain and Wes are dealing with the ‘end of the world’ and all the effects that come with it (the nightmares, the horsemen, and the dreaded end date).

Rain was trying to get something to eat when she is attacked by random people trying to take her medicine when Wes ‘saves/kidnaps’ her.

Wes is trying to survive and he is determined to make it past the dreaded April 23rd.

Rain has given up on life and is just waiting for the end date, but after meeting Wes, she is starting to have a little hope.

There is so much more I want to say- but I am not a spoiler! Go read this series!!!!💙

The author deftly paints an apocalyptic picture of the world turned upside down so remarkably. I could picture the burned out cars, hear the unnatural quiet and feel the desperation of the overwhelmed characters.
This trilogy is simply AMAZING! I think fans of almost any genre would enjoy this addictive story.
Wes and Rain meet in odd circumstances, but it’s allegedly almost the end of the world so I guess that tracks. They start out on a search together that brought Wes back to town.
Wes is determined to survive and Rain is numbing her pain and fear until the world is over. They’re in different head spaces, but as the story progresses they are support that each other need.
The sexual aspect begins fairly quickly, everything is on fast forward because the world is a dumpster fire with a possible end date. They’re desperate for connection, to feel something good or hopeful.
I love the way their connection evolves, I love both characters so hard. They are really fantastic.
The first two books end on cliffhangers so be prepared for a binge read. You will not want to stop reading.
This is a smart, beautifully written story with depth and great entertainment value. I’m so attached to the characters, they go through so much, and that’s a huge understatement.
There is so much story in this book, so many emotions, thought provoking situations and interesting secondary characters that bring so much depth, heart and of course there is pain. This is a one of a kind story and characters. I highly recommend it.

ALL THE STARS!!!

This trilogy proves that B.B. can write in just about any genre. I signed up to read this trilogy because it's by B.B. but also the title and cover grabbed my attention. I did not read the blurb til right before I started reading and that was when I realized I would be reading a dystopian novel, which I absolutely love, and I was like "hell yea!!"

B.B. did not let me down. If anything, she just made me love her writing even more.

Rain and Wes had two very different objectives with the "the world is ending" mentality. And then these two meet and things drastically change for them.

This trilogy moves at an extremely fast paced but it's the perfect pace too. B.B. really knows how to build a world that you can visibly see in your mind and how everything plays out. You feel the everything that Rain and Wes go through, you empathize with them.

For as long as this trilogy is, it did not feel that long to me. I devoured this in two days because I could not put it down. I desperately needed to know what was going to happen next after each turn of the page.

I cannot say enough about this trilogy. It is absolutely phenomenal. And even if you don't read dystopian, you definitely want to read this one.

-Praying For Rain (5 Stars) The end of the World is coming in three days. The world has turned savage and Rainbow “rain” Williams just wants the end to come without any extra hassle. Too bad in this world that won’t be happening when she gets taken by a hottie named Wes. This book, wow! This is the first book I’ve read from BB Easton and definitely need more! This had everything from action, suspense, Hotness and I need book 2 now! Wes and Rain and perfect together. Told in dual POV and ends in a cliffhanger.

-Fighting For Rain (5 Stars) Well let me pick my jaw up off the floor!!! Rainbow “Rain” Williams and Wes Parker are back in the highly anticipated second book of this apocalyptic trilogy. This book takes place after the epic cliffhanger in book one. The world was suppose to end on April 23rd but that didn’t exactly happen. It’s now April 24th...what will they find now? Can they figure out what happened and stay alive in this “new world?” This is an apocalyptic book like no other and a must read. More will be revealed...More obstacles to overcome...Can Wes and Rain go on and find...something more? What happened to the four horseman? An amazing part two of this trilogy and yes it ends in a cliffhanger!! So much is revealed I cannot wait for you to read this emotional roller coaster for yourselves. Wes is still my favorite survivalist biker and I believe I fell for him even more if that’s possible. Told in dual POV

-Dying For Rain (5 Stars) Deep Breaths!! The Epic Finale of the Rain Trilogy is finally Here!!! We start right off where the jaw dropping cliffhanger left us in fighting for rain. In this new world what will become of Rain and Wes? Will they be able to prevail on top or is this new way of living going to be the end of them forever? Right out of the gate I was entranced and could not put this down. I’ve fallen hard for Wes and Rain. You will go through every emotion possible during this magnificent end to this trilogy! I won’t say too much in case you are waiting for all the books to release before reading however, I will say it is a must read series and what are you waiting for! Bravo!! “Supplies.Shelter. Self Defense.” Never forget! Told in dual POV

I first want to thank BB Easton for receiving this incredible arc! I think I just found my new favorite series…

In a small Georgia town, everyone seems to have the same reoccurring nightmare. April 23. The apocalypse. The end of the world. With 3 days left of living in hell, Rain cannot wait for her suffering to come to an end. That is until she meets the damaged and beautiful bad boy Wes. Suddenly, they both find each other wanting to survive. But with limited food/water, no shelter, and a whole world of violence against them, this may be harder than they thought…

BB Easton is the queen of world building. I am completely OBSESSED with the dystopian romance she created with Rain and Wes. They are truly like no other book couple I have ever read. They both go through so much pain, suffering, and loss throughout these books but it makes them stronger together in the end.

I will never have enough words for this series. I feel like I went through every stage of grief in a matter of hours! I felt every emotion so deeply. Officially in my top 3 series I’ve ever read and definitely my favorite reads of the year. Thank you again BB Easton. You are BRILLIANT. Bad Boys Don’t Die the complete series releases October 5! 💙

"I'm beginning to realize there's not much I wouldn't do for you."- Bad Boys Don't Die, The Complete Collection, By BB Easton

ARC Review 💙💙

I was sooooo stoked when I received the ARC for Bad Boys Don't Die. I was in the car with my husband on the way to Santa Barbara for our 10-year wedding anniversary, and I screamed and scared the shit out of him. Romantic, I know, lol, but he also knows my love for Mrs. BB Easton.

This story was absolutely incredible. Apocalyptic world. Think Daryl Dixxon from Walking Dead without the zombies. Lol, although some "people" had some blood sucking traits.

Wesson Patrick Parker & Rainbow Song Williams.

They meet under the worst circumstances in a world where everyone has turned on each other. Rain and Wes have been through it all, and although he saved her life when they first met and sort of kidnapped her, they have an instant connection. They will literally go to the ends of the world together and for each other. And trust me, they do.

They have both had the most heartbreaking of circumstances dealt to them. But together they are safe, together they are invincible. These two together can take on anything. BB, thank you for creating this epic world. It played out like a movie in my head. I will never get enough of Wes and Rain. I highly highly recommend this amazing trilogy. #bbeaston #badboysdontdie #wesandrain #badboysdontstay #badboysdontfall #apocalypticromance #touchheranddie #booksandchatswithnickib

description

Praying for Rain by BB Easton is out of this world.  This apocalyptic romance starts off like an acid trip at warp speed. Wes and Rain meet under some unusual circumstances.  Wes has plans to survive the end of the world. Rain feels dead inside after a bad breakup and numbs herself with pain pills. They only have a few days to navigate the obstacle course of mayhem that their town has turned into.  The unlikely couple falls for each amid the chaos and bad dreams. Are their nightmares coming to life?  Or are Wes and Rain’s lives turning into a nightmare? Can they beat the clock and maybe have a chance at a life together?

I have to tell you I’m not one to embrace dystopian books.  But, this book turned out to my jam!  I’ve always been a fan of BB Easton’s semi-autobiography 44 Chapters About 4 Men series.  BB’s writing shines, and her storytelling bandwidth expanded to a whole new level.   Praying for Rain is going to keep you on the edge your seat on this runaway roller-coaster ride to the end of the world.

I absolutely loved this trilogy. It flowed from one book to the next seamlessly. The entire world is predicting the apocalypse. Everyone is dreaming of the four horsemen coming in on April 23rd and wreaking havoc on the world. As the date gets closer the worst things have become. Towns and businesses are overrun by gangs. Neighbors & friends have turned on one another. It’s do or die. You vs. them . You lie, cheat, steal, or kill to survive. Today’s currency is money, drugs, or women, willing or unwilling. It doesn’t matter to them and there is no one to stop them.
Rain and Wes’ story is tragically heart-breaking.
Wes has one goal. To survive. Supplies, shelter, self-defense.
Rain is not afraid to die, the world is ending…right. WRONG. Rain is traumatized by the events that have happened to her. She blocks them out as much as she can but she is cracking under the pressure. Depression hits her hard. Wes comes into her life like a white knight. Well technically he did kidnap her at gun point. But he did save her life at the same time! LOL
Rain & Wes are so opposite and yet so perfect for one another. Their chemistry is explosive. Their journey is long and worth every moment.

BB did it again. This series was phenomenal and I’m pretty sad it’s over. I will say this one more time, I DO NOT READ BOOKS LIKE THIS. They don’t interest me. As you can see, I gave this one 5 stars. Yes. I did. It was deserved. It was action packed and kept me on the edge of my seat because I needed to know how in the heck they were going to get out of this situation! I loved so much how Rain stood up for herself and took back what was hers. Realizing she needed to take charge and actually messing people up made me scream out YES! DO IT! Kill them all! I’m glad Wes never gave into his fate and knew he needed to get out for himself and for Rain. I had no doubt these two would put on a spectacular show.. and they did! Wes and Rain forever!

New titles and covers but still the same mind-blowing story!!!!

Book 1:
BB Easton just blew up my expectations for this book with the snap of her magic-wielding word-typing fingers. I seriously don’t know how she does it, transitioning effortlessly into a full-length fiction book that deviates quite far in genre from her previous novels. I guess it comes down to hard work and sheer talent. Bad Boys Don't Die is a rough apocalyptic romance where hope seems…well…hopeless. The darker theme opens our eyes to just how much society as a whole could go downhill if everyone thought the world was going to end. It’s frightening but realistic to think that morals would be so easily tossed aside for self-preservation. Though, even with the grit and darkness, we still get BB’s shining wit and intelligence as a beacon throughout—immersed within the storyline itself, and absolutely occupied within the characters. Wes and Rain are some of my favorite characters to date. Period. Wes is a true survivor, having had to claw his way to survive every day of his life. He’s hardened yet optimistic (way deep down!), albeit in a very rough around the edges kind of way! And my Rain is a survivor too, even though she’s doing everything she can to pretend...or rather forget, this trait. Wes and Rain and their short but impactful introduction to each other days away from the end of the world will make you FEEL. The storyline and theme and inevitable questions of “what if” will make you FEEL. BB has weaponized her background in psychology to stealthily dive into our psyches to blow ish up—in the absolute best way! Three words: THE DREAM SCENES! I’m in awe. And I’ll be impatiently waiting for book 2. Can I give this book more than 5 stars?

Book 2:
Here we are again. Me trying to articulate just how phenomenal of a storyteller BB Easton is. Bad Boys Don't Stay delivers so much more than I ever could have imagined. The action and intensity start immediately when the world DOESN’T end. The damage is done. The world has unraveled into a lawless chaos. Wes and Rain have no time to revel in the fact that they survived, and with a couple found friends along the way, they very quickly have to seek shelter while they deal with the aftermath of a terrible accident. Little do they know that they are walking into a place already swimming with past ghosts and new antagonists, not to mention learning the mind-bending revelation of the vile psychopathic reason behind all of it.

Something obvious but still needs to be shouted—Wes and Rain ARE the stars of this crazy, raw, stressed show. Period. Rain is still so broken, and she can’t outrun the horrific memories that led her to be at peace with dying in the impending apocalypse. Wes fought tooth and nail to ensure her survival and tada, the apocalypse didn’t happen. No jumping for joy for Rain though. She’s too fractured and the one reason she is barely hanging on is because Wes is by her side. Wes is there, the only thing knocking down the cage in her brain, one bar at a time. And oh my Wes. WES! For me, he is the SUPERstar of the show. Damn this man has been through hell and back…only he had to kick and punch and drag himself tortuously slow out of it, just to find himself spending all of his energy on one thing—survival. Until Rain of course. The awful life he’s been dealt has left him with an extreme case of self-doubt. No one has ever cared about him before and though he loves Rain more than anything, he can’t fight his insecurity. But this man of men, this legend of a man, this epically heart-achingly loyal man shucks that doubt off the back of his motorcycle and fights for Rain with a renewed fervor.

I said it after book 1 and I will say it now with my own renewed fervor—Wes and Rain are two of the best characters I have ever read. BB dives deep into each of their beings to vibrantly splash every anxiety-ridden feeling, every idiosyncrasy, and every single trait onto the pages with a flourish. And I would be remiss to not point out that the secondary characters wholeheartedly support this story. And it’s a story completely original and extraordinarily written. Bring on the finale! 5 plus plus plus plus plus stars!

Book 3:
At the risk of being trendy, BB Easton DID THE DAMN THANG with the final book in THIS EPIC TRILOGY. The ending of book 2 was a doozy but I knew—I KNEW—BB would deliver a completely satisfying ending wrapped up with a pretty bow on top. Wrapped in skull and cross-bones paper of course, but still. Bad Boys Don't Fall isn’t full of nothing but unicorns shooting rainbows out of their butts because it’s REAL to the whole story, and this grand story has been anything but frivolous.

I have to say it again in this review for the final time: Rain and Wes stole the show. Well honestly, Rainbow Fudging Williams had the last act in this story. Reading Rain conquering her self-doubt, and actually desiring a future and fighting like a warrior to get it…WHOA! Marvelous. Her character arc is rewarding like nothing else. She accepts her limitations—not as a fault like before—but as a human being with true emotions. She seeks help when she needs it, and she leans into her growing strength when she must. And Wes (actual swoon here) is as loyal and protective as ever. Our OG survivor has a small blip where he seemingly gives up because he thinks it’s the only way, but call it a true brain fart because he very quickly gets back on track with his fundamental mantra of survival for himself and for Rain. The incredible journey of how Rain and Wes come back together, and their character growth in this book, mean everything to me as a reader.

BB likes to keep us on our toes for sure, so she sprinkles in a fun cameo here, a surprising character twist there, and a panty-melting scene yonder. There are still old characters we would sort of/maybe/absolutely love to maim, and there are new characters that we grow to love quickly. This book definitely has BB’s signature humor delivered intelligently because come on, even when the world around us is terrifying, we need the jokes! But the state of the world and how it came to be that way is sobering, and there is an awful lot of true pain and heartbreak too. It’s not only real to the story, it’s downright believable to the anarchy that would occur if this happened in real life. It’s scary, but quite possible. People suck man. They really do. But through all the muck, this story shows us that some humans are okay and humanity itself can bring hope. And that is undeniably wonderful. This entire trilogy deserves something far better than stars, whatever that might be. I will recommend reading these books for all time. They are so far beyond what you might think. And holy crap one more thing—can you even imagine how fantastic of a movie this series would make??!! AHHH!!!

Bad Boys Don't Die (Bad Boys Don't Die #1), by B.B. Easton

This book was previously released under the title Praying for Rain.

This is a dystopian adventure, what will you do with 2 days left to supposedly live?
With only three days left until the predicted apocalypse, the small town of Franklin Springs, Georgia, has become a wasteland of abandoned cars, abandoned homes, abandoned businesses, and abandoned people.
Rainbow ‘Rain’ Williams, isn’t afraid of dying. Rain’s High School Boyfriend left her a month ago so we could go with his family to be together during the end. Rain is looking forward to it all ending. If she can just outrun her pain until April 23, she’ll never have to feel it at all. Rain has plenty of pills to help her live without pain or without a care in the world. She pops in one or two at a time and all her cares go out the window.
Wes Parker has survived every horrible thing this life has thrown at him with nothing more than his resourcefulness and disarming good looks. Wes has figured out that women love his looks, and just want what’s in his pants. Wes has skated by in life with his charm and looks. All he needs are some basic supplies, shelter, and a sucker willing to help him out, which is exactly what he finds when he returns to his hometown of Franklin Springs.Wes has been in and out of foster homes almost his entire life. Wes kidnaps Rain while she was trying to buy one of her last meals. Even though Rain and Wes are a few years apart in age they are similar in the lost way. Neither are sure with what to do with the future if there is any. Perhaps, together, they can learn how to live. Before their time runs out. As society crumbles, dangers mount, and secrets refuse to stay buried, two lost souls are thrust together in a twist of fate—one who will do anything to survive and one who can’t wait to die.
I did receive a free ARC copy of this book from the author. I am freely leaving a honest review.

Bad Boys Don't Stay, (Bad Boys Don't Die #2), by B.B. Easton

This is book #2 in the triology. You will need to read book #1, as book #2 picks up where it leave off.
The world was to end on 23 April, but now it's 24 April.....Post-apocalyptic days.
We continue with Rain & Wes now having to survive in a new world no one knows how to navigate. New obstacles, new friends, new enemies, danger at every corner.
Will Wes stay with Rain? Or will he leave her know that she's back with friends from her past? I did receive a free ARC book copy.
I am freely leaving an honest review.

Bad Boys Don't Die #3 (Dying for Rain)
This is book #3 of the trilogy. You will need to read Book 1 & Book 2 prior. This is the continued dystopian post April 23 world that is becoming the new 'normal'.  Power and greed are showing their faces from those who are in the 1% of the wealthy population.  We continue with Wes & Rain. Wes is being held in jail for saving Rain's friend - Quint's life. He is to be executed in 2 days. Rain can't figure out how she is going to rescue him. She is able to get help from the Boneyz group! Rain also saved the local TV news reporter, Michelle, and she is now helping Rain and her friends to try to get help for Wes. Wes is trying to figure out how he can also escape prison himself! He wants to escape, but isn't sure how many guards are around. He is also the only person being held, so he can't 'talk' with anyone else. There is a little confusion on if they are 'dreaming' or if it's real life. Sometimes the nightmares seem so real it is a bit hard to tell. I did receive a free ARC book copy of this book. I am freely leaving an honest review.

I absolutely love this series! It is compelling, exciting, heart thumping stuff, headed by two beautiful, but broken characters with whom I fell in love. Rain and Wes meet in the dire circumstances of the imminent end of the world and all the chaos that has been wrought on society as a result. The Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse are haunting every living person, and the wheels have truly come off the bus!! It's dog eat dog out there, and after pulling her out of danger in a local cafe, Wes and Rain embark upon a journey, which is epic. Each book ends with a huge cliffhanger, so you are more than ready to plunge into the next one. Questions of, will they survive? Will they find a way to live in this new 'normal'? Will Rain find a reason to live? Well, don't ask me! Read this incredible series and find out for yourself. And, while you are here, check out the audios. They are brilliant too!
5+ stars all the way for BB Easton's hugely imaginative trip into a dystopian world of danger, betrayals, love, friendship and honour. Not to be missed!! 💖 💖💖💖💖

BB Easton’s range kills me!!!! I found 44 Chapters to be hilarious, deeply emotional and 🔥🔥🔥 and Group Therapy as a more playful and fun novel. Devil of Dublin simply took my breath away. Then she throws this sexy, hardcore, dystopian romance at me. It feels very rock ‘n’ roll with all its attitude and yet, she still manages to pull at my heartstrings when I least expect it as she navigates her characters through deep trauma and heartbreak.

I blew through this series as if I was cruising around with Wes himself! Can’t get enough of Easton’s talent and knack for keeping us guessing both with her storytelling and the emotions she pulls throughout!

Praying For Rain (5 Stars)
The end of the World is coming in three days.

Fighting For Rain (5 Stars)
Well let me pick my jaw up off the floor!!!

Dying For Rain (5 Stars)
Deep Breaths!!

The concept of the book is just ‘WoW!’.

First reaction after reading PFR : “Too much OMFG going through me!”

If you have (n)ever read any of B.B’s books this one is a must!

I love how the story isn’t only skin deep, it’s soul wrenchingly deep. Layers on top of layers and layers, topped with tattoos, violence, emotions and sprinkled with the will to survive. All served on a big platter of ‘APOCALYPSE BITCH, You are going to die’.

When I read Wes’s parts I felt like Wes was talking and when Rain was talking I felt Rain. And that is something I don’t come across very often. For two totally different characters to have an equal voice in one book is something incredible.

Don’t get me started on the plot. So here it goes (no spoilers). You think you know what’s happening or rather you think you think you know, BUT YOU HAVE NO IDEA. No, not even the idea you thought might be the right one, just throw it all out of the window and enjoy the ride.

BB you keep on surprising us with your writing and I think I speak for all of your readers when I say: WE WANT MORE!
Lady you are one of a kind and the world needs your badassary!

You know an author has real talent when she rocks in two entirely different genre equally well. Praying for Rain by BB Easton proves that. This dystopian apocalyptic romance is exactly opposite of her previous sassy smart humorous books. And she slayed it. Well some things are still same! Her sharp plotline and unapologetic narrative. The contrasting glimpse of witty sarcasm in middle of gloomy chaos. And her uncanny ability to bring out the angst, the heartbreak and the emotions brilliantly. Rain and Wes are perfectly imperfect. There are reasons I am addicted to her writing. She is never predictable, never boring and never mundane. A TOP 2019 READ AND A MUST MUST MUST READ ROMANCE. This magnetic dynamic overwhelming story is sheer brilliance!

Pray for a Wes in your life!

I loved this book so hard. I’m going to do a full on read along with the audiobooks.
This is the second book I’ve read of BB’s, and although I enjoyed them both, they are complete night and day.
Wesson, the loner/GQ model/Survivor is definitely my go to weapon in apocalyptic upheaval. If your looking for an amazing dystopian romance story, then Praying for Rain is the perfect book to sway your curious mind. Who knows, you may become an Easton lover for life.

My review of Bad boys don't die by B.B. Easton
4 and a half stakes!

I did enjoy this book with the whole end of the world thing. I love reading about apocalypse stuff when its written well. That is what really got my attention to read this book.
I love how the author really made us get into these two characters heads. This book is told from two points of views about how the world is so messed up and ending.
Rain whom I just love, right away you feel bad for her. You aren't exactly sure why. You just do. The way she describes everything in her eyes thata happening... You think damn really? How is it that the only place open in this small town is a burger place that is way taking advantage of everyone and everything open?

But when Rain decides she wants to get food from there her whole world changes.
With a poor decision and not thinking clearly Rain almost gets killed until Wes enters.
Now when Wes enters we all think great a savior and hero.

But nope he basically uses and kidnaps her to help him get food. With the both of them, their decisions almost get them killed a few times.
Wes sees the world and people basically as nothing. And he makes it clear and says it so many times.
You learn why he is the way he is. However I don’t feel that should excuse him for how he treats Rain who only tries to help him time and again.

Rain did irk me a few times I will admit, I kept thinking girl even though the world is suppose to end with the horsemen on April 23rd you definitely don’t need this dude's shit.
His I'm needing you and thank you and then you are a means to an end bs was really annoying.
He got so possessive with her and she hadn't realized it.
But we learned it when it went to his point of view.
Does Wes have redeeming qualities? Yes in fact he does. Towards the end he kind of realizes that wait a min and thinks I'm a dick.
But you still feel he just doesn't know how to do love and friendship.
The thing I enjoyed about this book is both characters with their flaws you learned why they felt and did what they did as the book went on.
What they learn in the end, the very last day changes everything. And that is what is going to keep readers coming back for more. Because you root for Rain and Wes. You want them to work and figure everything out with the world.
Like has it all been a lie with end of the world? Has the government been messing with everyone in the world? Or does everyone ruin it themselves?

Look for my upcoming review on the second book in this trilogy, coming soon.

Bad boys don't stay- 4 out of 5 Stakes! Review:

Okay I decided I'm going to review each book in the collection. To give a break down.

This book we see Wes leave Rain because he feels she is just going to leave him anyways. His motto is leave before he gets hurt it seems.
So this book is mainly told from Rain's p.o.v. and she goes through some shit I tell.
She feels abandoned by everyone and she is so lost. First Carter left her to go with his family. But then her and Wes end up at a abandoned mall and meet others and low and behold there is Carter and his little sister and mom and Dad.
So you see why Wes was thinking just leave.
Anyhow after Rain learns about how Carter really spent some of his time when they were together she starts reflecting on herself and the choices she has made with him and her mother.
When Wes leaves her she starts her downward spiral. She doesn’t want to leave the mall. Feels she needs to help her friends. And Carter is yeah I just plain don't like him.
He acts like well Wes left you so let me jump back in there.
Wrong dude, just wrong on so many levels.
Then there is Q this female sucks, really sucks. How a whole group of people including other adults allow this female to run everyone who is in this mall is beyond me. Especially Carter's parents who have a rifle and can just shoot the idiot. Well things escalate because Q finds out Rain has a backpack full of supplies. And basically hits her and no one does anything. Q goes out of her way to make Rain feel bad. Because they are the only two young females.
But Rain is so far gone in thinking about the death of her parents and Wes leaving her she honestly really doesn’t care.
On the news they say anyone who is caught helping the sick and disabled will be shot.

Wes seeing this and is already feeling guilty rushes back to Rain. Now here is the thing, great you realize you are a DICK. However really Rain??
But Rain being so in "love" with Wes she seems to have forgiven him and tries to act normal for Wes.
Anyhow things happen with Carter showing who he really is in my eyes. Which I already knew. Making Rain leave the only place she feels semi safe. But she leaves with Wes. I don't want to say anymore. But that ending, I was like oh crap really? Thank goodness I have the next book.

Bad boys don’t fall review:
5 out of 5 Stakes!!

Wow this, this book was the best for me. Cause damn Rain really got her courage and did some shit. Like she forked some shit up. She said Nope I'm not sitting back and letting them kill my happiness. She took some names for sure. And Wes I liked him more in this book. Because he really showed he can be happy and stop listening to his voice in his head telling him otherwise.
Carter and his family still suck. Especially his mother, which I will never forgive for what she did to Rain and such. The only person out of that family I like is the little sister.
We see how when people get tired of laying down and letting stuff happen, what you can do if you rise up against what's wrong.
Unsuspecting people stand up to help, some you didn't think would and could. When Rain stops at nothing to head to break Wes out of jail she forms alliances and maybe friends that she didn't realize she had.
This book definitely has you up reading all night just to finish it. I know I did.

✔️Praying for Rain - Praying for Rain will knock your world off its axis!

This all-new apocalyptic romance from author BB Easton is so much more than I was expecting. This genre is new to BB and she knocked it out of the park! Once again, she has reminded me of what a brilliant talent she is, with no constraints, and the power to wield her unicorn writing magic in any direction.

This is a dark, twisted, apocalyptic romance! It is not for the faint of heart. It will make you feel anxious, scared, and dejected. The realities of what would probably happen to our society and its morals when the end of the world is approaching is truly eye opening! But fret not, because this story is also infused with BB’s signature wit and humour. It is this combination of dark and light that equals a story like you’ve never read before!

The writing in Praying for Rain is so skillful that you feel every interaction, every situation, ever character trauma as if you are right there in the story. When Rain feels discarded, you feel it in your soul. When Wes feels angry, you too see red. BB’s carefully crafted words are pulled together throughout the book with seemingly inconsequential symbols or words that give you ALL THE FEELS!

Wes Parker is a survivor! He has been through so much in his 22 years that when the end of the world is approaching he is determined to live through it. But, when Wes meets Rainbow Williams all his carefully crafted plans go out the window and instead he begins to fumble through a mass of foreign feelings and emotions. His self-realization and growth in this book is heart-wrenching, but also so very beautiful.

Rainbow Williams has given up on life! With only 3 days left until the world ends, she has accepted her fate. Her only wish is to live through the next 3 days with as little emotion, memories, and feelings as possible. That is until she meets Wes and a new hope begins to bloom within her. I feel like there is so much more to Rain then we have seen! I cannot wait to know more about her past and what makes her tick.

This book is dark. This book is thrilling. This book is filled with the unexpected and its characters are extremely DAMAGED. BB has taken her past studies/employment as a Psychologist and completely mind f**ked me, but in the best possible way! It literally took me over 30 minutes to come down from the adrenaline rush I got at the end when I realized where the story was going. It was absolutely amazing!

There are not enough stars to rate this book! BRAV-F**KING-O BB! I cannot wait for Fighting for Rain!

✔️Fighting for Rain - I feel like every time I write a review for this author I say “She did it again!” But let me tell you....BB Easton DID. IT. AGAIN!!! She took this dystopian romantic suspense story to the NEXT LEVEL!!

In Fighting for Rain, Book 2 in the Rain Trilogy, we find out what happens to Rain, Wes, and humanity after April 23rd, the day of the “apocalypse”. Turns out, what happens next is an absolutely epic journey that takes Rain and Wes to the brink!

This book is darker than Praying for Rain. BB yields her magic as a storyteller to guide us through the days proceeding April 23rd. What our world might look like when humanity realizes that the world is not ending. And, how kindness, morals, and all out human decency is no longer relevant.

Wes Parker is still the ultimate survivor. He is strong and resilient, but still so very damaged. We see him start to realize that “supplies, shelter, and self-defense” are not the only things he needs to survive in this world. We see his internal walls come down, go back up, and come down again. We see the broken boy underneath the man finally begin to heal, to love, and to feel wanted.

Rain Williams has endured such tremendous trauma. With everything she holds dear gone from the world, we see her continue to break and struggle to accept her new reality. But, throughout this story we also start to see her grow. And, with Wes by her side, accepting her for who she is, pulling her out of her darkness, she learns she can survive anything.

This was an emotionally gritty, raw, and beautifully intense story. Rain and Wes’ struggle to be together and survive a “post-apocalyptic” world was at times hard to read, but necessary. We see both these individuals grow and open up. We see a love develop that is so powerful it has the ability to heal.

Fighting for Rain is a book that elicited all types of emotions from me. That is the power of this unique story, these two beautifully damaged characters, and BB’s brilliant talent as a writer.

Once again, the end of a book from this trilogy has left my mind- blown, my soul reeling, and my body full of adrenaline. The release of Dying for Rain, Book 3, cannot come quick enough!

There is not a rating system out there worthy enough for this book. Congratulations BB on this magnificent continuation to Rain and Wes’ story.

✔️Dying for Rain- There is only one way to conclude a dystopian romantic suspense trilogy and that is for it to be action packed, completely unpredictable, full of suspense, and infused with the most memorable of characters. Dying for Rain, the phenomenal conclusion to the Rain Trilogy by author BB Easton, completely delivered all of the above in the most BREATHTAKINGLY SATISFYING WAY!

No other writer could deliver such an emotionally and psychologically gritty novel. No other author could weave a world so dark, destructive, cruel, and full of amazing twists and turns. No other author could deliver two beautifully damaged and lovable characters like BB Easton can!

Rainbow Williams!!! Man did my love for her grow stronger in this book. In DfR she became EVERYTHING I had hoped for; strong, self-reliant, inventive, selfless, and BADASS! Rain comes to the realization that she wants a future and she wants a life with Wes. She does whatever it takes survive and to protect the ones she loves. Like I said, BADASS!

Wesson Parker (swoon). Wes showed me again why I LOVE/LUST him so much. In this book we see his love, concern, and protectiveness for Rain intensify. We see Wes grow even more into the man he wants to be; the man we all know he deserves to be. Wes continues to fight, but this time it’s not only just for himself, it’s for his future.

The growth of these two characters, separately and as a couple, is something very special to me. Once again, I will say Rain and Wes are two of my all-time favorite characters.

This book shows the reality of what could potentially happen if society as we know it crumbles; the darkness, the terror, and the injustices that would fall upon us. BB describes this decline in humanity so realistically, but with her signature wit and humor. BB also uses this wit and humor to gives us hope. Hope for a better future.

This is why BB is my favourite author! She knows exactly what a reader wants and gives it to them tenfold, but in her own unique way. I cannot even begin to give this book a rating, because no system seems worthy enough!

Congratulations BB on the end of a brilliant trilogy.

P.S. I am so sad to see this story end, but am keeping my fingers crossed that some “very smart people" in the powers that be, will make this into an epically amazing movie! ;)

Rain x Wes

I had heard of this series before it was re-released, and I’m stoked to finally read this. This book has all the angst, and all conflicting emotions that only a dystopian romance will make you feel. I was hooked from the first page in right until the end. From the nail-biting suspense to righteous anger and to the intense thrill of young love, the author had all these factors in spades as we dived in to Rain and Wes’ love story.

Bad Boys Don’t Die, the first book, showed us Rain being beaten to death by the mob inside the Burger Palace when Wes stepped in to “help” her. At first, Wes intended to use Rain for her worth before ditching her in the end. But along the way, Wes was intrigued by Rain’s quiet strength and promised to help her through her obvious trauma. Rain and Wes’ chemistry was instantaneous and became more intense as they learn more about each other’s past. This book ends in a cliffhanger and there are some scenes that maybe triggering to sensitive readers. Please check the author’s TW/ CW before diving into this story.

Bad Boys Don’t Stay, book two, continued where it left off when the main characters were leaving Franklin Springs to find shelter after their friend got hit with a shrapnel from a blown truck. They found sanctuary in the run-down mall where Rain met a shocking surprise, in the form of her e-boyfriend. In this book, we find Rain coming to grips with her trauma while Wes is dissecting his feelings for Rain. There were a lot of tension, drama, right along with the shock of revelation that the supposed end-of-the-world is one big lie. Again, this book ends in a cliffhanger and can’t wait to read book three!

Bad Boys Don’t Fall, the third and final book, continues with Wes’ life hanging on a balance. He took the fall for Rain and was put into jail for providing help for an injured friend. Of course, the betrayal was worse for Rain since the one who ratted was dearly close to her. Now Rain is on a mission to save Wes’ life and found unlikely allies to help her. Gahd! The suspense is killing me! Book three had me rooting like hell for these two young lovers! The angst, the feels, the longing, the anger, argh- I can’t get enough! This entire series is fucking amazing! Of course, this ends in an HEA, and rightly deserved so. Loved it and highly recommends!

Special thanks to the author and Valentine PR for providing an e-ARC in exchange for an honest review.

Angst: 💔💔💔💔

Cliffhanger? ❌️

Do I recommend it? ✔️

Tropes: dark romance, romantic suspense, new adult, close proximity, dystopian, one bed, opposites attract, small town

All he needs are some basic supplies, shelter, and a sucker willing to help him out, which is exactly what he hops to find when he returns to his hometown of Franklin Springs. As society crumbles, dangers mount, and secrets refuse to stay buried, two lost souls are thrust together in a twist of fate—one who will do anything to survive and one who can’t wait to die. Perhaps, together, they can learn how to live. Before their time runs out.

BB Easton has truly blown my mind with this trilogy! I normally steer clear of dystopian romances, which is why I didn’t read this when it was first released. But when I saw she was releasing a boxset, I decided to give it a chance. I am so thrilled I did! I've often said a book blew my mind or kept me on the edge of my seat but never like this brilliant work of art. The extensive plot included repeated shots of adrenaline to my heart as it was one hell of a thrill ride. Wes and Rain were unique in their characteristics, while each possessed inspirational qualities that kept me glued to their continued development. Theirs was a journey I won’t forget any time soon. I highly recommend this read. This is my honest opinion, freely given.

PRAYING FOR RAIN:
BB Easton just blew up my expectations for this book with the snap of her magic-wielding word-typing fingers. I seriously don’t know how she does it, transitioning effortlessly into a full-length fiction book that deviates quite far in genre from her previous novels. I guess it comes down to hard work and sheer talent. Praying for Rain is a rough apocalyptic romance where hope seems…well…hopeless.

FIGHTING FOR RAIN:
Here we are again. Me trying to articulate just how phenomenal of a storyteller BB Easton is. Fighting for Rain delivers so much more than I ever could have imagined.

The craptastic life he’s been dealt has left him with an extreme case of self-doubt. No one has ever cared about him before and though he loves Rain more than anything, he can’t fight his insecurity. But this man of men, this legend of a man, this epically heart-achingly loyal man shucks that doubt off the back of his motorcycle and fights for Rain with a renewed fervor.

I said it after Praying for Rain and I will say it now with my own renewed fervor—Wes and Rain are two of the best characters I have ever read. 5 plus plus plus plus plus stars for Fighting for Rain!

DYING FOR RAIN:
At the risk of being trendy, BB Easton DID THE DAMN THANG with the final book in The Rain Trilogy. The ending of book 2 was a doozy but I knew—I KNEW—BB would deliver a completely satisfying ending wrapped up with a pretty bow on top. Wrapped in skull and cross-bones paper of course, but still. Dying for Rain isn’t full of nothing but unicorns shooting rainbows out of their butts because it’s REAL to the whole story, and this grand story has been anything but frivolous.

I have to say it again in this review for the final time: Rain and Wes stole the show. Well honestly, Rainbow Freaking Williams had the last act in this story.

Dying for Rain definitely has BB’s signature humor delivered intelligently because come on, even when the world around us is terrifying, we need the jokes! But the state of the world and how it came to be that way is sobering, and there is an awful lot of true pain and heartbreak too. It’s not only real to the story, it’s downright believable to the anarchy that would occur if this happened in real life. It’s scary, but quite possible. People suck man. They really do. But through all the muck, Dying for Rain shows us that some humans are okay and humanity itself can bring hope. And that is undeniably wonderful. This entire trilogy deserves something far better than stars, whatever that might be. I will recommend reading these books for all time. They are so far beyond what you might think. And holy crap one more thing—can you even imagine how fantastic of a movie this series would make??!! AHHH!!!

Until Rain of course.

AHHH!!!

4.25 - 4.5 Stars!

Review for Book one -
Having first picked up this first installment a bit back, I've been wanting to read it again and get back into this world! I couldn't wait to dive into all three installments back to back. I picked this first book up and was immediately pulled right back in. I really enjoyed this first installment!

This first book in Rain and Wes's journey pulled me in immediately! Everything is ending and Wes is on a path to finding what he needs. Circumstances bring Rain and Wes together and that starts their adventure which is far from an easy one. Can they stick together and face everything?

Once again, Both Rain and Wes had my heart! I was glued to these two and their story. Both Rain and Wes were so real to me and I admired their humanness. I really liked the different way these two were brought together and the sides they brought out in one another. I didn't know how they'd handle being around one another and everything thrown their way. These two had me going through so many emotions with them from start to finish!

BB Easton has created such an utterly unique beginning that brought realness, edge of your seat moments, and all kinds of feels! I adore the way this author and her writing stays with me every time! I can't wait to get more of Rain and Wes in book two! 💙

Review for book two-
After Bad Boys Don'tDie I couldn't wait for more of this story and it's characters! I had to pick this second installment up right away and head right back into this world. I really enjoyed this continuation so much!

Rain and Wes's journey continues! I was pulled right back into their journey! These two have been through so much together already. As they faced things, can they face their feelings and find a way to stick together? Or will they be ripped apart?

Gah! I was so thrilled to be back with Rain and Wes! After book one, I didn't know what all was in store next for these two and oh did their journey ever keep me on edge and on my toes! Both Rain and Wes have been through so much in their lives as well as together and I was so glad that I got to dig even deeper with them. It's not easy and I wasn't sure how Rain and Wes would face their undeniable feelings and connection they shared as well as everything else thrown their way.

With this second installment, BB Easton has created such an awesome continuation that kept me glued to my kindle with my heart feeling it all! I need so much more of these characters. I can't wait to dive into book three next! 💙

Review for book three-

After reading Bad Boys Don'tDie and Bad Boys Don't Stay back to back I couldn't wait for more! This author and her writing has me hooked, always. I picked up this third installment and got right back into this world so quickly. I really enjoyed this third book so very much!

Rain and Wes's journey continues! Oh my heart! I needed so much more of these two. Rain and Wes have tackled so much head on, sticking together, and facing not only their feelings, but so much in their lives. Can Wes find a way out to be with Rain?

I was so happy to be reunited with Wes and Rain! After the first two installments, I couldn't wait to see how everything would play out in this one for these two. Just like with the previous two installments, my heart and I felt every bit right along with Rain and Wes. It continues not to be easy for these two. From their lives and the world to their feelings for one another, so much is going on for them.

The connection and chemistry between Rain and Wes was so beautiful and brought on the sparks! There was such strength to both Wes and Rain. I admired the determination that these two showed, especially Wes when it came to Rain. I wasn't sure how everything would go for them which had me even more glued to these two and their story! The intensity of their situation to their feelings for one another and every bit in between, it all shined throughout!

With this third installment, BB Easton has created a fantastic conclusion that had me on edge, glued to my kindle, and had me feeling every bit! This was such a unique and addictive journey that I did not want to turn away from! If you haven't checked out this author's work yet, you are missing out and need to change that! She's a go to author for me, always. I can't wait to read what she brings our way next! 💙

Be sure to read the author's CW note.

Man, what a ride this series is!
Ok I am going to break it down by book.
Just be prepared, this series will have you hooked!

Book #1

Bad Boys Don’t Die (formerly Praying for Rain) is original and unlike anything I have read before. It completely blew any expectations I had out of the water.
BB Easton has such an undeniable talent when it comes to writing and creating a story that you can feel in your bones.

Bad Boys Don’t Die is a dark and raw tale about the looming apocalypse.
It isn’t hard to envision the chilling picture that has been painted. How easily everything can turn to chaos and your world could literally start to fall and crumble with the knowledge that the end of the world has a date. How quickly people turn ruthless and take on a “take no prisoner” attitude. The reality of how fast and far our society could spiral is nailed perfectly.
As for these characters, they are life!

Wes will fight, steal and do absolutely anything to survive. He isn’t going to just roll over, give up and accept this fate. He has spent his whole life taking what he wants and needs to survive, and he doesn’t depend on anyone else for help.
Enter Rain.

She has a different approach on how to handle her last days on earth but when their paths cross, plans start to change, and they find themselves leaning on one another. She realizes that she no longer wants to be numb to it all. After all, she is a survivor!

This book was fantastic, and I can’t wait to see more fight from Wes and Rain.
A must read!
5 plus stars!

Book # 2
It should go without saying but I will say it again, BB Easton has found her calling and it is writing! She becomes stronger with every book she writes. She is a brilliant storyteller, and I am here for it!

BB is so expressive when she writes that I feel like I’m living it, I get chills!
The emotions she pulls from her readers are real! She brings these raw, intense, gritty, questionable and relatable characters to life with her words. You feel the heartache, longing, anxiety, fear and uncertainty they feel, and you root for them to overcome.

Bad Boys Don’t Stay is a dark and chilling tale that leaves us finding out what happens the days after when the looming apocalypse never came in Bad Boys Don’t Die. (book 1)

Your motto, your way of life starts to change, and you have to make a new plan, readjust and reset.
You must face all the nightmares, demons and horrific things you have endured and find a way to keep going, to survive.
I have said it before and I will say it again, Wes and Rain are life!

As for that ending O.M.G.!!
This book deserves all the stars!

Book # 3

What. A. Ride!!
I am in awe of BB Easton!
Bad Boys Don’t Die and Bad Boys Don’t Stay were brilliantly written but this conclusion in Bad Boys Don’t Fall, is a true masterpiece!
BB has perfectly delivered an action packed, vivid, edge of your seat, wild ride for the final instalment in The Bad Boys Don’t Die collection.
Never in my life would I think that I would love an apocalyptic dystopian so much but at this point I’m convinced she can write absolutely anything and have everyone craving more. I always feel like a junkie waiting for my next hit and I mean that I’m the best possible way lol.

These characters are perfection!
Rain became everything I hoped she would. Strong, assertive, compassionate, alive and just an all-around warrior. She wasn’t going to just lay down and let others dictate what was going to happen anymore. She was done being pushed around and having those she loved being ripped from her life. We got to see her grow and flourish and I want to be her when I grow up!!

As for Wes, I adore him!!!
He loves Rain with everything that he has. He becomes surer of what he wants and is willing to go to hell and back in order to protect what is his.
I loved getting to watch the relationship between Wes and Rain grow more solid as each book passed. Even though it didn’t span a long time period it felt solid and unbreakable.

I wish it were possible to give this book more than 5 stars, it was just that good!
