It's yours to do with whatever you please." - Leo4 ⭐️/ 3🌶️I loved this book. It had me hooked from the prologue. There wasn’t much push/pull between the main characters but I was a-ok with it. Leo was so patient with Scarlett and had so much TLC for her. I did not see the plot twist coming but I did develop some suspicions and I was so totally correct on who the villain was.I definitely want more of the Alarie brothers and sister Madeleine. I do hope Ashley releases Mauro and Alina’s book first but heck I loved them all so much I’d take whatever brother was offered next! 😏

    I absolutely loved this book! Leo was everything an MMC should be, and Scarlett was just so fantastically written. This was truly a love story in every sense of the word. There is trauma and heartache so be sure to mind your triggers. But the overwhelming love that Leo has for Scarlett was really the shining star in this story for me. The danger and mystery was on point, and kept me guessing up until the end. I am so looking forward to future books in this series!

    “Without you, I would be broken in the dark.”

    I really enjoyed this book and would recommend for fans of trauma and hurt/comfort. It is Mafia based but the story really focuses on Scarlett, her healing journey from a very traumatic kidnapping event, and how her relationship with Leo blossoms from uncertainty to rock solid.

    Their relationship starts when they are younger and then a 7 year gap ensues before circumstances bring them back together. They end up in a marriage of convenience that forces them to face their feelings for each other as they navigate the new norm.

    Leo Alarie is perfection. He may be my favorite MC I’ve read recently. He is the epitome of MY WIFE and the way he handled certain situations was swoon worthy, notably with a certain doctor and when he knew Scarlett was uncomfortable in situations where people would try to touch her. He was a rock for Scarlett in all ways, emotionally and physically. From the flowers to the library, to slowly helping Scarlett build back up her power and confidence, in and out of the bedroom. Scarlett blossoms as the story progresses and I loved seeing her regain her power, her confidence in herself, and her relationship with Leo.

    Leo’s family is Mafia and the plot on finding Scarlett’s kidnapper unravels other secrets. There is action and suspense weaved through the story and we get a few plot twists by the end. I do enjoy a good romantic suspense but what really grabbed me with this book was the hurt/comfort/healing of Scarlett and how Leo played a role in it. This is what made the read IMO.

    This is my first read by this author and I’m definitely looking forward to more.

    I love love loveee how sweet Leo was. This is exactly what I try to find in mafia romances. Where the guy is in the mafia but he’s not rude and disrespectful to the FMC. Leo was sooo kind and so understanding and handled any miscommunication perfectly! So much suspense and I loveddd every character. I can’t wait for Alina and Mauro!

    Full of action, mystery and twists and turns, this book kept me guessing and I didn’t want to put it down. I loved the Alarie brothers, and Leo’s sweet spot only for Scarlett when to the rest of the world, he is feared.

    Not to give too much away, but if you enjoy mafia romance, touch her and 💀 vibes, second chance, this book is for you.

    Please read TW as there is definitely dark themes and situations throughout the book. There were a couple parts I had difficulty with, but it didn’t take away from the plot or story. I’m excited for this series to continue so we get to know the Alarie brothers.

    Scarlett is kidnapped and tortured by "Le Diable". Six long weeks Leo does everything he can to find his childhood friend, his teenage love, his firefly. When he finds her chained to the floor in the dark of a basement he swears to do everything necessary to help her and protect her. With Le Diable still on the loose and known other identity Leo marries to protect her further and draw out the devil.
    With the devil's identity concealed Leo has very little to go off to find him and make him pay but he will. He will do whatever it takes, all while he gets to call Scarlett his wife.
    This dark, arranged marriage, mafia, millionaire romance is captivating. The anguish that Scarlett goes through is palpable and so is Leo's at what has happened to her. You feel their love, their history, their chemistry. The spice also spices!
