"What sets Melissa Foster apart are her compelling characters who you care about... desperately...I dare you to read the first chapter and not be hooked." International bestseller, M.J. Rose
"Melissa Foster is a wonderful connector of readers and books, a friend of authors, and a tireless advocate for women. She is the real deal"--Author Jennie Shortridge
"Same." Never did this simple word hold so much meaning. Not a lot of authors could do that, but Melissa did it seamlessly. 'Same' will never be the same again for me. Always Her Love is friendship and love personified, enveloped nicely in a lot of swoon, dirty talking galore, and steam that may fog up your Kindle. Have I mentioned single dads are my kryptonite? Damn it, Levi!
"You're playing a dangerous game, blondie, letting me know I got you wet." Levi is amazing. He's a wonderful guy who embraced his life as a dad when he was only 20, and never looked back. His love for his daughter is heartwarming. He is also adorably clueless – one of those guys who can't see what's right in front of him even after everyone else has. He thinks he's not fit to be loved, when he already is, and so so much.
"Tara wasn't just sweet, beautiful, and smart. She was selfless, and in today's world that was a rarity." Tara will be a hard one to forget. She really is selfless. She cares for Levi and for her niece as if she's part of their family already, and she really wants to be. You see, she's been carrying a torch for Levi since she was a kid, but she never thought he'd see her like that. She's kind of adorably clueless too, and she's almost hiding in the shadows, waiting for someone to set her free.
And then one single, not-so-innocent comment from Archer, Levi's brother, changes everything. About damn time, too!
"I love him for the kind boy he was when he found me hiding in the pantry." So, Levi and Tara have known each other for a long time, since they were kids. Their parents were friends. She's always had a massive crush on him, and that crush has been steadily escalating into something she doesn't want to name. She's always there for both him and her niece, but it's getting harder and harder to stay away. Something's gotta give, so she's made up her mind: it's time to stop pining for Levi and get on with her life.
"Put me out of my misery, T. Tell me whether I'm alone in this or if you feel it, too." There's a problem, though. Levi is suddenly thinking about her more than he used to, and probably more than he should, and in a totally different light. He's noticing her outside their friendship. But he's seeing things, right? There's no chance this gorgeous girl could be interested in him. Once those thoughts infiltrate his brain, they're soon followed by the two most dangerous words in the English language ... what if?
"I can't believe my legs are working." "They won't be after Joey goes to bed." These two are incredible together. They've been there for each other for such a long time, but once they go beyond their friendship, it's on. They never saw that they had become a family of sorts, easily, seamlessly. And now that Levi's eyes are open? Well... the dirty talking, all the teasing, and all the touching almost did me in. And... let's just say I developed a craving for éclairs, and I'm not even a fan!
"I want to gather the things you say and bottle them up so I can keep them forever." "How about you just keep me forever?" There's a lot of pushing and pulling, and tension, and I was here for it. Levi is relentless. He's afraid to damage their relationship, but it gets to a point where he doesn't know what to do anymore. It's time to lay it all on the line and take a risk that will allow them to be happy. And Tara? She has her own things to deal with, and she's not used to being happy. She's not used to being wanted, and definitely not as Levi wants her: unashamedly, completely. She broke my heart at times, and that made their HEA even sweeter.
"I have loved you since before I even understood what that word really meant." Joey is the perfect complement to their relationship, and she's the cutest. Of course his family is there and you get to see Jock, Grant (my favorite!), and Archer, along with her friends Jules and Bellamy. I love this sense of belonging I got from this book. I was right there, even though I was actually, and unfortunately, sitting in my living room.
"In my heart, it's always been you." It took them a while to see beyond who they were and into what they could be. They bring out the best in each other, and awaken parts of each other's personalities that were waiting to come to light. It's always been him for her. The one. And she's always been the one for him, too. They have finally found each other in every way.
HOT SINGLE DAD ALERT! Oh how I loved Levi the dirty talking, hot, single dad that all the single moms wish they could make theirs but he only has eyes for one woman.
I know beyond a shadow of a doubt that when I pick up a Melissa Foster book I am going to loose myself in a world of Romance that I won't want to leave, each and every book has me hooked from the first page and this one was no different.
We have been teased with Levi and Tara's story for a while, will they or won't they that was the ultimate question. A question that we finally have answered in the HELL YEAH THEY WILL category, and I for one couldn't be happier.
Levi Steele has been a single father to his precious little girl Joey since the moment she was born, in this story we find out all the sordid details on why that happened. Her mother isn't in the picture but her Aunt Tara has always been a HUGE part of her life, every school break, holiday, summer vacation, etc. Tara was there helping Levi care for his daughter. Tara and Joey have an amazing bond and there is a great friendship between Tara and Levi as well. There also might be a bit of a crush on Tara's end, but Levi being a guy and all he has no clue about. LOL
All teasing aside well from me anyway, Levi's family is a different story, Everyone and I mean EVERYONE can see how perfect these two are for one another Levi just needs a little nudge to open his eyes and his brother Archer is just the person to do it. And when that happens there's no turning back. The chemistry is amazing but it's the genuine friendship between Levi and Tara that makes this couple an amazing pair, and the way each of them love the precious Joey equally. Tara is the perfect woman to complete this little family.

“I have loved you since before I even understood what that word really meant, and she needs to know it.”
This is the fourth book in The Steeles at Silver Island and I’m absolutely obsessed with Levi and Tara. This book had me at Single dad, Forbidden romance. I couldn’t put this book down. I’m obsessed with the world Melissa has created in her books and how they all connected to other series.
Tara had a hard time when she was younger due to her sister and mother constantly bullying her but there was always one person that made her feel better, Levi. Tara and Levi have known each other most of their lives, Tara has always had a crush on Levi and it has only grown as the years gone by. Levi closed his heart when he became a single dad to Joey at a young age and the one person that is always there for them is Joey’s aunt, Tara. Levi has never thought of Tara as anything other then his daughter’s aunt that is until his brother mentions that he should ask her out and now that all he can think about. So when Levi and Tara realize they both have the same feelings for each other, their chemistry is like a wildfire that can’t be stopped. They have amazing banter and chemistry throughout the entire book. I really enjoyed how supportive they are of one another and how they don’t hesitate to be there for each other. I love the bond Tara and Joey share and how happy she is when she finds out their dating. They are such a cute family.
“In my heart it’s always been you.”
I can’t wait to read Leni’s book!!!
I would recommend if you like: 💙Single Dad 💙Age gap 💙Unrequited Love 💙Dirty Talking Hero 💙Small Town 💙Forbidden Romance (his Daughter’s Aunt) 💙Steamy Scenes🔥
A special thanks to Melissa Foster and her team for giving me an ARC!!!
Always Her Love was the fourth book in The Steeles at Silver Island series by Melissa Foster. It was one of her many in the Love in Bloom series, but all can be read as a standalone.
A couple quick thoughts: this was a quintessential sexy, single dad, friends to lovers, off limit trope. Add in the younger sister of a hook up / baby mama and it brings more drama. All of that was in the description, so no spoilers. And with all the build up of drama, it wasn’t exactly as you’d think. It was still steamy sexy but it was also sweet between Levi, Tara and of course Levi’s daughter, Joey. It was also full of life lessons. All in all, another successful read from Foster.
Levi and Tara were the best sweet couple that I've been reading for a while.
To be honest at first I thought that this will be some kind of a love triangle, considering that Levi had a one night stand years ago with Tara's sister and the result was his daughter. Thankfully, that was not the case. It was all about Tara and Levi's relationship.
They did danced around each other when It was about their feelings towards each other. Tara has been in love in Levi for eternity and he just recently realized that he also fells the same.
The heat between them was always there, so when decided to act upon them it was really beautiful and exciting.
Of course I can not skip the love scenes that Melissa gave us. The fire was beyond everything that I can imagine. And let me tell you, it was spicy galore 🌶️🌶️🌶️.
I do admit, the book was quite long and it did took me a while to read it, but I am happy I did it. The book was wonderful.
***I received an ARC copy of this book and all my opinions are my own.***
I received a free copy of this book to read and review for Wicked Reads, so here is my review. This story will grab you from the first page until the very end. Levi and Tara are close friends although Tara would love for it to be more. Levi has never thought of her that way until it is brought to his attention and now she is all he thinks about. Tara has loved Levi for as long as she can remember but her sister is Joey's mom and she didn't want to mess up anything for Joey if her sister decided that she wanted to be a Mom and come back home. When Levi and Tara realize that each other has feelings for each other, the fireworks light up the skies like it's the fourth of July. Their chemistry is off the charts and when Joey finds out, she is even happier. Is there a HEA for these three who deserve so much more? I love this author and her stories of Silver Island make me want to move there. Each story is of a different couple and you still get all of the friends and families which makes it even better. This one is filled with past hurt, pain, teen crushes, love, best friends, and forever families. Everything to make a story great.
I loved Levi and Tara’s story! It was so hard to understand how Tara’s sister Amelia could be so cruel to her sister. Plus their mother seemed to be the one to always put Tara down. I felt bad that Amelia got to Levi one night when he was young and stupid. Amelia never wanted her child Joey, but Levi wanted her. Levi was the best dad you could want. He not only had his family helping him raise Joey, but also Aunt Tara. All of Levi’s siblings loved him, but they could sure give him a hard time trying to get him to see what was in front of his eyes. Once his brother got into his head about Tara, then he started to open his eyes. I thought it was funny that such a big, tough guy could be so insecure about a woman. I can’t imagine loving someone most of your life and the other person not noticing. It was a beautiful love story that you don’t want to miss. I strongly encourage you to read it. I was given a copy and voluntarily wrote a review.
Tara has been in love with her friend and her sister's ex, forever it seems. She's told herself recently that she absolutely has to get over her unrequited feelings, though, because Levi not only doesn't see her as anything but a friend and aunt to his daughter, but she knows she's letting life pass her by pining for an off-limits person. But are her eyes deceiving her or is Levi starting to look at her with something other friendship in his eyes? Are his lingering glances and touches more than he usually gives her?
Levi's life has for so long consisted of caring for his unexpected but very much loved, daughter, Joey, and his friends and family, of whom Tara is definitely included. But after a little goad by his brother about when he's going to make a move on her, he's starting to let some decidedly more than friendly thoughts enter his head about her. His control is starting to slip and he's about to possibly mess things up between him and his and Joey's rock. He can only hope she doesn't turn him down flat when he finally tells her how he feels.
I'm not sure how Melissa does it, but she always makes me tear up! Tara and Levi made me bring out the tissues more than once, but they also made me fall in love with them and their very sweet and sexy journey from friends to soulmates. I love how once Levi lets his feelings loose, he's all in, and damn his wooing of Tara is downright swoon worthy. Tara has such a huge heart, and the way it took a battering from people who were supposed to love her made me hurt so for her. But she's so strong, and she has a strong support network in Levi and his family and her friends, so she was able to buck up her backbone and make it through. I love this friends to more couple, their daughter Joey, and the whole island of loved ones. Now I'm very anxiously awaiting the next Steele to fall head over heels.
Levi, Tara and Joey were so perfect together. You can always count on Melissa Foster for a heartfelt read with very little angst. The Steeles are one of my favorite families. Can’t wait for Leni & Duncan!
I absolutely loved this book! I had already loved Levi from previous books, but he was even more great in this book. I loved Levi and Tara’s relationship and how it changed/evolved. I highly recommend this book. Once I started, I couldn’t put it down.
I absolutely loved this book. The tension has been simmering between Levi and Tara for quite some time, so it was no surprise to read how explosive these two are when they get together. Add in the cute, sassy Joey and you have yourself a thoroughly enjoyable read. Warm humour, hot sexy times, plus the characters in Silver Island and Harborside - it's another hit!
Always Her Love is book four of The Steeles At Silver Island series of hot romance stories.
Single dad Levi has been raising is daughter Joey alone since her birth when Joey’s mother handed her straight over and left. Luckily, family and friends have supported him all through the tough times of parenthood.
Tara is Joey’s aunt and she’s played a huge part in helping to raise Joey, giving love and friendship in the absence of her sister. Tara has also had another reason to want to be in Joey and Levi’s lives; she’s had a secret crush on Levi since her own childhood.
Levi has been wearing blinkers for years when it comes to his feelings for another adult. It takes just a few wise words from his brother to tear off those blinkers and to throw Levi into disorder. Now he can’t stop thinking about Tara.
The heat is turned up high in this romance as Levi and Tara work out how to keep Joey their priority while exploring their own relationship. There are several difficult knots to untie along the way. With the Silver Island setting as a background to this story and a wonderful set of secondary characters, this book is another winner for me.
Mary – ☆☆☆☆☆ This story will grab you from the first page until the very end. Levi and Tara are close friends, although Tara would love for it to be more. Levi has never thought of her that way until it is brought to his attention and now, she is all he thinks about.
Tara has loved Levi for as long as she can remember, but her sister is Joey's mom and she didn't want to mess up anything for Joey if her sister decided that she wanted to be a mom and come back home. When Levi and Tara realize that they both have feelings for each other, the fireworks light up the skies like it's the Fourth of July. Their chemistry is off the charts and when Joey finds out, she is even happier. Is there a happily ever after for these three who deserve so much more?
I love this author, and her stories of Silver Island make me want to move there. Each story is of a different couple, and you still get all of the friends and families, which makes it even better. This one is filled with past hurt, pain, teen crushes, love, best friends, and forever families. Everything to make a story great.
Ruthie – ☆☆☆☆☆ This is the fourth book in this particular series but as any fan of Melissa Foster knows, all her books are interlinked and it is like re-entering a familiar world full of wonderful friends and people across the country who have connections which make them close, even if far away. I recommend them all to you!
Here we finally see Levi and Joey get their happily ever after with the one person who has been there all along – Tara. Both Levi and Tara were done a great wrong by her sister, Amelia, but finally there is a hope that they will be able to move beyond the difficult past and enjoy the family that they have been building for years.
There are obviously a few stumbling blocks and internal worries that cause them both to be concerned, but in the end, the love of their friends and each other gives them the courage and the strength to go for what they want, whatever the complications.
Another delicious installment in the Steeles of Silver Island series!
Reviewers received a free copy of this book to read and review for Wicked Reads.
[I received a digital arc for an honest review] Always Her Love by Melissa Foster is the 4th book in the Steeles at Silver Island series. No worries, this and every book in the series and be fully enjoyed as a stand alone. This one follows single father Levi as he opens his eyes to the feelings he's been harboring for Tara, his close friend and daughter's aunt. "How could I have been blind for so long?" He kissed her tenderly.
Tara was such a relatable character for me as a full figured woman whose always struggled with her self-confidence and weight. I had similar family dynamics growing up and went through the same sort of mental health and healing my relationship to food that she did, so I found myself very protective of her while reading. I despised her sister, but was happy that she no longer let her break her down like when they were young. And I was so proud of her when she stood up to her mother. Tara was just a winner for me, and I was rooting for her to get her dreams of becoming a real family with Levi and Joey. They made the most adorable family unity. "I've wanted you for as long as I can remember." Something inside him snapped, unleashing desire so primal he couldn't hold back.
Levi was such a fantastic single dad, and I felt bad that he had to deal with such a crappy baby momma situation. (Seriously, Tara's sister is the absolute worst!) He's simply a kind and loving man and treated Tara as important even before he realized his feelings for her were deeper than friendship. I do wish he hadn't flirty teased her so much in the beginning because it was a bit frustrating and just confused Tara. However, they had some amazing sexual tension that pays off beautifully. Even before he learns of how much Tara's mother and sister broke her down over her weight , Levi always made her feel beautiful inside and out. Their intimate scenes are hot as sin and since they have a bit of a long distance situation at times we are given a few deliciously steamy scenes that take place over the phone. "God, baby," he said against her lips. "How can I miss being close to you this much after only a few hours?" He trailed kisses along her jaw. "You own me, sweetheart."
The story itself was enjoyable. Our couple has a slight slow burn filled with great sexual tension. It's packed full of family time, gatherings with friends, and alone time for Levi and Tara. There's even innocents pranks and one that goes a bit too far -think Winston from New Girl and one of his way to big prank ideas 🤦♀️ Always Her Love by Melissa Foster is a heartwarming single parent romance that's high on steam and filled with a skater princess little girl, gardening, pranks, making memories, supportive friends, and a happily ever after.
I received this book for free in exchange for an honest review. This does not affect my opinion of the book or the content of my review. One can always count on Melissa Foster to deliver an emotional and steamy love story guaranteed to win your heart. Well, Always Her Love delivered as expected, with a delightful friends to lovers storyline.
Always Her Love, the fourth book in the Steeles at Silver Island series, gives us Levi and Tara’s story. Levi epitomized the term awesome dad. He assumed the role of fatherhood when he was twenty years of age and he fought to give his daughter, Joey, the best life possible. His focus was looking after his daughter and, as a result, was blind to what’s in front of him. While his friends and family saw it, he remained oblivious.
Tara was a delightful heroine, one with which most readers can relate. Selfless and talented. As a child, she had a huge crush on Levi, and as the years went by; she fell completely in love with him. She believed her feelings were not reciprocated. So she plans to distance herself from him and Joey, who was also her niece, after being a part of their lives for so long. However, when his brother Archer commented on their obvious attraction to each other, it opened the floodgates. Soon, Levi and Tara’s relationship would develop beyond friendship.
Tara and Levi complemented each other, both as friends and as lovers. They brought out the best in each other. The friendship they shared and Tara’s devotion to her niece made the move from friends to lovers seamless. They were practically a family long before they became more.
The story was rife with sexual tension. Fear of damaging their friendship prevented Levi from moving too quickly. However, when his desire became too much to bear, he knew he had to take the risk. The outcome made the risk worthwhile. Their journey came with its share of obstacles, most of which was a product of their past.
Reading about Tara’s struggles as a child up broke my heart. Her sister, and the mother of Levi’s daughter, played a major role in the emotional pain and trauma she experienced as a child. One can understand the insecurities Tara struggled with as an adult. Sad to say, her sister was and is still a bitch. The way she treated her daughter spoke volumes.
In Always Her Love, Foster gives her readers a story of love, healing, friendships and family which will keep you glued to the pages. It possesses all the elements to satisfy die hearted romance readers. This review was originally posted on Totally Addicted to Reading
I love Silver Island, the little small town is my favorite place in Romancelandia. It's also where a couple (yes, more than one) of my favorite book boyfriends live. Talking about book boyfriends, I recently had to add another book boyfriend. Yes, I had to because there was no other option, the man I'm talking about has it ALL! He looks like a rough, tattooed God, has a heart of pure gold, is sweet as sugar, and loyal as a dog but don't hurt his loved ones because he also is overprotective. Who is this hero, you ask? It's Levi Steele, the hero from Always her Love by Melissa Foster (The Steeles at Silver Island #4)
It also was amazing to get to know Tara. She is the Island's most wanted photographer and Joey's aunt. She is sweet, strong, independent, caring, and selfless. I loved seeing her morph from this innocent, shy person into the sexy vixen who would ask what she wanted, but also into someone who would stand up for herself. Tara and Levi have a real connection and a strong friendship that, over the years, has grown into a deep-rooted love. These two people coming together and having their own HEA was inevitable. Their love that had the time to simmer for all those years translates into the steamy scenes, they were desperate and insatiable for each other, and I was here for it.
A shout-out to Joey, the most badass skater princess around, I love her and her bond with Levi and aunt Tara. The relationship with her mother and the way Melissa Foster described it wasn't only heartbreaking but also correct. It shows again how much time the author takes to do research.
Melissa Foster always delivers all the feels. In this book, I felt everything Levi and Tara felt, from their heartbreak and worries to their ultimate feeling of happiness.
Melissa Foster is the Queen of feel-good romance, which radiates from every word she wrote in Always her Love. It's perfect for lovers of stories that contain a small age gap, an unrequited/forbidden love, lots of friends and family shenanigans, humor, emotions, steam, and so much more.
I received an ARC from the author but am voluntarily leaving my honest review.
When I read the upcoming blurb for this book many months ago, the part "the one man she could never have" stuck in my thoughts. Oh, I knew she would eventually have him, but never did I anticipate the enthralling, exciting, and heart-pounding way that Melissa Foster would deliver it. HOLY SMOKES!
I understand the hesitation giving that Tara is Joey's aunt, but when the heart finds its perfect match, there is no denying nor fighting what plays out. Levi's feelings were obviously always there, but he puts up limitations on what he can feel for Tara - even if he doesn't realize it at first. Once the blinders are taken off, this couple creates so much heat that if you're wearing glasses, you might have to take them off to de-fog a time or two.
Joey is the sweetest and has such a fun personality. I love that she's not shoved into a certain mold and allowed to freely express herself. She adds numerous laughable moments, as well as those times when your heart is squeezed in anguish for the sweet girl and what she experiences.
Tara's sister, Amelia, is a real piece of work, but I love how adult both Levi and Tara are when dealing with her by placing boundaries, while still allowing Joey to have contact with her. What she pulls is dirty, conniving, and UGH! I love how some characters transition into treating Tara the way she should have always been treated.
After reading this, you will never look at an eclair or a cupcake the same way without thinking of Levi Steele's sexy moves!
I received a complimentary copy for reviewing purposes. All opinions are my own.
Always Her Love is the fourth book in Melissa Foster's incredible The Steeles at Silver Island series and is single dad Levi, Tara and adorable little Joey's addictive story. When Levi Steele found out he was going to be a dad, despite his young age there was no other option for him but to be the best father he could be and when Joey came along, Levi has never felt love like he does for his little girl and has put her and her needs above everything else, including finding love for himself. But love was a lot closer then he realised in the form of Joey's Aunt Tara. Tara has crushed on Levi Steele since she was young and seeing him become a dad and how he is with Joey made her fall even deeper. But Levi doesn't look at Tara in that way, she's just Joey's Aunt, he'll never see her in the way she so desperately wants...Or will he? After a comment made by one of his brothers, everything becomes clear for Levi, he has feelings for Tara, how could he not see it before. "I think I've been into you for a few years, but I suppressed it. I closed the door to relationships after Joey was born to focus on her, and it wasn't until Archer said those things and opened that door that I really saw you, all of you, and our friendship, for what it was, and then I couldn't unsee it or unfeel the things I felt." Now that Levi realises his true feelings, what will he do about them? Will he make Tara his and become a family or will Levi's fears of messing up Joey and Tara's relationship be too big of an obstacle to overcome? Read Always Her Love now to find out! I LOVED, LOVED Always Her Love, I could not put it down and Levi, Tara and Joey stayed with me long after I read the end. I cannot wait for the next book in this phenomenal series and I'll be counting down the days! Always Her Love is the perfect example of why Melissa Foster is one of favourite authors, her books grip you from the very start with great storylines and lovable characters that have you hoping that they'll get their own books! I received an arc of Always Her Love and I am voluntarily leaving my review.

Here we finally see Levi and Joey get their HEA with the one person who has been there all along - Tara. Both Levi and Tara were done a great wrong by her sister Amelia, but finally there is a hope that they will be able to move beyond the difficult past and enjoy the family that they have been building for years.
There are obviously a few stumbling blocks and internal worries that cause them both to be concerned, but in the end the love of their friends and each other gives them the courage and the strength to go for what they want, whatever the complications.
Another delicious installment in the Steeles of Silver Island series!
Levi and Joey have been in several past stories as we have read a few of Levi’s siblings’ romance stories. Now it’s Levi’s turn to fall in love… or has he already?
Levi became a single father at a very young age and Joey’s mom, Amelia, really doesn’t want to be a mom. Amelia’s sister, Tara, however; has been there for Joey and Levi since Joey was born. In fact, Tara and Levi have been friends since Tara was Joey’s age and they have been friends ever since.
Levi’s two brothers and sister have fallen in love, and one of those brothers puts a little bug in Levi’s ear that has him looking at his friends – or a particular friend – in a whole new light.
Always Her Love was a little slower than Melissa’s typical romances. There is a lot on the line – not just two hearts and friendship; but a child’s heart, a lifelong friendship, other family members – there is so much that could go wrong and be ruined. And who knows if the feelings are reciprocated?
When the romance comes, the romance COMES!
Always Her Love was so racy, sexy, and HOT. I swear the pages were smoking!
This is definitely a romance that you don’t want to miss. It will touch the soft spot in your heart as our single father finds the love of his life to make a happy ever after family.
This book is A-FREAKING-MAZING! Like any Melissa Foster book, I could not put this down. I love a good single dad story and let me just tell you, Levi in all his sexiness did not disappoint.
If you have read any of the silver island series you already know and love Levi, Tara and Joey. If this is your first time reading a book in this series trust me when I tell you it will only take you about 2 minutes to fall in love with then as well as their entire family.
When Levi found out he was going to be a dad and the mother wanted nothing to do with the baby he didn’t hesitate to step up and be the amazing dad Joey needed from the day she was born. When Tara finds out her sister is pregnant with Levi’s baby and wants nothing to do with Levi or the baby she immediately steps in and becomes the best Aunt ever. Through her love and dedication being Aunt Tara, her and Levi become best friends and the 3 of them form an unbreakable bond.
Tara has always secretly loved Levi but Levi saw her only as Joey’s aunt and his best friend. Just when Tara is about to give up on a relationship with Levi, he finally opens his eyes to the feelings he really has for Tara. Let me just tell you to hold the freak on when these 2 come together. Hot would be an understatement! Levi is honest to god the best dad ever and will melt your heart over and over! He is incredibly sweet and tender to both Joey and Tara but when he gets Tara alone and they are behind doors…..no words for that sexiness!
This book was nothing short of single dad, best friends to lover’s perfection! I love every book in the Steeles at Silver Island series but hands down this one is my favorite. This will for sure be a book I read over and over throughout the years.
“You are the first and only woman I have ever loved, and I know I will love you until I have no breath left to give.”
“You are mine, and I am yours, and I will always take care of you.”
Tara has had a crush on Levi Steele since she was eight years old. She never got over it! She had a miserable older sister who always put her down and a Mother who wasn't much better. Luckily as she got older she made friends who made her feel like she was worth it. Levi used to try and make her feel better also. They were very close friends-although Tara wished it was more. When her older sister had Levi's baby--but wanted nothing to do with her--Levi became a father who was wonderful. Tara loved the baby from the first time she ever saw her and became a wonderful Aunt.
Then came the spring break when Tara was going to spend it with the two of them like she always did. Both were afraid if they took their relationship any further--it would ruin their perfect friendship. Tara was trying to forget him--he was trying to deny the feelings he was beginning to realize he had for her. Then that fateful evening when they kissed--sparks flew--
Afraid to let his daughter know they kept it under wraps. But secrets tend to get uncovered in Silver Island--
There is picture perfect ending which you will have to uncover after reading this book.
I love my visits to Silver Island and for me single dad Levi Steele and his daughter Joey’s story is the best in the series so far, I loved everything about this wonderful journey. Levi owns Husband for Hire and he is also raising his daughter Joey who loves spending time with her auntie Tara so when Tara needs help finding a home he jumps to the challenge but neither of them expected their friendship to move onto lovers. Crossing this line could not only ruin their friendship ir could also break Joey’s heart so what happens when Levi finds out Tara has crushed on him for many years….one click to find out. I loved everything about Always Her Love, I fell hook, line and sinker for Levi and his adorable biker chick daughter, I adored Tara but what made this a special read was the bond this trio shared, it was a bond that jumped off the pages and took over my life. This is a journey about friendships, bonds and finding love when you least expect it. Beautifully written love story with wonderful characters.
This book should come with a warning: CAUTION: HAWT! Seriously though, Levi and Tara's story is probably the hottest in the Steeles at Silver Island series so far. Levi is a dirty talker, and Tara has no qualms being open to not just listening to every naughty thing he says, but after years of crushing on the guy, she's eager and willing to explore new facets of their relationship. I loved seeing them go from platonic to passionate to romantic, and I appreciated that there wasn't any sort of drama-rama. Melissa Foster delivers a sweet and steamy romance with a moving story of family and home. Levi and Tara as main characters made it easy to become emotionally invested in them and everything and anything that was happening between them. Then there was Joey, and how beautiful their family was becoming. As always, the Steeles are #familygoals, and they, along with Levi's and Tara's friends were awesome supporting characters. Always Her Love easily receives five stars, and I'm eagerly awaiting the next Steele to fall in love.
A*R*C for honest review with no compensation Received from Valentine PR
Always Her Love is book 4 in the Steeles at Silver Island by Melissa Foster. This is Levi and Tara’s story.
Levi at a young age became a single dad to his daughter, Joey after a one night stand. Since that time he has put love on the back burner, no time for relationships as raising his daughter is his top priority. Between Tara and his family’s support he has maintained a loving home for Joey.
Tara, a professional photographer has crushed on Levi since high school but that’s as far as it goes. She has been more of a mother to Joey than her biological one who happens to be Tara’s sister.
What happens when Levi realizes that the reason he feels comfortable with no relationships is because Tara has shown him what true love is all about. Will he opens his heart and get Tara to finally admit that he has “Always Been Her Love”? Read on to see where it all ends…
This released this week and y’all have to go get it! It’s no secret now I love this series (see last 3 posts for confirmation) and this new book was just as good as the others! I love a single parent trope, and Levi is just the utter best Dad for his little girl Joey. Getting to see their relationship in this one was so special. Friends to lovers isn’t always my jam but this one was done so well. Seeing Levi wake up and realise he’d also been crushing on Tara for quite a while was so fun, and watching him work out how to bring it up was too. This book (as I’m learning is a big thing with Melissa’s work) also covers important topics - the main one here being body positivity. And the way this was incorporated not only into Tara’s back story but also into teaching Joey lessons about it as well was so special. Tara felt so relatable to me with this side of things and my heart was sad for the little girl who never loved herself but rejoiced for the strong, beautiful woman she grew up into and learnt to love. Just go read the series please? It’s so great
First of all, I love all of these characters and the town of Silver Island. I'm obsessed with Melissa Foster's World.
This book has tension, banter, and an overload of steam.
Hot single, biker dad Levi and Tara have so much chemistry! There is a touch of forbidden love and age gap (5 years).
Tara has had a crush on Levi since she was a young teen. Even through her heartbreak, she is there for Levi and his daughter after her sister gets pregnant and leaves Levi a single dad at 20. I loved the friendship between the two and her relationship with her niece, Joey.
I could not stop turning the pages waiting for the two to finally give in and admit that they had feelings for each other. Levi knows how to flirt and turn up the heat!! He is also kind and had a huge heart.
Levi has been one of my favorite characters since I met him many books ago. A young man who would put his entire life on hold to raise his child is definitely at the top of my list. Now, I've heard of sperm donors but Joey's mom is definitely an egg donor. In the wonderful dichotomy of good and bad, the egg donor's younger sister is the opposite and has always been in Joey's life. Aunt Tara has done a lot of the things a mother would have done. She is Joey's, and Levi's, best friend.
When you have a friendship so important, do you chance acting on feelings? Do you take the chance and maybe ruin the friendship? That is what you will have to figure out as will Levi and Tara in this fantastic Melissa Foster novel.
Pick up a copy and have a great read. I have volunteered to share my review and all the opinions are 100% my own.
Melissa Foster has done it again, sharing the Steele family and their friends with us and surrounding us with the amazing community that they live in! Levi is an wonderful man, a single dad with a huge heart who focuses everything on his daughter. Tara is her aunt, who has stepped in and helped so many times along the way and has become an amazing friend to Levi.
However, Tara has had a crush on Levi since childhood, and Levi is discovering feelings that he didn't know that he had. However, they think they're off limits to each other, no matter their feelings. As Tara is trying to move away from Levi to let her feelings settle Levi is pushing his way into her life. Can they navigate a new level in their relationship? Or will testing love be the end of their friendship?
